Station square

The station square is an integral part of China train stations, serving as the first point of contact for passengers arriving at or departing from the station. This square is the main entrance to facilitate smooth transitions between buses, metro, taxis and the train station.

The waiting area includes large seating areas, divided into sections based on ticket class and destination. These areas are equipped with electronic information boards displaying train schedules. For first-class and business-class passengers, VIP lounge offers more premium services.

Platform access

You have to pass the automated or staffed gates by scanning tickets to gain access to the platforms. Then follow the sign to the platform. Platforms are clearly marked with train numbers and destinations to the correct boarding area.

The hotel is conveniently located near McDonald's, Luckin Coffee, and Ziguan Park, offering plenty of dining options for all ages. The nearby subway station also makes getting around very easy! I have to give the hotel service a perfect score 💯 – it's truly exceptional, so warm and attentive! This is such a cozy and welcoming hotel, definitely worth a stay! It's the warmest hotel I've stayed in all year! Every front desk staff member provides excellent emotional support to guests with their polite service. When guests need assistance, the service center staff respond instantly and solve problems immediately! Thank you all for your hard work!

When I first booked, I was a bit hesitant and worried that the Capital Hotel, being an older establishment, might have outdated decor and facilities. I was particularly concerned about the possibility of a musty smell, as many older hotels use carpets. However, its excellent location near Tiananmen Square, perfect for taking my child to see the flag-raising ceremony (an early start, but only a 1.4 km, 20-minute walk), ultimately swayed me, so I booked it with some trepidation. Upon checking in and entering the room, my worries completely disappeared. There were no unpleasant smells in either the hotel's public areas or our room. Plus, the hotel even upgraded us to a business king room! Although it was in the furthest corner (despite my booking request for a room not in the furthest location), the hallway wasn't long, so it was fine overall. The hotel is incredibly close to Tiananmen Square, the National Museum of China, and the Forbidden City. This was actually the only family trip we've had so far where we could walk everywhere! Another pleasant surprise was discovering a century-old ginkgo tree within the hotel grounds, which is a popular spot for many tourists and influencers. It was a fantastic stay! Just a little tip: walking out the hotel's back entrance saves you a few hundred meters when heading to Tiananmen Square, the National Museum, or the Forbidden City compared to using the front entrance. We only realized this on our last day! 😂

Seriously, the moment I walked in, the front desk lady's smile just warmed my heart! She immediately told us we could get a free room upgrade – talk about good luck, it cut my travel fatigue in half! The room itself was amazing! Bright and spotless, I even ran my hand along the corners, absolutely dust-free! It wasn't huge, but it had everything, neatly arranged without feeling cramped. And the soundproofing? Incredible! Once the window was closed at night, it was super quiet. Combined with how comfy the bed was, I practically fell asleep instantly! Breakfast was also top-notch, from Chinese congee to Western pastries, a huge variety, filling and delicious! Plus, the hotel's location is super convenient; just around the corner is a food street – perfect for a night out eating and exploring! All in all, this experience was fantastic! I've already decided this is my go-to place whenever I'm in the area! Trust me, go stay here!

Overall, I was very satisfied. Even without my ID, I could use electronic verification for check-in. And if you forget your charger, you can borrow one from the front desk. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were incredibly nice, and every employee had a smile on their face. The physical facilities met expectations, but more importantly, the soft services were also excellent, making me feel truly valued as a guest. **Service:** The in-room dining was fantastic; the roasted duck and lychee shrimp balls were delicious! You can also order takeout, and a robot will deliver it. **Facilities:** The only minor issue was with ride-hailing. When setting the destination to the hotel lobby, the navigation consistently directed drivers to the exit gate. However, this gate is exit-only and cannot be entered. I'm not sure why ride-hailing apps would navigate this way, but every time I took a taxi, I couldn't be dropped off directly at the lobby entrance. I always had to walk in from the exit gate. I hope this can be improved.

During the Chinese New Year, I brought my family to stay here, and the experience wasn't great. This time, I decided to give it another shot, and the experience has significantly improved. From the front desk to the room service, everyone was quite professional, making up for a lot of the previous negative impression. I also want to commend them for seemingly adding staff at the elevator entrance on each floor overnight. My sense of security immediately skyrocketed. I hope this excellent practice continues. There are also plenty of great food options around the hotel, which is a big plus.

Beijing Xinqiao Hotel was such a perfect start to our first trip to China! The front desk staff was helpful and attentive. The room was great, with such a cool city view!! The bed was super comfortable. Please note: there is no heating in the rooms, but they do provide warm blankets! We really appreciated all of the room amenities (especially the great smelling shampoo and conditioner!) but especially liked the bottles of water. After long days of walking it was nice to have them in the room. The hotel is bustling with tourists and the lobby is usually busy, but our room was quiet! Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious - but be warned going around 9 AM you may need to be patient to wait for a table. I received packages while there and the concierge assisted with that as well. A wonderful stay - highly recommend!!!

The room was clean and equipped with all the comforts: slippers, hairdryer, etc. The location is central, perfect for reaching most tourist attractions (especially the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square). The only downside: one evening we tried to dine on-site, but it was only available as a buffet, and we didn't find anything we liked.

The location is fantastic, making it super convenient for getting around. Wangfujing Pedestrian Street is just around the corner. It's a 5-minute walk to Exit C of Jinyu Hutong Station on Line 8. From the hotel, you can walk to the Forbidden City's Meridian Gate (Wumen) entrance for ticket checking by following the wall from Donghua Gate, which takes about 25 minutes. The room is small but has everything you need and is perfectly adequate. The breakfast is decent too; it's great to fill up before heading out for a stroll. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, highly recommend!

I stayed at TONPAI for 5 days with my elderly parents during our trip to Beijing, and it was quite good. It's very close to the subway station, with many shopping malls nearby making dining convenient. The room was spacious, and although the building is older, it was kept very clean. Hardware and Service: I booked a Deluxe King Room, which was over 30 square meters and quite roomy. The mini-fridge offered complimentary drinks daily, with 4 canned beverages (Coke, Fanta, Sprite available) and 4 bottles of Nongfu Spring water. The room had wooden floors, comfortable bedding, and a supportive mattress that provided good sleep during our stay. The only downside was the air conditioning; when it was 20 degrees Celsius outside, the room was 27 degrees, which was quite hot. We asked the front desk for a fan, and it was delivered promptly. Later, when the outside temperature dropped by 10 degrees, the room's heat issue improved significantly. There was some peeling paint on the walls, but the bathroom featured a good dry-wet separation and an independent shower stall. I particularly liked the small ledge in the shower where I could place my phone and watch shows while showering. Breakfast was plentiful, but after 5 days, I grew a bit tired of it (the small wontons and noodles were freshly cooked). The poached eggs were overcooked, so those who prefer soft-boiled eggs might be disappointed. Transportation: The hotel is actually located above New World Department Store. You can use your room card to take the elevator directly from the 5th floor of New World Department Store to your room, avoiding a detour outside. This is especially convenient as New World's B1 has Daoxiangcun and Sanhe, so you can buy your goods and head straight back to your room. The H exit of Subway Line 5 is a 5-minute walk diagonally across the street. If you book a direct bus to the Great Wall through Ctrip, the pickup point for several locations is at the G exit of Hademen Mall, also a 5-minute walk. You can comfortably have breakfast and then stroll over.

This is an older hotel with many international guests. The location is excellent, especially for seeing Mayday. It's super convenient to take the subway to the Bird's Nest. The area around the hotel is very lively. My only minor gripe is the lack of robot room service, but everything else was really good.

I didn't originally book the Hilton; the local Manxin hotel was just too subpar, with cleanliness issues and not-so-cheap prices. So, I decisively switched hotels at 11 PM. Even though it was late at night, the hotel staff, especially Lewis Du Chengling, was still incredibly enthusiastic and provided great service. Even after checking out, I returned to the hotel to pick up my luggage after dinner, and the staff proactively helped me load it into my car. The price difference between hotels wasn't significant. This hotel is right at the entrance of Wangfujing Pedestrian Street and very close to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the National Museum, making getting around very convenient. The experience was excellent. Next time I'm in Beijing, I'll definitely choose to stay at the Hilton Beijing Wangfujing again.

Family Fun | 2 Adults & 1 Child - Kids' Adventure Park Access (during stay): The little one absolutely loved the kids' club and didn't want to leave, even when I was managing the child alone, it was stress-free. The hotel is connected to a mall, making dining, shopping, and getting around very convenient. Summer Trip | In-room Mini Bar Free Refills (once during stay): Perfect for a family summer vacation. Service: The service was great. I had a fall and asked the front desk for ice for a cold compress. Environment: Our room had a view of the 'Big Trousers' (CCTV Tower).

I loved the hotel's pool. The fitness center was well-equipped, even offering dedicated areas for showering and bathing. The lobby was stunning. While the in-room facilities were a bit dated, complimentary welcome fruit was a nice touch. Everything else was pretty standard. Its location was a major plus, though ironically, for a central Beijing hotel, it felt quite inconvenient for getting around. Walking to places was a bit too far, and taking a taxi meant getting stuck in traffic no matter where you went.

My first room had a spider – I looked up right before going to sleep and it was directly above my bed. I called the front desk, and they responded promptly, moving me to a different room and upgrading me to a suite. However, due to the hotel's old facilities, the windows weren't sealed properly. Since I moved in late at night, my first impression of the suite was how cold it was, I even thought the window might be open. The room was only 20 degrees Celsius. The suite was also much larger, and from 9:30 PM until 2:30 AM, even with the AC on full blast at 28 degrees, the temperature never went up; it stayed at 20.5 degrees. I was curled up in bed, but my face was freezing, LOL. The AC heating was useless; the temperature was nowhere near comfortable for sleeping. (Later, a male AC repairman with a terrible attitude came up, looking very impatient and completely unhelpful. The only useful information he provided was that the hotel's AC doesn't blow warm air until the official heating season – which is completely ridiculous, absurd, and darkly humorous. This repairman gets a huge thumbs down. The other two male staff members who helped me switch rooms had excellent attitudes.) I wanted to switch back to a queen room, but was told they were fully booked. I then wanted to check out and get a refund, but the manager said no because it was past midnight – how was I supposed to know the AC heating was just for show? I had showered and was huddled in bed, unable to sleep due to the cold, and only called the front desk when I couldn't take it anymore! That's why it was so late. Ultimately, I had to involve Trip.com for mediation. The afternoon of the day after I checked out, on my way home, they called and said they managed to get me a 50% refund, so Trip.com is reliable. The hotel's infrastructure, however, is terrible. I could also tell that the duty manager that day tried her best, and as women, our communication was smoother and more comfortable. She even came over to explain the refund situation when I was on the phone in the lobby. The manager's attitude was excellent; she showed empathy. But if the hardware isn't good, it's just not good. Switching to a few more rooms wouldn't change the fact that the temperature wouldn't go up. In the end, after all that hassle, I went online at 3 AM the next day, booked a Hanting hotel, and took a taxi there. I finally got a good, peaceful night's sleep. At Hanting, the room temperature was normal for sleeping as soon as I entered – the contrast was stark. So now I understand why so many people choose newer hotels, those opened in recent years, after experiencing this myself. This incredibly dramatic stay completely ruined my mood for exploring Beijing. I woke up after only four hours of sleep the next day and took the high-speed train home, haha. In any case, I will definitely be avoiding this place. I've given objective ratings for each module, but there's no way to sugarcoat this experience.

Came here to play with ice and snow, but the ice park was closed, but the snow park was. Came here with children and the elderly, and booked a suite and standard room in the VIP building. The VIP building is newly renovated, the environment is very good, the lobby is large and grand, but there are relatively few guests, even on weekends. You have to drive to another building to eat and soak in the hot springs, which is a bit far to walk, and the snow park is closer to the dining place. It is worth praising that the staff of the snow park have a good attitude, a good experience, and everyone is very enthusiastic. It is worth complaining about the toilet in the snow park, which is a simple one, cold and unclean. There is only one, and you have to queue. It would be better if the snow park opened a few cafes with better environment. There is a small beverage shop with a very bad environment, which is very crowded. The elderly were sitting inside waiting for us to play with snow, but later they felt uncomfortable and went back to the hotel room. . . It is close to the city, and it takes more than an hour to drive there. . .

The JW Marriott brand standards simply don't apply here. 'Schrödinger's Pillow' – A Play in Five Acts: Act I: The Standard Promise The bedside card, as per Marriott brand custom, listed an extensive pillow menu. As a regular guest, I had no reason to doubt it. Act II: The Informed Denial I called the front desk for service and subsequently experienced a 'triple denial' from the front desk, manager Bruce, and housekeeping. However, the core issue is this: Manager Bruce explicitly admitted during our conversation that he knew 'all Marriotts can provide different pillows,' but insisted they simply didn't have them here. This implies that the entire team, fully aware of brand standards, collectively and actively misled the guest. Act III: Arrogance The next day at 10:20 AM, the duty manager, Emma Qiu, arrived late. When confronted, she nonchalantly stated, 'It's only 20 minutes late.' Upon being informed that the complaint had been escalated to Marriott headquarters, she abruptly hung up with a dismissive 'We don't have any,' disappearing without a trace. Act IV: The Reversal After enlisting the help of Ctrip, 12315 (consumer protection hotline), and other parties, the plot took a dramatic turn: Manager Emma Qiu announced that silk pillows had been available all along! So, was the entire hotel team suffering from collective amnesia last night, or were they performing a piece of performance art where 'if we say it's not there, it's not there'? Final Act: The Cost The 'ticket price' for this grand show was 1010 yuan. For the curtain call, the hotel grudgingly refunded 30%, and Ctrip, unable to stand by, covered an additional 20% out of its own pocket. In the end, you pay 500 yuan to understand the true meaning of 'managerial chaos' and 'broken promises.' This experience wasn't ultimately about the pillows; it was about the complete breakdown of trust. When a hotel can systematically deceive its guests in such a way, how much truth is left in its promises of safety, hygiene, and service? Please consider my full experience carefully. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, choose wisely.

This is one of the best hotels I haver ever stayed. It is really a premium hotel. It was luxurious, the staff was very knowledgeable and diligent. Most of them spoke great English. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. It had a great variety of dishes. The person in charge of the eggs section was incredible, he got my order just right. Steven, one of the people in the lobby personally delivered my dinner to my room. The facilities were clean and really nice. My mother and I really loved your hotel. There is some room for improvement. For instance, the hotel needs some renovations. The age of some of the rooms started showing. Nothing major but it is a just a suggestion if this hotel wants to stay on top as a 5 star hotel in Beijing. Gracias for the amazing experience. The best hotel I have stayed in Beijing so far. The hotel's facilities and external environment are quite good. The rooms are clean, quiet, and the bedding is comfortable. However, there are too many items on the bedside tables, leaving almost no usable space, which is a bit inconvenient. The outdoor air is fresh, and you can climb the mountain behind the waterfall for a distant view of Miyun Reservoir. The indoor children's play area is a decent size, with slides, trampolines, and climbing structures suitable for older children. The decor feels a bit cold and empty, but the staff providing the childcare service are very responsible. Outdoors, there's a simple vegetable patch where you can pick vegetables freely to feed rabbits and chickens, and it's lit up at night. The kids really enjoyed these two areas. The various children's craft activities were set up like temporary stalls in one of the hotel's banquet halls, which felt a bit deserted and makeshift. We didn't have time to participate. During the National Day holiday, there were many guests, and it felt like the staff were a bit overwhelmed. The overall service wasn't very meticulous, but everyone's attitude was good. The Half-Mountain Hot Spring is a public bath, but between 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM, there are very few people, making it easier to enjoy the best-viewed pools by yourself. Therapeutic treatments and dinner reservations need to be booked through the butler. Most other activities require advance booking on the mini-program, which can feel a bit cumbersome. We forgot to book dinner seats half a day in advance, and by the afternoon, we were told we'd have to wait until 7 or 8 PM. However, the in-room meal delivery service was excellent, and the food tasted good. The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of high-quality ingredients, with both Chinese and Western options, though it leans more towards Western cuisine. The restaurant's capacity is limited. We're early risers, and our dining experience before 8:20 AM was good. After that, you'd have to wait in a long queue at the entrance. At night, the hotel's outdoor areas are lit up, perfect for a walk in the comfortable temperature. You can even see the winding lights of the Great Wall in the distance. A big thank you to our butler, Vivian, for her patient service and timely, warm reminders, which made our trip smoother and more convenient 🌹.

Traveling with two adults and two children during the National Day holiday, it was tough finding a hotel, but we eventually settled on the Marriott Executive Apartments, and it turned out to be a great fit. The hotel called ahead to warn us about potential traffic controls during the holiday and suggested taking the subway. Luckily, the hotel is right on Wangfujing Street, and it's a pleasant five or six-minute stroll to Exit E3 of the Wangfujing subway station – an excellent location! While it's not specifically a family-friendly hotel, the room was super spacious. With a king-sized bed, a sofa bed, a large sofa, and three smaller ones, it was perfect for our family of four. The room was also very clean, and it came fully equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, a washer-dryer combo, and an induction cooktop, all Siemens brand appliances, and everything was spotless. After a day of battling crowds with two kids during the National Day holiday, coming back sweaty and being able to toss our clothes into the washing machine and have them clean and dry by the next morning was just amazing! The front desk staff, Fiona and Sini, and the restaurant servers, all had wonderful attitudes. They gave out dolls and fridge magnets when they saw children, and since the Mid-Autumn Festival coincided with National Day this time, they even gave us mooncakes, which was a delightful surprise. The breakfast at the restaurant, although not extensive, had all the essentials, both Chinese and Western options, including noodles and steamed dim sum. The most important thing was not having to queue for a table! Whether we went at 7 AM or 9 AM, our group of four always found seats immediately. And this was during the National Day holiday! For people like us, whose kids are in school and can only travel during peak seasons, you know how fantastic that experience is. Overall, my impression of this stay was excellent. If I had to pick a minor drawback, it would be that they only provide children's slippers, not children's toothbrushes. If you're traveling with kids like us, remember to bring your own.

When I booked, I didn't notice there were two room types. Rooms below the 11th floor are 'apartments' – very minimalist, almost too bare, which I believe 90% of guests wouldn't like. I was rushing for a business meeting, so I just dropped off my luggage. I returned around 7 PM and found the TV was a Maxhub, which I couldn't figure out. I called housekeeping for help, and a kind auntie, 'Wang Lifang', came and got it working for me. I asked, 'Are all your rooms this minimalist?' She said no, explaining that it depends on the floor, and suggested I talk to the front desk about possibly changing rooms. She mentioned that if there's availability and no price difference, a change is usually possible. I checked the day's prices against what I paid, and there was little difference (though the room types varied). So, I went to the front desk to discuss it. They understood my concerns and promptly arranged a switch to a room like the Marriott ones I'd stayed in before. Coincidentally, the TV in this new room also wouldn't turn on. I called the front desk again, and they sent someone to my room. It turned out the remote control batteries were dead, and it was 'Wang Lifang' again who helped me out. She even fixed a clicking sound coming from the AC due to a power trip. Objectively, the hotel is indeed a bit old, but the service is good and they do care about guests' feelings. However, I'd like to suggest that rooms below the 11th floor shouldn't have such a stark difference in guest experience, especially since the price difference isn't significant while the hardware quality is miles apart. This could somewhat affect the brand's image.

The hotel itself is very beautiful and the service is excellent. However, because rooms were tight, we had to wait for our room even though we arrived early. It's very close to Tiananmen Square. The rooms are spacious, and the two rooms we had were very close to each other, which was perfect. The main drawback: no one would deliver our takeout order to our room, even after calling and asking. =_= Also, on the 24th at noon, I left my room key card in the room. I asked the front desk to help open the door, and they told me to find housekeeping. Housekeeping then told me to go back to the front desk to get a new card. In the end, neither side helped me. All they had to do was swipe a key card for me, but instead, our whole family was left walking back and forth in the lobby. I was so frustrated that I eventually went upstairs and found a cleaner who, after responsibly verifying my information with the front desk, opened the door for me. This was truly terrible and a waste of such good hotel facilities. It really soured our mood.

Stayed at Jen Beijing by Shangri-La from 16-20 October 2025. If you want sleek, modern, and excellent location, this nails it. If you're after warm, personalized service, look elsewhere. The room was spotless and contemporary. Location is unbeatable, sitting right on top of an upscale mall. Daily fruit delivery was a lovely touch that showed someone's thinking about guests. The vibe is youthful and high-energy throughout the public spaces. Fair warning for introverts or anyone seeking a quieter luxury experience: the lobby is bright, colorful, with a full wall of screens and constant foot traffic from the mall below. The gym is a commercial one open to non-guests, so it's busier and less exclusive than typical hotel fitness centers. The rooms themselves are quiet and peaceful, a nice contrast to the lively common areas. But overall, staff interaction is minimal. You're essentially paying for excellent facilities and location, not personalized hospitality. No one greets you by name, remembers your preferences, or checks in on you. It's efficient and polished, but transactional. If you want attentive service where staff make you feel looked after, this isn't it. But if you prefer a stylish, self-sufficient base with great amenities and don't need much human contact, Jen Beijing delivers well. Four stars for what it is, just make sure it's what you're looking for.

Rosewood so far in term of service, in my opinion, still the best in beijing. I like how attentive they are to all the customers. They are very consistent in giving the personalised and customised service to every guests. In term of location, this hotel is located in the very center of beijing cbd. Some of their rooms have direct view to the iconic cctv tower so that you can have this iconic instaworthy moment from your room. Their foods also in another level. I've tried their in room dining and their restaurants. All of them really exceed my expectation. Red bowl so far is my favourite. Dont forget to get their manor club facilities. I think so far this is one of the best chinese hotel executive lounge experience. Another plus is almost all of their staff can speal english well. Rosewood make my china trip perfect.

I booked an Executive King Room for two nights and got upgraded to a Deluxe Suite. The staff called me before, during, and after my stay to check in, but it just so happened that all three times I wasn't available to talk. The last time, I was at the high-speed rail station checking my ticket, and it was so noisy I could barely hear 80% of what the concierge was saying, so I just kept nodding along, haha. It was a double holiday, so of course, it was crowded. They seemed a bit short-staffed, but you could tell they were trying their best. At breakfast, they prioritized serving the larger tables. As a solo diner, I felt a bit neglected, sitting in a remote corner where no servers ever passed by, qaqa. Oh well, I guess it's understandable. The lounge service, however, was excellent. They made me my favorite Whiskey Sour, which was delicious. When I mentioned I wanted to switch to a latex pillow before leaving, it arrived in my room shortly after – and the coffee was the best I've had in any hotel lounge!

The suite's details are much better than a standard room. For example, the water temperature is pre-set for you, the first round of the minibar is complimentary, there's a pot of freshly brewed tea, numerous fresh flowers, and the bathroom includes mouthwash and bath salts. During the National Day holiday, breakfast around 8 AM didn't require queuing, but by 9 AM, there was a queue. Honestly, I didn't experience any particularly special service. When I switched rooms, I left something behind, and the front desk dismissively said they didn't have it. While it wasn't extremely valuable, it was still worth several hundred yuan. After I mentioned it, there was no further follow-up, which left a pretty bad impression. Environment: The back garden is beautiful, and there's almost always a lawn wedding happening daily.

Nuo Hotel consistently wins me over. The rooms are great, the night view is decent, and the cleanliness is always on point and timely. Plus, the cleaning staff proactively provides kid-sized slippers, and the hotel maintenance is quite good. My daughter and I stayed here this time, and she loved it too. There were welcome fruits in the room, and they even gave us mooncakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival. While no one is really short on food, receiving a gift still makes you happy. All the hotel staff were incredibly nice. My daughter is quite outgoing (E-type personality), and the staff were all friendly and chatted with her for a bit. A pleasant surprise during check-in was the guqin music during afternoon tea – it felt perfectly suited. My daughter went up for a photo, and the performers were very warm and enthusiastic, which made her really happy. This time, the only downside was the ice cream at the lobby bar – it really wasn't very good. My daughter bought vanilla, took two bites, and said she didn't like it. I'm not sure if it was old or if she just didn't care for that brand's flavor. At 50 yuan per scoop, it's not cheap, so I hope they can improve it, though taste is, of course, subjective.

I saw some online reviews mentioning the hotel facilities were old, but they were actually quite decent, apart from the slightly dirty carpet. The bed was big enough, my kids could even sleep crosswise on it. The location is convenient, with metro line 2 nearby, but it's still a bit of a walk from the station. After a day of sightseeing, coming off the metro and having to walk that far with tired legs was a bit frustrating. If you plan to travel by metro daily, be prepared for the walk. Regarding the service, the two front desk staff on our first day were a bit indifferent, but the staff on the following days were very enthusiastic. Especially the duty manager on the evening of the 18th; the next morning, he specifically helped explain to the breakfast staff that because we had to leave early with a child, if it would be possible to make an exception and pack some breakfast for us. The breakfast staff initially grumbled quite a bit, but in the end, they let us pack breakfast. A big thank you to that duty manager.

Beyond its proximity to Times Square, the experience was honestly pretty mediocre. The initial room we were given faced the street and was extremely loud, with the constant roar of traffic and revving engines late into the night. We were moved to a room on the seventh floor, which overlooked a mechanical floor and also generated continuous noise. Frankly, in Manhattan, I wouldn't recommend staying near Times Square. It's simply too crowded with tourists, dirty, chaotic, and loud, unless seeing Broadway shows is your absolute priority. There's a mandatory $40 daily 'resort fee,' but it offers no amenities or services to justify the cost. The only 'perk' we found was being able to claim two pieces of fruit from the downstairs bar each day.

How about voucher for a snack or drink? The TV is really outdated and there’s no smart TV function. The lampshades were crooked and shabby room overall without any toothbrushes or anything no minibar. The breakfast area has a nice balcony but they don’t let you sit there and they put chairs blocking off places to sit too. The offerings were small but then after you get a plate of bread they show you the breakfast menu. They could put a sign in the hallway to guide guests to the breakfast area and inform guests how it works. The bedroom air conditioner was so noisy that it gave me a headache. There’s little posted information about the gym, pool, food and beverage or anything in the hotel. I used to do hotel management so wanted to point some of these things out. This place was okay, I would not book here again. It is definitely in a good spot right downstairs is Nanjing road so you have alot of shopping and food halls right outside your room. Staff is super friendly and very helpful especially the cleaning staff. Made sure we got water atleast once a day and would ask us if we need new towels if they saw us. Depending on where they put you, you may end up having to take a pretty far walk to your hotel room. You’ll need to take an elevator up to the main lobby and depending on the room you will need to take another elevator up. But if you are on an floor higher then 6 be prepared to hike to your room most inconvenient part of the stay to be honest. The room also has an AC, Heater option you can set which is very handy and a window that can open partially. The room was overall nice and clean but the compliments stop there, as the room is way to dim especially the bathroom cant really see much in there and it is also very tiny you can barely move in there. You literally cannot close the door if you’re standing at the sink or sitting on the toilet. The shower drain also has a bad smell like sewer pipes that come up when youre using the shower and it takes awhile for it to go away. The shower pressure was okay until my 3rd day there and when I showered the water pressure was non existent and limp even tho the water is being poured on my body the pressure was so low it didnt even feel like anything was hitting me. At one point the pressure dropped to 0 and it was trickling out the shower head. The next morning though it was back to normal so not sure what happened. The shower area also floods the bathrooms as we had 3 rooms and all rooms had some form of flooding post shower. And 1 was really bad. Which we complained about and they gave us another room.   They also had a laundry room with 3 small washers and 3 small dryers not ment for bulk washing, and also free detergent. The washer was good but the dryer… unless you are ready to hang dry your clothes do not wash your clothes here as we ran the clothes in the dryer for 2-3 hrs and the clothes were still damp. And when we asked the staff they told us the dryer only dries enough for it to stay damp and you will need to air dry the rest which is ridiculous. Why have a dryer when it doesn’t do what it’s meant to do? Make it make sense. Overall besides location and friendly staff there is definitely better locations to choose from. The architecture and nature blend seamlessly, truly like stepping into a Jiangnan garden-style paradise~ Inside, the delightful surprises continued 🎉. From the floral arrangements to the calligraphy and displays, an elegant ambiance permeates every corner 🍵. You can even experience scripture copying, calming your mind with ink and brush – a truly unique cultural charm that, if you know, you know! The garden view outside the window is breathtakingly beautiful, making your heart flutter. Sipping tea and enjoying the scenery, it's truly the epitome of slow living 🍃. The room features an extra-large bathtub perfect for a relaxing soak, and they even provide two different kinds of bath products. A floating breakfast is also available for those picture-perfect moments. Plus, the room is fully equipped with an air purifier and a humidifier. The service was incredibly attentive 💗. The staff were warm and considerate, as friendly as old friends~ From check-in to the various activities, everything was seamlessly smooth, and the comfort level was absolutely top-notch ✨. After adding the front desk on WeChat, they were always responsive and delivered on every request. As a mum travelling solo with 2 young children this is a dream stay. 100% would choose to stay here again for my next Disneyland visit. They have a designated private car that drops guests off at Disneyland resort line train station which is then a 5 min walk to Disneyland. To get picked up you WeChat them (with some notice) and boom the car will be there to pick you up. Unbelievable service and the staff were super nice to my rambunctious kids! The Onsen is not to be missed - actual spring waters from local Jiangsu area. I felt like I was back in japan (and I spend a LOT of my time there travelling 6-7 times every year there). If your child is over 90cm they cannot go in the opposite sex Onsen BUT my son was kindly escorted by staff and was taken through the experience alone without any problems (he can speak mandarin though which helps). There is a small playground for kids onsite but opposite the road at Bicester outlet shopping village is a HUGE playground mostly shaded which is perfect for kids and also has water play splash pads everywhere and tons of food options. I stayed one night at the Melia and one night here and this one is superior by far in every respect with the option for car pickup from Disneyland! 20 mins to Pudong Airport - easy!

This hotel, which I chose for my business trip, truly exceeded my expectations. Check-in at the front desk was swift, and I didn't have to wait long at all. They even offered a complimentary upgrade to a higher floor, mentioning it would offer a better view. The room wasn't particularly spacious, but it was spotlessly clean and free of any unpleasant odors. The bed was perfectly comfortable – neither too soft nor too hard – providing excellent rest after a tiring day of work. While breakfast wasn't luxurious, it offered warm and filling staples like congee, steamed buns, and eggs. Overall, I have no complaints and would likely choose to stay here again on my next business trip to the area.

The room was spacious, bright, clean, and tidy. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it's part of the Japanese Okura chain, which I'd stayed at before in Fukuoka and had an excellent experience with their service and breakfast. The staff here were courteous, polite, and enthusiastic. I purchased a hotel package that included a buffet lunch at the Magnolia restaurant. The food was exquisite, delicious, and served in small portions, allowing me to sample various Shanghai delicacies. The location is excellent, just about 3 kilometers from both the [untranslated location] and the Bund, easily accessible by shared bicycle. Many thanks to Trip.com for recommending such a high-quality hotel!

The Grand Central Hotel Shanghai is located next to Nanjing road so it’s very central. The decoration of the hotel looks a bit outdated which lots of golden colors and palm trees in the lobby. Upon my arrival the concierge staff helped to take out my luggage from the car and as we were walking inside he wanted to store my luggage and telling me that check in was at 2pm. I arrived at 12pm. I told him I will go to the reception first and brought my luggage with me. The receptionist checked my booked and said the room isn’t ready and asked me to wait. As I was very tired I asked how long I need to wait and he said until 2pm. I asked if I could perhaps double check at 1 pm and he said ok. I checked again at 1pm and the room wasn’t ready. Finally I got the room at about 1:40. The room size was good and the maintenance of the room was ok although a bit worn out but the decoration looks very outdated and makes the room look more old. Moreover, they had some old brochures in the room which doesn’t really apply to today’s needs such as an old Shanghai yellow pages catalogue etc. Furthermore, there was two bottles of water in the room with tags and on the tag it was clearly stated that only two bottles of water is provided per day per room and additional water bottles will be charged at 10RMB per bottle. I think this makes the hotel seem stingy, supposedly stating that it’s a five star hotel. Haven’t encountered this at hotels with lower star ratings that I stayed at. Another issue was that the HBO channel on the TV didn’t work and that was the only foreign channel on the tv for movies so perhaps international travelers wouldn’t have much to watch. My stay was so so.. the most positive aspect being the central location.

I've stayed at the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao multiple times, and I truly love this hotel in Lujiazui! Even though it's an older hotel that's been open for many years, the rooms are exceptionally well-maintained and preserved; you can't see any signs of aging! The room amenities are comprehensive, and both the bedding and toiletries are excellent. The bath products are Balmain, which are really good! This time, Ivy, the guest experience ambassador at Jin Mao, proactively contacted me before my check-in to ask about my preferences and even upgraded me to a Club River View room. I'm so grateful for her thoughtful and meticulous service! The room directly faces the Lujiazui Financial Center, and with the river view, you can clearly see the Oriental Pearl Tower. Both the night view and the daytime scenery are absolutely stunning! The Executive Lounge's afternoon tea starts at noon, and while the selection isn't huge, the evening Happy Hour is truly fantastic. The food is abundant and delicious, and it lasts a long time, from 5 PM to 8 PM! I absolutely adore the hotel's breakfast buffet. Although I missed it on my first day back in China due to jet lag, on the second day, I spent a full two hours savoring the lavish breakfast! The breakfast is divided into Chinese and Western sections. Personally, I think the Western section has a better view as it faces the river and the Oriental Pearl Tower directly, but both Chinese and Western dishes are incredibly plentiful and taste great. The breakfast on the 56th floor was so good that I didn't even bother to check out the breakfast at the Club Lounge! The hotel's location is superb; not only is it in the heart of Lujiazui, but the subway station is also right on the B1 level. It's also very convenient to take a taxi to various attractions and shopping malls in Puxi! A special thank you to the concierge department this time. My suitcase broke during my last stay at Jin Mao a week ago, forcing me to buy a new one at a mall on Nanjing Road. Since I was rushing to go abroad at the time, I had to leave my old suitcase with the concierge. I only picked it up again from the concierge a week later after returning from my trip abroad. I'm truly grateful to the concierge staff! Both this stay and my previous one, the hotel was fully booked, and almost all the guests were foreigners, with very few domestic tourists. Yet, even with such tight room availability, the hotel still reserved my preferred room type for me, which I truly appreciate! Overall, I highly recommend staying at Grand Hyatt Jin Mao! The location is super convenient, making it easy to get anywhere. The rooms are clean, tidy, and refreshing, and the beautiful views are incredibly therapeutic. It's perfect for both relaxation and enjoying the scenery!

Which travelers can conviniently go for food or shopping. The room is also clean, large and with a great view. If I stayed in higher level could have see the bund from a bird eye view, but I was placed on 9th floor, so I guess it's good enough. Then for the gym it's well equipped and traveler can still get a good workout. Overall, the hotel is located at a good position, clean, and a large room, and all it's facilities are good

The front desk staff were cold and robotic, and their work attitude was lax, which immediately made me lose interest in this five-star hotel. There were no welcome fruits, no smart toilet, no personalized service at all, and I didn't feel valued or welcomed as a guest. There were no small soaps for guests who don't like shower gel, and all the toiletries were large, fixed bottles – are they trying to prevent guests from taking them? If you want to stay in the hotel and just have a simple meal, the executive lounge offers hardly any food. This really doesn't justify my executive room rate; it's not good value for money. The breakfast environment was decent, but it was crowded, and the food wasn't particularly impressive. The sink drained slowly, and the maintenance worker initially claimed it was normal, but after actual repairs, it improved significantly. Although the hotel is old, the overall cleanliness is excellent, it's quiet, the high-floor views are great, and it's convenient for getting around with many places to explore for a city walk nearby.

Staying at the Hyatt on the Bund was the smartest decision we made during our trip to Shanghai! The hotel is right next to the Bund, just a few minutes' walk to the observation deck. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in our room were a true gem – by day, you could watch cargo ships traversing the Huangpu River with the Lujiazui 'three-piece suit' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers) clearly visible; by night, the Bund's historic buildings lit up, creating a breathtaking river view that was impossible to tear your eyes away from. The breakfast was another delightful surprise. The buffet at Aroma, located on the 2nd floor, offered such a rich variety that it was hard to choose: freshly made omelets, delicious sushi, soft pastries, fresh fruits, and a wide array of beverages – it catered to every taste. What truly stood out was the heartwarming service, especially from Lorna and Anna, who deserve special recognition! When Lorna learned we wanted a higher-floor room, she quickly arranged it despite the hotel being almost fully booked. She not only prepared our room in advance but also answered all our questions efficiently and promptly. From the views to the dining and the service, everything was impeccable. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Shanghai!

The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi · Exceptional Service from the 27th Floor Executive Team My recent stay at The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi, was one of the most memorable trips I've had lately. As someone who's stayed in countless hotels, both domestically and internationally, for business and leisure, I truly understand that while 'hardware can be similar, service is what truly makes the difference.' The 27th-floor team at The Langham, especially Zoe, Judy, Ella, and Loretta, made me experience firsthand what 'true home-away-from-home' really means! Always Smiling, Gentle Yet Firm Approachability The moment I stepped out of the elevator, I was greeted by their constant smiles. That gentle yet firm approachability instantly put me at ease after a long journey. Unlike rigid or perfunctory politeness, their smiles were genuine and natural, as if they could melt away all the fatigue of travel. Even late at night or during busy morning hours, they maintained the same positive and gentle demeanor, showing no signs of tiredness. Anticipating Guests' Needs Before They Even Ask What impressed me most was their ability to accurately anticipate my needs before I even had to ask. Zoe meticulously introduced all the hotel facilities, current promotions, and dining times, and was always responsive and accommodating. Judy, despite being busy, specifically waited in my room to help me change my evening gown. That 'one step ahead' keen insight astonished me; it showed their incredible attention to and grasp of guest needs. Professional Yet Warm In the 27th-floor team, I witnessed true 'professionalism with warmth.' They were adept at all hotel procedures: whether it was booking, late check-out, or using facilities, they handled everything swiftly and efficiently. Yet, their communication was always gentle and respectful, never making you feel pressured. They knew when to offer help but never intruded on guests' private space. This 'just right' sense of proportion is precisely the most precious quality of a five-star hotel. Team Synergy and Infectious Atmosphere Top-notch service isn't just about individual efforts; it's a reflection of the entire 27th-floor team's seamless collaboration. No matter who I interacted with, they could quickly understand my needs and efficiently follow up. That team synergy conveyed the excellent standard of hotel management. The True Meaning of Feeling at Home Many people talk about 'feeling at home,' but it wasn't until I experienced Zoe, Judy, Ella, and Loretta's service on the 27th floor at The Langham that I truly understood the weight of those words. They didn't just fulfill their duties; they treated every guest as a friend worth caring for. Whether for work or travel, I would wholeheartedly choose The Langham again and again, because it's not just a place to rest, but a home where my mind can relax and feel warmly enveloped. This stay at The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi, gave me a profound understanding of the true essence of 'top-tier hotel service.' My sincere thanks to all the ladies on the 27th-floor team. Through their smiles, attention to detail, professionalism, and warmth, they created an unforgettable journey for me. No matter where I am in the future, whenever I recall this experience, I will remember the sense of comfort and warmth they brought me. If hardware is the foundation of a hotel, then these genuine and passionate service staff are the true soul of The Langham. Thank you for helping me find a long-lost sense of belonging in my busy life.

My Reflections on My Stay at the Fairmont Peace Hotel, Shanghai The moment I stepped into the Peace Hotel, it felt as if I'd traveled back a century. The Art Deco architectural aesthetic immediately enveloped me, its dark green copper roof shimmering in the sunlight, while inside, the octagonal stained-glass ceiling and antique bronze chandeliers in the lobby complemented each other beautifully. Every detail exuded an 'old money' elegance, refined by time, instantly soothing away the fatigue of my journey. The meticulousness of the service throughout my stay was truly impressive. From the patient guidance during check-in to the impeccable housekeeping service, the staff consistently maintained a polite and discreet demeanor, never intrusive, yet always promptly responsive when needed, truly making guests feel at home. The guest rooms skillfully blended vintage charm with modern amenities, offering contemporary comforts while retaining the exquisite allure of old Shanghai. Opening the window, I could feel the vibrant pulse of the Bund, and at night, drifting off to sleep with the city's tranquility felt exceptionally peaceful. Breakfast each morning was another delightful highlight. The abundant spread catered to both Western and Chinese palates, featuring fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Dining in the restaurant to soft background music truly set a wonderful tone for the day. During my leisure time, I indulged in the hotel's spa, where professional techniques thoroughly soothed my body and mind. The gym was well-equipped and immaculately maintained, making it easy to maintain my fitness routine even while traveling. Staying here wasn't merely about booking a room; it was an immersive journey into history and luxury. As I looked back at the iconic building upon departure, I felt a genuine reluctance to leave. With its century-long heritage and genuinely thoughtful service, the Peace Hotel truly exemplifies what an 'unforgettable stay' means.

Overall, a decent budget stay for NYC. We appreciated the separate bunk beds for my sister and I, but we did find stains in the bedsheet and had to ask for a new set. Also, perhaps it’s summer, but the beds didn’t have actual duvets or comforters; there were thin throw blankets. Also, the pillows were super soft and had an odd smell so I didn’t end up sleeping with pillows. The cleaning lady on my floor was very friendly though and offered to change our towels and empty our trash everyday. The other typical hotel room amenities (toothbrush, toothpaste, water, etc.) were not provided. Location is great and very central to NYC so no complaints there. We also used the luggage storage and airport car service. We checked out at noon, went out for lunch, and came back to the car we booked. The prices are very reasonable: we paid $90 (+$10 tip) for a car to JFK that fit two people and four suitcases. A great deal compared to the at least $150 on Uber. Overall a decent stay in NYC if you are on a budget.

A perfect stay! Guangzhou Jianguo Hotel's attention to detail and delicious food were a delightful surprise. My stay at Guangzhou Jianguo Hotel, from stepping into the lobby to checking out, was filled with thoughtful service every second – an absolutely amazing experience. First off, a big shout-out to Ms. Xu Shuyue at the front desk! The moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and a very friendly tone, making me feel instantly at ease. She processed my check-in efficiently and proactively asked if we had any special requests, kindly arranging a room with a view for us. She not only provided detailed information about nearby parking and breakfast times but also went the extra mile to remind us about minor details like, “If you want to adjust the air conditioning temperature in your room, just give us a call.” This level of thoughtfulness truly warmed my heart. Following Ms. Xu Shuyue's recommendation, we tried the Cantonese restaurant on the fourth floor, and it certainly didn't disappoint! The restaurant's ambiance was exceptionally elegant, with soft lighting and gentle music, making it very relaxing to sit down. The dishes were both visually appealing and delicious – each one felt like a meticulously crafted work of art. The signature dishes were incredibly smooth and delicate, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident with every bite. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide selection of both Chinese and Western dishes. Whether you prefer sweet or savory, you'll find something you like. I got a box of 'Jin Yue' which was great and reasonably priced. The hotel staff were very thoughtful. Since we arrived too early and our room wasn't ready, Mia kindly brought us bottled water while we waited in the lobby and patiently answered all our questions! Really good. The service was excellent too; the front desk upgraded my room directly, and the room was quiet. I'm picky about pillows and need neck support pillows, which they had for both adults and children. Outstanding Experience! Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The hotel is impeccably clean, and the rooms are modern and well-maintained. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious, offering a wide variety of options. We particularly loved the heated swimming pool, which was also very clean and well-maintained. Special thanks to the following staff members who made our trip even more wonderful: Juan (娟) from the front desk, who went out of her way to help us use the mobile app and use it to book a taxi for the first time. Seto (司徒師傅) from the restaurant, who was also very friendly and gave us great recommendations on the best places to eat in the city. The only downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the subway (about a 10-15 minute walk), and the road can be a little quiet at night. However, this wasn't a problem for us once we learned how to use the mobile app for taxis, which are very affordable in the city. This hotel is truly unforgettable! I stayed here during the Chinese New Year, and it exceeded all my expectations. For the National Day holiday, my husband insisted we return, even giving up our plan to visit the White Swan Hotel, and we came back here! Every detail is a pleasant surprise, making it hard not to fall in love with it and enhancing our vacation experience! The 'old money' vibe isn't just about wealth; it's steeped in history and heritage, with a rich Cantonese flair and cultural depth. Despite its age, the hotel facilities are far from outdated. The public areas are adorned with antique furniture everywhere, exuding a sense of quality and the glory of Guangzhou's legendary old hotels. The opulent entrance is a given. The garden restaurant, with its waterfall and lush greenery, is a popular spot for afternoon tea, where you can effortlessly snap Instagram-worthy 'life photos'. We didn't get a chance to photograph the famous grand spiral staircase this time, but it's truly imposing! The hotel boasts a comprehensive range of facilities, including bars, Cantonese, Japanese, and Italian restaurants. I specifically looked it up, and there are apparently seven or eight different dining options within the hotel. It even has its own museum, worth exploring in detail. The Cantonese tea house on the second floor is beautiful, emanating an authentic 'old Guangzhou' atmosphere, with festive decorations. My husband and I finally tried the dim sum this time; the taste was good, though not cheap – I'd recommend using a package deal for better value. We've visited during two peak holiday periods, and the service has been excellent both times. We were even upgraded to our favorite suite type, which was a thoughtful touch! Our happiness index was off the charts. I always pay close attention to the gym, and this one is like a 'sky palace' within the hotel – quite beautiful and spacious, with a full range of equipment. Running while overlooking the pool, watching foreign guests leisurely swim, gives you a relaxed, 'slow living' vibe. The staff's service attitude is also exceptionally good. We were on the 16th floor, and a young lady who had just walked past us actually turned back specifically to greet us. It truly feels like a home away from home, as my husband put it. The hotel is vast, allowing for leisurely strolls and appreciation, with ever-changing scenery that's a feast for the eyes! In short, this is an excellent hotel that you wouldn't tire of revisiting for a second or third time. For the price, it's incredibly good value!

A nostalgic trip spanning 40 years, with one night each at the White Swan Hotel and Garden Hotel. On the 24th floor, the south-facing view is expansive, and you can even glimpse the Canton Tower in the distance. They provide 6 bottles of Zhaoding mountain spring water in the room, and you can pick up more at the elevator on each floor – a big plus! The only downside was the quality of the dinner buffet on the 30th floor, which wasn't great, but the breakfast the next day, in the same location, was delicious! Between the two hotels, I'd recommend the White Swan Hotel!

This hotel was absolutely fantastic, completely exceeding my expectations. Lelly at the front desk provided excellent service, always ready to help with anything we needed! When I first booked, I was hesitant because of the older decor. I worried that an older hotel might have worn-out facilities and soft, sticky, sunken carpets. However, upon checking in, those fears were completely unfounded. While the decor is classic, it's exceptionally well-maintained, showing no signs of age. The hotel service was outstanding. Since we were staying for several nights, they even upgraded our room. It was my first time staying in an executive suite, and it was such an amazing experience! The outdoor pool on the 4th floor is also excellent – it's heated, a good depth, and during the National Day holiday, it was open until 11 PM, which made the kids incredibly happy. This hotel alone makes me want to visit Guangzhou again, and next time I do, I will definitely stay at the China Hotel.

A truly warm and welcoming hotel! Hope it continues to thrive! I booked this hotel based on reviews because I had a connecting flight in the morning. We arrived at the airport in the middle of the night, gave them a call, and within ten minutes, a dedicated car was there to pick just the two of us up. When we checked in, the front desk attendant thoughtfully informed us that there was late-night supper in the insulated cabinet and asked if we wanted to book a car to the airport for the next morning. Honestly, when you're traveling, it's these kind, thoughtful gestures that really make a difference. The room offers great value for money; don't compare it to places that cost thousands. The room even had mosquito repellent and an electronic mosquito coil, showing they've thought of everything! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I have a layover in Guangzhou!

Extremely close to T1 Terminal, just across the road from Gate 12 of the airport's departure hall. The day before check-in, a hotel staff member thoughtfully called to ask if I had any special requests. Since I was checking in late and leaving early, they arranged a suitable room for me as requested. Additionally, I needed to get to T2 Terminal around 3 AM. After checking in, I just mentioned it to the hotel concierge, and they arranged a minibus to drop me off right at the T2 airport entrance. It was incredibly hassle-free and only took 5 minutes to reach the destination. Truly convenient for anyone with an early morning flight!

This family-friendly hotel truly brought us a delightful and joyful experience during our stay with the kids. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were captivated by the whimsical, child-themed decor. The hotel features a dedicated kids' play area, complete with soft play equipment and slides; our child didn't want to leave once they got in. Moreover, the hotel regularly organizes parent-child activities such as DIY crafts and parent-child dance classes, allowing children to learn new skills and make new friends even while traveling. The room design was also very thoughtful. Not only did it include special toiletries for children, but also facilities like a children's bed and a small tent, making kids feel like they were in their own little world. The hotel staff's service attitude was exceptional; they were incredibly attentive to the children's needs, always warmly interacting with them whenever they met, which made the kids feel right at home. The hotel's dining experience is also worth mentioning. The restaurant offered a wide variety of nutritious and child-friendly meals. The dining environment was also perfect for families, with specially designed seating and tableware for children, adding to their enjoyment during meals. Overall, this family hotel excelled in every aspect—facilities, service, and dining—completely meeting our family's needs. We will definitely choose this place again if we have the chance, and we highly recommend it to other families with children!

The room was spacious, bright, and reasonably clean, though I did notice some sticky residue on the vanity, seemingly left by the previous guest. The hotel boasts numerous hot spring pools on the hilltop and in grottoes, and the swimming pool is perfect for those looking to exercise. Surrounded by mountains, the air quality is excellent. We found the crayfish to be decent. However, I was disappointed that the complimentary beer, which was advertised, is apparently no longer offered after July. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety of dishes. A significant drawback for us was the scarcity of EV charging stations; we couldn't find an available spot to charge our car. Given that the hotel has been open for 10 years, some of its facilities are starting to show their age. Overall, it was an acceptable experience.

Choosing Muliangzhuang Hotel in Huadu for this vacation was absolutely the right decision – it definitely deserves five stars! The moment I stepped into the hotel, the strong Southeast Asian vibe instantly caught my eye. The lobby was surrounded by lush greenery, with stone paths underfoot and bamboo woven lamps overhead. It felt just like being on an overseas holiday, instantly putting me at ease. During check-in, the staff were warm and professional. They quickly got everything sorted for me and thoughtfully introduced the hotel's facilities and activities. My appreciation for the hotel instantly shot up. My lake view room was absolutely fantastic! The room was spacious and bright, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered an unobstructed view of the picturesque lake and mountains outside, like a natural painting. The huge, soft bed ensured I had a great night's sleep. The bathroom design was also very thoughtful, with a separate wet and dry area, and an extra-large bathtub. After a tiring day, a soak in the tub melted all my fatigue away. The hotel's amenities were also very extensive. The outdoor pool was crystal clear and beautifully designed, with sun loungers and parasols nearby. It was incredibly relaxing to sunbathe and swim there. The Muliang Qingquan Hot Spring is also a must-visit, offering several unique hot spring pools. After a soak, my skin felt noticeably better. For families with children, the outdoor kids' play area and indoor kids' club are a paradise. With a wide variety of play facilities, children can have endless fun. The dining experience was also excellent. The buffet breakfast at Sui Shi Fang Western Restaurant offered a rich variety of options, including Chinese hot congee and steamed buns, as well as Western bread and bacon. Everything tasted great, setting me up for an energetic day. The Cantonese cuisine at Yang Chinese Restaurant was truly exceptional. The ingredients were fresh, and the cooking brought out wonderful flavors, making every dish unforgettable. There are also many interesting places to visit around the hotel. European Town and Jiulong Lake Scenic Area are just a few minutes' drive away, perfect for sightseeing and photo opportunities. This stay was absolutely fantastic, and I'll definitely choose this place again for my next vacation!

Cleanliness: I went to the hot springs in the morning and saw the staff diligently cleaning the pools and refilling them, which made me feel very reassured about the hygiene. I hope they continue to maintain this standard. Environment: The supreme hillside villa offers excellent views, highly recommended. Honestly, the hotel isn't new, but I think the environment and room cleanliness are still quite good. My child absolutely loves it here and wants to come back again and again. Service: Most of the staff are friendly, which is quite good among the hot spring hotels in Conghua. The lobby manager is very modest and proper, has high emotional intelligence, and works very hard to enhance the guest experience. My two favorite hot spring hotels in Conghua are Talley and Imperial Springs. Talley has a much wider variety of hot springs.

I've stayed at this hotel several times, and each visit has been consistently satisfying. This time, my husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I had informed the hotel in advance, requesting a quiet room away from the main areas and also mentioning our anniversary. The hotel really took this to heart and arranged a special setup for us, with roses and a card in our room. It was incredibly thoughtful. They also proactively upgraded us to a room with a bathtub. The hotel's service remains excellent, as always, and all the staff are very friendly. The front desk attendant who checked me in on previous visits was still there, and he remembered my preferences, preparing extra water and my favorite drinks in the room before I even arrived. The upgraded room this time was on the 7th floor, a floor I hadn't stayed on before. The view and the air quality were both excellent. They've also added a smart voice control system, changed the flooring color, and made some minor renovations that have made it even better and more beautiful than before, with a more spacious feel. The bathroom now features a wet/dry separation, and the bathrobes have been replaced with a new, very comfortable style. The room was spotlessly clean; the floors and carpets were immaculate, showing great attention to detail by the housekeeping staff. They've added a laundry room and a gym on the 7th floor, with another gym on the 6th floor. It seems their business is thriving, and their facilities are becoming more comprehensive. All the gym equipment has been replaced and is now better and offers more functions than before. As for breakfast, compared to last year, they've added freshly made rice noodle rolls, which I know are a very authentic Guangzhou breakfast delicacy. The chef prepared them deliciously, which was a very pleasant surprise. For the late-night snack, they've also added desserts, specifically traditional sweet soups. They were very refreshing, and the iced jelly was particularly good; I personally loved it. Overall, this is basically my go-to hotel every time I visit Guangzhou. Their staff are all incredibly nice, the service is excellent, and the cleanliness and hygiene are perfectly maintained. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it to everyone.

This time we chose the Four Seasons for our family trip, and honestly, it was a bit underwhelming. The facilities are indeed excellent, with great attention to detail, and the housekeeping staff was responsive and very polite. I had originally booked a Deluxe City View Twin Room. The front desk offered an upgrade to a room with a view of the Canton Tower for an extra 699, so I casually asked if a free upgrade was possible. Their response felt very stiff; they said no, stating that you only get the Canton Tower view if you upgrade. To be honest, when I stayed at the Rosewood, I booked a room directly facing the Canton Tower, so it's not like I haven't seen it before. Since I was already there, I was fine with paying the extra, but their rigid response left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn't experience any of the concierge service that others mentioned in reviews; I guess they were just too busy due to the National Day holiday. What was even more unbelievable was the F&B department. We had two breakfasts included. My husband went down alone to eat and tried to pack some for me. A server from the F&B department not only lectured him but also stared intently, which was a first for me. I mean, we had two breakfasts included! This kind of service is just *fantastic*... The two stars I gave for service are solely for the housekeeping department.

Our comfortable stay at Shangri-La began with a smooth check-in handled by Ms. Joice Yang. As it was the Mid-Autumn Festival, we received mooncakes upon arrival. Our river-view room offered a stunning vista, and we even caught a glimpse of fireworks over the Hong Kong-Macau border from our window at night. The changing rooms were spotless, and I loved the swimwear dryer, which made drying my swimsuit super quick. They also had a sauna (dry and wet), a warm-water jacuzzi, and provided rubber slippers, towels, bathrobes, hairdryers, combs, and cotton swabs. There's an indoor pool on the 4th floor and an outdoor pool on the 1st floor. The outdoor pool is divided into several sections with different depths, and you can move between them without getting out of the water. The shallow end even has an inflatable slide and occasional bubbles, which the kids absolutely loved. We were very satisfied and will definitely be back!!!

My overall stay was a mix of 'outstanding highlights with minor flaws.' If 10 is a perfect score, I'd give it a 9. **Rating Breakdown:** * **Location & Accessibility (9.5/10): Flawless!** Situated in the heart of Zhujiang New Town, seamlessly connected to K11. Shopping, dining, and sightseeing are incredibly convenient. * **View & Scenery (9.0/10): Stunning and captivating!** The high-altitude city views or tower views are fantastic, especially at night. The slight deduction is due to the window frames in some rooms, which can slightly obstruct photos. * **Room Hardware (Hotel) (7.0/10): Showing signs of age!** The overall design is good, but some details are poorly maintained, such as uneven carpets and wear and tear on certain fixtures, which detracts from the experience. * **Dining Experience (9.0/10): A major highlight of the hotel!** The Cantonese cuisine at Guangyu Xuan is truly excellent and worth a special trip. Breakfast and the bar also maintain a high standard. * **Service Experience (Residences) (9.0/10): Attentive and professional!** The front desk remembered guests' names, and service was proactive and responsive. I felt respected, which is the standard one expects from a high-end hotel. * **Service Experience (Hotel) (6.5/10): Inconsistent service is a major drawback!** At times warm, at times indifferent. Slow response times and a lack of proactiveness lowered the overall impression and don't align with the brand's positioning. * **Facilities & Maintenance (7.0/10): Needs improvement!** The pool and gym facilities themselves are good, but issues like buckling carpets and slow-draining bathtubs pose safety hazards and discomfort. **Tips for future guests:** 1. **Prioritize the 'Rosewood Residences':** If service quality and privacy are important to you, I highly recommend spending a bit more to choose a suite in the Residences. This almost guarantees a consistent, high-quality experience. 2. **Manage expectations for 'Hotel' service:** If you choose the main hotel building due to views or budget, maintain realistic expectations for the service. It might be great, or it might just be 'passable.' Don't have overly high hopes. 3. **Definitely book restaurants in advance:** If you plan to dine at Guangyu Xuan within the hotel, make reservations well in advance, or you're likely to miss out. 4. **Who is it suitable for:** This hotel is perfect for travelers seeking a fashionable landmark and high-altitude views, as well as couples celebrating special anniversaries. Guests with extremely high expectations for service details might need to exercise caution when choosing the main hotel building. In summary, the Rosewood Guangzhou is a 'specialized student.' It boasts a top-tier location, stunning views, and exceptional dining, but it repeatedly falls short in service consistency and facility maintenance. As a guest, I appreciate its grandeur but also regret that it couldn't achieve perfection.

I came for the CICF exhibition and accidentally booked a twin room. I contacted customer service, and within half an hour, they confirmed I could switch to a king-sized bed, which I really appreciated. The room was comfortable, and they even upgraded me to an executive floor upon arrival. Breakfast at the front desk was 130 RMB; the quality was decent, though 'white people food' (Western options) dominated (there are many foreign guests, even more so than at the Westin next door). The room was very comfortable, but the wet/dry separation was a bit awkward. Overall, it met five-star quality standards. It's a 13-year-old hotel, yet the in-room facilities are still clean and tidy. The only downside is the strange and unintuitive logic for the light switches in the room, with poor labeling – I hope they can add voice control. With room vouchers, the daily rate of 500 RMB is incredibly good value for money, offering the ultimate combination of comfort and affordability in the Pazhou Exhibition area (compared to 700 RMB at the Westin next door).

After checking in, you can just freshen up and go to sleep, getting a good night's rest for the next day's journey. The young lady at the front desk who checked me in around 3 PM was very professional and exceptionally polite. The hotel room was spacious, and the bed was huge. It's an older hotel, which is perfectly understandable, and for just an overnight stay, I think it was comfortable and totally fine. However, I really need to mention the hotel breakfast, which I believe needs significant improvement. Firstly, there's very little variety. Secondly, it seemed unhygienic or perhaps the food wasn't fresh... My husband and I both got diarrhea after eating breakfast and returning to our room! My stomach started hurting in the elevator on the way back to the room after breakfast, and I almost didn't make it to the toilet in time. Before eating, we were both perfectly fine with no discomfort, as we always use the restroom after waking up in the morning. I distinctly remember everything I ate for breakfast, and I didn't even eat much! I had a small bowl of dace fish, peanut, and pork bone congee, two small pieces of boiled corn, a tea egg, two small cups of hot milk, a small cup of hot blackberry tea, a little vegetable salad, and four small multigrain buns (I gave one to my husband). Unexpectedly, I had diarrhea all day yesterday, and I'm still feeling weak at work today.

【Absolutely outstanding luxury experience!】My stay at the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen was simply perfect! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Luohu, making shopping and getting around incredibly convenient. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and check-in was a breeze. The room was spacious and bright, and the luxurious, comfortable bedding ensured a great night's sleep. I particularly want to highlight the amazing food at the Grand Club – the quality was stunning, and I'm still thinking about the lobster dishes! The pool and gym facilities are top-notch, perfect for complete relaxation. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this is the ultimate choice! First of all, a big thank you to Trip.com Concierge! Always available 24/7 for Trip.com members! I placed an order at 5:55 PM that day and used Trip.com Concierge to request a ”high floor, (subject to room availability) room upgrade.” Arrived at the hotel at 8:00 PM... There was no doorman, security, or bellhop from the hotel staff... The only person at the front desk was a guy wearing black-rimmed glasses! When checking in, I asked if he had seen the Trip.com notes... He said he hadn't but directly upgraded me to a suite (1638). I'd like to express my gratitude for that! Since there was no bellhop, we had no choice but to drag our luggage directly to the room... The door stopper for the room door (see picture 2) was broken, and the hallway leading to the room was completely dark when the door was opened (see picture 1) (this was taken after closing the door). (There's no light in the hallway from the closed door to the middle of the room.) Fumbling in the dark, I found the slot for the power card and inserted the room's own power card. I was still carrying my luggage, and the door wasn't held by the door stopper... My companion, who was following behind with luggage, was hit by the door! It hurt a lot! So I contacted the hotel staff through Trip.com Concierge to report the issue... We waited in the room for over an hour! Around 9:30 PM, Ms. Liu, the hotel's night shift manager, came to the room and told us that there was an emergency light in the hallway near the room that we could use! However, the entrance to the hallway was indeed very dark (I wonder why the hotel designed it that way?). Manager Liu immediately offered to move us to a twin room on the 17th floor or an executive king room on the 24th floor... We asked if we could pay extra (make up the difference) to upgrade to an executive suite? (The hotel's mini-program was down that night, so we couldn't see the hotel prices. Manager Liu said we could refer to the prices on Trip.com and that they could offer some discount, but she would need to ask her supervisor for approval.) Manager Liu advised against upgrading to an executive suite that night! We accepted Manager Liu's suggestion! And we were touched by Manager Liu's sincerity! After all, it's rare for a hotel's on-duty manager to consider the guests' needs! Ms. Liu, the hotel's night shift manager, is diligent and responsible! She conscientiously informed us that all deluxe suites were sold out that night and that the executive suites had some leakage due to the typhoon! We did see towels placed on the windowsill of room 2438 at the time! Manager Liu also consulted with her colleagues in engineering! Manager Liu showed us a total of three rooms! We said we were fine returning to 1638 (the retro-style room was also quite unique... it was a suite after all). Manager Liu warmly invited us to stay in the king room on the executive floor on the 24th floor! During our discussions and room viewings, we also got a general idea of the hotel's layout (below the 16th floor is not renovated – 80s/90s five-star hotel luxury style, once glorious – above the 17th floor is newly renovated, with a brighter and livelier style). Manager Liu was also very thoughtful and had the front desk remake the room cards and send them up! Manager Liu also informed us that the hotel doesn't offer room service after 11:00 PM and personally came to the room to deliver two bottles of water! We once again felt Manager Liu's sincerity!! Ms. Liu, the night shift manager, is from Northeast China and is very warmhearted! Manager Liu represented the hotel in resolving the issue, and we could feel the hotel's warmth! We chose to stay! Manager Liu also informed us that we could extend our stay in the current room! Here, I would like to thank Ms. Liu, the hotel's night shift manager, and the hotel's night shift? Or perhaps the day shift? The guy at the front desk wearing black-rimmed glasses! It's not scary to have problems... what's scary is not having an attitude... Once the problem is solved, Trip.com guests will still give your hotel a 5.0 rating!

Shenzhen Kempinski Hotel - Excellent Service from Julia My recent stay at the Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen left a deep impression, all thanks to Julia's thoughtful service. When I checked in, she proactively provided information about local transportation. Upon learning I was there for a business trip, she kindly informed me about the hotel's meeting room facilities and express printing services – truly attentive to every detail. During my stay, I casually mentioned some discomfort in my neck. To my surprise, when I returned to my room that evening, I found an extra latex pillow. It turned out Julia had specially arranged for it to be sent. Later, when I needed a late check-out, she quickly helped communicate and resolve it. Her service throughout was efficient and genuinely heartwarming. The hotel itself boasts a superb location and comfortable bedding, but Julia's service truly enhanced the feeling of being at home. Her unobtrusive yet consistently considerate care was unforgettable. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Shenzhen!

The location is superb, easily accessible via Metro Lines 1 and 5. Yifangcheng shopping mall is just across the street, which is very close and convenient. The hotel boasts a serene environment, occupying its own entire complex. There's a lake with ducks, which children particularly enjoyed. There's also a charming coffee book bar. The rooms are clean and tidy, perfect for family stays. Guests can also do laundry, and there's a balcony with hangers for drying clothes. The only minor drawback is the lack of a TV in the room. Sometimes, when you don't feel like going out, there's genuinely nothing to do. Given the room rate isn't particularly low, it would be much better if breakfast were included. This is especially true since the breakfast variety is quite limited, and at 38 yuan per person, it feels a bit pricey. Furthermore, our room faced the street, and while the balcony's glass door offered excellent sound insulation from outside, the soundproofing between rooms was quite poor. On our first night, we could clearly hear a child in the adjacent room still yelling loudly at 10 PM!

This hotel has a wonderfully Zen-like ambiance with intricate design details everywhere you look. The afternoon tea and breakfast were both excellent. We also received a complimentary one-hour sound bowl session. The coffee and croissants nearby are highly recommended. Within 100 meters, there's a beachfront restaurant perfect for photos, and a charming little shop with a wide array of wellness products. About 800 meters further, you'll find many seafood restaurants. We snagged a great group deal for over 100 RMB, which was enough for two people and included fresh seafood! We chose to hike 4 kilometers to Akarana along the coastline, where we caught the most stunning sunset. Overall, it was a very happy and satisfying stay.

This guesthouse stay was absolutely amazing! From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by its exquisite design. The interior decor is simple yet stylish, with every corner thoughtfully arranged and decorative items that show a real artistic touch. The outdoor courtyard is also fantastic, with white archways, lush greenery, and a sparkling pool. When the lights come on at night, the ambiance is incredible, making you feel like you're in a romantic resort. The comfort level was beyond words; the bedding in the room was incredibly soft and felt great against the skin – lying on it was like being wrapped in a cloud, and I slept soundly until I woke up naturally. The amenities were also complete, convenient to use, and felt high-quality. The bar in the common area had a really chic design; sitting on a high stool with a drink was incredibly relaxing. And the scenery was simply stunning! The large window in the room was like a 'picture frame.' During the day, you could see green trees, distant mountains, and water under blue skies and white clouds, offering a wide-open view that instantly brightened my mood. In the evening, the sunset glow spilled in, painting the sky a warm yellow – it was so beautiful I couldn't tear my eyes away. Any photo taken looked like a postcard. The hygiene was also very reassuring; the furniture and bathroom in the room were spotless, without a speck of dust, and the bedding and towels smelled fresh. You could really feel the guesthouse's strict attention to hygiene, making for a very comfortable and worry-free stay.

On my first day visiting Shenzhen from Foshan, I kicked off my city exploration by continuing to expand my 'Shenzhen Coffee Map'... For hotel enthusiasts, the JW Marriott brand under the Marriott group holds a significant place, and for coffee lovers, Peet's Coffee is a definite favorite. This lobby lounge is quite unique among luxury hotels, as it's a collaboration with Peet's, proudly displaying their iconic sign. It's located on one side of the lobby on the first floor of the JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen, less than 300 meters from Exit J1 of Chegongmiao Metro Station. The overall design style is right up my alley: dark wood, marble, and grey fabric accents create a sophisticated and grand atmosphere. The bathroom was decent, with a bathtub in the shower area, though it overlooked a construction site. The hotel's guest services team, especially the loyal customer manager, was professional and attentive! My entire stay was fantastic! Facilities: The hotel facilities are very complete. Cleanliness: It was very clean. Environment: The environment was surprisingly pleasant. I even saw some nice scenery from the hotel's rooftop garden. It's quite a unique view for such a busy place as Shenzhen Airport. Service: The hotel service was excellent. For passengers flying, they even offer the convenient service of going through first-class security. The express check-out point is right on the way to the airport terminal, so you don't have to go back to the front desk, which is very thoughtful. Among airport hotels, this Hyatt at Shenzhen Bao'an Airport is truly well-designed. The first-class security and fast check-out are both very useful. Upon entering the room, there's a very special design: the hotel, knowing it's close to the airport runway, was clearly concerned about disturbing guests' sleep. Inside the outer window of the guest room, there's another floor-to-ceiling door. I tried it myself, and opening and closing this window/door makes a huge difference in noise perception. Being able to sleep peacefully without noise at an airport hotel felt pretty good.

Since the hotel has a pool, it would be great if they could provide a drying rack on the balcony. I called the service center to ask if they could provide one, and the front desk told me to wait for a callback, but I never heard back. ## Hygiene: The hygiene was good. Although it's an older hotel, it was clean. ## Environment: The environment was excellent. The hotel is located in the city center, making it very convenient to get to all the surrounding attractions. There's a restaurant across the street, and it's within walking distance of the Xiaonanmen morning market. To get there, turn left out of the hotel, walk straight until you see the sign for Daxue East Road, turn left and continue straight until you see a steamed bun shop, then turn right and walk straight, crossing a traffic light, and you'll be there in about 15 minutes. The hotel's decor is quite nice, but unfortunately, I was out early and back late every day, so I didn't get to appreciate it properly. On the first day, I was so tired from climbing Mount Laojun that I decided not to go out in Xi'an and just slept until noon at the Luoyang hotel. Then I took a sleeper train and slept again, only arriving at the hotel after 10 PM. I spent a whole day recuperating. The hotel has a cat cafe, but I'm allergic to cat dander. I actually love small animals, so it was a bit of a shame. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and answered all my questions, and the housekeeping aunties were also great. They came to clean and tidy the room every day, unlike some hotels where you need to remind them or hang a sign. The room was spacious, the mattress was very comfortable, and even the toothbrushes were nice. The hotel even provided lotion, which was incredibly thoughtful. For us, who had been battered by the cold winds in the Northeast, it was an absolute lifesaver. There's a laundry room with a dryer on the fifth floor. I originally planned to wash my down jacket, but thankfully, the front desk attendant reminded me to check the washing instructions, otherwise, my beloved jacket would have been ruined. And it turns out my clothes couldn't be dry-cleaned, they had to be hand-washed and air-dried. Thanks to her, my wallet was saved! Although the room faced the street, it was very quiet. My parents were both very satisfied. We stayed for four consecutive days and originally planned to extend our stay, but then we went to Hukou Waterfall and completely exhausted ourselves. It had been too long since I took a long-distance bus—over nine hours! I also booked a small group tour of 20 people, and the seats were considered comfortable. Still, I felt very tired. For the Terracotta Warriors, I bought a Ctrip direct bus ticket. I took a taxi to the East Gate of some theater (I forgot the name), which was a starting fare. It was 25 yuan per person for a one-way trip, and 30 yuan on site. Remember, don't listen to the tour guide on the bus, and don't book Ctrip's 178 yuan package that includes tickets, a guide, and a buffet. I already stepped on a huge landmine. It's a scam, a disguised shopping tour. The commentary was terrible, focusing entirely on selling Lantian jade. A staff member in a blue vest led us into the exhibition hall, and many people thought he was the guide. I was even pushed into buying an XR project for 138 yuan per person 😂😂😂, and the people on the bus kept heavily recommending various performances. When they handed us over to the actual guide, my goodness, they were like Nezha reincarnated, riding on wind and fire wheels! Seriously, if you're traveling with elderly people, absolutely do not go. If I didn't have a 300 deposit to get back for that terrible audio guide, and 40 yuan per person for a buffet where I didn't know where to eat, I would never have followed. They took us to see that broken jade, wasting half an hour of my time! If you love history and the Terracotta Warriors, hiring a private guide yourself is definitely better. This kind of disorganized guiding is not acceptable; it literally made my dad's legs swell up. The experience was very bad. Avoid this, everyone. I've gone off-topic, but this trip to Xi'an was really exhausting. It might also be because I'd been on a big tour of the Northeast for almost a month, and my physical strength was depleted. I went to Changbai Mountain and Mount Laojun, and I wasn't nearly as tired! After going to the Terracotta Warriors and Hukou, I was completely out of power. I lay down all day yesterday, and half of today. My parents said they really couldn't play anymore, so we had to head home. I originally planned to go to Chongqing and then Yichang and head south, but alas, no more playing for now. I'll definitely come back to this hotel next time. I've already recommended it to friends. My friend's child is going to have an autumn break soon and plans to visit Xi'an.

The standard is Hilton’s so overall very good. Some staff speaks English, which was handy, and overall the personnel was very kind and pleasant. The breakfast is amazing. Only down sides: managing the light switches in the room is somehow complicated and the room we got, despite it being at the 5th floor, was a bit noisy: sound isolation from the window is not great. But overall a very pleasant experience.

The hotel is across from the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda scenic area. This was my first time visiting Xi'an, and after exploring, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda area was my favorite. It's really pleasant to walk around in both the evening and the morning. Plus, it's right next to Datang Everbright City and Joy City, making it convenient for evening activities. It's only a few kilometers to the city wall and city center. Eating options directly in the scenic area might not be ideal, but if you walk about 1-2 kilometers to areas like Cuihua Road, you'll find much better choices. The apartment I booked was on the 5th floor, and nearby buildings aren't very tall. The amenities were quite comprehensive, and the sofa in the family room could even be pulled out into a bed.

It was a really great stay. When i came, the receptions were not able to speak english so we used translator app. The check in process was fast. They even allowed me for early check in, bravo! First time visiting a hotel with no coffee but they have 2 selections of tea in a jar, how cool is that! It has a laundry room. Bed was comfy and the room was alot bigger than i thought. There are many restaurants nearby and convenience stores. When i check out the reception was not able to speak english again but well, only checking out. They also have designated room for luggage storage. Highly recommended!

Opened in 2012, the facilities are a bit old, the bedding is very average, but there are also highlights, smart toilet, smart gauze curtain, strong Chinese style and simple atmosphere. The service is very average, the concierge is also very poor and has no service awareness. There were some problems during the check-in process, but fortunately their manager (forgot to ask the name) solved them in time. They sent welcome fruits and breakfast. Thank you, but the front desk service really needs to be improved.

This is an interesting hotel within the Renmin Square precinct. It is not actually a 'people's square' in the conventional sense but an official precinct of grand sandstone and marble buildings erected in 1957. The buildings are majestic but the interiors are a little dated and tired. Our rooms were well furnished with very comfortable beds, well-functioning heating, air conditioning and bathrooms. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and assisted us with tourist information and transport. Breakfasts were good with a reasonable variety of dishes. Rooms were suitable serviced each day. I liked the quiet atmosphere of this hotel, its landscaped surroundings, and its close proximity to the CBD. It took us 20 minutes to walk to the Bell Tower and 30 minutes to the ancient city wall. Some of the staff spoke fluent English which was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

At Angsana Hotel, the service was truly the highlight and exceptionally good. The pool was decent, and the staff were very attentive and responsible. However, some areas had exposed rocks, which posed a safety hazard; my child unfortunately scraped their ankle on one. The room design was excellent, featuring a large, comfortable bathtub. The only downsides were that some facilities definitely needed maintenance, such as a broken showerhead, and the absence of disposable nail clippers and bathtub liners. The balcony offered no view to speak of. The complimentary carousel ride and VR experience felt quite underwhelming. On a positive note, the self-service drinks at the front desk were delicious, and the snack box received upon check-in was tasty. Overall, I recommend staying one night in Lintong, as it allows you to visit the Terracotta Army at 5 PM, thus avoiding the peak crowds.

The hotel's interior is excellent, with complete and well-maintained facilities. The rooms are practical and show great attention to detail. For example, they feature a scenic balcony with a small table and chairs, and a temporary mini-safe. The surrounding area is also very good; it's a suitable distance from the main road, making it very quiet inside. The hotel's exterior design is both attractive and functional, with lush greenery and clean, tidy internal pathways. The service is attentive and detail-oriented, and the restaurant food is delicious. Overall, it offers great value for money, surpassing some hotels priced over 1200 RMB.

Amenities: Luxury is evident everywhere, not just in the hardware facilities, but also in the highly professional service from everyone. Hygiene: Met expectations. Environment: A hotel located within a scenic area, so the environment gets full marks. Service: After booking, a dedicated butler proactively informed us of important details, inquired about our travel plans, and assisted with ticket booking, transfers, and guidance. They were attentive without being intrusive – highly commendable! The restaurant next to the hotel is also highly recommended. The breakfast provided was of a very high standard, with a rich variety and excellent flavors. Double Huaqing Royal Hot Spring Baoji Pool 1 entry per night: After returning from our outing, the bath had already been prepared for us, which was incredibly thoughtful! 👍 It was a very pleasant stay.

The Willow Hotel is located in the heart of Lintong District, close to several tourist attractions, such as the famous Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Hot Springs. These historical sites are easily accessible by foot or car. The hotel's exterior design is modern and distinctive, while the interior decoration combines traditional and modern elements to create a warm and peaceful atmosphere. The lobby is spacious and bright, with beautiful decorations, making you feel at home as soon as you enter. The room you stayed in was very spacious and furnished in a comfortable and elegant manner. The bed was soft and the sheets were clean, which ensured a good night's sleep. The facilities in the room were complete, including high-speed Wi-Fi and a mini bar, which met all my needs. The hotel staff Kang Zhuo and Huang Dong were very friendly and professional in their service attitude. From the front desk reception to the room attendant Liu Ernv, every employee tried their best to ensure that my stay was as perfect as possible. The hotel's restaurant offers a variety of breakfast options, from traditional Chinese breakfast to Western pastries. The food is fresh and tastes wonderful, providing a vibrant start to my day. The Willow Hotel Lintong is undoubtedly the best choice for my trip. Whether it is a business trip or a leisure trip, this is an ideal place to stay. My first visit to Xi'an was during the Chinese New Year holiday right after the pandemic restrictions were lifted, and I chose the W Hotel back then. Honestly, though, the W's style wasn't quite my favorite at the time. Although I've had many business trips to Xi'an since, mostly in the Gaoxin area, I haven't stayed at the W again until now. This time, however, my business trip coincided with Trip.com's 'One City, One Room' promotion, and I re-booked the W. I found the experience even better than last time; the service attitude and quality were outstanding. The front desk staff, Ella, proactively offered an air purifier, which was a very thoughtful touch. The breakfast truly lives up to its reputation as Trip.com's number one food hotel in Xi'an. I've been recommending the oil-splashed noodles and mini buns from their breakfast to all my friends from out of town. Overall, it's significantly better than the Ritz, which is also on the same list. The PBX staff were also very gentle and efficient, responding promptly. The hotel's location is excellent as well, making travel convenient. I will definitely be back again.

We stayed for two nights, on the 16th and 17th. On the 15th, I received a call from the hotel asking about our room preferences. I requested a room with a good view, non-smoking, and quiet. When we checked in, the staff assigned us room 213. This was the lowest floor I've ever stayed on in a hotel, and it was room number 13! I was surprised that the hotel actually had a room 13! How could an international hotel like this assign room 13 to a foreigner? During afternoon tea that day, besides my husband, myself, and an Asian mother and daughter, all the other guests were foreigners. This made me realize even more why I was so unlucky to get room 13! This hotel has such a unique room number 13, and they treat their own compatriots differently from foreigners! However, the smart toilet in room 13 was broken. It wouldn't automatically lift the lid or flush when you stood in front of it. What was even more unbearable was that as soon as you sat on it, the toilet would make a loud gurgling sound and automatically spray water on your backside. We tried it twice, and it happened both times. Also, the light switch was malfunctioning and didn't work. As a result, our room was changed to room 206. Neither room 13 nor room 06 had a French garden view; you could only see trees outside the window. Room 06 overlooked a concrete platform. I stayed during the off-season, and there were only a handful of guests at both afternoon tea and breakfast. Even during the peak breakfast time at 8 AM, there were only four tables with no more than ten guests. In such an off-season, why couldn't they offer us a higher floor with a better view? The male butler from the hotel called in advance on the 15th to ask about my room preferences; wasn't that just being insincere and fake? The staff's service level was inconsistent. Two female servers at afternoon tea and breakfast simply didn't observe guests' needs. The slim, tall female server in the afternoon tea restaurant had an ice-cold expression and no proactive service awareness. One female server in the breakfast restaurant looked like she hadn't woken up yet, with messy hair, no makeup, and ill-fitting work clothes, completely lacking the demeanor of a star-rated hotel employee. More importantly, this server didn't proactively observe guests' tables. Every time, we had to call her to take away the empty plates. Even more exaggerated, when she took away empty plates, she wouldn't simultaneously take away empty cups, nor would she think to ask. Let's talk about the problems with the breakfast restaurant: First, the flowers on the dining tables were fake! For a 'diamond-level' hotel like this, how can they put fake flowers on the tables? If they want to save costs, there are many ways: place some air plants or soilless succulents, or even small, easy-to-care-for plants. Anything real would be more tasteful than these fake ones. Regardless, a 'diamond-level' hotel should not have fake flowers on its dining tables. This is disrespectful to guests. Second, there was a wide variety of bread, but no chain-type toaster to heat the bread. This is usually a staple at the bread station in five-star hotels. Yet, at this 'super five-star' hotel, you can only eat cold bread for breakfast. Third, the restaurant only provided toothpicks, not dental floss sticks. Nowadays, even very ordinary restaurants offer dental floss sticks. A 'diamond-level' hotel like this should provide guests with dental floss sticks, and ideally, toothpick brushes. Additionally, the steps in the bathrooms of both room 13 and room 06 were damaged. In room 13, the hotel actually used cheap, uneven gray adhesive corner guards, which looked very out of place and clashed with the exquisite French decor. They should have used brass stair nosings! During my two-day stay at the hotel, Ms. Doris Du's kindness, politeness, proactive work attitude, and professional image left a very good impression on me. After we checked in and received our key, she led us to our room. She first gave us a tour of the hotel and introduced its history. On the day we checked out, she happened to be on duty at the front desk. She was the only staff member at the hotel who immediately stood up to greet guests upon seeing them! The only one! This small professional gesture of hers was like the first ray of sunshine in the morning, warming my heart! Recalling my check-in, there was a male and female staff member at the front desk. They did not stand up to greet us when guests checked in. When we received our room cards and got up to leave, they remained seated without moving. This is disrespectful to guests. Staff should stand up to greet guests when they arrive, ask them to sit down, and then sit down themselves to process the check-in. When guests receive their room cards and get up, the staff should also stand up to see them off. Such basic courtesies of polite welcome and farewell were completely lacking! On the day I checked in, I had two items of clothing that needed ironing. The female staff member who was on duty at the front desk that day came to our room to collect them. During the process of opening the door to see her, handing her the clothes, and briefly communicating with her, she maintained an ice-cold demeanor throughout, without a hint of a smile. She was not the only female staff member in this hotel who provided service without a smile. In summary, all these issues, and more, expose the hotel's unprofessional training and inadequate management. Sofitel Legend People's Grand Hotel Xian is not directly affiliated with the Sofitel group; it is part of the People's Grand Building owned by Shaanxi Urban Investment and Operations Group Co., Ltd., and is operated by AccorHotels, a French hotel management group. Therefore, the experience was vastly different from the Sofitel hotels I've stayed at abroad.

Traveling to Xi'an, a friend recommended the W Hotel, but I'm really tired of the 'nightclub vibe.' Influenced by Dr. Shepherd's recommendation, I still chose to stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an. I previously stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Jiuzhaigou, and the experience was undoubtedly breathtaking. This was my first time staying at an urban Ritz-Carlton hotel, and I can say that from the personalized butler service and impeccable hygiene to the hardware and the club lounge, which The Ritz-Carlton is most proud of, it was truly a home-away-from-home experience. The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an, reportedly opened in 2020, so it's been five years, but the hardware shows no signs of aging, indicating the hotel's significant investment in maintenance. The cleanliness is also impeccable, and my favorite remains The Ritz-Carlton's bedding. This time, I booked an Executive King Room, and the hotel upgraded me to an Executive Suite based on availability. The larger and more comfortable space was very satisfying. In particular, the bathroom was very spacious and felt entirely un-cramped. The bathroom fixtures are TOTO, and the toiletries are from Diptyque's Fig collection. The room featured many design elements blended with the city of Xi'an, but what I want to praise most is the elevator lobby design (it makes you want to linger and wait longer). Special praise for the butler service: I've heard many complaints about Marriott's butler service being nominal, but I truly experienced it at The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an. Before check-in, I received a call asking about my preferences. Upon arrival, the butler personally came downstairs to greet me, offered a discount on part of the Mini Bar, and presented a custom Xi'an Terracotta Warrior small lion. After check-in, they also gave me a tour of the hotel's restaurants and wellness facilities, which greatly helped me get a better and more comprehensive understanding of the hotel. I later learned that my butler was an intern, but their professionalism and hospitality could easily rival that of a full-time employee. Regarding the laundry service: Laundry service was included in my package, and the service was truly meticulous and professional. More praise for the Executive Lounge: The Ritz-Carlton's Executive Lounge is a signature feature of the hotel, truly allowing for 'five meals a day.' Starting from afternoon tea, through evening happy hour, and extending to brunch, it's essentially an all-day offering. However, during the off-season, the lounge had fewer people, and while the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, it was very quiet. For a full hotel breakfast experience, I'd still recommend going to the 3rd floor. The two service staff in the lounge were also very attentive, truly delivering service with a smile! The Ritz-Carlton Xi'an's lounge is genuinely enormous, with interconnected floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of Xi'an. If your budget allows, I highly recommend an executive room, as the lounge privileges are simply irresistible. Finally, a sincere thank you to my private butler, Bruce, for providing me with a perfect stay! The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an, deserves a full five-star rating.

Tips for navigating China train stations

China Train Station

Before you arrive

  1. Book your train tickets ahead of time, especially during peak travel seasons.
  2. Verify the train number, departure time, and platform number before you arrive at the station.
  3. Make sure to carry your passport or other valid identification to board the train.

Upon arrival at the station

  1. Before entering the platform area, you need to go through ticket inspection gate. Have your ticket and passport ready.
  2. Be prepared to place your bags through an X-ray scanner and walk through a metal detector for security check.
