China Train Station Layout

China’s train stations are designed to efficiently handle a large number of passengers and provide a wide range of services. Most stations share common layout, including

Station square

The station square is an integral part of China train stations, serving as the first point of contact for passengers arriving at or departing from the station. This square is the main entrance to facilitate smooth transitions between buses, metro, taxis and the train station.

Entrance and security check

The primary entry point for passengers often marked with large signs and located in front of the station. All passengers must pass through security screening, which includes X-ray machines for baggage and metal detectors for personal items.

Waiting and ticketing area

Staffed counters where passengers can buy, change, or refund tickets. Or there are automatic ticket machine for ticket redeeming.

The waiting area includes large seating areas, divided into sections based on ticket class and destination. These areas are equipped with electronic information boards displaying train schedules. For first-class and business-class passengers, VIP lounge offers more premium services.

Platform access

You have to pass the automated or staffed gates by scanning tickets to gain access to the platforms. Then follow the sign to the platform. Platforms are clearly marked with train numbers and destinations to the correct boarding area.

Exit and arrival areas

After disembarking, passengers pass through the gates, often requiring a ticket scan to exit. There are areas where arriving passengers gather, and clear signs to transform to metro, bus, or taxis. It often equipped with information desks, restrooms, and access to other services to help you finish the process.

The hotel is located in the heart of Beijing, near the embassy district, making it convenient for getting around yet surprisingly quiet. Compared to other five-star hotels, Chang Fu Gong offers exceptional value for money. When I booked, I just thought the price was very reasonable for a holiday period, and I was a bit hesitant about the facilities and service. However, my experience after checking in was absolutely amazing. From the doorman to the front desk staff and the lobby manager, every employee consistently maintained a natural and polite smile. It felt genuine and very comfortable. They even offered complimentary snacks during my stay. Despite being in the city center, the hotel has a spacious parking lot, which is very convenient for those driving. The hotel lobby isn't opulent, but it feels incredibly welcoming, perfect for small families. The four elevators operate very efficiently. From the elevators to the guest rooms, the hallway carpets were spotless, which deserves special praise 👍 – it's rare to see an older hotel maintain such cleanliness. Our room wasn't huge, but beyond the standard amenities, several key aspects stood out: the bathroom was very spacious with a comfortable shower, and the toilet was electronically controlled, which is lovely in winter. The room's cabinets had many compartments, perfect for families like ours with lots of small items to organize. In short, the hotel pays great attention to detail. Unfortunately, due to limited time, we couldn't stay longer to experience other hotel services and facilities, including dining. We will definitely choose Chang Fu Gong again when we visit Beijing.

Exceeded my expectations! I'd read some mixed reviews online, but because of its great location, I decided to book this hotel. We opted for a deluxe room with breakfast, and after my actual stay, I just had to share my real experience – it was completely different from what I expected, and absolutely fantastic! The cleanliness was truly impeccable. The room was bright and spotless, and the bedding felt crisp, soft, and comfortable. Even the public areas were meticulously maintained; you could tell the daily cleaning was done with great care. Though, I know everyone has different sensitivities when it comes to cleanliness! The facilities and service were incredibly thoughtful too! During check-in, the front desk lady proactively informed us about breakfast times and location, and even reminded us about the complimentary wellness soup the hotel offers – so warm and considerate! She also gave us a little 'warm reminder' note with all the activities clearly listed, providing plenty of information. Every staff member we encountered throughout our stay was incredibly polite, from the bellboy at the entrance to the front desk and house-keeping staff; their attitudes were all excellent. Once, when I asked about nearby attractions, they patiently explained for quite a while. I never experienced any of the 'indifference' or 'haughtiness' some reviews mentioned; my experience was truly top-notch. Honestly, hotel experiences are always subjective. Depending on the check-in time or the staff you encounter, your feelings might vary. If you've already paid for your stay, you just want peace of mind and comfort! I often see complaints online about people having allergies or demanding refunds, and honestly, I can't relate to that. In summary, all the service staff were polite and highly professional. Based on my experience, this hotel is definitely worth recommending – hope this helps anyone planning a trip!

Stayed at the Legendale Hotel at the end of 2025. The lobby had a strong Christmas atmosphere, and many people came to take photos, making it a bit crowded. There were also many hotel guests. The rooms felt a bit dated but were fully equipped, and the service was warm and attentive. Every time I stay, I enjoy walking in the corridor outside my room; I really like this atrium-style design. Another reason I choose to stay at the Legendale Hotel is its close proximity to Peking Union Medical College Hospital, which is within walking distance, making it very convenient for medical check-ups.

The room attendant cleaned promptly, and there was a dedicated person in the lobby to operate the elevators. The gym and pool staff were friendly and welcoming. The deluxe view room, facing due east and located on floors 25 and above, is part of the executive level, offering panoramic views of the East Third Ring Road. In the mornings, you can gaze at the 'fog city' (referring to Beijing's occasional haze), and at night, admire the iconic illuminated landmarks. The nearby multi-story PwC building, lit 24/7, evoked many similar memories for me. The pool facilities were also excellent – a truly worthwhile experience!

This was my second stay here. The hotel boasts an excellent location in Wangfujing, and I consider it to be one of the best value-for-money options in Beijing. The rooms are spacious, and the service is excellent. You can easily walk to the Forbidden City, the National Museum, and Tiananmen Square. The only downside, which is due to the central heating, is that the room was 26 degrees Celsius – far too hot! I guess that's a characteristic of northern China in winter. It's puzzling why they maintain such a high temperature when just a few degrees lower would save energy and be much more comfortable. The hotel staff did their best, providing a portable air conditioner, ice, and suggesting opening the window, but after all that effort, it made little difference. It's a tough situation for them too.

An old hotel, and I stayed in the old wing. The facilities aren't new, but it definitely has character. The lobby has a warm color scheme, and the public areas are elegantly decorated. The front desk and restaurant staff provide standardized service, and the breakfast selection is comprehensive. The Sanbaole Bakery, with its long history, opens early. There are also Chinese and Western restaurants, as well as a bar.

A truly pleasant surprise and excellent value for money! The service here is exceptional. My family and I stayed for 4 nights straight. **Facilities:** Modern. **Cleanliness:** The cleaning staff are incredibly diligent. They even folded our clothes! My own comb broke during our stay, and the cleaner quietly fixed it for me – that was a lovely surprise. **Environment:** Superb! The subway entrance is just over 100 meters away, and it's within two stops of Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven, making getting around incredibly convenient. There are also plenty of malls and restaurants nearby, so dining is easy. What's more, despite being in such a convenient location, it's surprisingly quiet. The windows must be well soundproofed because you can't hear any traffic noise at night. The view from the window also offers a lovely modern city vibe. **Service:** This is definitely the biggest highlight. The front desk staff are incredibly attentive. For our last night, it was New Year's Eve, and we couldn't book a twin room, so we ended up with a king-sized bed. We were bracing ourselves for the hassle of switching rooms, but the front desk staff quietly paid attention to this detail. When a twin room became available, they called us to ask if we wanted to switch. This kind of extra service, truly thinking from the customer's perspective, deserves huge praise! 👍👍👍

This is an older hotel with many international guests. The location is excellent, especially for seeing Mayday. It's super convenient to take the subway to the Bird's Nest. You could really feel the hotel's dedication to service. The minibar was complimentary, and both breakfast and the Kerry Club lounge were excellent. The Regent Beijing is perfectly located in Wangfujing, close to major attractions like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the National Museum, Temple of Heaven, and Beihai Park, all accessible by foot or shared bike. The Dengshikou subway station is right outside the hotel, making travel by metro incredibly convenient. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. Our high-floor room offered views of the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. Waking up to the sights along the central axis in the morning was incredibly pleasant, and we also enjoyed beautiful sunsets in the evening. The breakfast was also very generous, featuring a variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, including some Beijing local snacks. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Beijing, especially if I'm exploring the central axis area.

Grand Hyatt Beijing, Amy's service was truly exceptional! She called us beforehand to inform us about the weather, which was a thoughtful touch. She also helped with our luggage upon check-in. The room was cozy and comfortable. I made sure to hit the gym, and I was impressed not only by the complete range of equipment but also by the readily available disinfectant – they really prioritize hygiene. My stay at The Peninsula Beijing was made memorable largely thanks to Sylvia at the front desk. From the warm welcome during check-in to her thoughtful recommendations for nearby attractions, she provided attentive, professional and genuinely helpful service that made me feel right at home. However, there was a notable downside with the in-room electronic lighting system. When I tried to turn off the lights at midnight to sleep, the system malfunctioned completely, leaving me with no way to dim or shut off the lights. I had no choice but to sleep with the lights on all night, which severely ruined my sleep quality. I sincerely hope the hotel will take this issue seriously and conduct a full inspection and maintenance of the electronic facilities in all guest rooms to prevent future guests from facing the same inconvenience. Overall, the outstanding service deserves high praise, but the stability of the hardware facilities still needs to be improved.

Review: Stay Home This trip was like an encounter with prehistoric man and a case study of a failed business combined. If you book a standard room, you will be taken away from the five star reception area to another building which has the decor and standards of a thirty year old hotel. Faded carpets, peeling walls, smelly interiors, uncleaned floors and rooms which are impossible to heat. But it was just about liveable, in that it had a bed and hot water. What totally failed to impress were the amenities. We'd come for the children's stuff, the little zoo, water park and others. The price of these are not included in the hotel, and for each experience they charge adults and baby to the tune of 80rmb, meaning you will spend quite a bit to use it all. As soon as I saw the children's rides I became depressed, they were rusting and looked murderous, as if the nuts and bolts would be dislodged and explode fatally in all directions if a kid shook too heavily on the things. To even use anything suggested you'd become unclean as well. Then you attempt to ask staff something but stop when you realise how futile it would be to address someone with one eye in its forehead and the other in its chin, with their peers boasting similarly fascinating facial misalignments. An hour of that and we wanted to leave, including our baby. She would have been much happier at home playing with her toys, or rather just happy at home doing anything than being at the Nirvana resort. Anyway, the swimming pool is not free either, they will charge you 58 a person including child. When I went to ask about a swim, staff were downright stunned I'd walked in to ask such a question, watching as I entered and left with hillbilly intensity and incomprehension. You can see the park had a lot of money invested in it before, way back in the misty past, but I can't see them recouping their losses. The resort is a grab money scheme with separate interests taking care of, or neglecting, what is on offer. I can't see them attracting a moneyed middle class without a total overhaul. On the plus side, my wife and I did have a good laugh about how bad it was and the fact we'd packed for a few days in expectation of a holiday, but found ourselves cancelling after an hour. The reception was helpful with this and refunded our money. The staff are well meaning in a vacuous kind of way, going about their duties as the whole place drops about them, broken lifts, falling plaster, water leaks and all. But to be sincerely positive, the gardens are pleasant along with the lake and ducks.

Yanqing Resort Area Beijing|56.95km from downtown
This hotel is great for a weekend getaway with kids. Juyongguan Great Wall and Shuiguan Great Wall are nearby, with Shuiguan Great Wall being closer and less crowded, though a bit challenging to climb. The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a pleasant environment with individual villas dotted up the hillside. Our room was quite far, so we needed to drive to the lobby and restaurant. The hotel also offers many family-friendly activities. On our second morning, we participated in a valley hike, which was essentially a mountain climb – it requires some stamina. There were also quite a few downsides. Given how spread out the rooms are and how far they are from the lobby, one would expect butler service, but there was none. Moreover, it was very difficult to get through to the front desk from the room phone. For a self-proclaimed 'family-friendly hotel,' there weren't even children's slippers in the room. After finally getting through on the phone, it took an hour for them to be delivered. Why weren't they provided directly at check-in when they saw we had a child? The room itself was fairly large, but the bathroom lacked air conditioning/heating, and the shower was open-concept. This design might be fine in Sanya, but in Yanqing, showering at night was absolutely freezing. There was also water pooling, and when staff came to check, they said it was because the floor drain was too high, and nothing could be done, which was a bit frustrating. We had two meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was good, albeit a bit pricey. We also ate at a farmhouse restaurant down the mountain where the iron pot stewed fish was delicious – I forgot its name, but it had “Tell Old Mo I want to eat fish” written on the wall. Despite the downsides, it's still a good place for a weekend with kids. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a children's splash pool, which were closed due to the cold weather. We'll definitely bring the kids back in the summer.

I brought my kids to let off some steam over the weekend and stayed in a Deluxe King Room. It seems I ran into the Beijing Orthopedic Surgery Medical Conference, so rooms were quite scarce. Service: Check-in procedures seemed a bit complicated, and I waited for about 15-25 minutes on Saturday afternoon at 2 PM. However, guests who booked through Ctrip seemed to check in faster, didn't need to pay a deposit, and got their rooms immediately. With the hotel almost fully booked on a weekend, it seems some high-tier Marriott members tried to battle for an upgrade but weren't successful, which further confirmed the room shortage. I had requested a bed rail in advance, and it was provided right away. Environment: Standard five-star hotel. Hygiene: The room hygiene was good, and swim caps are required for the pool. The only drawback was that the children's club restroom had an odor that spread to the activity area because the door was left open, which is not up to five-star standards. Facilities: Overall good, nothing was broken. However, the TV is an older model and doesn't support screen mirroring.

Having spent considerable time in the vicinity of the International Club, International Building, Japanese Embassy, Associated Press, and Ritan Park, I'm very familiar with this area. The hotel is strategically located just off Chang'an Avenue, at No. 21 Jianguomenwai Avenue, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It's situated in the heart of the CBD, adjacent to Chang'an Avenue and the Embassy District. Jianguomen subway station is a mere 7-minute walk away, and iconic landmarks like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City are just a few blocks from the hotel. It also offers convenient access to vibrant shopping and entertainment hubs such as Guomao, Wangfujing, and Sanlitun. I myself spent nearly a decade working in the International Building. Upon entering the lobby, its high ceilings and grand, pillarless design create a truly magnificent impression. The suites are thoughtfully laid out and exude an elegant, classic charm. A serene garden with a gentle flowing fountain enhances the overall sophisticated ambiance. Despite opening in 1997, the facilities are comprehensive, and the environment, cleanliness, and service all maintain a first-class standard. The standout feature is the unforgettable butler service; the personalized, one-on-one attention makes you feel right at home. The 24-hour comprehensive butler team provides exceptional service, anticipating and fulfilling every guest's need. Our butlers, Jasmine, Parker, Alex, and Bradley, orchestrated a series of unique experiences, including the St. Regis's classic traditional ritual of champagne sabrage. This spectacular event took place in the gallery of the Danielli Italian Restaurant on the hotel's second floor, where guests collectively raised their glasses, savored exquisite champagne, and celebrated. The sabered champagne cork was then presented as a cherished keepsake. Dylan Zhao and Candie (灿灿) went above and beyond, waiting for our return even after we came back late from a football match at Workers' Stadium. As we opened the door, they were already there, ready to welcome us home with comforting warm honey-lemon water and hot peppermint Earl Grey tea, perfectly prepared for optimal flavor. Their handwritten cards were also a thoughtful touch, now treasured keepsakes. They truly made our St. Regis night wonderful, cozy, and unforgettable. While there's so much more I wish to express, my feelings at this moment are truly beyond words, deeply etched in my heart. This unforgettable St. Regis experience will forever be etched in my memory. I look forward to returning on August 25, 2025. My sincerest thanks once again to The St. Regis Hotel for everything.

This was my second stay, and it was just as excellent as the first. Our butler, Tracy Zhang Xi, was incredibly responsive and provided thoughtful service. We initially had a different room than what we booked, but she promptly arranged a satisfactory change for us. She even helped us find an Ethernet cable and an HDMI cable, which was a huge plus. The hot springs at Haiwan Banshan are built into the mountainside, and the beautiful scenery is a definite advantage. There are over 10 different types of pools, each with a great view. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for extreme privacy, luxury, or a dedicated water play area for children. The kids' play area at Haiwan Banshan is quite large. Among 5-star hotels in Beijing with hot springs, only Club Med, Badaling Jinyu, and Xishan Hot Spring Blue Parrot probably offer bigger and more entertaining options. The suite was spacious, and the facilities were undeniably 5-star quality when compared to similar hotels. The only downside was the slightly higher price during holiday periods. The Ethernet port on the desk was fake; to get a wired connection, you had to use the port behind the bedroom TV, which was about 5 meters away. The butler could only find a 2-meter cable, which was a bit inconvenient for guests who need to work during their stay. I didn't get to try the Bian stone sweat steaming at the wellness center as too many people had booked it. The indoor air dome sports field is also very large, offering basketball, badminton, and table tennis, all of which require reservations. There's also a small outdoor ice rink where you can ice skate or play on ice sleds.

As a mother traveling to Beijing with my child, I chose the Park Plaza, which had great reviews. And it definitely didn't disappoint. 1) The location is excellent. It's very close to Subway Line 8 (900 meters) and Line 5 (250 meters). Yet, it's not directly on a main road, so it's very quiet. 2) The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. 3) Most importantly, the service was fantastic; everyone was very welcoming and enthusiastic, especially Feya and Wendy! My child and I were both very happy. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a suite. This meant I could work peacefully in the living room while my child slept in the bedroom at night. 4) The hotel also offers a buffet lunch and dinner for 68.8 RMB per person, and 48.8 RMB for children. This is incredibly good value for money. They have main courses, drinks, fruits, and more… Highly recommended! 5) The only minor drawback was… the hairdryer was an old model, which can take a while if you have thick hair. Other than that, everything was superb, and I would definitely stay here again!

I brought my daughter here for New Year's Eve. First, I spent quite a while searching around Wangfujing and finally found a hotel with a good location, reasonable price, and free parking. We both love serviced apartments because they offer a living room and a simple kitchen. Check-in was a pleasant surprise; the room design was very interesting. It had a living room, a bedroom, a shower, and a large bathtub (though its placement was unique). There were also two bathrooms and a spacious closet. I noticed that the dining options weren't expensive here either, making it truly suitable as an apartment. The bedding was very comfortable, and the duvet thickness matched the room temperature. The large bathrobes were also soft and warm. The staff were exceptionally friendly; they added me on WeChat beforehand to ask if I had any special requests, and both check-in and check-out were very pleasant. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be whether the showerhead could be adjusted to the handheld one after cleaning. I hadn't planned on showering, but when I turned on the water, it came from the overhead showerhead, and my clothes got wet. It was a wonderful New Year's Eve, and I'm grateful for the lovely experience.

Honestly, for this location and price, the value for money is pretty good. They even upgraded my room type when I checked in, which made me really happy 😁. It has everything you need. The only thing I could complain about is that the facilities are a bit old, but it is an older brand after all. The service was also very good. Overall, a positive review.

My last visit here must have been 30 years ago, what a childhood memory! This established five-star hotel has a charm that new hotels just can't replicate. The Christmas atmosphere was incredibly rich! Kella (I hope I spelled that right) contacted me the day before to confirm my check-in details and upgraded my room. The upgraded room type seems to be newly renovated; although it's not huge, it's very new, completely odorless, and extremely clean. The room size isn't large, but the design cleverly uses mirrors to create a visual extension, making the entire space feel very open. The floor was incredibly quiet; no one was shouting or running around in the hallways in the morning or evening, so I slept really well. The included breakfast buffet had a rich variety of options, and the best part is it ran until 11 AM – that's fantastic and so considerate! Kempinski's Black Forest cake is still consistently delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful memory.

Just got back from Beijing, and I can't wait to praise Wang Ran from the hotel's service center – truly excellent, with superb professional skills. Here's what happened: The day before yesterday, it snowed, and I suddenly had the urge to visit the Summer Palace in Beijing to see the snow. I was initially hesitant about going, so I called your hotel to inquire about check-in details. The person who answered was Wang Ran from the service center (I only learned her position and name later when I asked her). Wang Ran's service made me feel incredibly warm. She confidently explained the hotel's room situation and also informed me about Beijing's weather conditions and various transportation options to the Summer Palace. Her help immediately dispelled my hesitation, and I no longer wanted to inquire about any other hotels. Because of her service, I absolutely had to choose Shangri-La Hotel! Wang Ran from the service center had a clear and gentle voice, and her opening remarks were polite and friendly, instantly alleviating the anxiety I felt due to my tight schedule. I had a lot of questions this time, ranging from room upgrade policies, breakfast issues, and wet/dry separation in the bathroom to transportation around the hotel and breakfast times. My questions were numerous and repetitive, but Wang Ran patiently listened without the slightest hint of perfunctory service. Throughout our conversation, she was clear-headed, responded accurately, and even re-confirmed my needs before ending the call to ensure nothing was missed. This kind of proactive, detailed, and enthusiastic service far exceeded my expectations and made me look forward to my upcoming stay. The fact that your hotel can cultivate such professional staff speaks volumes about your profound service philosophy. I'd like to commend Wang Ran once again for her outstanding performance and thank your hotel for the excellent service experience!

Overall, I'm quite satisfied. Although there was a notice in the room about hotel maintenance, it didn't actually cause any inconvenience. There were two things I wasn't too happy about. First, the soundproofing in the room wasn't great. Either that, or the kid next door was just incredibly loud. They were shouting in the afternoon, still shouting when I got back to the hotel after 11 PM, and then started again around 8 AM on Sunday – better than an alarm clock! The other thing was that after finishing my meal in the room in the afternoon, I wanted to call for someone to pick up the trays. The call went to an automated customer service. I explained my request, and the AI said it understood. However, no one came to collect them until I was about to leave around 6 PM. Luckily, a staff member came to do the turndown service and took them away for me.

I stayed at this hotel for three days and wanted to share my brief thoughts. When booking a hotel in Shanghai, I looked at many options and paid close attention to the negative reviews for each, and the Radisson Hotel was no exception. Many of the negative comments mentioned outdated facilities. However, after considering the brand, location, and price, I ultimately chose this hotel, though I was still a bit apprehensive. Upon arrival, I was pleased to find the hotel's location excellent, right at the intersection of Nanjing Road and People's Square, making it convenient to reach various popular attractions. The lobby has a typical luxury hotel style. Every detail in the room also conveyed that, despite its age, the quality is definitely on par with its competitors. The furniture is well-crafted with good materials, and the fixtures and sanitary ware are all from reputable brands. The overall condition is actually better than some newer hotels. Furthermore, the front desk staff upgraded us to a junior suite and provided an extra bed free of charge, adding a special touch to our short vacation.

I come to Shanghai every two or three months, and I always stay here. **Ambiance:** The red maple leaves in the garden have turned, and they're so beautiful. It truly lives up to its reputation as a Japanese-managed hotel; even the environmental details have that special touch. This is why I love this hotel. Plus, the express checkout is super convenient. **Service:** This time, I felt the service quality had declined a bit. I called for things to my room twice and had to wait a long time, then call to follow up. Especially when the room heating wasn't enough, I was freezing while waiting. Later, the housekeeper proactively brought an extra blanket. However, as a loyal guest, I didn't feel a special sense of belonging. **Facilities:** The remote control by the bed is really difficult to use. The settings jump around, and it's hard to tell what you're adjusting. It's usually fine, but in winter, the room temperature just wouldn't go up. It was truly freezing. **Breakfast:** Still delicious.

Stayed for 7 days in the Family room in Dec 2025. Overall it was a comfortable stay although the hard product was old. Room was spacious with one king bed (good for 1 adult and 2 small sized kids) and a single rollaway bed (good for 1 adult). It came with a free mini bar (1 round) and we could get bottled water from housekeeping or from the hotel lobby. There was a stench in the toilet (suspected backflow of air from the sewer) which housekeeping attempted to solve by covering the drains using tissue paper. Hotel location was good, situated along the shopping street and subway. It is also within walking distance from the bund. Hotel service was relatively lacking. No attempt was made to assist me with my 4 big luggage at the lobby during arrival and departure. Would recommend the hotel for less fussy travellers who value convenience over services.

The receptionist was really lovely and helpful and provide all the details in English. Then you will be brought to your room. The room was really lovely. The beds were a bit small for an adult and kids but this is based on foreigners size. The bathroom was not clean properly with stains on the wall, doors and bathtub ( picture attached) but this may be due of the fact that the room was old. There was a mini bar in the room but no price available. The hotel have a heated pool and multiple restaurant on site. The kids love the pool. The hotel is in the middle of all the places that need to be visited. If you go out from the hotel and turn right. You are 10 min walk from Nanjing Road. The Grand Central Hotel Shanghai is located next to Nanjing road so it’s very central. The decoration of the hotel looks a bit outdated which lots of golden colors and palm trees in the lobby. Upon my arrival the concierge staff helped to take out my luggage from the car and as we were walking inside he wanted to store my luggage and telling me that check in was at 2pm. I arrived at 12pm. I told him I will go to the reception first and brought my luggage with me. The receptionist checked my booked and said the room isn’t ready and asked me to wait. As I was very tired I asked how long I need to wait and he said until 2pm. I asked if I could perhaps double check at 1 pm and he said ok. I checked again at 1pm and the room wasn’t ready. Finally I got the room at about 1:40. The room size was good and the maintenance of the room was ok although a bit worn out but the decoration looks very outdated and makes the room look more old. Moreover, they had some old brochures in the room which doesn’t really apply to today’s needs such as an old Shanghai yellow pages catalogue etc. Furthermore, there was two bottles of water in the room with tags and on the tag it was clearly stated that only two bottles of water is provided per day per room and additional water bottles will be charged at 10RMB per bottle. I think this makes the hotel seem stingy, supposedly stating that it’s a five star hotel. Haven’t encountered this at hotels with lower star ratings that I stayed at. Another issue was that the HBO channel on the TV didn’t work and that was the only foreign channel on the tv for movies so perhaps international travelers wouldn’t have much to watch. My stay was so so.. the most positive aspect being the central location.

I saw that The Langham had a good location and high ratings, and remembering my excellent stay at The Langham in Hong Kong last time, I decisively booked here~ The service was truly exceptional. The day before my arrival, they even called to ask about my check-in time and any other requests~ Upon arrival, I discovered it's near Xintiandi, and there's a Harry Winston right downstairs~ The location is just perfect~ The manager, Sicily, added me on WeChat for easy contact~ I didn't expect it to be such a huge help! I encountered a small, unexpected situation and decided to ask her for assistance. Even though she had already gone home for the day, she quickly helped resolve it remotely~ Additionally, I specifically came for a book signing event, and before attending, I learned that phones weren't allowed, only photos. So I asked Sicily if the hotel had a printer~ Later, when I returned to my room, the color-printed photos were perfectly laid out on my table. If it weren't for Sicily, I might have missed this opportunity – it was truly amazing~ This is the first time I've written such a long review because I'm genuinely so happy~

Because I was going to Disneyland for two days over the New Year, after considering various factors, I chose this hot spring hotel that I had been eyeing for a while. Let me start by mentioning the regrettable aspects for us: 1. Since we left early for Disneyland and didn't get back from extreme interactions until after 10 PM, breakfast was already over, so we didn't get to experience it. It would be great if they could extend the service hours or offer light meals. 2. The hot spring can only be experienced once during the stay. Although most people probably wouldn't use it multiple times, deciding how to best utilize that single session can be a bit perplexing. 3. The shuttle bus schedule is very clear, but I ultimately decided not to use it. Mainly because there's only one bus per hour in the afternoon, and during peak evening hours, reservations are required for the limited six seats. It's actually better to take International Resort Line 1, which costs 1 yuan, is only two stops, and has buses every 10 minutes or so. Of course, the good outweighs the bad. Having mentioned the downsides, there were also many things I was satisfied with: 1. Bicester Village is right across the street, offering plenty of shopping and dining options with numerous brands. 2. Each room is a standalone unit with its own access control, ensuring safety and privacy. 3. The rooms have air conditioning and underfloor heating, as well as complimentary beverages and a capsule coffee machine. 4. After adding the butler, any issues were promptly addressed and resolved efficiently. 5. The lobby offers a wide selection of self-service teas, and there's a farewell gift when checking out. 6. Although there are two indoor hot spring pools with original Taicang water and two outdoor pools with specially filtered soft water (with some occasional sales pitches), overall it's comfortable and not crowded. You can also enjoy a complimentary first milk or beverage with your wristband. The bath and skincare products are Moroccanoil, Half Acre Field, Gatsby, and Dyson hairdryers. Overall, the value for money is quite good. I would definitely consider coming back here next time to make up for the services I missed out on.

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

I rarely write hotel reviews but this one is a true hidden gem! My partner and I stayed for one night and we used this guesthouse as our little getaway from the busy center of Shanghai. It’s perfect for a romantic and cosy staycation, very quiet and private! The water in the private hot spring, surprisingly, comes from a real underground spring so it’s quite hot. Because it’s summer, we had to wait for it to cool down a little bit but it was perfect later on, especially during the night, we stayed in there past midnight and it was amazing. The staff was also really nice to us, with nice service! Overall, we were really amazed of the quality of this experience for this price, one of the best we have tried! ☺️

My go-to hotel for business trips in Shanghai! Citadines definitely deserves a five-star review ✨ The rooms are spacious and bright, and the hygiene is top-notch, making for a comfortable and peaceful stay. Right outside is the 71 bus, which goes straight to the Bund – super convenient and saves a lot of hassle commuting. True to its name, this hotel boasts a rich history. My stay was an incredibly worthwhile experience from every perspective. The booking process was a breeze, with Trip.com providing its usual convenient, fast, and supportive deals. The hotel service was excellent. I arrived before 8 AM due to an early flight to Shanghai, even though check-in isn't until 3 PM. The front desk patiently helped arrange a room for me to check in as early as possible. What’s more, they thoughtfully escorted us to the hotel's spa to change and freshen up. At 10 AM, there was even a detailed historical and cultural tour of the hotel, which was very insightful and historically significant, reflecting our nation's development from weakness to strength. The surrounding transportation is convenient, with easy access to the subway and taxis. Located right by Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the Bund, there are countless beautiful sights to behold. The service attitude was consistently great, making one feel very welcome, especially during this deep winter season. The interior decor and furnishings are a bit traditional, which is understandable given how quickly times change. Overall, it's still worth it, and I highly recommend everyone to experience it.

Just a few quick points: Firstly, the hotel's location is truly excellent, right on the Bund, directly facing the Oriental Pearl Tower. The views are superb! Secondly, before check-in, a hotel staff member, Ms. Anna, contacted us by phone. She patiently discussed our preferred room type, making the entire check-in process smooth, quick, and satisfactory. We ended up being upgraded to a Bund and Pearl Tower dual-view room, directly facing the Bund and with a side view of the Pearl Tower – visually stunning! However, unfortunately, foggy weather spoiled such a beautiful view! (A tip: If the weather is this bad, there's really no need to pay extra for an upgraded room like this; you can get better photos simply by going to the Bund itself.) Thirdly, during the upgrade, the front desk informed us that breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner were included, and we just needed to provide our room number to enter. However, there was no need to provide it; we could just walk straight in. This was strange 🤔. Does every room booking include these? Because from start to finish, we never had to give our room number to enter! Fourthly, regarding the hardware, it's well-maintained, and the environment is very clean and comfortable, but it is old. Fifthly, for the software, the white room curtains completely reflected in the floor-to-ceiling windows, affecting photo quality. Sixthly, the bathroom: no shower cap, no amenity kit, no disposable toilet seat covers, and there was a bathtub but no bathtub liner 😣😩! Finally, the air conditioning – surprisingly, there was no cool air mode, only fan-only. The air circulation in the hotel room was really poor; I hope this can be improved! Overall, the value for money was quite good, and the restaurant food was delicious! Lastly, a big thank you to the thoughtful and lovely Ms. Anna, who even gave us a little bear 😊.

Short walk of maybe 8 minutes to the Dapuqiao (Line 9) station inside the Sun Moon shopping centre with lots of eateries. Very near to Tianzifang which is 15 minutes walk. The hotel lobby is on the 101st floor, and the rooms are below it. You can't go directly to your room from the 1st floor; you need to change elevators on the 101st floor. The ground floor has a great design, and the lobby offers complimentary drinks, snacks, and a lounge area. The location is excellent, very close to the TV Tower and directly connected to a shopping mall, which is super convenient. The room was spotless, well-stocked with amenities, thoughtfully laid out, and the facilities were in good condition. The staff were all very friendly and responsive; a phone call usually got things resolved within five minutes, unlike some hotels where you wait half an hour with no one showing up. Breakfast is semi-buffet style, with a good variety and quality of food. The downside is that there's another glass wall outside the room's window, and the glass is tinted, so the view isn't as clear as it could be. Also, whether you can see outside or how far depends entirely on the weather and luck.

The hotel service is general thoughtful. We asked for medicated oil as my mum was not feeling well, but there wasn't one available. Instead of just saying no, the customer service offered to send us oil essence that would help to improve headaches and stress. And this really helped my mum to feel and sleep better. F&B service staff at Elements and Chinese restaurant were attentive and competent. Generally, we did enjoy our stay in this hotel. Pillows are comfortable and housekeeping always did a thorough job everyday. Views from our rooms are nice and we could see the light up at 6pm everyday. Check-in service could be improved. We had never been kept waiting to check-in before as every hotel we went to made sure the guests don't wait for too long. After waiting in the line for 30mins, I observed that the front desk needs to input alot of information for each guest. Maybe more efficient system and better process flow would help the staff and have less customers complaining. Everyone around was were dismayed by the waiting time. Note that whenever travellers arrive to check in, most are tired and burdened with baggage and want to settle down as soon as possible. Last thing we want is to queue for a long time to check in. Having mentioned that, I would like to give credit to the front desk staff. Despite the pressure from the sounds of grumpy guests waiting in the line, they still handled each guest professionally and attending to all the enquiries patiently. This is not easy. Also, your porter service could be improved also. There are more people standing at the concierge counter indoors, and usually only 1 outside. Which is something I don't understand. During our 4-day stay here, no one helped us at all. Even when we checked out, it was our driver who helped us with our bags. The bell boy chose to help another car who was checking in. Usually we tip bell boy but we had no chance to tip at all here. The corridor to the rooms are mostly carpeted so it is really difficult to drag our luggage. The lifts are spread out along two long rows and I have seen a lady dragging her luggage from one lift to the next lift, and then to the next one cursing because she could not reach each lift in time before the door closed. We felt tired too through our stay here, turning 360 degrees to look out for lift doors opening. We do recommend the hotel for a guaranteed comfortable stay here as it is near to many major shopping malls and attractions and restaurants.

This is our re-visit of the hotel. I don’t know why, but it just felt homey instantly (usually it will take me a night to get used to the room), it’s just comfortable with peaceful ambiance and soft lighting. The breakfast was amazing and it really helped to start our day in a pleasant way! We also had a pleasant interaction with the room-service robot who delivered bottle water to our room twice 😄 You just had to try it!!! too bad I couldn’t hug the robot 😄 I also like the Hotel’s good and combined use of technology and human service. I called from the room to ask for bottle water, and it was answered by a lady who said they will send a Robot to deliver. (In another hotel, I also made a call from the room with a small request, but it was an auto answer where you had to talk to a machine and dial the numbers when prompted, which often ended in frustration). Other than that, just one suggestion, I thought the quality of the toiletries and slippers provided could be better compared to the peer hotels, yea, especially for the slippers, they felt too synthetic compared to the slippers from the other two hotels I stayed at during this travel. Overall, great stay, pleasant experience and will revisit!

Every time I come to Guangzhou, I always stay at the Jianguo Hotel. Booking a room is easy, and the service is excellent. The housekeeping staff always greets guests, which is a nice touch. The rooms are a bit old, but the facilities inside are practical. My top three favorite things about the Jianguo Hotel are: first, the breakfast is delicious; second, the room gets completely dark after turning off the lights, unlike some hotels where LED strips or power buttons stay lit and disturb your sleep; and third, the bed is big enough for me to roll around freely and sleep very comfortably!

Trip.com's free room upgrade was great; we went straight from the most basic room type to the executive floor. However, the window faced another building directly, so the view was a bit questionable. **Facilities:** The hotel has been open for a long time, so it's understandable that the decor is old, which I had anticipated. But some design flaws are hard to comprehend. The toilet and shower share one door? This bathroom definitely can't accommodate more than two people. There's no place to put your phone in the toilet stall, and the bed was too soft, leaving me with body aches after sleeping. **Service:** After the room was cleaned on the second day, new bathrobes weren't provided. **Location:** It's very close to Linhexi subway station. I chose this hotel because I needed to take the APM line with my child, so its biggest advantage is the location.

A Luxurious Retreat with Standout Amenities My stay at the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich was excellent. The hotel truly excels in two key areas: first-class amenities and exceptional service. The pool and spa area is a genuine oasis—beautifully designed and perfectly equipped for relaxation. Equally impressive was the staff, who were consistently helpful, professional, and attentive throughout my visit. For complete transparency, my experience had two minor drawbacks. My room, while comfortable and well-appointed, showed slight signs of wear and would benefit from some maintenance updates. My room was a luxurious suite with private bath tub (around hkd 3000 for two nights including breakfast). Hardware is definitely exceptional. However when it comes to service it is below standard: 1) front desk - service was poor without any greetings such as bell boy. Front desk officers were unhappy without any eye contact when they talk to you. No hospitality at all; 2) breakfast - the quality both food and service were not up to a 4 or 5 star service. Table was not clean, staffs were almost unfriendly, except one female manager and one staff, all staffs were rushing their task and unwelcoming. I believe the hotel management need to motivate their staff ,otherwise, people won’t come again. 3) Amnenties - room is a luxurious suite with private bath tub, massage chair, kitchen , dining table and queen bed. The tub was not very clean, with water splitting . Such a waste as their service was not meeting the standard of what it is expected to be a 5- star resort. (The environment, garden were nicely decorated indeed) The Hot Spring pool is well known but I have’s try so cannot comment. I won’t come to this resort again, if the service of the hotel haven’t improved. And I won’t recommend travelers with kids who is looking for a family friendly and good service resort. P.S.: Parking spaces were spacious and free

River view rooms are only available with king beds; there are no twin-bed options for river views. Twin rooms, unfortunately, only offer views of the village rooftops. The surroundings were decent, and the water quality seemed clean enough. The kids had a great time. However, room cleanliness was only average. The small rug was visibly grubby; I didn't dare let my child walk on it barefoot. The bath towels were very old and even had holes. While they appeared clean, the holes clearly indicated they'd been in use for a very long time.

Chose this hotel because of location. Easily accessible to Dafo Temple and Beijing Lu. The hotel is tucked in a small lane and there’s only 1 elevator up to the 6th floor where the lobby is. We love the lobby area. We spent every night with our friends to gather. The staff, 李煜勤 and 江丽晴, were always smiling and helpful. Our room was big and spacious. My only feedback is the Housekeeping need to be improved. Every day it looked like they rushed cleaning the room.

My stay at Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou was truly memorable, even though it was just for one night. What stood out most was how attentive and thoughtful the team was. Before arrival, I mentioned that I hoped for a Canton Tower view, fully understanding that the room category did not guarantee it. To my surprise, they genuinely listened and managed to arrange a room with that view for us, which already set the tone for the stay. I also noted that we were celebrating our anniversary, and despite the short stay, the hotel went the extra mile with lovely in-room decorations, along with complimentary red wine and chocolates. These small but meaningful touches made the celebration feel very special. From the moment we stepped out of the car, the welcome was warm and sincere, and that level of hospitality was consistent throughout our stay. The staff were responsive, caring, and clearly attentive to guest needs. Overall, the level of service here is truly top-notch. This is hospitality done right, and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional stay in Guangzhou.

We drove from Beijing to Hainan and stayed at the W Hotel Xi'an when passing through. Our mood went through a rollercoaster of emotions. Upon check-in, the hotel's 'nightclub' vibe immediately dampened our spirits. However, once we entered our room, the expansive lake view and excellent scenery instantly lifted our mood. All in all, it left a deep impression. Coincidentally, I got a spot in the Guangzhou Marathon, and with so many good hotels in Guangzhou, I specifically booked the W Hotel Guangzhou to check it out. And it certainly didn't disappoint! First, the location is excellent, close to cultural landmarks like the Guangdong Provincial Museum, Guangzhou Library, and Huacheng Square. It's also quite close to both the start/finish line and the bib collection point for the marathon. Secondly, the hotel's design is full of futuristic technology and visual impact. Of course, the lobby still has that 'nightclub' atmosphere, with lighting, music, and decor creating a vibrant, youthful ambiance. The rooms are equipped with modern facilities, and the bedding is luxurious. Furthermore, the dining was also exceptional. We had the buffet dinner on the night we checked in, and the variety was extensive, and the quality was superb. Finally, the service was impeccable. Clinton at the front desk had a smiling demeanor, was highly efficient, and made the check-in process quick. He also helped us with a room upgrade, packed breakfast for us to take to the marathon, and even extended our check-out time because we were late returning from the race. He was truly a thoughtful and heartwarming staff member. In summary, this stay was perfect, leaving us with a unique and unforgettable experience. We will definitely stay again. Let's start with some general comments before getting to the strong complaints. The room decor felt quite dated, probably because it's been nearly twenty years since the last renovation. The vanity chair was tilted to a point where I didn't dare sit on it, and the carpet, though fixed, felt lumpy and uneven even with shoes on. However, the hygiene was good, mineral water refills were generous, and it was generally quiet. On the other hand, the Executive Lounge was very disappointing. I went at 2 PM for snacks, and while I can't say there were *no* snacks, there were indeed only two broken prawn crackers. Both breakfast and dinner had limited variety and were quite bland. The funniest part was that I purchased a pre-sale package on Trip.com that included afternoon tea at Prego. According to the instructions, I called a day in advance to book and was told no reservation was needed, just provide the room number. I suspected the person on the phone might have confused my afternoon tea with the Executive Lounge's自带 snacks, so I specifically re-confirmed with the hotel's online customer service on Trip.com. The next day, upon arrival, I was initially directed to the Beer Bar. After I showed my booking information to the restaurant staff, they then took me to Prego. However, no one at the restaurant had been informed about my afternoon tea. They repeatedly confirmed my situation, contacted the front desk internally, and even asked me to call the reservation line right there to confirm. The confirmation came back that only the Executive Lounge was available. I almost laughed out of frustration. To their credit, the restaurant staff were very polite and promptly went to the kitchen to prepare some new tea items, but the internal organization, checking, and handover processes were clearly unprofessional. But it didn't end there. After sorting out the first day's afternoon tea, I specifically emphasized that they should remember to prepare the second day's afternoon tea and deliver it directly to my room. The next day, I returned to find nothing in my room. I went to the third floor to inquire, only to find out that a male staff member had, in his wisdom, tried to substitute it with Executive Lounge access for more guests or red wine. I was utterly baffled. Of course, I had booked the Executive Lounge for the correct number of people when I made the reservation. I stressed it repeatedly the day before, and *this* is how you flexibly adapted, right? He even tried to explain that the reason it wasn't prepared the day before was because Trip.com had listed the wrong product, and it wasn't their fault. Haha, your internal mistakes are irrelevant to me, and even if that were true for the first day, why were you still messing around on the second day? Hungry, I returned to the hotel with no snacks to eat and had to forage in the Executive Lounge. Halfway through my meal, this guy came back and offered us drinks as compensation. We asked for two hot chocolates. A little while later, the same guy brought over the honest-looking restaurant staff member and asked if chocolate syrup mixed with milk would be acceptable. I looked at it and realized it was the same bottle they put out for spreading on bread during breakfast. Seriously...

This stay truly exceeded my expectations and can best be described as a genuine “home away from home.” It is rare to find a hotel that performs so well across comfort, service, location, and thoughtful details, and this experience left a very lasting impression. First of all, the room itself was exceptionally comfortable. From the moment I walked in, everything—from the bedding and lighting to the layout and overall ambience—made it easy to relax. The room was clearly very well maintained, with no signs of wear or aging. The décor felt modern yet warm, and the attention to upkeep was evident in every detail, from the furniture to the bathroom facilities. Returning to the room each day felt comforting and familiar, which is something not every hotel can achieve. At check-in, there was a short wait for the room due to availability, but the experience was handled extremely well. A Guest Relation Specialist proactively approached me, kindly checked in on my situation, and thoughtfully added me on WeChat so that assistance would always be easily accessible. From that point onward, communication became seamless. Whether I had questions, requests, or needed help at any time during my stay, support was always just a message away, with quick and attentive responses that made me feel truly cared for. I would especially like to thank Loyalty Manager Mr. Cao for arranging a room upgrade. The upgraded room offered more space and a better overall experience, which elevated my stay significantly. This gesture made me feel genuinely valued as a returning guest, rather than just another reservation. Although there was construction nearby during my stay, the hotel’s sound insulation was excellent. Noise never became an issue, and my rest was completely undisturbed. Both nights were quiet and restful, and I slept extremely well—something I truly appreciated. In the afternoon, the Guest Relations team kindly assisted in arranging the JW Christmas–themed afternoon tea. The presentation, quality, and festive atmosphere were outstanding. It was clear that great care had gone into the experience, and it added a wonderful sense of occasion to my stay. This was definitely a highlight and deserves high praise. The hotel’s location is another major advantage. Traveling to the airport in the morning was incredibly convenient, saving both time and stress. At the same time, the hotel is not far from Xiangmi Lake Park, making it equally suitable for leisure walks and relaxation. Whether for business or leisure, the location truly feels ideal. In the evening, based on a recommendation from the Guest Relations team, I visited the bar on the fourth floor—and I’m very glad I did. The atmosphere was beautiful, especially under the moonlight, creating a calm and romantic setting that made the night feel special. I highly recommend the Moscow Mule there—it was perfectly balanced, refreshing, and honestly one of the best I’ve had. Another thoughtful touch was the arrangement of a late check-out by the Guest Relations team. This allowed me to rest a bit longer and enjoy the morning without feeling rushed, which made a big difference before departure. Breakfast was also very impressive. The selection was extensive and well organized. Even though the restaurant was busy, everything ran smoothly and efficiently, with clear flow and attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. In addition, food deliveries were conveniently handled by service robots, which was both efficient and fun, adding a modern and thoughtful touch to the stay. Overall, this hotel excels not only in facilities, but also in service quality and attention to detail. From check-in to check-out, every interaction reflected professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality. Whether for business travel or a relaxing getaway, this is a hotel I would confidently recommend. It is absolutely a place I look forward to returning to in the future.

The Four Seasons Shenzhen is truly one of the best hotels in the city. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff. Rachel, who assisted us during check-in, was exceptionally kind and helpful. Upon learning that we were in Shenzhen to celebrate our anniversary, she kindly upgraded our room and arranged a beautiful surprise with rose decorations and a cake. Thank you to the Four Seasons team for making our anniversary so special and memorable. The hotel is conveniently located near subway stations and Coco Park, making it very easy to get around. We initially planned to stay for three nights, but due to the hotel’s excellent location, comfort, and outstanding service, we decided to extend our stay by an additional two nights. The Four Seasons is now our top choice in Shenzhen, and we will definitely stay here again on our next visit. The only disappointment during our stay was the limited minibar selection, and the fact that soft drinks were charged. This did not quite meet our expectations for a five-star hotel.

My family and I, with our 2-year-old, extended our stay by an extra day because we had such a great experience. The hotel's surroundings offer convenient and quick access to dining, shopping, and children's play facilities. The room was very clean, all the toiletries were from MUJI, and they even provided MUJI snacks and drinks. Anything else we needed, we could easily buy directly from the MUJI store and restaurant on the first floor.

The Shenzhen Sunshine Hotel, located in the heart of Luohu and directly connected to the subway station, offers effortless convenience for getting around. Just a short stroll away, you'll find popular shopping districts like MixC and King Glory Plaza, boasting an abundance of shopping and dining options that truly capture the vibrant local atmosphere. The hotel building itself is an iconic landmark in Luohu, exuding a stately presence. At night, it comes alive with lights, and the traditional lanterns at the entrance are particularly striking. The lobby has a wonderfully balanced ambiance – neither overly opulent nor stark and cold, with a design that feels genuinely welcoming. The front desk staff were efficient and meticulous, handling check-in with gentle smiles and promptness. The key card access for elevators added an extra layer of security, which was reassuring. My room experience this stay was particularly commendable. As I was traveling with an elderly person, I spoke with the lobby manager who swiftly arranged an upgrade to a Deluxe room. The upgraded space was spacious and serene. The bedding deserves special mention – the mattress provided excellent support, and the duvet was soft and cozy, ensuring a night of restful sleep from which I woke up feeling completely refreshed. The bathroom had a well-designed wet/dry separation, and hot water was instant. The subtle, pleasant scent of the shower gel was also a nice touch. Attention to detail was evident throughout: a capsule coffee machine and ample charging ports were thoughtfully provided. The service was both meticulous and natural. Beyond helping with the room arrangement, the lobby manager thoughtfully prepared customized hotel souvenirs and a turndown drink, which was a very warm gesture. Although the hotel has history, it's impeccably maintained, exuding a classic charm without feeling dated. Among hotels of similar caliber in Shenzhen, its value for money stands out considerably. It's perfectly suited for both business and leisure travelers. Overall, this stay was nearly perfect. If I were to mention any difference, it would be that the surrounding neighborhood isn't as trendy as Nanshan, but then again, Luohu's unique urban charm and authentic local vibe are a delightful experience in themselves.

To be honest, the service was truly excellent and felt genuine. From helping with luggage at the entrance to checking in on our experience after settling in, everything was spot on. We were staying for three nights, and the first room we got had two single beds pushed together. Even though the mattress was one piece, it sagged in the middle. So, they quickly prepared a panoramic suite for us. They didn't even discuss whether we'd switch out of the suite the next day, which I found really refreshing and not at all stingy on the hotel's part. However, the East Building gets incredibly crowded, and the elevators feel like they're in a residential building, constantly stopping and packed with people. I understand, but it wasn't my favorite. Another point is that the pool is outsourced, which I don't think a major hotel should do. In Shanghai, I haven't seen any hotel costing 1000/night that outsources its pool. I believe they should control the number of people allowed in. Overall, the service is truly impeccable. Oh, and the breakfast is great value for money; the omelette is fantastic, and the soft egg pancakes are also really good.

It's just a 5-minute walk to and from the terminal, making it incredibly convenient for travelers catching flights. It's often called ”the best choice for early boarding.” * **Attentive Service**: One guest, staying for the first time, mentioned being pleasantly surprised with a complimentary astronaut doll from the staff. Our last stop was the St. Regis, the tallest hotel in the world, and also the tallest in Shenzhen. Facing Hong Kong, it gave off a nostalgic vibe. The toilet wasn't electric, but an old-fashioned one that felt cold when you sat on it, and the hairdryer was also an old model. The room lighting was a nightmare to control 😤. However, for TV *******, you could even binge-watch in the bathroom! It's a shame that the 100th floor is now exclusively for Super Marriott VIPs (I guess I'll have to earn millions before I'm eligible 😅). Just looking at photos of the top floor's architectural beauty makes me regret why I booked three nights here. I really miss the previous two hotels (where I only stayed two nights). Thankfully, the floor-to-ceiling window offered beautiful day and night views. I called for the robot to deliver water, and it was so cute and polite! It could even control the elevator. We kept pressing the close button, thinking the old elevator was broken, but it turned out the robot needed to come in and remotely control the elevator to enter and select its floor. I guess I'm behind the times 😅. The hotel was packed with guests, pretty much at full capacity, as it's in the city center. KKMALL is right downstairs, so they only provided milk, tea, coffee, and water, with welcome fruit on the first day. For our last stop, of course, we had to check out the hotel's restaurants. We had a light meal at the cafe. Although it was expensive, we could enjoy both sunrise and sunset views, along with the intricate architectural aesthetics. We also tried the Italian restaurant on the 99th floor. The set meal was quite generous, so much so that we needed a night walk to help digest it. For our last night, we opted for the buffet dinner. The oysters were huge, both cooked and raw, and there was also hotpot. It was my first time cooking my own lobster and large crab claws, and also my first time trying caviar yogurt – absolutely delicious! The creamy, non-alcoholic cocktail was also fantastic. Guangzhou's expensive hotels just don't have this level of quality. Highly recommend! 👍

Hotel is nicely located near Huiminjie @ Muslim Quater. Everything about the stay was pleasant except for the wifi. The connection was extremely slow. I needed to get some work done, and in the end my hotspot worked much better. Another issue was the centralised aircon system. During winter, it kept blowing warm air and the room felt quite suffocating. When I asked for help, the reception staff simply advised me to switch it off. Even with the aircon turned off, the room still felt stuffy. For those arriving by Didi, use the hotel’s main address from drop-off. If you use the “allocated” address shown in the app, the driver may drop you far from the actual hotel entrance and you’ll have to navigate the rest on your own. This is an excellent hotel. The location is good, but since the city is large, you still need to travel by taxi. The main attractions in the city are close to the hotel. We booked a standard room, but received an upgraded option – a two-room suite on the 5th floor, which was a pleasant surprise. The room was very clean and well-equipped. The room had a comfortable bed and high-quality bedding. A major drawback was the terrible view from the window. The view was of a dilapidated inner courtyard and a neighboring building, so it was impossible to open the curtains. The service was excellent. Despite the staff having some difficulties with English, it didn't hinder communication. Stepping into the Xi'an Huaqing Yutang Hotel felt like being instantly transported back to the glorious Tang Dynasty. The hotel is built into the hillside, seamlessly blending with the Huaqing Palace ruins. Its black bricks, grey tiles, and upturned eaves everywhere exude a rich Tang-dynasty charm. Upon check-in, staff dressed in traditional Tang attire offered warm welcoming tea, and their meticulous service made us feel truly valued. The guest rooms perfectly combine Tang culture with modern comfort. The antique-style furniture is elegant and exquisite, and the bedding is soft and skin-friendly. The most delightful surprise, however, was the private natural hot spring bath right in the room. Sourced from the ancient springs at the foot of Mount Li, the water is smooth and rich in various minerals. Enjoying this luxury in a private setting instantly washed away all travel fatigue. At night, gazing at the starry sky from the balcony and listening to the wind in the mountains, it felt as though I could hear echoes of history. The hotel's exclusive 'Jinghong Travel Photography' service was undoubtedly the highlight of this stay. From hair and makeup to clothing, a professional team meticulously created full Tang-style looks for us. The makeup artist's techniques were delicate, and both the hair accessories and makeup aimed to authentically recreate the splendor of the Tang Dynasty. Donning the gorgeous Tang-era Hanfu, we instantly transformed into characters from a painting. Our photographer was not only highly skilled but also deeply knowledgeable about the history and culture of Huaqing Palace. He guided us through pavilions, terraces, and hot spring pools, choosing the best lighting and angles to perfectly blend the beauty of Mount Li with our poses. Whether it was the languid charm of a concubine bathing or the classic elegance of gazing into the distance from a railing, each photo was like a beautiful ancient-style scroll, immortalizing our Tang Dynasty memories. The entire photoshoot was relaxed and enjoyable, and the results far exceeded our expectations. Summary: A dual feast for body, mind, and culture. The Xi'an Huaqing Yutang Hotel is not just a place to stay; it's an immersive cultural experience. It nourishes the body and mind with ancient hot springs, infuses the soul with the splendor of the Tang Dynasty, and then uses the 'Jinghong Travel Photography' to eternally capture these unique memories. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a hot spring lover, or a traveler seeking a unique experience, this is an unmissable and perfect choice for your Xi'an trip. The environment is very good, suitable for weekend healing, very relaxing, and I slept well and relaxed after taking a hot spring bath. The service attitude is good, and the water is drained and heated in a timely manner. There are staff tidying up the flowers and trees outside the hot spring pool, which lacks a sense of security.

Kudos to the front desk clerk, ”Zhou Jing,” for her exceptionally attentive and prompt service. This was our third time visiting the space capsule, and the kids had a blast and never forgot each time. The room was stocked with snacks, fruit, herbal tea, and midnight snacks. They even provided electric shuttles for transportation and even washed their shoes. The room was spacious, and I brought my five children there, and they all had their own fun. The duplex room allowed for easy access upstairs and downstairs, without disturbing the neighbors. There's also a playground within the area, and dining options are also very convenient!

An incredibly satisfying stay! The hotel's design is top-notch, and opening the window to see the Qujiang Pool is just fantastic. The day before check-in, the concierge called to confirm my arrival time. When I arrived at the hotel, a thoughtful staff member was there to help with my luggage. They even upgraded me to a Wonderful King Suite at check-in! Breakfast was incredibly rich and featured local specialties. The gym was massive, seemingly endless, with brand new facilities, all Life Fitness and Technogym equipment. I must mention that the concierge's service was absolutely amazing, considerate to the core, and incredibly responsive. As an ancient capital, Chang'an always welcomes visitors. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Excellent stay and Soluxe hotel. We were upgraded to a suite, that was superb with two rooms and double bathroom. All rooms in the suite were very spacious. People at the front desk were very friendly. One of them spoke english as well. All.in all an excellent stay. Location is walking distance to railway station with plenty of stores and a mall in the neighbourhood

A comfortable older hotel on a human scale with a very pleasant ambience. It is my favourite hotel to stay in Xi'an. Pluses are the excellent breakfast choice, the professionalism of the staff, a refined choice of art on the walls, good beds and a fairly serene atmosphere with a lake with golden carp and buildings covered in ivy. The only real negative I could think of is that its not in the centre of Xi'an or by a major mall but there is a metro station directly outside with fast links to most places you would want to go. Also taxis are easy to get either at the hotel or at the main entrance. Considering the price Xi'an Jianguo is a really excellent choice for all types of travellers.

This Atour hotel turned out to be a great find. In truth it was booked accidentally due to a user error during location selection. It is conveniently located near to the Xi’an South Gate and good access to food. The room was clean with crisp linens and comfortable beds and pillows. Shower and bathroom facilities were great with ample hot water and powerful shower heads. The room was smoke free though we had to swap the first offering because the room had a lingering cigarette smoke smell. Typical for China, a non-smoking room is a just a suggestion to some clientele. There were occasional whiffs of smoke near the elevators. Breakfast had variety of tasty offerings that changed daily. Coffee was good. Tea service could be improved with hotter water the implementation of tea pots with tea strainers. Laundry room was excellent. Lots of space and the staff helps to keep the flow of laundry moving. The dryers are a bit slow. They usually require about 1:45 to completely dry a full load. The general layout of the hotel is quite nice with some modern touches. Couple transportation items to note. Location of hotel may be noisy because of night time entertainment in front of the hotel. The hotel is between subway stops but closer to a bus stop.

This well-established hotel, part of an excellent brand, has been operating for a remarkable eighteen years. The service quality is outstanding across the board, and all facilities are exceptionally well-maintained. It's evident that their management is highly rigorous and effective, which is truly commendable. The hotel boasts an excellent location, with convenient access to shopping and dining. Its comprehensive facilities include an underground parking garage and a swimming pool. Check-in was swift and the service was excellent. We were greeted with complimentary welcome fruit and specialty beverages, and our room was impeccably clean and tidy. The breakfast was delightful, offering a wide variety of options, and the steamed egg custard was beautifully presented. Don't miss the Tianxiang Pavilion Chinese restaurant on the ground floor; it's definitely worth a visit. The ambiance is lovely, and the dishes are truly exquisite – perfect in color, aroma, and taste. Their signature Maoxuewang is especially noteworthy, with its wonderfully spicy, numbing, fresh, and aromatic flavors! In summary, my stay at this hotel far exceeded all expectations. It offers excellent value for money, and the Shangri-La Hotel will undoubtedly be my first choice for any future visits to Xi'an!

The hotel's entrance signage was unclear, and I almost went to the wrong door, as there are three hotels within the same complex. I'm not sure if it was due to a slight delay in check-in, but the front desk upgraded our room, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, the room was pretty well-maintained, though it had a couple of minor flaws: the bathroom door didn't close tightly, and there was a noticeable dent on the floor. The service was enthusiastic, but their efficiency and execution could be improved. The dinner at the Italian restaurant was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the egg white omelet and black sesame paste for breakfast, both of which I haven't seen offered at other hotels. The complimentary fruit in the room wasn't of great quality; the pepino melon, for instance, was unripe. The TWG tea and bottled mountain spring water in the room, however, were fitting for a hotel of this caliber. The hotel also boasts a beautiful garden at the back. My lasting impressions of this hotel are its French romantic architecture and the delightful fragrance of osmanthus flowers.

I really liked the room. Before arriving, I tried to ask the front desk on Trip.com if I could get an upgrade, but they refused. When I got there, I saw that Trip.com still had twin rooms available and asked if I could upgrade, but they told me I'd have to pay the difference to upgrade to a king room, which were all sold out anyway. As the saying goes, 'misfortune may be a blessing in disguise,' and this twin room on the 26th floor, 2612, was a bit tucked away but overall very good. The consistent design and symmetrical beds reflected traditional Chinese aesthetics. Although the sofa area wasn't large, the location was great, and it had a definite wet/dry separation. The next morning, I went for breakfast. The hostess quickly found a seat for me, and plates were cleared promptly during the meal. The service was excellent, though I was too busy to catch her name; she just looked plump and cheerful. Around 11 AM, I went to the swimming pool and met Cheng Xue'er from the gym. She was incredibly polite and courteous, and after my swim, she gave me a bag for my swimsuit. At first, I thought she was an intern, but she's actually a fitness coach – don't be 'charmed' by her beautiful, petite, and cute appearance like I was! Afterward, I had lunch at the Chinese restaurant. I had made a reservation, and they held the table for me. I'd seen reviews on other apps praising their service, and it truly lived up to expectations. From the manager to the front desk and service staff, everyone exuded professionalism. I especially want to thank Ms. Zhang Jing and Mr. Liu Anjun (Jun) for their meticulous and thoughtful service and impeccable etiquette. Thank you for the encounter, and I wish you all the best.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel despite the language barrier. The staffs were friendly and did their best to fulfill my needs. The room was great, though the bathroom was a bit small. The bed and pillows were comfortable. In door swiming pool was huge and great. Free sauna for guests as well. Fitness room was very good and equipped with massage chair for free use. Breakfast was rich but mostly chinese food. They provided free yogurt and cakes in our room almost every day. Very good service.

Arrived late, in the early morning, and only the first floor was available. The service was very good, patiently answering questions and responding to requests. The only drawback was that the facilities were relatively old, and the shower and toilet were old models, but they were very clean and the water was sufficient. Location near to bell tower but need to walk to main road if you take didi, and the reception will not help on this. Clean room but smelly due to humid, cleaner are super helpful but the attitude of these reception (except the young lady in evening shift) are all are “Manxin”, not up to the standard. Overall ok, but you could get better service if you choose other hotels. Also, no gift and room upgrade as shown in reservation, like fake advertising.

The room was great, fully equipped, and especially quiet. It's very close to Xi'an North Railway Station, and they offer a shuttle service, which is perfect for guests catching trains from there. Dining and shopping nearby are very convenient. Plus, it's away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The room service was good, affordable, and the staff had a great attitude. . Man Xin Changanli Hotel Xi'an Bell tower was a gorgeous and modern hotel. The room was beautifully designed in warm colors and there was plenty of seating area--including a cute little tatami sitting area. The windows were floor-to-ceiling, with automatic curtains that move with a slight tug. The staff were very friendly. The view outside the window is an interesting picture of the city wall, but it wasn't very pretty--just the brick wall and little bit of the events on the top. The beds were too firm for me, but I'm used to softer beds. My friend said it was fine for her though. Despite how beautiful the room is, I would not stay there again. The temperature in the room would not go below 29c, even with the air conditioner turned on. When asked if they could come fix the A/C, the staff said this room was more ”natural” and people don't really use it, so there wasn't anything they could do. We had to open the windows to keep cool. Additionally, the air conditioner was so loud that when I first heard it, I thought someone was rolling a cart down the cobblestones outside the hotel window. It was almost as loud as the construction happening directly outside our window. Speaking of the construction, it didn't start until 7 or 8 pm at night and went through until 3-4am. Couldn’t close the window without turning the room into a hotbox, so it was extremely noisy between the sounds of the machinery and the workers shouting over it. I'm a light sleeper, so it was nearly impossible to sleep. Between the heat, the noise from the air conditioner, and the noise from the construction, I got almost no sleep during my three day stay. So it's a lovely hotel, but it's too noisy and uncomfortable.
