The station square is an integral part of China train stations, serving as the first point of contact for passengers arriving at or departing from the station. This square is the main entrance to facilitate smooth transitions between buses, metro, taxis and the train station.

We drove from Shanghai to Beijing, and this hotel is conveniently located right by the Second Ring Road. Compared to many other hotels in this area that charge for parking, the Chang Fu Gong offers free parking when booking through Trip.com, which is fantastic value for money. The Jianguomen subway station is directly opposite the hotel, just a 5-minute walk, making it easy to get anywhere. Across the street are several consulates. Despite the elevated highway nearby, the soundproofing is excellent, so it's not noisy at all. The rooms feature a Washlet (bidet toilet seat) and disposable exfoliating mitts for showering. The hotel staff are incredibly responsive and helpful with any requests. The doormen at the entrance are very observant; they open the car door and help with luggage as soon as a car arrives. Downstairs, there are various dining options like Ziguan Garden, Lawson, and McDonald's, catering to different tastes. Overall, the hotel boasts an excellent location, great value, and superb service. It's a place I would definitely choose again. I'm very grateful to have had such a wonderful hotel experience during my Beijing trip.

This hotel truly lives up to its 'Capital' name! The entrance immediately impresses with its pavilion and intricate architecture, giving off an air of luxury and sophistication right from the moment you step inside. 😄 We even got a free upgrade to a higher floor room. The room was equipped with a high-end air purifier, and from our window, we could see several museums. The bus stop right outside is incredibly convenient. It's just two stops directly to Qianmen Street, three stops to Wangfujing Street, and five direct stops to the Temple of Heaven. Our visit coincided with the hotel's Chinese New Year event, where you could experience six Beijing intangible cultural heritage activities and receive a special New Year gift. It was definitely a worthwhile experience.

The Beijing Legendale Hotel truly is a hidden gem in the city center, boasting a magnificent European palace style! The lobby's high-domed ceilings and gilded decorations create an incredibly grand atmosphere, perfect for photos. Its location is superb, situated on Jinbao Street, close to Wangfujing and Tiananmen Square, making transportation a breeze. The rooms are spacious and elegant, with soft, comfortable bedding. The bathrooms are equipped with L'Occitane products, ensuring quality. The service is professional and attentive; check-in was efficient, and the staff were warm and polite. Breakfast is varied and delicious, offering both Western and Chinese options. Despite being in a bustling area, it's remarkably quiet, with excellent soundproofing, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. The facilities are well-maintained, and every detail exudes luxury. Staying here in Beijing offers both a sense of occasion and exceptional comfort. Highly recommended!

The overall environment is excellent. Manager Ella helped me choose a room with a great view when I checked in. The view of the Second Ring Road is quite good; at night, it's just a sea of red taillights, which really shows how much traffic there is. The room was a bit dry, but that's generally how the weather is in Beijing. Inside the room, everything was great – very clean, and the attention to detail was impressive. The hotel breakfast was also fantastic, with lots of variety and delicious options.

The hotel is located in the CBD, very close to the CCTV Tower. The room offers a city view, which is visible from both the main room and the bathroom – quite nice at night. The room, decorated in a new Chinese style, is a good size at over 40 square meters, though the furniture is a bit dated. When we checked in, my friend had a bit of a disagreement with the front desk staff that wasn't resolved well. While my friend can be a bit short-tempered, the front desk's response lacked professionalism and emotional intelligence, which ultimately led my friend to cancel the reservation in anger and move to the Rosewood next door.

A special thank you to Zhang Jiaxin at the front desk and Deng Shufen, the server, for making us feel so warmly at home, even though we were far from it. Throughout our stay, both were incredibly warm, thoughtful, and attentive. They responded quickly and efficiently to all our requests. I particularly want to thank Deng Shufen, who not only had a kind attitude but also proactively helped us change the bed board and promptly contacted maintenance to fix issues with our door and power outlets. She was truly dedicated and responsible, and her attentiveness was evident in everything she did. I highly recommend this place to anyone who values excellent service quality and pays attention to detail!

We booked a family room and it was incredibly spacious, essentially two standard rooms joined together. Having two bathrooms was a huge convenience; both adults and children could get ready without any hassle. The water heated up quickly and the pressure was consistently strong. The location is perfect for sightseeing – it's super easy to get to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the National Museum. Wangfujing Pedestrian Street is right next door, there's a 7-Eleven across the street, and a Qingfeng Steamed Bun shop. Diagonally opposite is Zigongyuan Roast Duck, which always has a huge line because it's so popular. There are countless things to praise about this place! We stayed for 5 days and were very satisfied. The only minor drawback was the limited TV channels; there were only about 30 local stations available.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! Next door is Menkuang Luzhu, and nearby are Fangzhuan Factory, Ziguangyuan, and Siji Minfu, all very close. It's also near Wangfujing, but most importantly, the subway is right across the street! Who understands the relief of getting off the subway and being right back at the hotel after a long day of walking? It's also super close to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. I forgave some minor issues because of the hotel's incredible location. The room is very small but has everything you need, which is decent.

The easiest way to get to Building 5 from the subway is to take the shortcut through the mall. There are many delicious local eateries nearby. I highly recommend Ya'er Liji for breakfast and hotpot, and Ziguan Garden for Peking duck. I stayed for 6 days straight. While the front desk staff weren't overly enthusiastic, they were always accommodating. The cleaner on Tuesday morning on the seventh floor was the most meticulous, her attention to detail was perfect. However, the cleaner on Friday morning was much less thorough; the towels provided were shedding lint, and the tea bags weren't replenished.

I booked this as a Novotel, but before check-in, I was told it had changed names. This might indicate some issues – perhaps the hotel didn't meet Novotel's standards. The hotel is quite old but well-maintained, with no obvious problems. The outdated design itself isn't a huge deal, but I genuinely can't understand the bathroom door's design – the handle pinches your hand, and the door doesn't close securely. For the price, the location is quite good. Within a few hundred meters' walk, you'll find Dengshikou Subway Station (Line 5) and Jinyukou Station (Line 8). Wangfujing Pedestrian Street is about a 15-minute walk away. I didn't use the hotel's breakfast. There are plenty of breakfast options on the way to Dengshikou Subway Station.

The positives: Location, Location, Location! It is a 10 minute walk away from the forbidden city, and it is close to the temple of heaven. The room service did a nice job as well cleaning the room daily. The negatives: 1- the access to the hotel is through stairs, if you have luggage, you won’t have someone to help you with the bags before you check in. 2- the pictures make seems nicer than it actually is. 3- the lobby is not clean, neither is the floor where we were booked. 4- the rooms too close to each other, the room walls are not well isolated, you will keep hearing noises throughout the night of people walking and speaking loudly beside the rooms. 5- the bathroom has a strong odour coming from it. Not due to room service hygiene though. 6- the toilet seat had wear marks/dark marks on it. 7- pay attention to the fine print while you are booking, despite that all options say double bed, we were asked to pay extra for a queen size bed. Which is fine , however that extra cost puts the hotel rate in the same range of higher tier brand hotels. 8- the room is small, and there are no hangars for the towels.

Five stars, highly recommended! My experience at Holiday Inn Express Beijing Wangjing Huacai was absolutely fantastic. The hotel's location is superb, right next to the subway station, and within an hour's reach of the airport and high-speed rail stations. The surrounding area is bustling with commercial activity, offering numerous malls and restaurants. It’s perfect for exploring Beijing's local vibe and culinary scene after work. Plus, its proximity to my business appointments saved me a lot of time and energy. Stepping into the lobby, I immediately felt a warm welcome. The public areas were clean and tidy, and the newly added lounge sofas looked simple yet stylish. The room was a pleasant surprise. I noticed that the furniture had been recently renovated, and the addition of USB charging ports was a thoughtful touch. The bedding was comfortable, with a mattress that was just right – neither too soft nor too hard – and skin-friendly duvets and pillows. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The bathroom was spotless, and all the toiletries were from premium brands. The hotel's service was truly exceptional. During check-in, the front desk attendant, Ms. Xiao Shi, was efficient and patiently explained the facilities and local attractions. Throughout my stay, every request was met promptly, and the cleaning staff were very meticulous. At check-out, the staff helped with my luggage and bid me a warm farewell, making me feel truly at home. Facilities: All-inclusive, everything you could possibly need. Cleanliness: Great, much better than the CitiGO I stayed at last time in Wuxi. Environment: Located in China Resources City, close to Fenghuanghui and Lilane, and very near to Sanyuanqiao Exit D. Both dining and transportation are extremely convenient. Service: All the staff, from the front desk to the laundry room to the floor service, were excellent 👍 Very enthusiastic, thoughtful, and polite. Highly satisfied. The hotel was full of guests, very lively, and had a festive atmosphere, like Chinese New Year. The heating was very strong, so much so that I had to open the window for ventilation. Beijing has been quite warm recently; it would be good to turn down the central air conditioning's heating a bit, it would save electricity and be more comfortable. The auntie in the laundry room was very responsible, and there was also a tall, fair-skinned girl with long hair at the front desk who was very polite.

Exceptional hospitality and the best stay in Beijing! I stayed at the Kerry Hotel for two nights from January 26th to 28th, 2026, and it was a truly heartwarming experience. From the moment I entered the room, the manager’s welcome message and cookies made me feel genuinely valued. Since I had to check out at 5:00 AM on the 28th, the hotel kindly prepared a breakfast box for us. I was so touched by this thoughtful gesture. I also want to mention the concierge staff—their English was excellent, and they were incredibly helpful not only in calling a taxi but also in explaining how to get back, which made our trip to Sanlitun very enjoyable. 'A special thank you' goes to the doorman on duty(Jan 27th around 5pm) when I returned from Sanlitun. I encountered a sudden internet issue and couldn't use Alipay. I only had a 100 RMB note, but he quickly sensed the situation and exchanged it for smaller bills so I could pay the taxi driver without any conflict. His quick thinking and flexibility saved the day, and I really hope he receives the recognition he deserves. The hotel’s Adventure Zone (kids' club) was also fantastic. The staff members positioned throughout the area kept my 7-year-old son safe, and the facility was clean and not overcrowded. It was definitely a highlight of the trip for him! The location is perfect as well. I could see all the major CBD buildings at a glance, and the view of the CCTV headquarters from my room was breathtaking. I will definitely choose Kerry Hotel again for my next trip to Beijing. It felt like every staff member was doing their absolute best to take care of the guests. Came here to play with ice and snow, but the ice park was closed, but the snow park was. Came here with children and the elderly, and booked a suite and standard room in the VIP building. The VIP building is newly renovated, the environment is very good, the lobby is large and grand, but there are relatively few guests, even on weekends. You have to drive to another building to eat and soak in the hot springs, which is a bit far to walk, and the snow park is closer to the dining place. It is worth praising that the staff of the snow park have a good attitude, a good experience, and everyone is very enthusiastic. It is worth complaining about the toilet in the snow park, which is a simple one, cold and unclean. There is only one, and you have to queue. It would be better if the snow park opened a few cafes with better environment. There is a small beverage shop with a very bad environment, which is very crowded. The elderly were sitting inside waiting for us to play with snow, but later they felt uncomfortable and went back to the hotel room. . . The hotel's location is super convenient, about an hour's drive from the city. The rooms are individual villas, offering a wonderful sense of harmony with nature ✌🏻, providing peace and tranquility for those busy with work. This is a five-star hotel under the international Hyatt chain, and during Chinese New Year, they were very well-staffed. Having spent considerable time in the vicinity of the International Club, International Building, Japanese Embassy, Associated Press, and Ritan Park, I'm very familiar with this area. The hotel is strategically located just off Chang'an Avenue, at No. 21 Jianguomenwai Avenue, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It's situated in the heart of the CBD, adjacent to Chang'an Avenue and the Embassy District. Jianguomen subway station is a mere 7-minute walk away, and iconic landmarks like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City are just a few blocks from the hotel. It also offers convenient access to vibrant shopping and entertainment hubs such as Guomao, Wangfujing, and Sanlitun. I myself spent nearly a decade working in the International Building. Upon entering the lobby, its high ceilings and grand, pillarless design create a truly magnificent impression. The suites are thoughtfully laid out and exude an elegant, classic charm. A serene garden with a gentle flowing fountain enhances the overall sophisticated ambiance. Despite opening in 1997, the facilities are comprehensive, and the environment, cleanliness, and service all maintain a first-class standard. The standout feature is the unforgettable butler service; the personalized, one-on-one attention makes you feel right at home. The 24-hour comprehensive butler team provides exceptional service, anticipating and fulfilling every guest's need. Our butlers, Jasmine, Parker, Alex, and Bradley, orchestrated a series of unique experiences, including the St. Regis's classic traditional ritual of champagne sabrage. This spectacular event took place in the gallery of the Danielli Italian Restaurant on the hotel's second floor, where guests collectively raised their glasses, savored exquisite champagne, and celebrated. The sabered champagne cork was then presented as a cherished keepsake. Dylan Zhao and Candie (灿灿) went above and beyond, waiting for our return even after we came back late from a football match at Workers' Stadium. As we opened the door, they were already there, ready to welcome us home with comforting warm honey-lemon water and hot peppermint Earl Grey tea, perfectly prepared for optimal flavor. Their handwritten cards were also a thoughtful touch, now treasured keepsakes. They truly made our St. Regis night wonderful, cozy, and unforgettable. While there's so much more I wish to express, my feelings at this moment are truly beyond words, deeply etched in my heart. This unforgettable St. Regis experience will forever be etched in my memory. I look forward to returning on August 25, 2025. My sincerest thanks once again to The St. Regis Hotel for everything.

Upon arrival, a doorman helped with our luggage, and luckily, a room was ready, so we were able to check in around 12:30 PM. The room was very comfortable and perfectly suited for two adults and two children. The pool was a huge hit with the kids; we stayed two nights and visited three times. The service at the pool reception was also great; they noticed I was wearing the room's cloth slippers and warned me to be careful not to slip. The only downside occurred during breakfast on the second day. Because my outdoor shoes were a bit uncomfortable, I wore my room slippers into the restaurant (as I had the day before). When I went to get more food, there was a large puddle of water around a corner. The lighting in that spot was a bit dim, making it impossible to see, and I nearly fell. I had to inform the staff about the water before they promptly cleaned it up. I also told a gentleman in a suit, who seemed to be a manager. He only offered to move our table, and there was no subsequent apology. After I sat down, I was still quite shaken. Feeling both startled and disrespected, I decided to go to the front desk and speak with the restaurant manager myself. Although they did take some corrective actions afterwards, such as bringing two teddy bears for our children and some bread from the restaurant, and even called after we checked out to offer a room upgrade for our next stay, I still feel it's important to mention this incident. As it's an IHG hotel, it should be different from a budget hotel. Guests come here for excellent service, but this morning's experience was quite a deviation from what one would expect from a hotel of this caliber.

I've stayed here twice now, and the room's floor-to-ceiling windows provide excellent light, making it very comfortable. The hotel's location is fantastic, with direct access to the China World Mall, and it's home to Nanmen Hotpot and Ma Liu Ji. The basement connects directly to Metro Lines 1 and 10, which is super convenient. Line 1 goes straight to attractions like Tiananmen Square, Wangfujing, and the Military Museum. Beijing traffic can be bad, so having easy subway access is a huge plus. This time, I also noticed a significant improvement in the hotel's service. We're a family of three, and we pushed the two twin beds together to sleep. When the staff cleaned the room, they thoughtfully put a thick bed sheet over them, so the person in the middle didn't feel the uncomfortable gap between the two beds, and we slept really well. Plus, every day they'd provide extra bottles of mineral water and tissues based on our habits, and when I asked for a band-aid, they proactively offered iodine swabs, which was very thoughtful. 👍

Another consistently excellent stay! The design aesthetic perfectly matches our taste, and the service is attentive and comfortable. Celebrating important occasions at Rosewood truly is the right choice. The hotel staff even proactively added us on WeChat to discuss some room setup needs beforehand, asking about our preferences. A special thanks to Lucas and Lynne for their thoughtful and detailed service throughout, making the entire process smooth and pleasant. The Xiang Wei Kitchen on the third floor offers a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, the gym meets daily needs, and the pool is beautiful. The hotel's overall understated yet high-quality feel makes it our top choice for a staycation in the east!

This Chinese New Year, I brought my whole family, including seniors and children. We chose this hotel based on good reviews and the swimming pool. Upon arrival, it was as excellent as ever, and the front desk upgraded our room type. We were a group of seven, and they kindly upgraded our package and provided extra beds. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The executive lounge dining was superb; afternoon tea extended until 7:30 PM, and it was uncrowded with a great ambiance, perfect for a family dinner. The evening pool was absolutely amazing – it felt like being at a Bali resort right here in Beijing! The kids loved it and played for two days straight. I'd definitely recommend it for future visits.

1: The front desk staff who checked me in, wearing teal eyeshadow, kept a straight face and emphasized three times that I needed to keep the executive lounge schedule and adhere to its times. Excuse me, is this my first time visiting an executive lounge? And second, I'm not blind or deaf, so I would have understood after you said it once. Also, please fix your makeup. 2: After being in the room for a while, I noticed a yellow stain on a pillowcase. I called, and the attendant quickly came to replace it. It's no exaggeration to say she replaced the pillowcase in 2 seconds. This was, without a doubt, the best experience of my stay. 3: As part of the executive benefits, I had a late check-out until 4 PM. However, at 2 PM, my card stopped working. My three-year-old and I were stuck in the elevator, unable to go up, and he got scared. It was then that I realized they might have deactivated my card... We had to go back to the front desk on the ground floor to resolve it. All of this is fine, these are minor issues. 4: They charged me 3500 for check-in and took the deposit quickly. But getting the deposit back was a different story. I've stayed at so many five-star platinum and diamond hotels, and I've always received my deposit before even leaving the hotel entrance. This is the first time I've encountered not receiving it after 12 hours. Customer service told me it would be returned via the original payment method within 48 hours... I've truly never heard of a deposit being delayed like this. 5: The shower in the room was very cold, and at night, it was extremely hot, making it hard to sleep. The breakfast was decent but didn't offer much. Please stop serving that 'cheong fun' (rice noodle roll); it's an embarrassment. Anyone who has ever had 'cheong fun' would know what I'm talking about... The executive lounge had almost nothing to eat; it was far too little, not even half of what you'd find at a Ritz. The orange juice was good. There was one young male server in the executive lounge who was absolutely the best; the other female staff were just props. That's all.

🌺 A Warm Winter in Beijing, a Wonderful Start to the Year at the Waldorf 🌺 For our Chinese New Year trip to Beijing, we chose the Waldorf Astoria Wangfujing, and from the moment we stepped into the lobby, a sense of warmth enveloped us. Our dedicated concierge provided impeccable care, from a thoughtful welcome upon arrival to heartfelt recommendations for authentic local cuisine. That meticulous attention to detail made us feel incredibly at home. Any requests for our room were always met with incredibly swift responses, giving us peace of mind. Waldorf's breakfast, as always, is a favorite! Not only did they thoughtfully prepare a special menu for the little one, which really got their appetite going, but the real surprise was the authentic Old Beijing Zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles) – rich, savory sauce and perfectly chewy noodles instantly won over the whole family's taste buds, making it a daily 'must-order' item! Watching the little one happily slurp up the noodles was the warmest scene of our mornings. During our days in Beijing, we were fortunate to have the warmest and sunniest weather, with blue skies and warm sunshine accompanying us as we explored the ancient capital. This wonderful trip to the Waldorf Astoria Beijing kicked off our brand new 2026 with an incredibly beautiful prelude. 🍾 Wishing everyone a prosperous Year of the Horse, happiness, good health, and all the best! 🎊

This hotel is the former residence of one of the Eight Iron-Cap Princes of the Qing Dynasty. While it retains many historical elements, the rooms themselves feature modern decor and bathrooms, which is a nice touch ^_^. The prince's own private garden is absolutely beautiful, and I saw many families holding gatherings there. You can enjoy afternoon tea or even hot pot – it really gives you a sense of pure bliss 💥. For this friends' gathering, we wanted to experience a traditional courtyard hotel. We chose the Waldorf Astoria over the Aman, and it was an excellent experience! The room was very new and spacious, and the courtyard was beautiful. All the staff were incredibly thoughtful. Before check-in, our dedicated butler, Amber, contacted us to ask if we needed any anniversary decorations and about our bedding preferences. We arrived quite early, and our room wasn't ready yet, so they kindly prepared a room for us in the main building to rest. They guided us through the entire process, and the service was incredibly detailed and attentive, giving us a fantastic first impression right from check-in. For breakfast, we opted for room service. The variety was extensive, with American, Continental, Chinese, and even low-fat options. Staff member Will also provided very attentive service. The hotel even offered a complimentary travel photography service. Although it was raining, the photographer (a young man named Yueqian) found great spots, and the photos turned out natural and beautiful. While taking photos in the courtyard, we met another staff member, Judy, who was very enthusiastic. She gave us many tips on photo locations and also told us about fun places to visit in Beijing. If we weren't heading to Universal Studios, we would have loved to stay a few more days. The overall experience was excellent, and I'd love to bring my parents here next time.

For two years in a row, we've chosen to stay at this hotel for Chinese New Year in Shanghai, and it truly lives up to its reputation as an established five-star property. Its location on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is incredibly convenient: the subway station is just a 5-minute walk away. Right across the street is The No.1 Department Store, and next door is the M&M's Flagship Store, offering plenty of shopping and dining options for the whole family. There are also countless authentic Shanghai eateries on nearby Jiujiang Road, Tianjin Road, Fujian Road, and Guangxi Road – so many choices you can't try them all! The hotel staff are warm and polite; the front desk even assigned us a room with a fantastic view, where we could see the 'Shanghai Trio' (Lujiazui skyscrapers), Nanjing Road, and the Huangpu River. Additionally, the cleaning staff are diligent and thorough; our room and bathroom were spotless. Staying at the Xinye Hotel made our Chinese New Year holiday feel extra joyful and comfortable. We'll definitely be back to this hotel on our future trips to Shanghai.

Despite being 20 years old, the hotel is remarkably well-maintained. The rooms, hallways, and lobby all exude a sense of comfort. The rooms are fully equipped with practical amenities, avoiding unnecessary clutter. I visited last November during the autumn holidays. This was my second time staying at an Ascott property in a different city. I've always loved the layout of these hotels, with their separate kitchen and living areas, which is great for families. The location is excellent, right on Huaihai Road, very convenient. It's close to Xintiandi and other attractions. The service was also top-notch, much better than the St. Regis nearby. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time. It's easy to walk to the museum and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street; they're just a short stroll away. However, walking to the Bund and back is a bit far, so a taxi would be needed. There are many great food options on the first basement floor of the mall across the street, all delicious! I highly recommend the tempura place! Additionally, several shopping areas on Ascott's basement level are interconnected, allowing you to walk through to the malls at nearby intersections. The park around the First Congress of the Communist Party of China site is also lovely for a stroll, with many expats dining there and street performers. It's very pleasant in the evenings.

Huge thanks to Moon for arranging our stay this time! After a tiring journey back to Shanghai for the Chinese New Year, we decided to check into a hotel for some relaxation instead of going straight home. Moon called us two days before check-in, and knowing how busy it would be over the New Year, she even helped us pick a restaurant and made a reservation. Our check-in on the day was seamless. When we got to the room, all the baby essentials were already set up, including a bed rail. Seeing that we had a baby with us, she proactively offered us extra bottles of water. For the adults, it was a super comfortable 'staycation' with all our dining needs taken care of in one place. For the baby, the large soaking tub in the room and the hotel's long corridors were more than enough to keep her entertained and burn off some energy.

The location was quite easy to find. It's a short walk from the subway, and you can't miss it (it's also convenient for drivers, with free parking available). My first impression upon seeing the place was great; it has a strong Japanese aesthetic. There are many wind chimes at the entrance, and once inside, you can choose from various kimonos for a photoshoot. I arrived after 3 PM and headed straight to the front desk to check in. I had pre-booked a room online, but once there, they started recommending different room types. I told them I only wanted the basic room, but they still showed me two rooms, forcing me to get in some steps before I could even settle in. Then they said I could get a room upgrade if I left a good review. No thanks, I was perfectly happy with the basic one. After all that back and forth, I finally checked in. The room was comfortable, but one of the sofas was wet. Since I wasn't going to sit on it anyway, I just left it. The robots seemed to still be in their training phase, so if you ordered takeout, you had to go down to the first floor to pick it up yourself, which was still fairly convenient. If you're feeling lazy, you can head straight to the Japanese restaurant on the first floor. As for the hot spring, which I had been looking forward to, the experience was quite good. Having a private bath was wonderfully relaxing and perfect for unwinding. There was a welcome fruit platter and a floating afternoon tea, which made it all very comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast was served from 8 AM to 9:45 AM. Honestly, for a leisure trip, that's a bit early! 😂 But I still woke up to eat. There was a Western option and a Japanese option (I saw it checked on the breakfast voucher, but I didn't notice when I picked it up, and they didn't mention there were two choices beforehand). Besides the set meal, there were also some small items available for self-service. The portions were generous, and I was very full. Around 12 PM, I received a reminder about check-out time. Overall, the experience was quite good. It felt like the occupancy wasn't particularly high towards the end of the Chinese New Year holiday, so the environment was very quiet. While the service experience could have been a bit better, everything else was pretty satisfactory. I would consider staying here again.

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I highly recommend it. First off, I arrived early in the afternoon, and my booked room wasn't ready yet. Secondly, the hotel is very close to the core area of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. You can walk to Shen Dacheng, First Food Store, and many other key shops in just five to ten minutes. Additionally, the hotel offers complimentary executive lounge access (perhaps due to my booking). To catch the Pudong night view before school started, I specifically booked a river view room for one night. To my surprise, early check-in was available. I asked if a room with a Pearl Tower view could be arranged, or at least one with a good view. The front desk wasn't quick to agree, which was a little awkward, but the room they eventually gave me, though not on a high floor, actually had a surprisingly good view, and I was very happy with it. Downstairs, there are popular photo spots, making it very convenient for getting around. The breakfast selection was rich, and the staff were professional. My minor dissatisfactions were: the overhead showerhead had some grime, which I cleaned myself and it came off easily. The bedsheet had a small tear, and the pillows were quite soft; one had lumpy stuffing inside, so I didn't use it. Overall, the room was clean and tidy. Given the hotel has been operating for a long time, these small imperfections are understandable. Overall, the good outweighs the bad. For off-peak travel, if the hotel price isn't inflated, I would highly recommend it for families with children!

Facilities: The bathroom sink wasn't very practical; water splashed everywhere easily. Environment: The breakfast area and lobby bar are shared and quite small. Service: The hotel service was really good. The front desk staff, especially Loretta, were very professional. She deserves a huge commendation – even on her days off, she'd message me to say I could reach out to her anytime if I needed anything. The concierge service was also excellent, promptly anticipating guests' needs, making both check-in and check-out very smooth. Housekeeping was great too; turndown service was always done by the time I returned to my room. Breakfast is a crucial indicator of a hotel's quality, reflecting its attention to detail and standards through its offerings and quality control. After I spoke with the hotel, there was an improvement the next day. The bakery items were truly outstanding; the pastries were perfectly flaky, and both the pancakes and waffles were delicious. The fried dishes also had a great texture.

Arrived early, and since my reserved twin room wasn't ready yet, the front desk upgraded me to a studio apartment, allowing for an immediate check-in. Coincidentally, it was located one floor below my friend's room, which was incredibly convenient for my visit. The room itself was clean and tidy. The all-in-one washer and dryer was very handy, and the shower room was well-designed. Overall, it was a very satisfying short trip. The staff were exceptionally friendly; the cleaning lady always greeted us with a smile and was clearly well-trained. I hosted several friends who came to visit, and they all complimented the room. My only minor complaint is that it's a tad far from the subway station, but it's within walking distance to the Wutong District and the art street district, which I really loved.

Although the check-in process took a bit longer, the service experience after checking in was excellent. For my little one's birthday, we chose the renowned and historic Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations because I'm usually partial to Ritz-Carlton hotels and haven't been particularly impressed with Jinjiang Group hotels in China. However, from the moment I stepped in, the warmth of the staff during check-in immediately made me feel welcome. Every staff member greeted guests with a smile. We toured various areas of the hotel, creating wonderful memories. In the afternoon, while relaxing, a staff member surprised me with a birthday cake. These small details truly showcase the Peace Hotel's service philosophy – I'm very grateful. In the evening, we experienced the Old Shanghai vibe at the jazz bar, where the average age of the musicians was 82. My only minor disappointment was that one of the younger waiters there didn't quite match the high service standards of the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was also quite substantial, and a special shout-out to the young server, Eilo. I eat extremely small portions of everything, and at other hotels, they can't make the tiny omelets I like. He accommodated my picky request, and I'm very thankful to him – he deserves praise. The breakfast lobby manager was consistently attentive, promptly addressing guests' needs. I mentioned that for breakfast, I only wanted a croissant with butter, but the one I received was a bit burnt. He immediately had the restaurant make two fresh ones for me, which I found incredibly touching. When a hotel manager can promptly handle issues and ensure guest satisfaction, that hotel is surely destined for greatness. Highly recommended!

I stayed at the Andaz Hotel with my parents during the Chinese New Year holiday. Although the decor is a bit dated due to the hotel's age, the meticulous upkeep and cleaning still made for a very pleasant stay. I absolutely loved the full set of Byredo's Eleventh Hour toiletries provided in the room – they're unique, not overly common, and show great taste! The only minor drawback was that the smart control buttons in the room were a bit old and not very responsive, making it slightly less convenient than when I stayed a few years ago. Also, the TV is old, and watching the Spring Festival Gala and Winter Olympics felt a bit anachronistic, I hope they can improve this in the future! All the hotel staff (including the front desk, restaurant, room service, housekeeping, security, concierge, etc.) were very dedicated and had excellent service attitudes, promptly responding to any requests. I especially want to commend the staff who cleaned room 2505 on 2/18 during check-out; they found a piece of jewelry that my elderly parent had lost, and my parent specifically asked me to give them a good review and thanks! On the morning of the second day of Chinese New Year, there was also a lion dance performance that toured the restaurant and took photos with guests. Overall, this was a great stay, and I would definitely come back again if I have the chance.

So close to perfection.... So close. I have been putting off staying at this hotel for years, and that is a regret. This hotel is amazing. Location, Great. Staff, friendly. Beds, comfortable. 24 hour room service, fantastic. Bidet toilet seat, amazing. For the price, this hotel is a steal. Better service and better rooms than hotels that are double the price. My biggest problem. The bathtub is too small. It looks big, but for a 190cm guy, it's just way way too small. Looks big in pictures... Not in reality. They probably have bigger tubs in different rooms (maybe executive or suites). I will contact them before booking again to make sure tub is big. The pool is great. The Sauna and steam room in the changing rooms are great. I do wish there was a jacuzzi or some hot pool... Either in the gendered changing rooms or by the pool. Recommendations: the bathrobes are small, get some plus sized ones. More coffee in the room, 2 pods aren't enough. More water in rooms, 4 small bottles aren't enough. Allow cooling during winter, I know it's not easy, but many expats don't want 25° rooms. Finally... For room service. EGGS BENEDICT!!!! You already have a good room service breakfast menu... But you need eggs Benedict. I judge hotels room service based on club sandwiches. This club sandwich was mid tier. Not bad, not fantastic. Granted I ordered the late night club sandwich. Maybe there is a difference. But this is the same with all of the other room service food I ordered. Good. Just a few steps away from great. But super happy there is a 24hr menu! Next time I stay I will experiment with regular hours food vs late night. In all. This hotel is amazing! Definitely will stay again. Just hopefully I can get a bigger bathtub next time.

However, this didn't affect our view of the cliff light and shadow show at night. The light show deserves a perfect 100 – it's absolutely worth seeing! This hotel is perfectly suited to my taste. The lobby is predominantly decorated in black and red, with even the glass panels featuring a red tint. The lobby area is incredibly spacious, boasting many distinct seating zones, which made me feel like I could spend an entire day just lounging there. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a large shopping mall, MixC City, offering a wide array of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Plus, it's just a few subway stops from either the train station or the airport. Getting to the hotel from Ziteng Road Metro Station: exit and enter the shopping mall through its main illuminated entrance. For the most straightforward path, *before* you reach the pedestrian street of the metro commercial area, follow the signs to take the elevator up to the second floor. From there, walk through the parking lot between Buildings A and B, and you'll arrive directly at the hotel, with no stairs to navigate. Overall, I feel the hotel's marketing efforts are insufficient. This hidden gem truly deserves to be discovered by more people.

A place worth its price. I choose this hotel mainly due to its price which wasn’t too expensive and met my needs (a rather bigger room). It was perfect due to the fact that I had a lot of luggage and the room was spacious enough. The location is also very nice, it is near various commercial areas and around 10/12 minutes walk from the green line (line 2), which I took to go to the oriental pearl tower. Something that surprised me was the delivery robot for takeaways, which was something I never saw in other hotels during my stay in China😂. Our last stop in Guangdong with the whole family, the front desk lady saw how many of us there were and proactively recommended a more suitable room type. The hotel environment is comfortable and well-designed. The pool temperature is perfect for kids, and the bathroom's steam room and hot tub are great for the elderly, washing away the fatigue from Chimelong. The executive lounge offers a rich and delicious dinner, and breakfast has a wide variety of options. The hotel's location is superb, making it easy to visit Canton Tower, go shopping, and explore the flower market, satisfying the different needs of three generations. And there's one more thing that makes me want to give extra stars: when we got to the airport, we realized my child's phone watch was missing. Its battery was low, so we couldn't pinpoint the floor. I really don't understand why this place only has a 4.4 rating. We stayed in room 3009, which the front desk upgraded for us. The room was spacious, quiet, clean, tidy, and had large windows letting in plenty of sunshine. The adjacent room, 3010, was a bit smaller. The elevator was fast and quiet, much better than the one at another duplex apartment in Zhengjia Plaza. When we arrived, two handsome young men immediately came to help us with our luggage and brought it to our room. By the way, even a five-star hotel like the Garden Hotel doesn't offer this kind of service; we always have to carry our own luggage there, without even a chance to tip. The breakfast was small, exquisite, and delicious – perfectly adequate. The view from outside the restaurant was lovely; enjoying breakfast while looking at the scenery outside the window in the morning put us in a great mood. The restaurant staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, thumbs up! This was the most satisfying hotel of our trip, and we've stayed at places like the Jin Mao in Shanghai, the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou, and the Howard Johnson in Sanya.

This was my first stay at a Marriott, and the front desk staff proactively upgraded us to a higher floor with a fantastic view. What impressed me most was the thoughtfulness of the housekeeper, Wang Chunfang, who helped us recover our child's retainer. My child accidentally left it in the room, wrapped in tissue, and most housekeepers might have easily thrown it out with the trash, so finding it was truly remarkable. Furthermore, Marriott's management and procedures are incredibly professional. They contacted me promptly after finding the retainer, but I was busy and missed the call. When I checked in at the Baiyun Hotel in Guangzhou this time, I had booked a Business Executive King Room. However, the front desk informed me that it was fully booked and I could only get a standard king room. This was a clear downgrade from the room type and price I had reserved. The 25th floor, which I specifically wanted, is a non-smoking floor. Unfortunately, all the rooms of my booked type on the 25th floor were occupied. While there were rooms available on other floors, they were not non-smoking areas. Due to health reasons, I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke, so I was reluctantly forced to take a standard king room on the 25th floor. This was quite frustrating and annoying. Additionally, in the bathroom, it was very difficult to switch the shower faucet to the showerhead; it took me a long time to finally get it to work. I hope this can be looked into and maintained.

We had a fantastic winter break trip! School's about to start, and Guangzhou has been quite humid and muggy these past few days. I thought it would be a good idea to take the little one to Conghua for some hot springs and swimming to relax and get rid of some of that humidity. I booked a stay at Bishuiwan Resort Hotel through Ctrip, which is a well-known and long-established hotel in Conghua. The hot springs are radon-bicarbonate. As expected from an old-school hotel, the service was excellent. As soon as we arrived, a staff member came over to greet us and ask what we needed. Check-in was quick, and they even arranged for someone to help us with our luggage from the road. The family activities were abundant. After checking in, once they knew we had a child, the staff immediately gave us a brochure detailing all the family activities, start times, and locations. To encourage participation, they even had small gifts, and my child had a blast. The management is also very thoughtful. Unfortunately, it rained heavily, but the hotel quickly provided plenty of umbrellas at every entrance, which was a nice touch. The staff in the hot spring area were also very polite and enthusiastic, and they refilled water and tea promptly. There were many hot spring pools, and they were all very comfortable. The hotel's dining was also good and convenient. I originally planned to go out and try some local farm-style dishes, but since the food at the hotel's restaurants, Lixiangyuan and Debei Square, was delicious, we just ended up eating all our meals at the hotel.

My room was a luxurious suite with private bath tub (around hkd 3000 for two nights including breakfast). Hardware is definitely exceptional. However when it comes to service it is below standard: 1) front desk - service was poor without any greetings such as bell boy. Front desk officers were unhappy without any eye contact when they talk to you. No hospitality at all; 2) breakfast - the quality both food and service were not up to a 4 or 5 star service. Table was not clean, staffs were almost unfriendly, except one female manager and one staff, all staffs were rushing their task and unwelcoming. I believe the hotel management need to motivate their staff ,otherwise, people won’t come again. 3) Amnenties - room is a luxurious suite with private bath tub, massage chair, kitchen , dining table and queen bed. The tub was not very clean, with water splitting . Such a waste as their service was not meeting the standard of what it is expected to be a 5- star resort. (The environment, garden were nicely decorated indeed) The Hot Spring pool is well known but I have’s try so cannot comment. I won’t come to this resort again, if the service of the hotel haven’t improved. And I won’t recommend travelers with kids who is looking for a family friendly and good service resort. This is my third stay at the Hilton Dinglong. I initially chose it because many of my friends found its location convenient and public transport easily accessible. I even stayed here just two months after it opened. Back then, my experience was like paying for an Atour, All Seasons, or Xana hotel but receiving full international star-level service. In 2023, I brought friends from the north to experience Guangzhou's historical charm and culinary delights, and we mostly stayed around Xiguan. Before heading back to Meizhou, we stayed one night here, and they said it was the most comfortable night they had in Guangzhou. This time, I was even more pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful; I wasn't hungry at all for lunch, which saved me money and precious time. This stay was made even better by the duty manager, Bao Qiankun. His service was incredibly warm and thoughtful. Knowing I enjoy inviting friends to taste European-standard yellow tea, he proactively upgraded me to a suite for free. I had originally only planned for a short one-day stay but ended up extending it by another day. He even helped courier a forgotten item back to my home free of charge. An absolutely delightful stay, highly deserving of a five-star rating and strongly recommended! The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Terminal 1, with a direct skybridge connection on the third floor. For Terminals 2 and 3, there's a convenient complimentary shuttle service. Given Guangzhou's traffic, staying at Pullman the day before an early morning flight is an excellent choice. The hotel's sales associate was incredibly thoughtful and even upgraded my room for free, which was a fantastic experience! **She even helped deliver my takeout order to the room, which was a lovely touch.** And the breakfast was absolutely superb, especially since it starts as early as 5:30 AM! Overall, I highly recommend the Pullman Airport Hotel!

The room was absolutely fantastic, on the 91st floor, room 9110. It offered a superb view directly opposite the Canton Tower, and the night view was incredibly beautiful. If you're staying on this floor, you really don't need to buy a ticket for the Canton Tower; you can enjoy the view every night. When I visited the Canton Tower, I could actually see this hotel from across the way. It felt like there wasn't much difference between enjoying the night view from the room and from the tower, except that at the tower you can see all around. Check-in was actually between 4 and 5 PM, and the staff's attitude was very good. I'm grateful for the room arrangement. This trip was for my eldest child's birthday, and they even gifted us a very delicate small cake. I love Guangzhou, which is why I chose to stay at this hotel for 3 nights. All the staff members were of high quality, and their attitudes were excellent. They have a swimming pool, and if you don't have a swim cap, they provide one for free at the pool. Downstairs, to the right after you exit, there are lockers for food deliveries. There's a subway station nearby and a shopping mall. It's about a 27-28 minute taxi ride to Chimelong and around 20 minutes to Beijing Road. If you don't feel like going out, ordering takeout is perfectly fine; you can just sit by the window and enjoy the stunning night view below. I had a twin room, and I asked them to combine the two beds. We pushed the two beds back and then merged them, because there's a coffee table in the middle that makes it inconvenient to move. This created a large bed, preventing my younger child from falling off, and it was perfect for four people. I will definitely come back next time.

This is my second stay at Rosewood this year, and I've noticed a significant improvement in service both times. It feels like Rosewood has invested a lot in staff training. Service used to be a weak point, but now it's really stepped up. From the moment the car pulled up and they helped with luggage, to the detailed communication during check-in, the executive lounge dinner, and the breakfast service and food quality, plus the cheerful pool staff – it truly feels like Rosewood's service has gotten much better. This time, I particularly want to commend the excellent room cleanliness. My child wore non-slip socks in the room for three days without changing them because it was so clean, which made us feel much more at ease... though the tea bags in the room were a bit disappointing!

For this Guangzhou vacation, my child has always loved Shangri-La, so we didn't hesitate to stay here again. Overall, our experience was very satisfying. We stayed in the Horizon Club for four consecutive nights. The housekeeping staff were incredibly diligent, keeping the room spotlessly clean and tidy every day, which made our stay very comfortable. They definitely deserve high praise for that. The only minor drawback that affected our overall experience was a small incident at breakfast on our departure day: Since we had an 7-8 hour high-speed train ride that day, we hadn't had time to prepare snacks the night before, and my child had only eaten a little before going for a walk. After I finished my breakfast, I remembered that the check-in slip on the first day mentioned a takeaway service. So, I asked a staff member about how to pack food. They told me I could place the bread on the table first. I picked a plate of bread, but when I went back to another staff member to ask for a takeaway bag, I was told that packing was not allowed. The situation was quite awkward at the time. I didn't argue further, but just asked what to do with the plate of bread. In the end, the staff member simply took away the bread I had selected. We stayed for four consecutive nights, with breakfast and dinner included, and didn't even dine at the hotel for several of the dinners. Honestly, we weren't concerned about the cost of a few pieces of bread. However, the inconsistent information and being directly refused and having the food taken away in front of us truly dampened our mood. What could have been a thoughtful service that enhanced our stay ended up bringing our perfect accommodation experience down to just barely passing.

A big shout out to the front desk attendant – I forgot her name, but it had the character '纯' (chún)! The room was spacious and breakfast was great! There were a couple of areas for improvement, though. When our family of six arrived in the lobby, there was no one there to greet or guide us. We had an absolutely delightful stay. Incredible location right off Nanjing East Road (everything close by). Our room was clean, quiet, well laid out, thoughtfully appointed with necessities, and had very comfortable beds. Above all the housekeeping staff shined with their kindness and thoughtfulness to use throughout our week stay. This hotel actually thinks about and includes in their room designs the little things that once experienced you wonder why others never thought of. . Like multiple electrical outlets everywhere they might be needed, a soft nightlight to lightly illuminate under the bathroom counter (and controlled at bedside) so you can see to go at night without stumbling. Covered trash recepticles to place your take out food remains to avoid odors in your room. Bottled water and toiletries replaced readily. Only downside for us was the public laundry space was out of service as the area was under reconstruction and we did not knew beforehand (and we needed it). Overall one of the nicest stays we've had in a long time.

Convenient location to business buildings and tourist attractions. Just 2km or so to Nanjing Pedestrian Road. But, nothing much is opened before 10am near hotel. So, if you're looking for breakfast before 10am, you might need to travel a little further. There's a convenience store just underneath the hotel. However, for my room on 9th floor, every now and then, there's sewage stench coming from the vent, possibly from the toilet of the unit above? It lasted several minutes. That's the main issue with the unit. Otherwise, I had comfortable sleep and I appreciate the kitchen and washing machine in the room.

The hotel’s location is very good. It is about a 5-minute walk to a huge Starbucks, Nanjing West Road, the MRT station, and Wujiang Road, which has several nice bakeries and food options. This made getting around very convenient. There was also a 7-11 just across the road. However, the Premier Two-Bedroom Suite was disappointing for the price paid. The rooms are rather small, especially the master bedroom, where there was not enough space to place or open any luggage. We had to keep our luggage in the living room instead. The bathroom, particularly the shower area, looked very dated. The tiles appeared old and there was a musty smell, which was unpleasant. Another inconvenience was that the light switches were only on one side of the bed, making it very inconvenient to switch off the lights from the other side. The kitchenette was also very small. Cutlery was stored in a drawer above the bin, which was not ideal, and there were no extra plates provided. The tiles looked old with visible cracks, and some of the drawers were faulty. Overall, the room did not feel premium and felt overpriced for what was offered. The hotel rooms clearly need a glow-up to match the Kempinski brand and the rates charged. Additionally, the reception area was undergoing renovation, with no seating or waiting area. The pick-up and drop-off driveway is very narrow, only a small lane. When loading our luggage, we had to do so very quickly as other cars were waiting. The driveway would benefit from being more spacious. While the location is excellent, the room condition, layout, and facilities did not meet expectations for a Premier suite.

During the Chinese New Year, I brought my child to Shanghai and had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hyatt for two nights, thanks to our itinerary. The location is truly excellent, situated in the prime Lujiazui area, right next to the large shopping complex Super Brand Mall and the luxury IFC Mall, making shopping and entertaining the kids incredibly convenient. During the holiday, the hotel even offered various free activities for children staying with them at scheduled times. We booked a room in the Jin Mao Tower (Purple Gold Building), and although it's an older wing, it's well-maintained, and the room was clean and tidy. Breakfast is on the second floor, with access from both towers. On the first day, there was a slight hiccup: staff members at the entrance were directing guests to a temporary dining area on the third floor. Regular hotel guests would know that temporary areas can differ significantly, and at the very least, guests should be clearly informed and given the option to wait or go to the temporary area. While it's understandable that it was busy and understaffed during Chinese New Year, after my complaint, a restaurant manager followed up the same day, and things improved the next day. However, it still highlighted a lack of staff training that led to much confusion.

This time I booked a twin room, which is perfect for families with children. The hotel's location is unbeatable, within walking distance to IFS, Oriental Pearl Tower, and Pudong Art Museum.

The location is incredibly convenient, with plenty of options like Jing'an Temple, Jiuguang Department Store, Réel Department Store, Plaza 66, and Kerry Centre nearby – it's super bustling! 👍👍👍 The hotel environment is elegant, a true five-star establishment with excellent, comfortable facilities. The rooms are spacious and bright. The surrounding dining, entertainment, sightseeing, transportation, and artistic atmosphere are all top-notch. Staying at the Kunlun Hotel this Chinese New Year in Shanghai was definitely the best choice!

The room was newly renovated, and we could even see the Oriental Pearl Tower from our window when we pulled back the curtains, which was a nice bonus. Facilities: Quite new Cleanliness: Pretty clean Environment: Overall okay Service: The service deserves praise. Although the check-in process took a bit longer, the service experience after checking in was excellent. A butler checked in with us about our stay, and when we had an issue with breakfast during our Chinese New Year trip, the butler immediately provided a solution. It was really good.

I stayed here for one night. I came here after leaving another hotel that wasn't good. I'm so glad that I came here instead. I really got such a good night's sleep. One of the hotel staff, Ekko, was extra helpful in answering my questions in English, allowing me to stay longer in the lobby while I waited for my friend and even offered me a bottle of water. He was very welcoming! The the bed is so comfortable and soft and the hotel is very clean. And the breakfast is also delicious. You also have a vending machine on the first floor that takes digital payment and a mini refrigerator in your room. There's also a smart TV with HDMI and screen mirroring. It's great value for money and it's also just a really comfortable place to stay. The interior design is really beautiful and eclectic. I think you'll have fun just hanging out in the lobby, good music playing, for a couple hours doing some work at one of the many sitting areas in the lobby, if you're a digital nomad like me. This was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to Xi'an. I upgraded myself from the Sofitel to a Luxury Premier Room at the Sofitel Legend, and it was absolutely worth it. The room layout was well-designed, featuring two bathrooms and a separate walk-in closet. The amenities were exquisite, with high-quality towels and bath towels, and incredibly comfortable bedding. Hotel is nicely located near Huiminjie @ Muslim Quater. Everything about the stay was pleasant except for the wifi. The connection was extremely slow. I needed to get some work done, and in the end my hotspot worked much better. Another issue was the centralised aircon system. During winter, it kept blowing warm air and the room felt quite suffocating. When I asked for help, the reception staff simply advised me to switch it off. Even with the aircon turned off, the room still felt stuffy. For those arriving by Didi, use the hotel’s main address from drop-off. If you use the “allocated” address shown in the app, the driver may drop you far from the actual hotel entrance and you’ll have to navigate the rest on your own. Overall, the stay was fine but these issues made it less comfortable than expected.

They also provided purified water dispensers in the hallways, elevators, and courtyard for guests to drink. Location: The hotel is located south of the city center. There's a bus stop right outside, making it quite convenient to get to the Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter. Facilities: The lobby and reception area have an artistic vibe, showing a clear effort in creating a pleasant atmosphere. The mattress was great and comfortable, but the pillow was uncomfortable and gave me a stiff neck. Cleanliness: It was alright. Everything being black made it hard to tell if it was dirty or clean. Service: Make sure to use the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, otherwise, the staff will knock on your door early every morning, which is incredibly annoying. However, if you leave without pressing 'Make Up Room', it definitely won't get cleaned. Also, the more expensive 'Superior King Room' is actually far less comfortable than the cheaper 'Comfort Deep Sleep Room'. The last picture shows a rip-off tobacco shop in the Muslim Quarter. We stayed for two nights, checking in on Chinese New Year's Eve and checking out on the first day of the New Year. Driving was super convenient; it was a short drive off the ring road. The underground parking felt really upscale. All the hotel staff politely greeted us with 'Happy New Year.' Our room was quiet, spacious, bright, and clean. They had already made up the sofa bed, which was perfectly comfortable for one person. My only minor regret was that the executive room didn't have a smart toilet. Staying at Wyndham during the Chinese New Year, we were greeted by an uncle dressed in Jinyiwei (Imperial Guard) attire who enthusiastically opened the door for us. A kind lady in a black suit then proactively guided us to check in, and the front desk attendant even gave us some Guoba (crispy rice snack). Although there was a minor issue with the room initially, it was quickly resolved. In fact, there were many wonderful and enthusiastic hotel staff, like Kiko, Zhao Jiaxi, Liu Ye, housekeeping staff Wang Ni, and many other unnamed service personnel who were all excellent. Every staff member we encountered would proactively greet us and were always ready to answer any questions. The breakfast was also very generous with a wide variety of options, including many Xi'an specialties, and the restaurant service was excellent. Plus, the hotel is right next to the Grand Tang Everbright City, allowing us to get there before the crowds. However, there were some minor drawbacks, such as the mattress being too soft, which wasn't ideal for my back pain, and the pillows lacking resilience, causing neck discomfort after prolonged sleep. This was my first stay at the Sofitel Legend Xi'an, the only Sofitel Legend property in mainland China under Accor's luxury brand. The hotel boasts an excellent location at 319 Dongxin Street, Xincheng District, Xi'an, close to many historical sites like the Bell Tower. The People's Mansion complex at 319 Dongxin Street houses four hotels: Sofitel Legend Xi'an, Sofitel Xi'an on Renmin Square, Grand Mercure Xi'an on Renmin Square, and Mercure Xi'an on Renmin Square. The surrounding area is well-equipped with amenities, making transportation incredibly convenient. After the founding of New China in 1949, to meet the needs of official foreign接待, the Xi'an People's Mansion was established in 1953 in the ancient capital of Xi'an. It was then the largest, best-equipped, and highest-standard foreign affairs guesthouse in the Northwest region, initiated and overseen by the leaders of the Northwest Military and Political Committee. In the early 21st century, with the deepening of reform and opening-up and the flourishing tourism industry, under the unified leadership of Shaanxi Investment Group Co., Ltd., the People's Mansion entrusted Accor Group Hotel Management Company to professionally operate and manage the hotel cluster within the complex. Significant funds were invested, initiating a continuous upgrade and renovation project that lasted over ten years. This ultimately resulted in the creation of Mercure, Grand Mercure, Sofitel, and the fifth and only Sofitel Legend hotel in the world located in China. To the east is the Sofitel International Convention and Exhibition Center, which officially opened after 2000. This center features a pillar-less grand ballroom, 11 multi-functional meeting rooms, and a specialty Chinese restaurant. To the west is the Sofitel People's Theater. The theater, built in 1954, was renovated and upgraded after 2000, becoming an important venue for political and cultural activities in Shaanxi Province and even the entire Northwest region. From 1953 to 1974, the People's Mansion was not open to the public, with its main entrance guarded by Chinese People's Liberation Army soldiers, conveying both a sense of solemn strictness and an intriguing mystery of that era. In 2014, Building 1 of Xi'an People's Mansion completed its refurbishment. Building 1 of the People's Mansion stands in the heart of the ancient capital, carrying the city's glorious memories since 1953. It once served as an important venue for receiving state guests, and has now been magnificently transformed into the Sofitel Legend Xi'an, retaining its historical heritage while exuding a new brilliance of French elegance and contemporary luxury. The Sofitel Legend Xi'an embodies luxury that is never ostentatious; it is subtly hidden in meticulously crafted details. We firmly believe that true respect goes beyond magnificent spaces and lies in a refined response to lifestyle. The Sofitel Legend hotel has eight floors. The basement houses the spa, the ground floor features the lobby, with the front desk on the left, along with a swimming pool, a museum, a fitness center, and the Roman Holiday Italian Restaurant. The second floor offers meeting rooms and a business center. The hotel offers four types of suites: a 61 sqm Premier Suite, a 98 sqm Luxury Premier Suite, a 133 sqm Imperial Suite, and a 183 sqm Chang'an Suite. The 61 sqm Premier Suite is well-designed, with a quiet and comfortable room and fresh, pleasant air. Upon entering, there's a living room with a minibar, followed by the bedroom. Beyond the bedroom, there's a bathtub and a separate wet and dry bathroom with a shower. The hotel staff were professional and enthusiastic. During check-in, they proactively introduced nearby attractions and transportation routes – highly recommended!

My room was on a high floor with floor-to-ceiling windows offering great views. The bathroom and shower are separate, and the bathtub is huge, making for a really comfortable soak. And I absolutely have to rave about the hotel's buffet restaurant – I loved it so much, the food was delicious! The breakfast selection is massive, so much so that you can't possibly try everything. The Roujiamo (meat burger) was fantastic, and they even had Japanese-style onsen eggs, which was a delightful surprise. The dinner buffet was equally impressive, with items like mini lobsters, and especially the desserts – they use high-quality ingredients, look stunning, and aren't overly sweet or cloying!

The skyscraper is very large and beautiful. The rooms are nice and have all the amenities. We were given a free room upgrade. There's a beautiful pool and a gym available. Towels were changed and the bathroom was cleaned every day. Breakfast was a buffet with all kinds of food, with chefs preparing typical Xi'an dishes on the spot. Above all, the staff was very kind, accommodating all our requests and offering us yogurt drinks, desserts, and soups for dinner or a snack completely free of charge. Some of the staff speak English, but with WeChat, you can communicate with a translation tool. I recommend it! Excellent value for money.

Here's a review of my recent stay: 1. **Pre-Arrival Contact:** No one contacted me before my arrival. 2. **Butler Service:** This hotel doesn't offer butler service. 3. **Kids' Breakfast:** When checking in, I asked the front desk if they could provide a complimentary children's breakfast, but they couldn't. 4. **Hotel WeChat:** I asked the front desk if the hotel had a WeChat account. They informed me that they don't use WeChat for communication and that guests should call the front desk for any inquiries. 5. **New Year's Eve Dinner:** We booked the New Year's Eve dinner for 2888 RMB. The value for money was just so-so, but I guess that's expected for a holiday. They did have a raffle, and it seemed like everyone won a prize, which made up for the value issue a bit. 6. **Post-Departure Contact:** Someone finally sent a message to check in after I had already left. 7. **Executive Lounge:** The executive lounge was quite good, but everything else was just average. 8. **Management Presence:** While having dinner, I saw the restaurant manager. During the day, I also saw the Director of Rooms on the first floor. It seemed like all the other senior executives might have been on holiday! 9. **Stay Duration:** We spent four days and three nights in Xi'an for New Year's and stayed at this hotel for three nights. 10. **Breakfast:** I didn't eat breakfast, so I can't comment on it. My child ate my portion. I don't usually eat breakfast anyway, so whether or not a complimentary children's breakfast was offered wasn't a big deal for me. 11. **Comparison with Other Hotels:** My next destination is Kunming, and I'm staying at a Four Points by Sheraton. Even before arriving, the reservations staff actively contacted me, which is a stark contrast to the Ritz-Carlton Xi'an, where no one bothered to reach out. 12. **Location:** The hotel is located in the high-tech zone. Although there's a subway station right outside, it's quite a distance from the city center, so we had to take taxis everywhere. 13. **Nearby Amenities:** There's a shopping mall next to the hotel, and a Starbucks can be found by exiting through the back door on the first floor. 14. **Future Stays:** For someone who only stays at the Ritz, I'd probably stay here again next time. Otherwise, I might consider newer hotels like newly opened Courtyards, Element Hotels, or Marriotts. Newly opened Courtyards are usually quite good!

Staying at the Hyatt in Xi'an was very hassle-free. The front desk added me on WeChat when I checked in. One time, I ordered some fruit for delivery, and another guest took it by mistake. Mr. Jerry, the concierge manager, specially helped me retrieve it. He even offered compensation, but I declined as it wasn't anything valuable. When I checked out, I left some items behind, and the front desk even messaged me to let me know and helped arrange for them to be sent back. My experience was perfect. The lamb soup for breakfast was also excellent.

The location is convenient for transportation, and the room was comfortable, quiet, and clean. They even offer late-night snacks! Among all the Manxin Hotels I've stayed at, this one's price was quite budget-friendly. It would be even better if the breakfast selection had more variety.

Everything is good. They only have one washing machine and heater. So we need to wait for some time to wash our cloths as we stay over there for one weeks. Remarkable service from Soon Xiao Ni and the crew provide daily breakfast. She is professionalism, attention to detail, and kindness made a big difference. I truly appreciate her dedication to her works.

The hotel's location is good, but the Baidu navigation isn't great. I hope they can communicate with the map maker. The breakfast was quite rich, with fruits, vegetables, snacks, porridge, milk, soy milk, yogurt, freshly cooked rice noodles, and even freshly ground coffee. However, I saw a woman using her bare hands to pull several sausages out of a plastic bag... I can't imagine it anymore. I hope they'll use gloves, tongs, plates, etc. when adding breakfast items in the future, and improve management.

The room was great, fully equipped, and especially quiet. It's very close to Xi'an North Railway Station, and they offer a shuttle service, which is perfect for guests catching trains from there. Dining and shopping nearby are very convenient. Plus, it's away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The room service was good, affordable, and the staff had a great attitude. Breakfast was decent, and all the staff, though a bit older, were exceptionally friendly.

. Man Xin Changanli Hotel Xi'an Bell tower was a gorgeous and modern hotel. The room was beautifully designed in warm colors and there was plenty of seating area--including a cute little tatami sitting area. The windows were floor-to-ceiling, with automatic curtains that move with a slight tug. The staff were very friendly. The view outside the window is an interesting picture of the city wall, but it wasn't very pretty--just the brick wall and little bit of the events on the top. The beds were too firm for me, but I'm used to softer beds. My friend said it was fine for her though. Despite how beautiful the room is, I would not stay there again. The temperature in the room would not go below 29c, even with the air conditioner turned on. When asked if they could come fix the A/C, the staff said this room was more ”natural” and people don't really use it, so there wasn't anything they could do. We had to open the windows to keep cool. Additionally, the air conditioner was so loud that when I first heard it, I thought someone was rolling a cart down the cobblestones outside the hotel window. It was almost as loud as the construction happening directly outside our window. Speaking of the construction, it didn't start until 7 or 8 pm at night and went through until 3-4am. Couldn’t close the window without turning the room into a hotbox, so it was extremely noisy between the sounds of the machinery and the workers shouting over it. I'm a light sleeper, so it was nearly impossible to sleep. Between the heat, the noise from the air conditioner, and the noise from the construction, I got almost no sleep during my three day stay. So it's a lovely hotel, but it's too noisy and uncomfortable.
