The room's cleanliness was quite good, which is the main reason for the positive rating on hygiene. Facing the back garden with sealed windows, the room was relatively quiet. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options—Chinese, Western, and Japanese—but the taste was really disappointing; none of it was good. It’s my first time not feeling full after a hotel buffet. The poor quality of the food is why I gave a low score for the facilities.

Amazing view! They even upgraded my room. BUT, after checking out, the hotel called me saying a bathrobe was missing and asked if I'd worn it to the pool. I said no, I hadn't been to the pool, and suggested they look again. A little while later, they called me again, saying the bathrobe was still missing... (they didn't contact me again after that)... I mean, who steals a bathrobe these days? ~

Folks!! This hotel is truly worth me writing a novel-length review for 😭✨ I just stayed at the Grand Lapa Macau and, as a hotel enthusiast, I was absolutely blown away! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt like I'd been transported into a European palace film 🎬 Crystal chandeliers + marble spiral staircase + vintage murals – every casual snap turns into an Instagram-worthy masterpiece 📸 My朋友圈 (friends circle) is already exploding with everyone asking, ”Which amazing hotel is this?!” The room is even more incredible!! The bed is so soft it feels like sleeping on clouds ☁️ The bathtub is huge, and you can enjoy Macau's night view while soaking 🌃 The mini-bar is completely FREE!! Drink and snack to your heart's content – my budget-conscious self is thrilled! 🥳 The service details are legendary! The front desk guy was super gentle, proactively helping with luggage and bringing welcome fruits 🍇 The room was sparkling clean every day, and they even neatly arranged my skincare products – a true delight for my OCD! The location is also a huge plus! It’s a 5-minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf and 10 minutes to Sands, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. Strolling downstairs at the hotel in the evening, with the sea breeze and the lights, was so romantic it made me want to get married on the spot! 💍 Cons:

When I asked for dining recommendations, they were attentive and helped me find places, communicating patiently and thoughtfully throughout. Miya provided meticulous and thorough service, handling everything promptly and efficiently. The room environment was clean and comfortable, making for an overall pleasant stay. Thanks to the thoughtful front desk service, I'll definitely prioritize this hotel for future trips.

The staff service was quite good. The room window faced the new TV station directly. The air conditioning in the room was a bit old, and the air quality was a bit poor; we had to ask the cleaning staff to open the windows for ventilation every day. The pool environment was pretty good, and it wasn't crowded. The hairdryer at the pool was a Dyson, which was much better than the one in the room, which was really bad. The changing room at the pool was reasonably clean, and the shower area was quite spacious.

After comparing several hotels for our family trip to Beijing, we finally settled on the Xinqiao Hotel, and it made our entire trip comfortable and hassle-free – a solid five-star rating! 📍The location is absolutely fantastic. Right outside, you'll find Chongwenmen Subway Station for lines 2 and 5. It's just a 10-15 minute walk to Tiananmen Square, Wangfujing, and Qianmen, and only a few subway stops to the Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven. The surrounding New World and Guorui malls offer plenty of dining and shopping options. Plus, it's very close to Beijing Railway Station, making travel incredibly convenient, especially when traveling with kids. 🛁The room was full of pleasant surprises. The entire room features natural hot spring water drawn from a thousand meters underground, so all the water for washing is natural spring water, making showers wonderfully relaxing. The room was impeccably clean, the bedding was soft and dry, and the mattress was just the right firmness. It was quiet and peaceful at night. We stayed in a family duplex suite, which had two floors and two bathrooms, offering ample space – perfect for a family of three. The amenities were complete, and they even thoughtfully provided children's toiletries and slippers. The attention to detail was exceptional.

This hotel boasts a prime location in the heart of Wangfujing, directly across from the subway entrance (Line 8, Jinyu Hutong Station). It offers instant access to the subway, with Line 1 providing direct routes to Universal Studios and Xidan. Popular spots like Nanluoguxiang and the Temple of Heaven are just two subway stops away, making city-wide travel incredibly convenient. It's also right next to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, with APM, Yintai Shopping Center, and the snack street all within easy walking distance – perfect for shopping and dining. Tiananmen Square and the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City are a mere 10-15 minute walk, meaning you can catch the flag-raising ceremony without the hassle of a taxi or traffic. Old city landmarks such as Houhai, Nanluoguxiang, and Beihai Park are also easily accessible, ensuring all major attractions are covered. This central location allows for an extra half-hour of sleep each day, making for a much more relaxed and enjoyable trip.

This is my second trip to Beijing this year, and I chose to stay at the Livefor hotel in Chongwenmen again with my son. I guess that makes me a repeat customer, right? 😁 Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Chongwenmen subway station, making getting around incredibly easy. There are malls right downstairs and across the street, so with a child, I don't have to venture far. Cleanliness is my top priority when choosing a hotel, which is why I've picked Livefor twice. Next up is the bedding, especially the pillows – they're just the right firmness, ensuring a really comfortable sleep. The soundproofing is also good; once the window is closed, you can't hear any outside noise, and it's very quiet at night. My son loved the mini-fridge in the room; he bought some drinks and cheese, and he really enjoyed that. The service was also excellent and thoughtful. Check-in was quick, the staff were friendly and gentle, and they were always ready to help with any issues. All in all, the transportation, accommodation, and dining experiences were all great, offering good value for money. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Beijing.

The hotel’s location is excellent, with a McDonald’s and 7-Eleven just a short walk away. The hotel is also well-located for sightseeing, with popular attractions such as Wangfujing and the Palace Museum only about a 15-minute drive away, making it easy to explore the city. I booked this hotel for its convenient location, and it certainly didn't disappoint! There's a bus stop right outside, and the subway entrance is only about 100-200 meters away. Plus, it's next to Tong Ren Tang and super close to the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. The service was also incredibly warm; they even brought me a hot chrysanthemum tea when I came back from a concert, which was so thoughtful! The breakfast was delicious, and I especially loved their flavorful cold dishes. Unfortunately, the TV had no signal due to a wiring issue, and I accidentally booked a room without a window, ugh! The hotel is conveniently located in Beijing's Chaoyang District, close to the Kerry Center and Guomao (CBD) areas. It's about an 8-minute walk to Soho, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The concierge staff were very prompt and welcoming, opening car doors and guiding guests to the front desk. The front desk staff were also very friendly. The room was spacious and bright, and the 2-meter king-size bed was incredibly comfortable. All the drinks and juices in the mini-fridge were complimentary. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of options. The lobby bar had excellent value for money for lunch, and there was live music in the evenings. The fitness center is open 24 hours (after 11 PM, you access it by swiping your room card). The gym space is huge, with a full range of equipment and daily group classes. The swimming pool is 1.2 meters deep and 30 meters long. This is honestly the biggest and best fitness center I've encountered in a hotel, both domestically and internationally! They even have personal trainers available for one-on-one guidance. All in all, a fantastic stay!

This experience was a bit disappointing! First, the good points: the accommodation package included a high-quality afternoon tea set, and the staff were very friendly! Now for the not-so-good parts: I'm not sure if it was due to the increased traffic during the May Day holiday, but the room cleaning was unsatisfactory. There were hairs everywhere, on the sofa and in the corners of the walls. I wonder if the previous guest had a pet. We had to request a second vacuum cleaning! The evening BBQ buffet was definitely something to avoid. I've never had such a terrible BBQ. It felt like an immature dish added on a whim without any proper menu development! There were no labels at the buffet counter, and all the BBQ items were mixed together. We had to ask the staff, who then had to ask the chef, and the chef would then explain each item one by one. It was basically a 'mystery box' buffet. The scallops were overcooked and a bit tough. There was no juice at the buffet, and a star-rated hotel actually served cold mixed noodles (liangpi)! The worst part was that the BBQ meat and grilled tendon weren't fully cooked. They lacked chewiness and that grilled flavor; it was more like they were par-boiled first and then grilled. The overall temperature of the food wasn't very hot, and if you didn't eat it quickly at your table, it would get cold. The only highlight was that the crayfish were decent. The watermelon at the buffet wasn't as good as the watermelon in the afternoon tea set. The dinner menu was actually worse than breakfast.

We stayed at the Bay Hillside during the May Day holiday with our child. The overall environment was serene and the air was fresh, making it perfect for a short family getaway. What I want to praise most is the incredibly thoughtful hotel service! During our stay, my child accidentally bumped their mouth. The lobby manager immediately came over to check on us and even specially sent a cute little plush toy and ice cream to comfort the child, which was very heartwarming. The butler service was also incredibly thorough. They thoughtfully pre-ordered a light breakfast suitable for young children, which was perfect for our little one's taste. They also proactively helped us arrange a late check-out, so we didn't have to rush with a child, which was incredibly convenient and considerate. The hotel's family-friendly facilities are comprehensive. The playground is large, with a soft play area suitable for younger children and various classes for kids over five. Inside of the cabin was nice but the view was nothing like the pictures advertised: sure you can see some mountains but mostly other people's platforms and roofs. Bathtub was really nice It was a cute idea to have skylight but the cover was broken and the big sign was blocking the night sky view. Promised two meals but only got one and was told that we were only allowed two vegetables dishes. Food was really salty and room only provided one bottle of drinking water. Loads of stinky bugs out of nowhere, would just pop up on the bed or sitting area. Parking location and luggage transport was intersting. Regent Beijing was my choice, a hidden gem of a luxury hotel in the city center. It's incredibly convenient, right next to the Dengshikou Station exit on Line 5, where you can spot the hotel's side entrance sign. This stay added such a gentle and healing touch to my Mayday concert trip! As a Trip.com Diamond member and IHG Platinum member, I was pleasantly surprised by the member benefits. They upgraded me to an executive room for free, which offered fantastic views and an elegant, spacious interior. Although it's an older hotel, and some of the soft furnishings show their age, the comfortable details more than made up for it. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, with eight types of pillows to choose from. All the toiletries were enriched with Vitamin E, perfect for Beijing's dry climate, instantly curing my travel fatigue. The front desk even thoughtfully provided complimentary breakfast! I originally booked a 5-night stay (2+3), but ended up moving to the Marriott after only 2 nights. The Kempinski is a well-established five-star hotel in the embassy district, boasting all the old-money charm with its restaurants, lounge, bakery, gym, and shopping mall. It's also conveniently located by the Liangma River, perfect for a leisurely stroll. However, the service was a bit of a mixed bag – the executive lounge and in-room service were incredibly thoughtful and proactive, leaving a great impression. On the other hand, the professionalism of the sales and front desk teams, who are at the forefront, needs significant improvement. First, the room type we booked clearly had two bathrooms, yet Ctrip's description only listed '1 bathroom.' This watered-down, downgraded description is likely due to the sales department's lack of attention. It was precisely for this reason that we booked a combination of 2 nights in a suite + 3 nights in a family room. However, the front desk staff we encountered on the first day of check-in were stiff and cold throughout, making us feel uncomfortable. Consequently, we decisively canceled the remaining three nights and moved to the Marriott.

I have to give a huge shout-out to the hotel's recreational facilities! Especially the indoor pool with its tropical rainforest vibe – it's so avant-garde and dreamy, and the water is crystal clear. It truly makes you feel like you've been transported to a resort paradise. The gym and other wellness facilities are also professional and well-equipped. From the outside, the stunning bronze-and-copper latticework building is an architectural stunner that naturally oxidizes and glows. It’s located at Wangfujing district perfect for 🛍️. The tech-savvy rooms are beautiful and incredibly comfortable, completely controlled by an in-room tablet. 📱 The marble bathrooms feature gorgeous golden finishes, double vanities, deep-soaking tubs, and premium toiletries. 🛁. Service is top-notch where the staff initiates conversation and remembers them, even giving suggestions where to visit in Beijing for first-timers and food recommendations in the city. They also offer takeaway for breakfast if you plan to have more snacks to go.

The hotel service, as always, was professional and meticulous. The staff were patient, thoughtful, and enthusiastic. Even before check-in, the hotel departments noticed from the booking that there would be children staying, so they decorated the room in a child-friendly way early on, with all sorts of children's amenities readily available, and even bananas among the welcome fruit, which kids love. Both during check-in and check-out, we encountered Miss Sun Yue. She's an excellent employee who can consider issues from the customer's perspective, quickly come up with solutions, and resolve problems efficiently. Although this stay was very satisfying, there's one detail I hope the hotel management pays attention to. There's a sign at the entrance of the executive lounge clearly stating that guests in inappropriate attire or disposable slippers are not allowed. However, during afternoon tea and breakfast, a few guests who disregarded this rule still entered, which certainly affected other guests and made the sign seem pointless.

We stayed in the hotel with my family during our winters vacation in December 2025. I had my kids with me and they were very friendly, courteous and accomodative to our needs. I specifically recommend Ayden for his great gesture by upgrading our room fee of charges. Since our arrival in China we had issues with non-halal food and they had a good variety of continental items for breakfast. I will recommend the property to my friends and families if they are planning future trips to China. Thank you and keep the great job... 👍

The service was excellent, but unfortunately, the hotel is quite old with an outdated overall design. The sink was at thigh-level for me, and the shower stall was made of glass, only covered by a thin curtain that still let light through. This was a challenge for someone like me who has trouble sleeping. The hotel is conveniently located near many restaurants and supermarkets, and it's only a ten-minute walk to the subway station. The breakfast buffet suited local tastes, but it was exactly the same every day for three days straight. Overall, it's not as good as a newer business hotel. I'm not sure what the standards are for a 5-diamond hotel when booking through Ctrip.

The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. What I liked most was the TV, which offered a wide variety of free TV series. Ordering takeout was also incredibly convenient (watching 'Dream of the Red Chamber' while enjoying bubble tea and braised dishes was just bliss). Although the hotel was a bit far from tourist attractions, it actually allowed us to take less popular routes, avoiding the crowds. This meant we had a good chance of getting a seat for the entire journey instead of standing, which was a huge relief (I honestly couldn't handle the crowded Beijing subway anymore during the last few days). Finally, a big shout-out to the front desk staff! The two ladies working on the evening of Jan 2nd and the afternoon of Jan 3rd were both gentle and enthusiastic. The hotel also provided excellent luggage storage service. Five stars! 💓💓💓💓💓

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Abel from the Concierge Team at Radisson Blu Hotel Shanghai New World. Before our trip, I contacted the hotel from my home country to arrange a birthday surprise for my friend. Abel was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. He responded promptly, provided detailed information about the room decoration options, and even suggested different color themes to make the setup more special. Throughout the entire process, he stayed in touch, answered all my questions, and ensured that every detail was taken care of. When we arrived, the room looked even better than I had imagined. The surprise brought so much joy to my friend, and it made her birthday truly memorable. No one had ever organized such a surprise for her before, so seeing her reaction was absolutely priceless. I am very grateful to Abel for helping make this special moment possible. I would also like to say a few words about the hotel itself. While the property may not be the newest in Shanghai, it is exceptionally well maintained, clean, comfortable, and full of character. The breakfasts are delicious, offering a great variety of choices, and the location is simply outstanding, making it easy to explore the city. Choosing Radisson Blu Hotel Shanghai New World was definitely the right decision for us. We have been enjoying every day of our stay and creating wonderful memories here. I stayed at the Garden Hotel again during the May Golden Week holiday to watch the Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai. My first stay at the Garden Hotel was 30 years ago. The marble in the lobby, the Rose restaurant, and the small mosaic tiles in the corridors still maintain their grand and elegant style. That's why I always come back to this familiar place whenever I return to China. It was a family member's birthday on the day we checked in, and the hotel gave us a box of rich chocolates. I was truly touched by the hotel's thoughtfulness, it made us very happy! **Facilities**: The TOTO toilet at the Garden Hotel is my favorite because of its washlet function, making going to the restroom so comfortable! The depth and length of the bathtub are also perfect for me. The slippers are very thick and durable; I always feel reluctant to throw them away when checking out. I even take the used slippers with me to wear on planes or high-speed trains. **Hygiene**: The hygiene details are impeccable. The towels are soft and comfortable, with dense loops, making them very reassuring to use on the skin. **Environment**: The hotel has its own garden, where you can enjoy a rare tranquility in the city of Shanghai during a morning stroll! Just one traffic light to the left of the hotel entrance, there are many small bars and restaurants! There are even two Michelin-starred restaurants! It's definitely worth a walk and exploring. **Service**: I bought many things online, and they were delivered to the hotel in batches. The concierge meticulously recorded everything and delivered them to our room! When we left, the concierge helped put our luggage in the car trunk, opened and closed the doors, and politely bid us farewell. **Welcome Package**: We received canned drinks and snacks, which was a nice surprise!

Jerry checked us in and out and even gave me a cute fridge magnet. The breakfast was delicious with so many options to choose from, the rooms were cleaned daily, and bottled water was always replenished. We stayed here for 3 nights while in Shanghai and enjoyed our time there. The location is excellent ( walk right out onto Nanjing Pedestrian street) The staff is welcoming and friendly. The hotel is clean and the room was spacious! Check in was a breeze. We opted for the family room and it had a separate living area and bedroom. It was super nice. We had a view of Nanjing Rd and heard zero noise from the bustling road below us. They provided complimentary tea and coffee in the room along with a mini fridge filled with various items ( drinks, beer, water and chocolates) They provided a safe, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, slippers and robes. It was my sons birthday they day we arrived and they sent a cake to our room:) I had mentioned that in the booking along with a request for a view. Both were obliged :) The breakfast was excellent with a ton of options ( both American and Asian cuisine) There is plenty of seating and great views! The concierge was fantastic! They arranged a riverboat cruise for us and an amazing massage for my mom and I. The spa was great and we had the most relaxing massage. The spa staff was fantastic and so friendly. They even took us in very last minute without issue. Though it is separate from the hotel- they gave a fantastic discount for being a guest there. Our stay was a 10/10 and I would stay here again!!

As a five-star hotel, both the service and facilities are quite good. I've always heard that Westin's family rooms are great, and I got to experience one on this trip to Shanghai. I won't go into detail about the good aspects, but I do have a few suggestions: 1. For a family room, there actually aren't many kids' amenities, just a few stuffed animals. For example, a step stool could be provided in the bathroom for children. 2. The sink in the bathroom constantly accumulates water on the inner side. I'm not sure if it's due to the countertop's angle or something else, but I hope it can be adjusted. 3. The toilet paper holder in the WC is too far inward, making it inconvenient to grab paper. If you pull hard, the roll might fall off. Moving the holder forward, reversing its direction, or moving it to the right side would all be good solutions. Overall, I hope Westin continues to improve as a high-end hotel. I look forward to experiencing it again next time!

Staying at Shangri-La Shanghai was exactly what a city escape should feel like: luxurious without being fussy, courteous without feeling formal. We were on the 25th floor, and the view of the river was the best part of the day — morning light on the Huangpu, the skyline stretching out, and at night the Pearl Tower glowing just down the road. It’s quiet up there, real tranquility despite being so close to all the tourist attractions. The comfort carried through everywhere: the indoor pool and jacuzzi were perfect for unwinding, the gym had everything we needed, and the grand lobby is lined with high-end stores if you feel like browsing. But the thing we’ll remember most is the afternoons — tea time in the lobby with a live folk music performance drifting through the space. It turns the whole lobby into something calm and beautiful. Courteous staff, comfortable rooms, and a location that puts you right in the heart of Shanghai. We’ll be back.

My mother had always wanted to visit the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, and we finally made it! Our whole family, young and old, came along. **Room Experience** We splurged 2200 for a room, which was upgraded to a 2900 Sapphire room (room number 808). It was right in the center of the hotel's curved facade, offering an excellent view! However, the room was very dusty. Dust kept blowing out of the air conditioner, and there were a lot of bugs. The moment we stepped onto the balcony, we saw all sorts of insects, and there was even a dead fly in the sink – quite disgusting. The hotel service was also a bit odd; they put a bottle of shampoo by the sink, and I assumed they mistook it for hand soap. Check-out was at 14:30, which was a nice bonus! **Dining Experience** We ate at three different restaurants over four meals. * **Fisherman's Wharf:** We had lunch here. They only offered set menus, 698 for two people. My husband, our child, and I shared one. It only included salad, soup, steak, and yogurt. The taste was mediocre, definitely not worth the price. It's the kind of place you visit once in a lifetime. It was slightly better than the one at Atlantis. * **The Source All-Day Dining:** We had the dinner buffet, 698 for two people. Children under 120cm were free. Honestly, there wasn't much to eat. My child had some sashimi and a few skewers, while I ended up eating a bowl of blanched greens. It would have been better to order takeout. * The **breakfast buffet** was definitely worth it. They had many live cooking stations: made-to-order omelets, ramen, Jianbing Guozi (savory crepes), and a station for blanched vegetables. * **Cai Feng Lou:** We had lunch here on our second day. There were various awards displayed at the entrance. We ordered a special lobster, cod, and some vegetables. I thought the cod was decent, but overall, the dishes were quite salty. However, this was indeed the best restaurant in the entire hotel. They even gave us a free dessert because they forgot one of our dishes. The bill was over 800 for three people – the best value for money! I also ordered takeout twice! You have to go to the hotel entrance to pick it up yourself, which is very inconvenient! I highly recommend takeout from Songjiang University Town – it's delicious and affordable! **Travel Photography** Booking a session was very difficult. They called me the day before, and the only slot left was Sunday morning at 9 AM. We got three free photos and a video. The shoot lasted 20 minutes, as we had to rush to breakfast. The final photos were good, and the editing was quite exaggerated. No one would guess I weigh 170 pounds! Before, a hotel was just a place to sleep, but this time I discovered that a staycation, just chilling at the hotel, is a truly unique and incredibly comfortable way to recharge. You don't have to venture out; you can completely rejuvenate your mind and body. This hotel is like the Haidilao of hotels – the service is incredibly attentive. I booked all the available wellness classes in advance through the hotel's mini-program, filling my entire day. ******* singing bowl sound therapy, various yoga sessions, breathwork and meditation, body restoration, and different versions of Baduanjin (Eight-Section Brocade) – it was a fully immersive relaxation experience that kept me engaged all day long. Like Haidilao, the hotel staff were exceptionally attentive and caring throughout. They offered constitution tests, chakra assessments, restorative treatments, guided various classes, and even provided travel photography services. Many of these activities are simply unavailable at other hotels, like meditating and doing yoga at sunrise while watching peacocks. After check-in, I received a thermos filled with a wellness drink tailored to my constitution. After happy hour, there was a salad, and a warm, comforting soup was delivered before bed. The next morning, another thermos with a hot drink was waiting outside my door. The self-service breakfast drinks were also delicious, natural, and refreshing; I completely lost interest in milk tea after trying them. The entire hotel exudes a relaxing ambiance. As you step out of the elevator, there's a faint ginger scent. The bedtime fragrance is citrusy, which is incredibly calming, and there are 15 types of pillows to choose from. I especially loved the white noise machine in the room; it has 9 sound effects to choose from, helping me fall asleep quickly, and it also charges my phone. Guests also receive custom clothing and slippers. They resemble chef's uniforms and are exceptionally comfortable. Regardless of age or gender, wearing this outfit to classes, meals, or just strolling around felt completely natural, fostering a relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel, without any sense of formality. No long-distance travel, no crowded attractions – just quietly staying at the hotel allowed me to fully replenish my depleted energy. This niche staycation is truly a wonderful way for modern people to recharge, offering both ease and healing.

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

However, there was a minor lapse when the concierge staff placed my checked luggage on the floor. The hotel's ambiance is fantastic. I requested a high-floor room overlooking Nanjing Road during check-in and was assigned a room on the 7th floor, also facing Nanjing Road, which offered excellent views. Lying in bed at night, I could admire the Nanjing Road nightscape. Perfect! The package also included drinks and snacks at the Cathay Room on the top floor. After discussing with the hotel, we opted to exchange it for a performance at the Jazz Bar. An 80+-year-old jazz band performs there nightly, accompanied by a resident singer. We were given two complimentary drinks – one cocktail and one juice – along with chicken wings and peanuts. Listening to jazz, enjoying a drink, and munching on snacks was pure bliss. The room perfectly blends classic and modern styles, with comprehensive amenities. The bathroom was huge, and there was a walk-in closet and a very large bathtub. The bed was super-sized, with soft and comfortable bedding. The room was spotlessly clean, and the toiletries were all high-quality. Before we returned to the room in the evening, the staff had already prepared it for bedtime. Welcome fruits and exquisite chocolates were also thoughtfully provided in the room. They were so beautiful, I almost didn't want to eat them! The in-room coffee bar offers complimentary coffee, while the mini-bar items are chargeable. After enjoying the jazz, returning to the room for a relaxing shower and a good night's sleep was simply wonderful. So happy! Breakfast was served at the Jasmine Restaurant on the first floor. The East-meets-West buffet offered an incredibly rich selection, with what felt like nearly a hundred different dishes. There was so much food, I almost couldn't try everything. Upon being seated, the server brought a cup of coffee and a pot of tea. In the end, I piled my table high with food and savored each bite. I ate so much I could barely walk out – utterly satisfying! Leaving the hotel, I felt quite reluctant to go.

We booked a suite for our wedding reception to host both sets of parents. When the housekeeping team helped us bring up some of our luggage, they even came along to specifically wish us a happy marriage! I was so touched. Then they adjusted the air conditioning for me because I was decorating and they were worried I'd get hot. They turned it down and even introduced me to the room's mini-bar! Later, they also sent up some fruit for me 😊 It was delicious and so fresh! In the evening, they proactively asked if I wanted turndown service~ The breakfast in the morning was especially good, with seaweed sticky rice cakes, and I even had the Shanghainese specialty 'Shuangdang Soup'! My parents and family all said the dinner banquet was excellent! The seafood received particularly high praise – it was incredibly fresh, the lobster was springy, and the beef cubes were juicy. The two-way roasted suckling pig was also very unique. Everyone in the family was very satisfied, including the wedding cake we ordered at the end; they all said it was better than cakes bought outside. It was a very happy experience.

Our stay at the Grand Hyatt on the Bund was absolutely perfect. The hotel boasts unparalleled views of the Huangpu River, excellent facilities, and convenient transportation. What truly stood out was the service, and I must specifically commend SHU at the front desk. Even during peak check-in time, he handled everything efficiently and promptly. He patiently answered all my questions and even offered thoughtful recommendations for sightseeing and travel. His professional and attentive service made us feel incredibly welcome. This level of detail is a definite bonus and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I came to Shanghai for a boring May Day holiday and booked a Pullman suite. The hotel was very busy, which really tested their reception capacity. Accor Pullman in France is pretty good, with a nice design, and the aromatherapy scent is the same as in Hong Kong. Facilities: Higher floor rooms would be better; try to choose a high-floor room to avoid the smell of mugwort from downstairs. Transportation: Downstairs are Sun & Moon Light, Tianzifang, and the subway, so coming directly is very convenient for city work. 24th Floor Executive Lounge Supreme Experience: The executive lounge is great, with high-altitude views. Dining: Both breakfast and the executive lounge are good, but there are too many foreigners – mostly Koreans and Westerners. The noodle chef even paused for a moment when he heard me speak Chinese, and then switched his language system. Koreans were coolly showing off watermelon, taking five plates at a time.

A delightful experience. The hotel's guide, Eve Xiang, gave a wonderful presentation that captivated all the children. What's truly amazing is how, as soon as you turn off the bustling street into the hotel's entrance, the world instantly becomes quiet. The hotel cleverly avoids the main road's noise, creating a peaceful haven. At night, you fall asleep to this tranquility, and in the morning, you wake up to the sounds of birds and flowers, completely unaware of the city's hustle and bustle. The hotel's beauty lies in its details. It doesn't have the ostentatious grandeur of traditional luxury hotels; at first glance, it might seem a bit understated. But once you stay, you discover that every play of light and shadow changes throughout the day. The focus isn't on accumulating symbols of luxury, but on allowing guests to find peace within the space, perfectly aligning with its positioning: 'luxury is personal.' If you're looking to escape the ordinary and immerse yourself in beautiful surroundings, this is the perfect place.

We booked the Kempinski for Children's Day, hoping to create a wonderful memory for our child. As a popular spot for its 'influencer-worthy' pool, the Kempinski truly lives up to its reputation. It has a distinct beauty both day and night, and I really felt the charm of Shanghai. The driver told me that many people come specifically to take photos of the hotel with the Oriental Pearl Tower – it’s a classic shot. Now for a few minor issues: Our room had a great view (as shown in the picture), but the bathroom felt a bit dated and wasn't ideal. For a bubble bath, the water pressure wasn't strong enough, and the bubbles didn't quite materialize. This is a small point. Also, I found the Black Forest cake to be just average. However, the burger we ordered for in-room dining (Picture 7) was absolutely delicious! It was huge, and I ate the whole thing. It came with truffle mayonnaise, and the patty was firm and juicy – highly, highly recommended! The price was definitely 'Kempinski-level,' but the taste, like private chef quality, was excellent. I asked for an extra children's amenity kit for the room, and they provided a small bag that even included a Children's Day toy (Picture 14). I also bought some ice cream, chocolates, and macarons from the lobby. The ice cream was the best – the strawberry flavor I had even had large pieces of real strawberry, which was a pleasant surprise! Ms. Julia Li was incredibly thoughtful and suggested I place the order through Dianping, showing great consideration for the customer. Big kudos to her! She was the only one who told me this, despite me buying items three times, so a special thank you!

Each staff seemed to acknowledge our existence all throughout the hotel. This made us feel like extremely important people. Our room was absolutely stunning and oh my was the view ever so perfect. Room service was excellent. Their burger was probably the most delicious. We visited amd stayed in many hotels around China and this one definitely left some beautiful memories. Wujiaochang Commercial Area Shanghai|9.08km from downtown
Coming to Shanghai, I specifically chose the Pagoda Hotel (Fudan University, Shanghai Branch) that I've been eyeing for a while. I booked the Deluxe Family Twin Room for four people, and the experience truly exceeded my expectations! First of all, the hotel's location is fantastic! It's right in the Wujiaochang business district and KIC (Knowledge Innovation Community), next to University Road, which has a ton of trendy restaurants and cafes. In the evening, we went to a folk bar nearby, and it was a wonderful experience. It's also super close to Fudan University; we even took a walk on campus in the morning, which was lovely. Back in the room, it was incredibly spacious, absolutely not cramped for a family of four. There were two large beds, plus a tatami mat that could be used for sitting or lying down. We had tea and snacks on it during the day, and there was plenty of space to move around. The smart room control system was so convenient; a simple voice command could open or close the curtains and turn the lights on or off. Through the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, we had an unobstructed view of Wujiaochang's city skyline, which was truly expansive. The hotel's service was also excellent. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the butler even asked about our accommodation preferences in advance. There's also a free self-service late-night snack bar after 9 PM, which was a pleasant surprise! The mini-bar was complimentary, and all the in-room amenities were well-stocked. Plus, food deliveries were brought up by a robot, which was both convenient and private. The hotel also has a gym and a laundry room, which is incredibly thoughtful for families with children, allowing us to wash and dry clothes anytime. Finally, a quick reminder: hotels in Shanghai typically don't proactively provide disposable toothbrushes, but you can always ask the front desk if you need one. However, this is a minor detail, and overall, this Pagoda is definitely worth recommending, especially for family trips – you can't go wrong with it!

When checking out, I needed to go to the North Bund for business and didn't want to come back for my luggage. Unfortunately, when I asked the front desk if they offered a luggage delivery service, they weren't clear and said no. For a major city like Shanghai, there really should be more diverse services to make travel easier for us.

At first, I thought it was a bit far but once I started to explore, I appreciate the location as it is set away from the crowd but very walkable. About 10 mins walk to the LV iconic ship one way, 10mins walk or thereabouts to West Nanjing Rd Butterfly Cremarous in another direction and if you head off in another direction, about 15mins to IAPM mall. The service was great. The girls were helpful with our Taobao packages and also when I wanted to order food delivery. Self washing machine and dryer were easy enough to use. Cleaners really kept the room tidy. Some construction when we were around end of May 2026 but not too bad. As with most places in China, you will have random smokers inside but our room did not smell of smoke so that's a RELIEF! Another minor negative was the bathrobe was in tatters but that was only the 1st day out of 4 nights stay Also at times, food delivery person could deliver to your room even though you need card access. Worth nothing though I haven't felt unsafe. I actually like the room layout, felt spacious and also probably the only hotel where I have watched so many movies.

Our stay at this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, and we are truly happy that we chose to stay here. From the very first moment we arrived, the experience already felt warm and welcoming. We especially want to give a huge thank you to Connor, who made such a strong first impression on us. At first, some of the staff greeted us in Mandarin, but once they realized we were speaking English, Connor immediately approached us with such professionalism, friendliness, and great initiative. He made us feel comfortable right away and handled everything smoothly with genuine hospitality. His attentiveness and positive attitude really stood out throughout our stay. We were also very happy to receive a high-floor room, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The room itself was spacious, clean, modern, and very comfortable. Everything was well-maintained, and you could really feel the quality and attention to detail in both the room design and housekeeping. The bed was comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxing, and overall it was a perfect place to rest after exploring the city. Another lovely surprise was the complimentary treats arranged by Connor, which we truly appreciated. Small gestures like this really make guests feel valued and cared for, and it shows how much effort the hotel puts into customer experience. The breakfast was also one of the highlights of our stay. There were many delicious options, and we especially loved the live station for cicongfan — it was honestly so good and something quite unique compared to typical hotel breakfasts. Everything tasted fresh, and the variety was excellent every morning. Because we enjoyed our stay so much, we eventually decided to extend for a few more nights instead of moving elsewhere. That alone says a lot about how satisfied we were with the hotel, the service, and the overall atmosphere. The location is another big plus. It’s very convenient, and right beside the hotel there are several great local food spots to explore. We especially loved the wonton noodles nearby — definitely one of our favorite meals during the trip. Having good local food within walking distance made the stay even better. The only small suggestion we would give is that some parts of the room could benefit from a more modern renovation and perhaps a fresher fragrance to elevate the luxury feeling even further. The room was still comfortable overall, but with a more updated design and a fresher ambiance, the experience would become even more perfect. Overall, this hotel gave us such a memorable experience thanks to the excellent service, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and strategic location. Special thanks again to Connor for going above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. We would absolutely come back again.

The hotel's location is absolutely perfect. The subway station exit is right outside, and TeeMall and Parc Central are next door. Regarding the room assigned by the front desk – for me, it was a corner room. When I checked in, I specifically told the front desk I didn't want a corner room, and they insisted it wasn't. Later, I discovered it was indeed a corner room. My main dissatisfaction is with the room's cleanliness. Upon entering, I found false eyelashes on the desk and the glass mirror. This is completely unacceptable for a 5-star hotel, which should ensure everything is spotless, not even a speck of dust. I also noticed the white sheer curtain had some minor stains. Basic amenities like razors and mouthwash shouldn't require guests to actively ask housekeeping for them. The cleaning lady even told me, 'We only provide them if a guest requests them.' Seriously? This is a 5-star hotel. Regardless of whether a guest needs them or not, these daily essentials should be readily available in the bathroom. The air conditioning in the room was also quite cold. **The hotel also provides local phone numbers for international guests to place orders conveniently.** My only minor complaint is having to go downstairs to pick up food. The hotel should really consider using robots to deliver food directly to guests' rooms.

This has to be one of the most bizarre nights I've ever had. I was woken up around 2 AM by a foreigner banging on my door, asking for cigarettes. It severely impacted my sleep. I told my friend about it the next day, and they said if it were a woman, she'd have been scared to death and called the police. Also, some of the bath towels in the room felt a bit dirty. The first one had a few yellowish-brown spots that looked like unwashed stains, while the second one was barely clean. Other than that, everything else was pretty standard for this price point – nothing to write home about, but not terrible either. Overall, I think for business trips, it's probably best to avoid places with a lot of foreigners. Many of them have questionable manners, and at the very least, smoking should be prohibited. This is the first time I've had an experience like this, and I can't say I'm satisfied.

We were forced to leave the hotel across the street late at night because our room couldn't keep out swarms of flying ants. Around 10 PM, we quickly rebooked at Bishuiwan and were still impressed after checking in. We could park our car right in front of our room. The hotel front desk noticed we were in a bad mood and that it was late, so they proactively asked if we'd like breakfast delivered to our room on the second and third days. They also immediately arranged for the in-room hot spring tub to be filled. By the time we settled into our room, it was almost 11 PM. After speaking with the front desk, they quickly sent up pre-boiled mugwort satchels for our bath. After soaking, we enjoyed a drink. The hotel not only provided an ice bucket and glasses but also thoughtfully prepared two pitchers of fragrant lemon water to help us sober up. All the staff showed a strong service ethic, proactively anticipating our needs and enhancing our stay. The public areas are lovely. You can step directly from the villa area into various hot spring pools, and it takes about an hour to enjoy them all. When we were tired, we could order room service from the hotel. After eating, we could continue soaking or relaxing with drinks in the room, or go to the main building for some karaoke. It's a great choice for a weekend getaway. Most importantly, the villa was spotless. The hotel promptly enhanced its pest control services, so there were no flying ants, mosquitoes, weeds, or fallen leaves in the room. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

My room was a luxurious suite with private bath tub (around hkd 3000 for two nights including breakfast). Hardware is definitely exceptional. However when it comes to service it is below standard: 1) front desk - service was poor without any greetings such as bell boy. Front desk officers were unhappy without any eye contact when they talk to you. No hospitality at all; 2) breakfast - the quality both food and service were not up to a 4 or 5 star service. Table was not clean, staffs were almost unfriendly, except one female manager and one staff, all staffs were rushing their task and unwelcoming. I believe the hotel management need to motivate their staff ,otherwise, people won’t come again. 3) Amnenties - room is a luxurious suite with private bath tub, massage chair, kitchen , dining table and queen bed. The tub was not very clean, with water splitting . Such a waste as their service was not meeting the standard of what it is expected to be a 5- star resort. (The environment, garden were nicely decorated indeed) The Hot Spring pool is well known but I have’s try so cannot comment. I won’t come to this resort again, if the service of the hotel haven’t improved. And I won’t recommend travelers with kids who is looking for a family friendly and good service resort. Our stay in the triple room at the Guangzhou Biquan Air Hot Spring Hotel was absolutely fantastic! 👍 The room was spacious and bright, with elegant and cozy decor. The three beds were soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a great night's sleep. The room was also equipped with complete and practical facilities, all spotlessly clean. The hotel's hot spring was definitely a highlight, offering a rich variety of pools with perfect water temperatures. Soaking in the hot springs felt like all my fatigue just melted away. The surrounding scenery was beautiful too; it was incredibly relaxing to enjoy the views while soaking. The hotel's service also deserves high praise. The staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help. Whether it was checking in or resolving other issues, they were very efficient. I will definitely choose this place again next time!

I happened to visit during International Women's Day. On March 7th, I even received a carnation from the hotel staff for Girls' Day. However, there didn't seem to be any activities on Women's Day itself, which was a bit disappointing. We usually prefer to book rooms in the main building here because it's been renovated and the room facilities are newer. This time, when we went to the pet feeding area, it felt like they weren't ready for guests; maybe the timing was off. There were no staff members, and we didn't know what to feed the animals with. We could only look and then leave, which diminished the fun. However, the customer service here is still good. Although sometimes the response time was quite slow, there was always a follow-up.

I arrived quite late, hoping for a quiet place to rest, and the front desk staff thoughtfully upgraded me to a suite. Upon entering the room, I found it to be cozy and elegant, with a soft and comfortable bed. The room service was also very prompt. The bathroom facilities were complete, with plenty of hot water, and a hot shower instantly washed away the fatigue of the journey. Moreover, the room had excellent soundproofing, completely blocking out any external noise.

I highly recommend this hotel! The overall experience far exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the service was exceptional. The front desk staff were polite, friendly, and efficient, making every interaction a pleasure. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, featuring a well-maintained gym and a self-service laundry room, which were very convenient for daily use and significantly enhanced my stay. The room was spotless, well-laid out, and spacious, with all amenities functioning perfectly. A delightful surprise was the complimentary two bottles of drinks upon check-in – a truly thoughtful touch. The bed was just right in terms of firmness, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the room was quiet and peaceful, allowing for a wonderfully relaxing stay. Overall, the hardware facilities, service quality, and cleanliness were all top-notch, with attention to detail that really showed genuine care. The location is also very convenient for getting around. Among hotels in the same price range, this one truly stands out, offering a comfortable and hassle-free experience. This stay left a fantastic impression, and I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit. I also highly recommend it to all my friends.

The staff were polite and courteous. The room wasn't very big, but for the price, it was pretty good. It was clean and hygienic, though the facilities felt a bit outdated, like they were from many years ago. However, there were no strange odors in the room. Overall, it was decent for the price. The transportation was very convenient, right on Huanshi East Road. There are also plenty of great food and drink options nearby, all within easy walking distance. Zhixin Middle School, Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, and Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center are all about a ten-minute walk away. It's been years since I last stayed at the Four Seasons, and the service now is genuinely excellent, especially the ladies at the Executive Lounge. I practically devoured two bowls of their Dan Dan noodles at breakfast – the beef sauce was perfectly spicy and flavorful. On the downside, the family room, while pretty to look at, wasn't very practical. The entrance to the slide and the slide itself felt quite hard, even with the curvature. Also, the upper bunk was open-ended, which made me worry my child would fall out, so I had to sleep with him. Considering I booked for three nights, you can imagine that wasn't ideal. Plus, the light for the upper bunk was controlled by the main switch, so I ended up fashioning something to block the light. Despite the shortcomings of the family room, it didn't ruin my overall experience at the Four Seasons this time. My child and I have already decided to book an Executive Room next time so we can continue to indulge in all the delicious food.

Pazhou International Exhibition Center Area Guangzhou|6.03km from downtown
As a photographer, my perception of space often precedes my sense of taste. My stay at the Shangri-La Guangzhou felt more like a visual therapy centered around 'light, water, and order.' It wasn't just a place to rest for a night; it was a process of emotional development. Arrival: Visual 'Noise Reduction' Driving through the traffic of the Pazhou Exhibition Center, the hotel's grand structure unfolded along the river. A photographer's instinct is to seek out 'clean' backgrounds, and the lobby here was my first pleasant surprise—exceptionally high ceilings and impressive depth. There were no superfluous decorations; light streamed through the enormous glass curtain walls, casting long shadows on the floor. While checking in, I instinctively observed the angle of the light and found it to be diffuse, as soft as if it had passed through a softbox, instantly calming my initial anxieties. Room: The Pearl River in My Viewfinder I specifically booked a high-floor Horizon Club River View room. The moment I opened the door, I didn't look at the bed first; instead, I walked straight to the massive floor-to-ceiling window—my natural viewfinder. Composition Elements: In the foreground was the lush greenery of the hotel's 5800㎡ subtropical garden. The mid-ground featured the winding course of the Pearl River, and the background showcased the city's skyline. This layered sense of foreground, mid-ground, and background is a photographer's favorite 'standard composition.' Light's Mood: The 'blue hour' at dusk was the best time for shooting. The lights of cargo ships on the river cut through the water, and the architectural lines of the Pazhou Exhibition Center appeared stark and restrained in the twilight. I set up my tripod and used a long exposure to transform the flowing river water into a silken texture, a healing sensation that concretized time. Gardens: Flowing Vitality As a photographer, I tire of monotonous business aesthetics and crave vitality. The Shangri-La's gardens became my 'outdoor set.' Pool Lines: The 1000㎡ curvilinear outdoor pool, from an aerial perspective, looked like a sapphire embedded in the garden. The loungers by the pool and the reflections of palm trees created a minimalist, geometric tableau. Hidden Spots: The Koi pond and Southeast Asian-inspired vegetation in the garden, with their lighting at dusk, offered beautiful light and shadow play. Here, there was no city clamor, only the rustling of leaves in the breeze. The click of the shutter felt particularly clear at this moment, as if recording a prolonged stillness. Emotional Value: Relaxation Beyond the Shutter A photographer's journey often involves the fatigue of 'rushing between locations,' but here, I let go of the compulsion to 'get the shot.' The Slow Pace of the Executive Lounge: The Horizon Club lounge, located on a high floor, offered an excellent view. During afternoon tea, I put away my wide-angle lens and simply 'shot' the shifting clouds outside with my eyes. The hushed tones of the service staff acted as a kind of background noise reduction, allowing my emotions to completely relax. Evening Introspection: Back in my room, I soaked in the bathtub by the window, gazing at the Pearl River's nightscape. This sense of detachment was incredibly precious—I was both an observer of the city and an享受者 (enjoyer) enveloped by it. The emotional value at this moment wasn't about how many photos I took, but about finally having a moment where I didn't have to see the world through a viewfinder. Summary from a Photographer's Perspective The Shangri-La Guangzhou didn't give me isolated photos, but rather an emotional negative that could be developed. It offered a sense of compositional security with its expansive river views and a visual breathing space with its tranquil gardens. For someone who thinks through a lens, this is a secluded oasis where every spot is a potential shot, without the need to actively seek them out.

The room decor is a bit dated, but it's well-maintained and clean. Parking is shared but there are plenty of spaces, and you can access the hotel lobby directly. A highlight of the hotel's WiFi is that it can bypass the Great Firewall. The breakfast is quite substantial, but the quality is just average for a 5-star hotel; considering the price, it's excellent value for money. The lunch set menu at Ming Court is also great value for money, both in terms of price and quality.

During this stay, I primarily interacted with the housekeeping staff. First off, the concierge team was the most disappointing. Over my two-day stay, only two employees greeted me. One who left a good impression was a gentleman with glasses and some gray hair; he made eye contact, smiled, and offered a greeting. He was the only concierge I felt met Ritz standards. The others standing at the entrance seemed a bit unprofessional; when I asked about picking up takeout, they'd use 'you' instead of a more respectful address, and they wouldn't greet me even when we passed by each other face-to-face. Now, about the guest room. The housekeeping staff provided excellent service; items I requested were delivered promptly. Their service was much better than the front office. However, the cleanliness of the room itself was a real issue. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that both beds looked like steamed buns, oddly shaped. Neither of the two mouthwash cups was clean; one had a water stain ring around the rim and lots of white fuzz inside, which looked more like towel lint than cup cloth. You might want to ask how many cup cloths housekeeping staff are given per day and retrain them on how to clean and inspect cups. (I also wonder if you require them to use a sanitizing room to clean cups?) There were many water spots on the trash can in the toilet area; I looked around and there was no faucet nearby, so you can imagine where those came from. Then, on the bedroom TV and picture frame, one touch revealed a layer of dust. I only touched the first picture frame, leaving the other two for the executive housekeeper; when you check them, please also look at the dust on the light bulbs. The lid of the ice bucket box was unglued inside. I looked at the sliding door on the right side of the TV cabinet and realized the glue was stuck there. I wanted to help reattach it, but the double-sided tape had lost its stickiness over time. Please re-glue it yourselves. For the slippers, one was tucked over the other, and the bottom one was covered by paper, making me think there was only one initially. Who set this standard? It’s 'great'! The used coffee capsule tray had coffee stains. The coffee capsule box was peeling paint due to age. I suggest the hotel buy some paint and have the engineering department touch it up; it won't cost much, and management should approve it. If they don't, then it's not your problem anymore, right? I didn't examine the room in great detail, just a general look. I called the operator three times. The first two times were great; they answered within three rings and addressed me by my last name. The third time, it was clear they were busy; they didn't address me by my last name, and the wait time was a bit longer, likely because they had just finished another call, which is understandable. I hope the above feedback can be helpful to the hotel, as the Ritz is, after all, a brand.

I chose this hotel because it was close to where I needed to be for my business trip, and also conveniently near Guangzhou East. When checking in, the front desk staff were very attentive, asking about my preferences and offering two room options: one facing the sun but potentially noisy due to the high-speed rail, and another that was less sunny but quiet. I opted for the quiet side, and the lovely front desk staff even upgraded my room. It was centrally located and actually got plenty of sunlight, not dark as I had imagined. Both the housekeeping and front desk staff always greeted me with a smile when I entered or exited the elevator, which was a nice touch. You need to use your key card to access the elevator, and there's free parking, so it's quite a good value overall. The room itself was standard, not brand new, but clean and well-maintained. Just a heads-up: there's a small, raised nail where the carpet meets the wooden floor. I wasn't wearing shoes when I checked in and scraped my foot on it.

This is our third year booking this hotel apartment. We book the same room type every year because it's spacious enough for our three large suitcases. This time, however, we were inexplicably assigned a super small suite. When we spoke to the hotel, we were told all suites of that type were the same, even though Ctrip listed the room size as 58 square meters. They claimed they 'sell them interchangeably'. We asked for the room type we always stay in, but were told it was unavailable. However, after complaining to Ctrip, the hotel miraculously found an available room for us. I've attached the floor plan for our level, which includes room sizes. According to this plan, the first room we got was only 50 square meters, and even the slightly larger one we switched to was just over 54 square meters – nowhere near the 58 square meters the hotel advertises on Ctrip. This hotel is engaging in false advertising. Furthermore, we stayed on a non-smoking floor, but many guests on that floor were smoking. The smoke even seeped into our room through the air conditioning system, yet the hotel's smoke alarms didn't react at all. Every morning, when the cleaning staff opened other room doors to tidy up, the entire floor was filled with a strong smell of smoke. Is your hotel's non-smoking floor just for show? Over the years, the hotel apartment's facilities have visibly aged, and many areas are poorly maintained. Housekeeping is also subpar, with many neglected spots, especially in the bathrooms. All in all, we were very disappointed with this hotel apartment after this stay. Its service quality has significantly declined. If there are no improvements, we likely won't choose this place again in the future.

Shenzhen Nanao | Stay in a French Garden and Watch the Sea 🌅 Mello is absolutely stunning! Found a French Riviera-inspired B&B in Shenzhen 🏡 Mello truly has romance etched into its soul. White walls + French courtyard + endless sea views – every shot looks like it's straight out of a movie 🎬. The housekeeper even provided thoughtful sleep eye masks 💤. Open the window to a sunset over the orange sea 🌇. Sunlight streams into the room, making even the air feel gentle. The courtyard is fragrant with lemon trees and passion fruit, and you can spend an entire afternoon on the swing. A cocktail and a tipsy view of the sea are so therapeutic. Just a few minutes' walk to the beach 🏖️. It's uncrowded with clear water, super comfortable for walking on the sand and watching the waves. The room is clean and comfortable, and the bedding is so soft you won't want to get up ✨. 📍 Mello B&B (Jidiaosha Store) No. 81 Dongshan Village, Dongshan Community, Nanao, Longgang, Shenzhen #ShenzhenB&B #ShenzhenSeasideB&B #NanaoB&B #FrenchStyleB&B #ShenzhenWeekendGetaway #ShenzhenExplore #SeasideResort #HealingB&B

Two adults and one child. The room size was very satisfactory, and we could even make tea. The environment was clean, new, and quiet. There was a complimentary sweet soup in the evening and breakfast in the morning. They paid attention to details, with an online concierge before and after check-in. We had a very comfortable stay. Hotel environment: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5 Hotel facilities: 5/5 Breakfast: Didn't get to try it as I overslept. Night shift assistant manager's service attitude: 0/5 Last night, something unexpected happened. We checked in at 4 AM, and around 5 AM, the turndown service staff, after ringing the doorbell with no response, swiped their card and opened the door. This startled my girlfriend, who was sound asleep, as she thought I had returned. After we checked in, she fell fast asleep. I quietly went downstairs to the bar for a drink. Then, I suddenly received a message saying someone had opened the door and entered, thinking it was me returning. I immediately rushed back upstairs to check. I believe the room service attendant was just following procedure, so I don't fault them. However, the professionalism and attitude of the night shift assistant manager were truly disappointing. I frequently stay in hotels, so I know to put out the 'Do Not Disturb' sign. But I never imagined that after checking in at 4 AM, someone would swipe into the room for turndown service barely an hour later. I've stayed in five-star hotels for decades and have never encountered such unprofessionalism – assuming a recently checked-in guest isn't in the room. Anyway, she really liked the two complimentary cups they sent afterward, so I won't give you a one-star review. I'll give you five stars, hoping you can be as good as Four Seasons worldwide. Please ask guests if they need turndown service before they check in. I hope to see an improvement next time I visit.

Overall, my experience was pretty good. The room was very clean; the tables, chairs, and bed were all neat and tidy, ensuring a solid basic stay. The room amenities were complete and easy to use, and the soundproofing was decent, so I wasn't easily disturbed by outside noise while resting. The only minor drawback was that the room layout felt a bit cramped, and with the dimmer indoor lighting, it could feel a little oppressive if you stayed for a long time. The hotel's location is excellent for transportation, making it convenient and hassle-free to get around. I didn't try the hotel's dining services this time, so setting aside the food, the overall stay was steady and the value for money met my expectations.

The hotel service was excellent. Before I even arrived, Candie called to ask about my arrival time and room preferences, and even arranged afternoon tea. The room was great, with a powerful air conditioner that kept the temperature just right, making it comfortable for both relaxing and sleeping. I extended my stay for an extra night, which was a seamless process. The surrounding area is a shopping and tourist district, very close to Vientiane and Talent Plaza. It was wonderful to wake up early and explore the city on a shared bike. The hotel also has many charging stations; charging before 8 AM is very cost-effective, even cheaper than riding a shared bike if you have a car.

We had a very good stay at Sheraton Shenzhen Futian Hotel and would definitely come back again. The service throughout the stay was excellent, and the staff really did their best to make us comfortable. A special thanks to the reception team for helping us with a late check-out since our flight was very late at night. That made a huge difference for us and was greatly appreciated. The concierge team was also very helpful with directions, recommendations, transportation, and even helping us with our orders. Communication was easy, and everyone was very professional and welcoming. The location of the hotel is amazing. It is directly connected to a mall, which made everything very convenient. We had easy access to shopping, restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and everything we needed during our stay. One of the highlights for us was the lounge access on the 24th floor. The happy hour was really enjoyable, and we spent a lot of time there relaxing, admiring the beautiful city view, and enjoying the atmosphere. It became one of our favorite parts of the hotel experience. The breakfast was also very cozy and pleasant because it was not overcrowded. We could actually relax, take our time eating, and enjoy the view peacefully, which made the mornings feel very comfortable. The hotel itself is very large and spacious. While the rooms are a little older in style, they are very comfortable and generously sized, which is actually something we appreciated. Sometimes older hotels offer much more space and comfort compared to newer properties. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. The combination of the excellent service, spacious rooms, lounge access, and perfect location made this a very enjoyable experience, and we would happily stay here again on our next trip to Shenzhen.

I checked in late, after a concert, and even for a short stay, it was a good experience! The room had a great view, and I could even watch planes take off and land during the day! The best part was direct access to the terminal, which saved me a lot of hassle for my morning flight. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, especially the steamed chicken feet. However, when I went back for more, the chef at the station said they were out and was very grumpy about it. While this minor flaw was annoying, I can overlook it and it doesn't stop me from giving 5 stars, but others might not be so forgiving. I hope they improve this aspect! The hotel's location is superb, right by the sea and close to a shopping area. The surroundings are beautiful, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. Taking a stroll along the beach in the evening, with the sea breeze, is incredibly relaxing! I initially booked a room in the South Wing, but upon arrival, the room wasn't ready yet. I promptly requested a switch to the North Wing. The room size was just right, the bedding was comfortable, and there was a beautiful sea view from the window. The breakfast was plentiful and tasted good. The pool was a bit disappointing. It was only about 0.8-1 meter deep, making it suitable mainly for younger children. The water quality also wasn't great; there were quite a few fallen leaves floating around, and no one was clearing them out!

I don’t usually write long reviews, but the St. Regis Shenzhen really impressed me. Let’s start with the service – because wow. From the moment I walked in, the reception girls were absolutely perfect. Warm, professional, and so attentive without being overbearing. They remembered little details, made check-in seamless, and genuinely seemed to care about making my stay special. Honestly, they set the tone for the whole trip. The room? Incredible. Spacious, elegant, super comfortable bed, and every little amenity you could think of. But the real showstopper was the view – floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Shenzhen skyline. I must have just stood there for ten minutes taking it all in. Breakfast was delicious too – great mix of Western and local options, everything fresh, and the service at breakfast was just as polished as the front desk. If you’re looking for a hotel that nails the luxury basics and goes the extra mile with genuine, thoughtful service, this is it. I’ll definitely be back.

Typical Hyatt standard. The front desk was great and gave us a free upgrade. The mountain and river views are uniquely beautiful, even on a cloudy day. What's particularly good is that the hotel lobby connects directly to a mall, so you can eat, drink, and have fun without stepping outside in the rain. However, aside from that, there was no butler service, turn-down service, or welcome fruit. The TV couldn't cast to, and among the five-star hotels I've stayed in, the service was quite average. Coupled with the inflated price during the Qingming holiday, the value for money was really just okay.

This trip was incredibly enjoyable, and a huge part of that pleasure came from the outstanding service provided by Xiao Qiao and the other staff members at the hotel. Xiao Qiao proactively upgraded our room. Later, a family member accidentally broke a glass in the room. We felt very apologetic and uneasy at the time. Xiao Qiao reported it to her superior, and not only did they not ask for any compensation, but they also offered us warm comfort and genuine care, which deeply touched us. Furthermore, during our stay, whenever we ordered takeout or needed anything related to our room, Xiao Qiao was always able to resolve our issues promptly and efficiently. As we were leaving, the staff even presented us with local specialties as a kind gesture. The location alone makes this place worth booking -- walkable to nearly everything, which is rare and genuinely valuable The room had a few surprises compared to the listing photos, including carpet rather than the hard floors shown, and a smaller window than expected. For guests with sensitivities, worth noting ahead of time. The room ran a little dark, but the quiet of a high floor at the end of the hall more than made up for it. Bathroom is functional with standard toiletries. Would love to see better ventilation and a bidet added in a future update -- we are in Asia after all. Wi-Fi was inconsistent during my stay, which was the one real frustration. The wins were real though: guest-controlled AC (a genuine rarity in China), a comfortable bed, impressively soft towels, linen slippers, a proper tea set, and an air purifier. As an English-speaking guest I appreciated the card with key hotel information in English and the one English news channel -- small gestures that meant a lot after weeks without hearing the language. The Blue Mountain instant coffee was a welcome touch. Housekeeping leaves a daily note with who cleaned and the next day's weather -- small detail, big impression. My housekeeper was especially warm during a stretch when I wasn't feeling well. The front desk and reception staff were consistently kind throughout my stay. Solid stay with a location that's hard to beat.

Inside the hotel, the room was quite small (not much space to move around besides the bed), and the facilities were outdated (the drain clogged easily). The lobby area was a good communal space for eating takeout, which somewhat compensated for the small room. The bed was comfortable, which is really important for a 'special forces' tourist in Xi'an (meaning someone who packs a lot of sightseeing into their day). The hotel was generally quiet at night. Service was good; the front desk staff and housekeeping on the floors were always responsive to requests. Breakfast offered a decent variety. Outside, the location is very convenient, making it easy to get around. There are many photo opportunities and good food options nearby. If you're a 'special forces' tourist in Xi'an (typically out by 9 AM and back by 10 PM) and don't mind a small room, this could be a suitable choice.

Stayed as a family with two rooms. Room was decent size, with daily cleaning. Laundry room with two washing machines and two dryers were helpful but had to queue and even put up with rude queue-cutters on days that hotel has group bookings (sudden surge of patrons). Hotel staff were polite. We were delighted by the snacks available during day time, and supper which are usually healthy porridge or soup. Loved the hot tea, free flow, at the lobby too! Breakfast spread is good with a bar that prepares hot dishes such as soup noodles; and most days not difficult to get seats. Interestingly there isnt a restaurant on-site the hotel - the F&B space functions for breakfast only. Location is a bit far from nearest subway (about 15min walk) which was a dampening factor especially as we have elderly in their 70s. Nestled amongst commercial buildings, state building and school also mean there aren’t shops, stalls or food outlets nearby. Anyone who prefers a more “off-radar” hotel would appreciate this location more.

Love love love this hotel!!! I stayed with my friend in a 2 bed 2 bath room for 8 nights and it was extremely spacious and comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the beds super super super comfy ( I could sleep it in all day but my itinerary was super full). The photos online are quite true to the actual room. They had extremely good service too, starting from the airport pickup, where they were on time and the car was spacious and luxurious! We did the 5 seater sedan at RMB100, the price is comparable to a didi premium but the difference is that they would track your flight and made sure to you were taken care of. The hotel even had Butler service and was very attentive, I could even get them to help store my friend's birthday cake sent from the local cake shop and send it up to us when we were back. The laundry service was handy for a long stay, it was easy to use (and we were on the same floor so it felt like home to just go to and from our room to the laundry room). They even had special prices for popular shows, easily saving more than 50% of the listed price. Thanks for being a home away from home! PS the cats on the 2nd floor is super cute!

The location is excellent, right within the scenic area, allowing us to re-enter Changqing Palace daily. It's also very close to the 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow' performance, and the hotel can even help with booking tickets. On our first day, the staff disinfected the room right in front of us. They even filled the hot spring bath for us around 7 PM and drained it after we finished. Plus, they served a delicious white fungus soup in the evening. My child absolutely loved our two nights here and found it very comfortable. I'll definitely return when my child is a bit older, perhaps in winter, to experience Changqing Palace in a different light. By then, my child should also be able to appreciate the 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow.' (Attached is a photo of the small cake my child made with the hotel staff's guidance).

Five stars, highly recommended! The environment is elegant and tranquil, surrounded by lush greenery, providing great privacy. The natural hot spring water is wonderfully soothing; after a soak, I felt completely relaxed and refreshed. The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable bedding. Lydia's service was warm and attentive, making check-in efficient and thoughtful. The breakfast selection was rich and diverse, making the whole experience fantastic. This is definitely my top choice for a hot spring getaway, and I'll be back for sure!

Very good environment, close to nature. Came in autumn when it is rainy and cooling. Opened the door to let cool air in as it is better than the AC. However, bring closer to nature, there are more bugs/mosquitoes. Location is very peaceful, away from all the hustle and bustle. Doesnt have many choices of food nearby. Overall, good escape from the city.

I brought my little one to Xi'an for a trip. We visited the Terracotta Army, Shaanxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Bell and Drum Towers, Xi'an City Wall, and the Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City, among other places. We stayed at this hotel for all five days. The hotel's location in the old city is excellent, making it convenient to get to all the attractions. There are also many Xi'an specialty snack shops nearby, so dining out was easy. As an established five-star hotel, both the facilities and service were top-notch. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, and the heated pool was lovely!

Facilities: Good Cleanliness: Spotless Environment: Excellent Service: Attentive This garden-style Western classical old building is steeped in history, offering a quiet retreat in the midst of a bustling area with convenient transportation. The breakfast is abundant, and there's a restaurant nearby, especially the Japanese buffet, which is definitely worth trying – great value for money.

The hotel is located right in the center of Xi’an and offers an excellent location for visiting the famous Bell Tower and strolling through the surrounding streets. The area has a particularly pleasant atmosphere at night, with many shops and restaurants that make the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel staff were extremely kind and attentive at all times, helping us with every question we had during our stay. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and in excellent condition. As a small personal remark, I found the bed a little firm, although this ultimately depends on individual preference. Without a doubt, a highly recommended hotel.

I visited during the Chinese New Year and found the location to be excellent – very close to Xi'an Station but not noisy at all. The hotel breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, and adding an extra person was also very reasonably priced. **Facilities:** The facilities are top-notch. Everything from the lobby to the elevators and rooms feels spacious and grand. **Environment:** The surroundings are beautiful. **Service:** The service was good, especially the concierge who went above and beyond helping us with our deliveries and pick-ups.

Lijaicun Saige Computer Mall Xi'an|4.43km from downtown
A comfortable older hotel on a human scale with a very pleasant ambience. It is my favourite hotel to stay in Xi'an. Pluses are the excellent breakfast choice, the professionalism of the staff, a refined choice of art on the walls, good beds and a fairly serene atmosphere with a lake with golden carp and buildings covered in ivy. The only real negative I could think of is that its not in the centre of Xi'an or by a major mall but there is a metro station directly outside with fast links to most places you would want to go. Also taxis are easy to get either at the hotel or at the main entrance. Considering the price Xi'an Jianguo is a really excellent choice for all types of travellers.

Randomly picked this Marriott for a business trip, and it's quite close to Tumeng Station on Line 8. The front desk staff proactively introduced the surrounding area, and the 'liangpi' (cold noodles) place they recommended was delicious. The hotel has three smart robots, making it super convenient for food delivery right to your room.

This hotel is said to be the only one of its kind in Xi'an, and one of only two in Asia. I decided to give it a try for one night, and overall, I had a good experience. First, the environment: it's located in the former People's Mansion, within its own large courtyard, providing a quiet retreat from the bustling city. There's even a fountain downstairs. The hotel's designer is Chinese, but it boasts a French style. It was originally built during the Soviet aid era to host Soviet experts, so it likely incorporates elements from Chinese, French, and Russian cultures. About 90% of the guests are foreigners, possibly French, though I couldn't really tell. The room decor is quite elegant, not modern. The facilities and amenities are good, but some furniture and the floor show obvious signs of wear. The staff are all young and provide excellent, smiling service. Breakfast was just so-so; it seems more geared towards foreigners. For Chinese guests, the variety is quite limited, and it pales in comparison to the breakfasts at InterContinental, Four Seasons, and especially the Ritz-Carlton. But then again, each hotel has its own unique characteristics. All in all, it's a hotel worth staying at!

For the May Day holiday, I wanted to avoid long travel since it would be crowded, so I decided to stay in Xi'an and explore the city's food scene. We chose the Grand Hyatt, and it was a fantastic experience; the hotel's design is incredibly tasteful. It's also conveniently located directly across from MixC World, making dining and transportation a breeze. However, what truly touched me was the service here. I especially want to commend Judy at the front desk! From the moment we checked in, she was patient and thorough. I mentioned that my child is a bit older and I was concerned about space, and Judy not only thoughtfully noted our request, but when we got to the room, the sofa bed was already neatly made up, and extra blankets and pillows were provided. She even specially arranged a complimentary breakfast for my child. She also thoughtfully registered our car plate for extended use, so we don't have to inform the concierge every time we leave – truly considerate. This kind of attentive, 'can-do' service really makes parents traveling with children feel incredibly welcome and at ease. All in all, the Grand Hyatt Xi'an not only boasts impressive aesthetics, but more importantly, it has staff like Judy who genuinely prioritize guests' needs. This will definitely be our first choice next time we visit Xi'an.

The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a very peaceful sleep. The breakfast had a wide variety of fresh options. My child was taking the Gaokao (college entrance exam), and the testing center was near the hotel. What really touched me was that the hotel staff, Mio, knowing we had a Gaokao candidate, arranged a particularly quiet room for us, complete with a garden. They even prepared a Gaokao good luck photo frame 🖼️ and a greeting card, and specifically set up a 'do not disturb' service. The front desk was also excellent; they promptly helped my child print revision materials! Many thanks! 🙏

The location is fantastic! It's right in the bustling downtown area, but set back from the main road, which is a huge plus because it's incredibly quiet for sleeping. Getting around, finding food, and transportation are all super convenient. The Bell Tower is less than a ten-minute walk away, and there are tons of local snack spots nearby. The subway and bus are easily accessible. The staff are warm, welcoming, and very attentive, making for a truly comfortable stay. The hotel's cleanliness is also excellent – highly recommend!

Location is excellent, right Xiaozhai metro station in lively part of Xi'an. But back form the street, so quiet. The rooms were great, staff very friendly, breakfast small but fine, self-serve laundry which only took 20 minutes. Would definitely stay here again. 谢谢你们!

Right across from the Drum Tower, the location is excellent. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and bright, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The staff cleaned punctually every day. When checking out, the front desk lady even asked if I needed two bottles of warm mineral water, which was very thoughtful. The only minor drawback is that the room isn't soundproof. However, I still love staying at Ji Hotel; I like its layout, the small tea table, and the black tea is good too.

The hotel looks very modern. The breakfast is served on a terrace with a splendid view of the city walls. The room was very functional, it was easy to unpack. There were absolutely no noises from the street. The sound isolation from other rooms was pretty good. The staff was extremely helpful. There was a wide choice of both Western and Chinese food for breakfast. I recommend the place to everyone.

Datang West Market/West Xi'an Xi'an|3.84km from downtown
Service: Every lady at the front desk was kind and extremely attentive. We checked out a bit late, and they extended our checkout time to 3 PM, which was really thoughtful. The staff even helped us with our luggage to the car and offered us drinks. Cleanliness: The room was tidy and comfortable, and the bedding and bath amenities were very clean. However, the pillows had a slight odor of hair oil. Environment: The surrounding area has convenient transportation. The Xigong University subway station is just a few minutes' walk away, including a pedestrian overpass. There are also street food vendors just a few steps away. My only complaint is that Xi'an surprisingly doesn't have shared e-bikes, only shared bicycles. Riding a bicycle to tourist attractions will make you question your life choices. I recommend taking a taxi or, if you're looking for a more affordable option, combining it with subway transfers.
