Station square

The station square is an integral part of China train stations, serving as the first point of contact for passengers arriving at or departing from the station. This square is the main entrance to facilitate smooth transitions between buses, metro, taxis and the train station.

Entrance and security check

The primary entry point for passengers often marked with large signs and located in front of the station. All passengers must pass through security screening, which includes X-ray machines for baggage and metal detectors for personal items.

Waiting and ticketing area

Staffed counters where passengers can buy, change, or refund tickets. Or there are automatic ticket machine for ticket redeeming.

The waiting area includes large seating areas, divided into sections based on ticket class and destination. These areas are equipped with electronic information boards displaying train schedules. For first-class and business-class passengers, VIP lounge offers more premium services.

Platform access

You have to pass the automated or staffed gates by scanning tickets to gain access to the platforms. Then follow the sign to the platform. Platforms are clearly marked with train numbers and destinations to the correct boarding area.

After disembarking, passengers pass through the gates, often requiring a ticket scan to exit. There are areas where arriving passengers gather, and clear signs to transform to metro, bus, or taxis. Offers superb services and is attentive to its guest which lives up to its name as a Japanese styled hotel. During period of stay, the gym and pool are down - hotel manager has kindly explained the situation and helped to arrange alternative services to make up for the experience (e.g., arranging breakfast box for us since we are leaving the hotel early in the morning) which is commendable. I personally like their Taobao collection service because they will arrange everything nicely if parcels reach hotel ahead of time and get guest to sign off to confirm quantity (instead of some hotels which require you to provide delivery codes which can be cumbersome for large quantities of parcel). The staff were also attentive and offers great help and services for all the questions we had, which is perfect for first time family travellers. Location is also good (within second circle of Beijing) and walking distance to train. Good food options nearby the hotel as well, and for travellers who are lazy to get out, couple of good restaurants availability. Connecting path from hotel back door to Lawson and a Japanese bakery as well. If you prefer Beijing famous 紫光园, just cross the road from Lawson (good for breakfast and dinner/Peking duck). Grab the map that concierge prepares when you reach the hotel :) Facilities wise, I personally like the spacious room set up and the card on the table which states clearly what are available for guests (including curlers, mirrors, steam iron), good for business travels. Can tell the hotel does have some age, but for the price point, it is acceptable since they do clean it well. Especially good that the housekeepers do room tour every night to ask guest if water/amenities needs to be replenished. Really enjoyed the experience! I will recommend to those who values service and convenience, especially families with elderly and kids.

Tian'Anmen Square and Wangfujing Area Beijing|0.31km from downtown
I really hit the jackpot choosing this hotel for my autumn trip to Beijing. When you're here for the fall foliage, you want to be living in the middle of it, and this hotel's window views are just incredible – definitely worth the hype for Instagram. Lots of people come here just to take photos, and the great thing about staying at the hotel is you can avoid the crowds. The location is fantastic. It's about a 10-minute walk to Tiananmen Gate 4, which makes catching the flag-raising ceremony and exploring the square's attractions super convenient. I was in Beijing for 3 days and visited Tiananmen Square twice, getting through security very quickly both times. It seems Gate 4 has fewer people. There's also a bus stop right next to the hotel, making public transport very easy. The subway stations for various lines are about a ten-minute walk away, which is perfectly acceptable for someone who enjoys walking like me. I'm not too picky about cleanliness; as long as it's presentable enough to sleep in, I'm fine, and I bring a lot of my own stuff anyway. So, broadly speaking, I didn't notice any issues, and I didn't pay attention to the small details. But since the hotel has been around for so long, I'm sure it's up to standard. The overall decor is a bit old-fashioned, but it has everything you need. I particularly loved the large bathtub; coming back from the cold wind outside with a foggy head, a bath really clears everything up. The front desk staff were also quite friendly. The only thing is, it's a very popular hotel, and it was fully booked when I arrived, so I had to wait until after 2 PM to check in. Thankfully, I could leave my luggage in the lobby, so I dropped my bags and went straight out to explore without any delay to my plans. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the hotel, and I'll definitely stay here again next year when I come to Beijing for the autumn leaves.

The service was a bit inconsistent, but I have to say, they really delivered on my request for a room with a better view when I booked in advance, which is a big plus. The most bizarre thing, though, is that you have to pick up your own food deliveries; staff can't do it for you, and there are no robots either. As for the facilities, well, they're quite old-fashioned.

The Grand Millennium Beijing has an excellent location with convenient transportation, and my stay was very satisfying. The lobby is elegant, and check-in was efficient and quick. The room was spacious and comfortable, clean and bright, with soft bedding that ensured a good night's sleep. The service staff were warm and professional, responding quickly to requests, which made me feel well taken care of. Breakfast was rich and varied, offering a comprehensive mix of Chinese and Western options, all of high quality. Overall, it offers great value for money and is an ideal choice for both business and leisure travel.

Tian'Anmen Square and Wangfujing Area Beijing|1.25km from downtown
Excellent location - 1min from Beijing apm and main Wangfujing street. Lots of food around the vicinity but you got to explore a little bit. I booked a Deluxe Twin Room. It was super spacious. Automated toilet seat(open/close) with bidet. Nice bathtub though I did not use it, since it's a hassle to open/close the open concept kind of toilet/bathroom. Breakfast spread was decent but I personally think there could have been more variety. There's a few live station such as the zhajiangmien and omelette station. It was nice. A little more improvement could be made as I noticed the chef not wearing gloves. I do not mind but I just thought a 5 star hotel chef would be wearing gloves. No complains though. Reception staff was very courteous, greeting you whenever they see you. Excellent service. Cons - I think the lobby is way too small for a 5 star hotel like Hilton. There are only 2 seats and a long sofa which can sit up to 5 pax(maybe?). There are always guests around, so usually, I would have no place to sit. Though it's not an issue for me, I thought those elderly might need them. I walked around Wangfujing and noticed neighbouring hotels such as Regent, Novotel(4-star) has very huge lobby. But it is what it is. Overall - Nice place, great service staff and spacious room. Breakfast spread could be better and open concept bathroom can be automated such that it is easy for people to close the doors. Lobby size is a big minus. Loved the free toiletries/amenities next to reception area. Face oil, cleanser, toner & cream from DHC brand

The hotel is located right in front of the ChongWenMen Subway Station, making our stay in beijing very convenient. At the same time their receptionist are also hospitable and helped us to store our luggages multiple times even after we have checked out so we can explore our last day in Beijing without having to drag the luggages! Their rooms looks a bit dated because this hotel has been around for a long time, but it’s kept very clean and comfortable.

We were travelling with our elderly parents, one of the main considerations are convenient location within walking distance to foods/shoppings as well as good value, Sunworld Hotel did not disappoint on all counts. wangfujin pedestrian shopping ***** is a short stroll away. There is a decent gym with dumbell (up tp 25 kg), strength training machine and a treadmill. A free laundry with dryer and complimentary laundry detergent is also very convenient. I will bring less clohes for extra shopping space next time .. I will be back .. thank you Sunworld Hotel

Tian'Anmen Square and Wangfujing Area Beijing|1.25km from downtown
This was my second trip to Beijing in mid-to-late October, and I chose to stay at the same hotel I did years ago, which added a nice sense of familiarity to revisiting the city. The most appealing aspect is the hotel's central location in Wangfujing. The interior environment is still quite good; whenever you return, you can enjoy a hot tea in the lobby to ward off the early winter chill. I didn't get the 'Jiangnan' room, so I opted for a premium room with a bathtub. Although I don't usually take baths, the room felt much more spacious, and having a window for ventilation was convenient for temperature control. The cleaning lady was very outgoing and easy to communicate with; she replenished the water daily, and tea bags and soft drinks were refilled the next day after use. For small items I needed temporarily, I could provide a list on WeChat mini-program, and a robot would deliver them, which is perfect for introverted travelers. However, since there's only one elevator and one robot, food deliveries might be a bit delayed during peak hours, but calling for human service is a warm touch. When checking out on the morning of October 26th, the front desk attendant was very gentle, asked for detailed feedback, and even gave a small gift, which brought a perfect end to my trip. Sorry I promised to leave a review but only had time to write a few words today (๑• . •๑). Finally, I suggest the hotel updates the in-room TVs when appropriate; not being able to easily cast content feels a bit outdated.

I really have to leave a review. I've been to Beijing many times, and this stay was incredibly satisfying. The price was reasonable too. I absolutely loved the room, even though it only had two chairs instead of the three-seater sofa I prefer. It's about a ten-minute bike ride to Tiananmen Square, or five to six minutes if you're not with kids. Nanluoguxiang is a twenty-minute subway ride away, and the hotel is just a three-minute walk to the subway station. The 5th floor of the hotel has a New World department store, and there's also a mall downstairs. Plus, there's the famous Fangzhuan Factory Zhajiangmian nearby, making shopping super convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Beijing.

This is an older hotel with many international guests. The location is excellent, especially for seeing Mayday. It's super convenient to take the subway to the Bird's Nest. The area around the hotel is very lively. My only minor gripe is the lack of robot room service, but everything else was really good.

Check-in was a bit chaotic as there was some confusion regarding my booking of two rooms, which led to a need for two keys. This was somewhat frustrating. However, the hotel itself was immaculate and very clean! I was impressed with the standard of the rooms, and the facilities were excellent. The pool was pristine, and the gym amenities were fantastic. The hotel matched the photos perfectly, and we had a lovely stay overall. For breakfast, we ordered room service. One room’s breakfast was satisfactory, but the other ordered two waffles and received pancakes instead. We brought this up at checkout, but the same lady who checked us in didn’t seem interested in addressing the issue and charged us the full amount despite their mistake.

Staying at the Regent Beijing was definitely a highlight of my trip. The hotel's location on Jinbao Street is unbeatable, just a short walk to the Forbidden City, and very close to Dengshikou Station on Metro Line 5. It's incredibly convenient for exploring historical sites or shopping at Wangfujing – truly a perfect location! The views from the high-floor rooms were absolutely stunning. The floor-to-ceiling windows framed the Forbidden City's red walls and golden roofs like a natural painting. The imperial charm of the city at dawn and dusk was simply captivating. The room decor beautifully blends traditional Chinese elegance with modern comfort, featuring warm wooden furniture and a marble bathroom. Every detail exuded quality, and the complimentary first-round minibar and laundry service were thoughtful touches. The service truly made us feel welcome. The experience consultant, who we communicated with in advance, not only reserved a restaurant table but also arranged welcome desserts and champagne in our room. When we called late at night to request an extra bed, it arrived within minutes. Even toiletries we accidentally left behind were safely kept for us. This level of attentiveness far exceeded our expectations. The dining experience was equally impressive. The steaks at the Italian steakhouse on the second floor were perfectly seared and juicy. The 'East of the Forbidden City' themed afternoon tea transformed elements like dragon patterns and blue-and-white porcelain into exquisite pastries. Enjoying them with the sunlight streaming through the windows was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The hotel perfectly combines the heritage of a long-standing luxury brand with thoughtful service. It's undoubtedly a top choice for accommodation in Beijing.

This time, I brought my child to the hotel. I'd inquired beforehand and knew they couldn't provide a crib, so I made do by pushing the sofa and bed together to create a safe sleeping space. The hotel's service attitude was good, and the room was very spacious. I tried out the pool in the morning; it's connected to the gym. Among the many luxury hotels in Beijing, The Peninsula Beijing left a deep impression on me with its unique charm. Location: The hotel is situated in Jinyu Hutong, Dongcheng District, right in the heart of the Wangfujing commercial area. It's only 400 meters from Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, easily accessible on foot, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square are also within 2 kilometers, giving it a unique geographical advantage for both tourism and business travelers. Facilities: As an all-suite hotel, guest rooms are at least 60 square meters, offering spacious and comfortable living. I stayed in a Grand Premier Suite, which was a generous 75 square meters with a well-laid-out floor plan. The in-room amenities were also very luxurious, featuring a high-quality marble bathroom and a spa-mode bathtub. Additionally, the room felt very high-tech, with a control panel to adjust lighting, temperature, and other features. Dining: The hotel's dining experience was remarkable. Breakfast was semi-buffet style; while the selection wasn't extensive, the quality of the food was excellent. The pan-fried beef short ribs and fresh shrimp laksa noodles were delicious and memorable. Overall, The Peninsula Beijing provides guests with a comfortable and distinguished stay, thanks to its excellent location, luxurious facilities, delicious dining, and attentive service. Although there were a few minor imperfections, they didn't detract from its quality as a top-tier hotel. It comes highly recommended.

Review: Stay Home This trip was like an encounter with prehistoric man and a case study of a failed business combined. If you book a standard room, you will be taken away from the five star reception area to another building which has the decor and standards of a thirty year old hotel. Faded carpets, peeling walls, smelly interiors, uncleaned floors and rooms which are impossible to heat. But it was just about liveable, in that it had a bed and hot water. What totally failed to impress were the amenities. We'd come for the children's stuff, the little zoo, water park and others. The price of these are not included in the hotel, and for each experience they charge adults and baby to the tune of 80rmb, meaning you will spend quite a bit to use it all. As soon as I saw the children's rides I became depressed, they were rusting and looked murderous, as if the nuts and bolts would be dislodged and explode fatally in all directions if a kid shook too heavily on the things. To even use anything suggested you'd become unclean as well. Then you attempt to ask staff something but stop when you realise how futile it would be to address someone with one eye in its forehead and the other in its chin, with their peers boasting similarly fascinating facial misalignments. An hour of that and we wanted to leave, including our baby. She would have been much happier at home playing with her toys, or rather just happy at home doing anything than being at the Nirvana resort. Anyway, the swimming pool is not free either, they will charge you 58 a person including child. When I went to ask about a swim, staff were downright stunned I'd walked in to ask such a question, watching as I entered and left with hillbilly intensity and incomprehension. You can see the park had a lot of money invested in it before, way back in the misty past, but I can't see them recouping their losses. The resort is a grab money scheme with separate interests taking care of, or neglecting, what is on offer. I can't see them attracting a moneyed middle class without a total overhaul. On the plus side, my wife and I did have a good laugh about how bad it was and the fact we'd packed for a few days in expectation of a holiday, but found ourselves cancelling after an hour. The reception was helpful with this and refunded our money. The staff are well meaning in a vacuous kind of way, going about their duties as the whole place drops about them, broken lifts, falling plaster, water leaks and all. But to be sincerely positive, the gardens are pleasant along with the lake and ducks.

Service: When checking in, I added the WeChat of our exclusive butler, Abel Cao, who was very attentive and helpful. He answered all our questions promptly and was incredibly detailed. The hotel also provided complimentary apples as a late-night snack, which were delicious. Additionally, our booking included a complimentary travel photography session. We contacted the photographer a day in advance, and the shoot was arranged for the next day. We received 5 free photos, and the results were excellent. Environment: The hotel generally has a great ambiance. The hot springs, swimming pool, and gym are all on B2. The gym facilities are good. The indoor hot springs were mostly a children's play area. The outdoor hot springs weren't very large, and some of the pools weren't open. The lighting at night was too dim to see clearly, and the sweat and salt steam rooms were also closed, which made it feel a bit uninspired.

The facilities and environment were excellent, but the room amenities fell far short of expectations. The refrigerator wasn't cold, blood stains were found on pillows, the bedding was torn, and the bathroom door couldn't lock. That said, I'm immensely grateful to the hotel butler, Bradley, for his exceptional care. He provided 24/7 support for my family and me, promptly addressing every request—whether fixing malfunctioning phones, repairing all broken lights in the room, or other issues. His help extended beyond hotel duties: when we planned outings, he offered invaluable advice, practical tips, and essential reminders. Though these matters weren't his responsibility after we checked out, he meticulously arranged everything for us. Bradley truly went above and beyond.

The hotel's facilities and external environment are quite good. The rooms are clean, quiet, and the bedding is comfortable. However, there are too many items on the bedside tables, leaving almost no usable space, which is a bit inconvenient. The outdoor air is fresh, and you can climb the mountain behind the waterfall for a distant view of Miyun Reservoir. The indoor children's play area is a decent size, with slides, trampolines, and climbing structures suitable for older children. The decor feels a bit cold and empty, but the staff providing the childcare service are very responsible. Outdoors, there's a simple vegetable patch where you can pick vegetables freely to feed rabbits and chickens, and it's lit up at night. The kids really enjoyed these two areas. The various children's craft activities were set up like temporary stalls in one of the hotel's banquet halls, which felt a bit deserted and makeshift. We didn't have time to participate. During the National Day holiday, there were many guests, and it felt like the staff were a bit overwhelmed. The overall service wasn't very meticulous, but everyone's attitude was good. The Half-Mountain Hot Spring is a public bath, but between 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM, there are very few people, making it easier to enjoy the best-viewed pools by yourself. Therapeutic treatments and dinner reservations need to be booked through the butler. Most other activities require advance booking on the mini-program, which can feel a bit cumbersome. We forgot to book dinner seats half a day in advance, and by the afternoon, we were told we'd have to wait until 7 or 8 PM. However, the in-room meal delivery service was excellent, and the food tasted good. The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of high-quality ingredients, with both Chinese and Western options, though it leans more towards Western cuisine. The restaurant's capacity is limited. We're early risers, and our dining experience before 8:20 AM was good. After that, you'd have to wait in a long queue at the entrance. At night, the hotel's outdoor areas are lit up, perfect for a walk in the comfortable temperature. You can even see the winding lights of the Great Wall in the distance. A big thank you to our butler, Vivian, for her patient service and timely, warm reminders, which made our trip smoother and more convenient 🌹.

Excellent location in the Wangfujingarea! Check-in was fast and efficient. The 3-bedded room was a good size and well appointed with a Nespresso machine, comfy beds and pillows. Staff was friendly and quick to assist whenever we approached them for help or queries. The breakfast buffet spread includes both continental choices and Chinese dishes to cater to different tastes. Overall, great value for money considering its central location and coupled with the friendly service rendered to us by the attentive staff, it was a very positive 5- night stay at Park Plaza Wangfujing Beijing indeed.

Our family of four was originally looking for a two-bedroom suite, but it wasn't available during the National Day holiday. The front desk attendant was great and suggested we could add an extra bed, which was also more affordable. The room was very spacious. The hotel has a bit of history and looks a bit old, but it's actually very well-maintained. The floors were sparkling clean every day, and everything was tidied up perfectly. The kitchen and utensils were all spotless and fully equipped. Most importantly, it's incredibly convenient for visiting attractions! During National Day, many areas were restricted, but we could walk from the hotel to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square in less than half an hour! Wangfujing Street is right behind the hotel, and Wangfujing Central is just a five-minute walk away! It couldn't be more convenient! Excellent value for money! Highly recommend for families!

We stayed in a family room with our child, and it was spacious and very clean. The staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful. They made a great effort to resolve the issues we had with our online orders. The breakfast was sufficiently varied, with a stronger Asian focus rather than Western options. The hotel’s location was also quite good — you can easily reach the Forbidden City and other major attractions by DiDi. As is the case throughout China, the internet connection was problematic here as well, but this is not something specific to the hotel. Overall, it’s definitely a great value-for-money option, and I highly recommend it.

This hotel, recommended by a friend, was generally a pleasant surprise with no major disappointments. What truly stood out were the ambiance and the service details. The antique-style decor is incredibly charming, with photo opportunities everywhere – perfect for snapping great pictures. While the room wasn't particularly spacious, the large floor-to-ceiling window let in abundant natural light, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Regarding service, I must commend the front desk and security staff. As soon as our car pulled up, someone immediately came over to help with luggage and open doors. Every time we left, they thoughtfully assisted with opening the car door, adding a nice touch of ceremony. However, there were a few minor drawbacks. The small window next to the room couldn't be opened, and with no exhaust fan in the bathroom, the ventilation was poor. It could get a bit stuffy after a while, and bathroom odors didn't dissipate easily, which slightly affected the experience. Also, when checking out, there wasn't anyone immediately available to help load luggage into the car, which was a small letdown compared to the attentive service upon arrival.

The Kempinski during the Christmas season – from the moment you step into the lobby, you're enveloped in a strong festive atmosphere. The sparkling Christmas tree and warm golden decorations are both inviting and luxurious. The room maintained the brand's usual luxury and comfort, with bedding that ensured a peaceful night's sleep. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the service team was warm and attentive. This stay was particularly memorable because of the cozy Christmas decor.

Our first trip to Beijing brought an unexpected and delightful surprise. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to the Ambassador Suite, which was incredibly spacious. The large living room offered plenty of room for the kids to run around and play freely. My son and daughter both said soaking in the huge bathtub was a real treat. Plus, there were bunk beds, which the little ones absolutely loved. The top-floor view presented the city's nightscape as a beautiful painting outside our window. It was a moment of peace and quiet, coupled with a touch of secret joy, truly the perfect start to our trip. Many thanks to Danika and her team; everyone greeted us warmly with kind words and smiles, making us feel completely at home. After a cold night bike ride around Tiananmen, we messaged the next day to ask for a few bowls of brown sugar ginger tea, and our request was immediately fulfilled. When housekeeping staff member Fang Le was cleaning, she noticed our suitcases on the floor. Concerned the children might trip over them, she promptly arranged for two extra luggage racks and neatly organized all our belongings. Although our stay was only two short days, we experienced so many heartwarming moments. Choosing to stay here during our Beijing trip was truly the smartest decision we made!

Traveling with my child during the National Day holiday, Celia at the front desk was incredibly helpful. She soothed and cared for my baby and thoughtfully arranged a room with a great view for us. When checking out, I was in a hurry and accidentally left something in the room, which made me quite anxious. Celia went to the room to retrieve the forgotten item and personally brought it to me, even seeing us off. Her genuine smile and responsible attitude completely eased my worry. I really love this hotel; whenever I visit Beijing and the price is right, I always stay here. This time I stayed for three nights, and it was great. The location is excellent, making it convenient to go anywhere. The room is also very spacious, and the amenities are quite good. The breakfast, in particular, is highly recommended. They offer traditional Beijing snacks, including douzhi (fermented mung bean milk), jiaoquan (fried dough rings), and various instant noodles, which gives a nice retro touch. 1. Excellent location, with decent dining options nearby. 2. They have their own parking, which costs 80 RMB per day. 3. The facilities are on par with a quasi-five-star hotel, very new. 4. Service is great; requests are attended to quickly. 5. Plenty of hot water for a comfortable shower. 6. Food delivery needs to be picked up in the elevator lobby; they don't deliver to the room. 7. The room was very warm in winter. Drawbacks: 1. The double room facing the road wasn't very soundproof. 2. The shower head lacked labels, so it was hard to tell which one was which. 3. I suggest using robots for food delivery, a service many five-star hotels now offer.

The room is very clean and the hotel is very new! I have been staying in their group hotels all over the country. One reason is that the hotel is newly opened nearby, clean and has good service! The other reason is that their hotel locations are basically located in convenient locations. This one in Beijing is very user-friendly. Recently, I opened a business nearby. I chose the cheapest reservation. The front desk called me that day to explain the situation. I told them that it was okay because I arrived in the early morning. It was the cheapest room type I voluntarily chose and it had nothing to do with the hotel. The front desk agreed to me humanely that there were other vacant rooms and they could help me upgrade for free. The room pictures are for free upgrades! Moreover, during my stay, the service at the hotel front desk made me feel warm! From the front desk receptionist's smiling service, patiently and meticulously explaining the check-in process, to the quick and efficient handling of the procedures, every detail showed a high level of professionalism. In the subsequent check-in process, there were problems that were actively communicated and solved. They always responded enthusiastically, using thoughtful suggestions and timely actions to solve the problems, making me feel as if I were at home. Such high-quality service must give a big thumbs up to the staff at the hotel front desk! I strongly recommend this hotel! This group of hotels in other provinces also have the same service attitude, which is really good! Like 👍

Clean, well appointed and meticulously clean. Special mention about the staff. So friendly and helpful. Really appreciated their ability to speak English, as our spoken Chinese wasn’t good. They helped us with so much information about local dining, shopping and sightseeing locations. We arrived very late at night to check in. The staff welcomed us and gave us a free upgrade. The room was beautiful. Very roomy, good facilities and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in. We had the pleasure of dining in the revolving restaurant. Food and service were impeccable. Train Station Area Shanghai|2.4km from downtown
In the cluster of hotels in Shanghai's core area, what truly sets Pullman Shanghai Jing'an apart isn't just its 'convenience,' but its precise balance between 'frequent travel needs' and ' understated luxury and relaxation.' It's like a discerning old friend: never showy, yet always hitting the right note at every critical juncture. The hotel's location is supremely convenient, a 'hub-level' accessibility. It's a 5-10 minute walk to Shanghai Railway Station and a 3-minute connection to the subway. Whether you're catching an early high-speed train or returning after a night out on the Bund, there's no need to rush. Yet, the moment you step into the lobby, the city's hustle and bustle fade away. The understated luxurious decor, paired with vibrant greenery, avoids excessive flair, instead using perfect lighting and a delightful aroma to instantly relax you. The most pleasant surprise is the 'granularity' of the service: the concierge can arrange shipping for forgotten items for guests who have already checked out, and the front desk service is warm and efficient. This unforced attentiveness feels warmer than standardized service. The rooms are an example of 'practical sophistication': floor-to-ceiling windows invite the city skyline in, the bedding is soft yet supportive, and it offers both a full-sized desk for business travelers and connecting room options essential for families. Even the sofa in executive suites can be converted into an extra bed free of charge, revealing a thoughtful consideration for different guest demographics in every detail. The leisure area on the 6th floor is a hidden gem: a 28℃恒温 swimming pool with the Jing'an skyline visible through floor-to-ceiling windows. In the evening, the golden sunset reflects on the water, creating stunning, high-quality photos effortlessly. The 24-hour gym ensures exercise is never a chore. It lacks the gimmicks of 'influencer hotels' but, through a profound understanding of the 'essence of travel and living,' it enables business travelers to be efficient and stress-free, families to be comfortable and at ease, and solo travelers to find a sense of relaxation. In Jing'an, where every inch of land is precious, a hotel that 'understands needs and offers warmth' truly is the premier choice for accommodation.

The house is being renovated, so for the weekend, I decided to stay overnight as a local resident of Shanghai. During the two years of the pandemic, I also took my child to many iconic local hotels to experience them. After considering factors such as comfort, location, cost-effectiveness, dining, service, opening hours, and overall quality, I would highly recommend this hotel to friends planning a trip to Shanghai. The staff are very attentive and responsive to any needs. The location is excellent, situated in North Bund, Hongkou District, which is not too noisy and offers easy access to various amenities. For those visiting Shanghai, there is a stand-up comedy show nearby that is definitely worth checking out. The dining options are plentiful, and you can easily reach Siji Minfu within walking distance. The North Bund City Terrace and the Waibaidu Bridge are also within walking distance. Today is my last day at The Westin Bund Center Shanghai. At first, I loved the hotel, but unfortunately, the experience has slowly deteriorated. Before arrival, I had tried emailing ************************* to make a small request to celebrate an anniversary, but the email failed to deliver with an error saying the recipient’s server didn’t recognize certain characters. I’m not sure why, as the email was in English and sent from my phone. At check-in, I mentioned this to the receptionist (his name started with “C”), who was very polite and spoke to the lady behind him, asking her to reach out to Angela to assist. He then told me to head to my room and assured me I would be contacted. I waited for an hour in the room with no update, so I went out hoping to find a message upon my return, but sadly, there was still nothing. The email issue could have been my fault, and that is fine. But what is unacceptable is being promised a follow-up for such a special occasion and then never receiving it. For a hotel of this standard, I expected better communication and service consistency. Later, my son lost part of his toy, which led me to start searching around the room. While doing so, I discovered dust under every cabinet. Worse, I found what looked like someone else’s cream bottle stuck between the bed and the dresser. This makes me believe that the bottom part of the bed sheet was not changed, as housekeeping would almost certainly have noticed such an item if the bed had been properly stripped and remade. I have stayed in many Marriott properties, and this is the first time I would give only 2–3 stars. :(

The Grand Central Hotel Shanghai is located next to Nanjing road so it’s very central. The decoration of the hotel looks a bit outdated which lots of golden colors and palm trees in the lobby. Upon my arrival the concierge staff helped to take out my luggage from the car and as we were walking inside he wanted to store my luggage and telling me that check in was at 2pm. I arrived at 12pm. I told him I will go to the reception first and brought my luggage with me. The receptionist checked my booked and said the room isn’t ready and asked me to wait. As I was very tired I asked how long I need to wait and he said until 2pm. I asked if I could perhaps double check at 1 pm and he said ok. I checked again at 1pm and the room wasn’t ready. Finally I got the room at about 1:40. The room size was good and the maintenance of the room was ok although a bit worn out but the decoration looks very outdated and makes the room look more old. Moreover, they had some old brochures in the room which doesn’t really apply to today’s needs such as an old Shanghai yellow pages catalogue etc. Furthermore, there was two bottles of water in the room with tags and on the tag it was clearly stated that only two bottles of water is provided per day per room and additional water bottles will be charged at 10RMB per bottle. I think this makes the hotel seem stingy, supposedly stating that it’s a five star hotel. Haven’t encountered this at hotels with lower star ratings that I stayed at. Another issue was that the HBO channel on the TV didn’t work and that was the only foreign channel on the tv for movies so perhaps international travelers wouldn’t have much to watch. My stay was so so.. the most positive aspect being the central location.

Hello everyone! Mr. Li is back again! Time flies. Last time I stayed at Pudong Shangri-La for five nights in late April, and this time, I’m here with my family for two nights. First of all, the Christmas decorations inside and outside the hotel are absolutely beautiful. It's not a flashy kind of luxury, but rather a unique charm and romance that's characteristic of Shangri-La. Truly lovely. My car was parked in B1, and Manager Wang from the front office happened to be by the elevator. He's a very responsible leader and helped us with our luggage and check-in. It made us feel so welcome, truly like coming home. It's precisely because leaders like Manager Wang are at Shangri-La that even the somewhat dated hardware at Pudong Shangri-La doesn't seem to matter as much. Perhaps I'll keep choosing this place because of outstanding individuals like Manager Wang. The front desk staff, Xiao Guo, handled the entire check-in process courteously and professionally. Commendable. I won't say much about the room's hardware. It feels very familiar, but it is indeed a bit old. Two out of three power outlets weren't working too well. The hygiene was satisfactory as well, and all the aunties were very polite. However, I do have one complaint to report this time. It concerns a male employee in the soft-boiled egg and beef porridge area at the breakfast restaurant. My wife and I passed by this area around 10:30 AM on the 7th. This male employee was preparing the porridge. We asked him something, and he suddenly responded very rudely, saying, “Five minutes! Five minutes!” His tone was extremely impatient, and he didn't even look up or make eye contact with us. It felt very disrespectful and impolite. Why do we remember this male employee so vividly? Because he sometimes also appears in the omelet and egg roll area, and when we stayed here in April, it was also this same male employee. I remember clearly that his attitude was very poor and nasty then too. He frequently glares at guests, not just us, but other guests as well. I hope the hotel investigates this and takes serious action against this employee. Firing him would probably be best. I honestly find his presence upsetting; it seems like he truly dislikes his job. To give some inappropriate examples, Manager Wang from the front office is like an angel from heaven, while this male employee is like an emissary from hell… Also, the junior service staff in the restaurant are all very good and dedicated. Commendable. Today around 11:30 AM, I called concierge to ask for a cart to help with check-out. However, after waiting for about 15 minutes, no concierge staff showed up. My elderly parents and children couldn't wait any longer. My wife and I had to carry all our bags ourselves, which was quite difficult. This was also very disappointing. Perhaps they were very busy, which I understand. I reported the situation to the concierge, and a male concierge wearing glasses said they were busy and seemed willing to help me with the luggage, but his movements were just too slow, too slow. I really couldn't take it anymore, so I just said, 'Never mind, I'll do it myself.' This felt a bit incomprehensible... In the B1 parking lot, a Tesla was directly blocking the aisle, making it difficult for many guests to pass. Luggage and strollers couldn't get through normally. I hope the hotel can strengthen management in the parking area. The quality of some people is indeed very low nowadays, and this is particularly severe with the Tesla demographic. They're all somewhat abnormal individuals. Finally, I still want to commend Manager Wang Binran from the front office. His resolute and serious attitude, and the way he treats guests like family, are truly exceptional. I hope the hotel's senior management sees this message and gives Manager Wang the highest recognition, ideally a promotion and a raise. I believe this is the sentiment and request from me, a loyal guest, and many other guests!

Review: The Langham Shanghai — Still Well-Located, But No Longer the Same The Langham Shanghai has long been one of my preferred hotels, especially before the pandemic. After many stays, I’ve come to expect a certain standard of hospitality, consistency, and refinement. This recent visit, however, showed a noticeable decline across several areas. Service Overall service from the staff was acceptable. Front-line employees remained polite and tried their best. However, the manager on duty—a Caucasian manager—felt out of touch with Asian hospitality norms. His attitude came off as dismissive and rude, which immediately set the wrong tone. The contrast between the staff’s warmth and his behavior was striking. Breakfast Buffet The most significant drop was in the breakfast buffet. Quality has slipped in a way that’s hard to ignore: food didn’t taste as fresh, dishes weren’t as well prepared, and the overall selection felt uninspired compared to previous years. At this point, it’s honestly better to go out for breakfast. Room & Housekeeping Room cleanliness was fine, but small inconsistencies added up. Turn-down service was missed on some nights. When I requested water refill, the staff who arrived seemed confused about why she had been sent up, leading to an awkward exchange. These are small moments, but in a five-star hotel, they highlight cracks in training and coordination. Overall Impression The Langham Shanghai still has one unbeatable strength: location. But nearly everything else has declined—food, consistency, management attitude, and attention to detail. After years of loyalty, I’m now considering switching to a different hotel for future trips. The experience simply didn’t match the standards I’ve known and trusted from The Langham brand. A disappointing stay from a once-reliable favorite.

Shanghai Disney Resort Shanghai|21.83km from downtown
Let's cut to the chase and get straight to the good stuff. If you're too lazy to read, just scroll to the bottom for the summary. **Hotel Environment:** Located within a resort complex, the overall ambiance is great, featuring a Japanese Zen garden. **Hotel Location:** They offer six-seater business shuttle services to Disney, directly dropping you off at Metro Station Exit 4. Booking is convenient. For other places in Shanghai, you can also take the hotel shuttle to Exit 4 and start your journey on Line 11. It only takes about 40 minutes by metro to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street near the Bund. **Hotel Hot Spring:** After a long day at Disney, soaking in the hot spring is incredibly relaxing. It's exclusively for hotel guests and comes at no extra charge, offering excellent value for money. **Hotel Dining:** While breakfast isn't extravagant, it has all the essentials and is more than enough to refuel after a morning of queuing and walking at Disney. I highly recommend the pork soft bone ramen and the charcoal-grilled pork belly ramen; a bowl is usually enough to satisfy a noodle-loving child under 10. The scallion pancake is crispy and fragrant – I even took one to Disney with me. The stir-fried cabbage is fresh and delicious, and the bamboo shoot soup is incredibly tasty. The steamed soup dumplings, honestly, weren't that great; they were the only minor flaw in an otherwise excellent meal. **Hotel Facilities:** They have photo sticker booths with various licensed themes, including Zootopia, and the claw machines are relatively easy to win. My child had a blast. **Summary:** In my opinion, this hotel offers better value for money than Disney and the Toy Story Hotel. The six-seater business shuttle, hot spring, and restaurant are definite bonus points. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

I rarely write hotel reviews but this one is a true hidden gem! My partner and I stayed for one night and we used this guesthouse as our little getaway from the busy center of Shanghai. It’s perfect for a romantic and cosy staycation, very quiet and private! The water in the private hot spring, surprisingly, comes from a real underground spring so it’s quite hot. Because it’s summer, we had to wait for it to cool down a little bit but it was perfect later on, especially during the night, we stayed in there past midnight and it was amazing. The staff was also really nice to us, with nice service! Overall, we were really amazed of the quality of this experience for this price, one of the best we have tried! ☺️

The overall environment was pristine, the room was spotless and tidy, with attention to detail evident – not a speck of dust even in the corners. The location is superb, close to the river, making it very convenient for walks and enjoying the river views. The room views are beautiful; you can watch the bustling traffic during the day and the city lights at night, creating an amazing ambiance. As a business traveler who frequently visits Shanghai, Citadines has long been my top choice for accommodation, and every stay brings delightful surprises! The front desk service is incredibly thoughtful; whether it's special room requests or travel inquiries, they are patient, responsive, and go above and beyond to assist. Check-in is efficient and pleasant. The room itself is impeccable – spacious, bright, and tidy. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and both the lighting and ventilation are excellent. The housekeeping staff cleans meticulously; every nook and cranny is spotless, making for a truly reassuring stay. The location is absolutely fantastic; the 71 bus stop right outside takes you directly to the Bund, and popular spots like Columbia Circle and Wukang Mansion are incredibly close, making it super convenient to visit attractions after work. And I must highlight the breakfast! There's a rich and diverse selection, offering both Chinese and Western options. The serving time from 7 AM to 11 AM is particularly thoughtful, perfectly suiting the schedules of business travelers. I've already recommended this hotel to my colleagues, and everyone who has stayed here has given overwhelmingly positive feedback! It offers incredible value for money, and I will definitely choose Citadines again on my next trip to Shanghai. I genuinely recommend it to anyone traveling for business or leisure!

The grandeur of old Shanghai can still be vividly imagined through the Peace Hotel. Many hotels ask if you'd like your luggage sent to your room, but the Peace Hotel doesn't. From the moment you arrive at the entrance and say ”checking in,” your bags are taken care of all the way to the walk-in closet in your room. If you get lost inside (like I did), don't worry about not finding help; staff members are everywhere, proactively approaching you to ask if you need anything. Our twin room wasn't huge but was cozy and comfortable. The S-shaped layout ensured the room was very quiet. In fact, the entire guest floor was quiet and elegant, with a lovely sweet cinnamon scent. **Amenities**: Great water pressure, pleasant-smelling toiletries, delicious breakfast, large bathtub. The pool is a bit small but rarely crowded, and the gym is also empty, with equipment offering views of Nanjing Road. Parking is available but very limited, and the access road is always full of tourists taking wedding or portrait photos, making driving difficult. The location is excellent, right at the Bund end of Nanjing East Road, a five-minute walk from the subway. **Cleanliness**: Extremely clean. **Service**: Excellent.

This was our first time staying at Andaz Shanghai, and my child absolutely loved the duplex room. I stumbled upon it quite by chance and decided to give it a try, never expecting such incredible value for money. Everything, from the smooth check-in process to the first-floor dining, the diligent housekeeping staff, the breakfast buffet, and even room service, was truly outstanding. I visit Shanghai frequently throughout the year and have stayed at many luxury hotels, including The Ritz and Regent, where the service often feels like superficial enthusiasm. However, every single employee here is genuinely proactive, anticipating guests' needs with heartfelt sincerity. For instance, a young man in white from the ground floor bar saw me heading to check-in. He proactively followed me to the reception area and, noticing I hadn't finished my drink, offered to pack it up and have it sent to my room. At the breakfast buffet, every staff member was actively engaged; the food was freshly prepared, and even close to closing time, they diligently replenished items and proactively offered to pack food for guests to take away. The cakes and fresh meat mooncakes were reasonably priced but tasted fantastic. My child insisted on ordering room service for every meal, and not once were we disappointed – everything was delicious! Even after checking out and finishing our day's activities, we had to return to the first floor for one last meal before heading to our next stop. Seeing how much my child cherished the place and how reluctant he was to leave, I promised him that on our next trip to Shanghai, we would definitely stay here again.

The hotel boasts a prime location, with the Pearl River View rooms offering the absolute best Bund river views – encompassing the iconic 'Pearl Trio' (Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jin Mao Tower, and Shanghai World Financial Center) and a fantastic C-shaped bend of the Bund that combines both. The rooms are elegant and minimalist, with the double sinks being a particularly nice touch. Note that the hotel has two buildings, so pay attention to the room type when booking if you want a river view. The hotel staff are professional and attentive. On the morning of our check-in, we received a call asking about our arrival time and any special requests, and they arranged a high-floor room for us, which was excellent! Despite the hotel being quite busy, the front desk and concierge handled everything efficiently and smoothly. When we accidentally took the wrong elevator after breakfast, a hotel employee inside quickly assisted us. Our room attendant, Anna, also provided excellent service throughout our stay. For my birthday🎂 this year, I chose to stay at J Hotel Shanghai Tower🏨. Firstly, it's the highest hotel in the world, and secondly, I've already checked off two of Shanghai's 'Three Sisters' hotels – Park Hyatt and Grand Hyatt Jin Mao – so this time I absolutely had to experience the tallest one🏨. A day before check-in, the butler called☎️ to discuss my room preferences. Knowing it was for a birthday, the hotel arranged a small birthday cake🎂, a card, and some fruit🫐🍇 in my room, which was very much appreciated😊. The room itself is quite spacious, but the view felt a bit ordinary. There's a noticeable distance between the room and the outer glass, and due to the double-layered glass, the city lights at night appeared rather dim. For sunrise🌅 and sunset🌄 views, you can head to the Tian Zhi Jin restaurant on the 120th floor, where the view is much better👍. The bathroom features a double vanity, and there's a TV📺 above the bathtub🛁 so you can watch while soaking. The shower room has a long bench design, suitable for elderly guests🧼. All the toiletries are Diptyque, which I really like, and the hairdryer is a Xiaomi. The walk-in closet is also spacious enough. In the mini-bar, everything except the liquor🍾, chocolates🍫, and snacks is complimentary, and you can even take home anything you don't finish! There's also a capsule coffee machine with three different coffee☕️ flavors to choose from, and a wide variety of tea bags. The turndown service was excellent; a bathmat and slippers were placed by the bed, and two bottles of water were left on each side of the headboard. Each room comes with a mini iPad to control services, lighting, and curtains. I particularly loved the square room key card and asked to keep it as a souvenir when checking out✌🏻. Breakfast is served on the 101st floor🍽️. I found a window seat and enjoyed a leisurely meal. It's a semi-buffet style; you can order from the menu or help yourself from the buffet. The selection is very rich, and the freshly squeezed juice bottles are beautiful😻. Both Chinese and Western breakfast options are generally well-covered😌. After check-out, in-house guests can report their license plate and room number at the concierge desk on the first floor for free parking🅿️.

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my recent stay at your hotel. The room I received was completely inconsistent with the photos and description shown during my online booking. I specifically booked a red-themed twin room with a central Bund view, and I even informed the hotel in advance that I preferred a high floor. However, upon arrival, I was assigned a room on the 8th floor, with a yellow-themed design and an edge-side view. From this room, two-thirds of the view was blocked by buildings, and only a small portion of the river could be seen — and even that was only visible when standing close to the window. The Oriental Pearl Tower view was almost entirely hidden. When I raised this issue with the staff, they denied any discrepancy and claimed that the only twin rooms available were in the yellow design, which clearly contradicts the photos shown during booking. I paid extra to upgrade to a Bund view, and it is unacceptable that I was initially placed in a room with such a limited and obstructed view. Only after I became very firm with my complaint did the staff agree to change my room to a double room with the proper central Bund view. This entire process wasted over one hour of my time, involved unnecessary waiting, and demonstrated poor service handling, especially for a hotel that claims to be five-star.

As a business traveler with a packed schedule, I'm taking advantage of a rare free moment today to praise this hotel apartment. This was our first stay at Citadines Gubei. The lobby is spacious and bright, and front desk staff member Wei Kaijie greeted us with a friendly smile, showing us the guest rooms and providing a detailed overview of the apartment's facilities. Manager Fu Renjie is highly competent. We stayed in room 1752 on the 17th floor, and the housekeeping staff there are very meticulous, especially Liu Gaiqin, who has an excellent service attitude. She diligently cleans our room and bathroom daily and promptly replenishes our amenities. The hotel breakfast is very generous, and for takeout orders, a robot delivers them directly to the room door. What truly sets this hotel apart, and what I haven't experienced in other hotels, is that the front desk staff go above and beyond their own duties to deliver guests' packages directly to their room doors. Although it's an older five-star hotel, they really make an effort to maintain it. This hotel is located in Guangzhou's bustling Tianhe CBD, right next to Tianhe Sports Center, making its location excellent. Compared to luxury hotels like the Four Seasons across from the Canton Tower, it offers incredible value for money. The rooms have a French decor style, and the high ceilings give a great sense of spaciousness. Everything in the room was clean and tidy, but what I remember most fondly is the bedding – it was so comfortable and soft against the skin. Guangzhou has had beautiful sunny weather recently, and waking up this morning to open the curtains and let the warm sunlight flood into the room was incredibly uplifting. The room facilities feel a bit above average for a typical five-star hotel, nothing particularly outstanding, but the service is genuinely excellent. They even provided emotional value. The bathtub is quite spacious, and the night view is also good, offering a partial view of the Canton Tower. Thumbs up! However, it's not a smart toilet, and honestly, people who stay in luxury hotels probably aren't used to flushing toilets manually. I hope they can install smart toilets. To be fair, the emotional value really comes from the night view – being able to see the Canton Tower makes up for everything else. Even though there's some obstruction, the emotional value is still maximized, largely compensating for any shortcomings. The service that really impressed me was from Mia and Tina; I was very satisfied when I went downstairs to extend my stay, and their smiles were very sweet. Check-in at the hotel was quite slow; I'm not sure why the room wasn't ready. We dropped off our luggage and went out for the afternoon, and still had a bit of a wait when we returned. I want to give a special shout-out to Shanshan from the lobby. On the day we checked in, there was a massive downpour, and all the umbrellas were already borrowed. Shanshan quickly noticed that some guests checking out had four umbrellas, and she went upstairs to retrieve them for us. The cocktails at Stiehler Bar on the second floor are great, especially their collaborative menu with Hope & Sesame. However, the special menu is limited, so I recommend coming early if you want to try it. Bar seats need to be reserved in advance, but other tables are first-come, first-served. The revolving restaurant on the 30th floor was just okay – good for the rotating ambiance, though. For breakfast, I originally planned to go to the first-floor restaurant, but the long queue quickly made me change my mind. So we went to Taoyuan on the third floor instead. Guangzhou Baiyun Hotel has always been my top choice for accommodation, consistently leaving a good impression in all aspects. However, I have to air some grievances this time. Firstly, the hotel is replacing its elevators. Previously, there were three elevators serving the 25th floor where I stayed, but now there's only one, which is extremely inconvenient. The front desk staff mentioned that elevator #9 also goes to the 25th floor, but it's not a guest elevator and is very slow. Secondly, the in-room facilities are quite old and seem to have been poorly maintained. The electric kettle lid doesn't seal properly, leaving a gap. In the bathroom, it's very difficult to switch between the overhead shower and the lower faucet. Once I finally got the overhead shower to work, there was no hot water, so I ended up having to wash up in the sink. All these issues were frustrating and helpless.

If you're seeking a more modern interior, I highly recommend requesting a room in the new wing to ensure a more pleasant stay. However, what truly stood out during my visit was the exceptional service provided by the manager, Leon. His attentiveness and dedication to addressing our concerns transformed our experience, turning an initial disappointment into a truly positive one. Leon's genuine commitment to guest satisfaction is commendable and makes a remarkable difference in the overall impression of this hotel. His outstanding hospitality not only resolved our issues but also left us with fond memories of our stay, and for that, I am truly grateful.

Choosing Muliangzhuang Hotel in Huadu for this vacation was absolutely the right decision – it definitely deserves five stars! The moment I stepped into the hotel, the strong Southeast Asian vibe instantly caught my eye. The lobby was surrounded by lush greenery, with stone paths underfoot and bamboo woven lamps overhead. It felt just like being on an overseas holiday, instantly putting me at ease. During check-in, the staff were warm and professional. They quickly got everything sorted for me and thoughtfully introduced the hotel's facilities and activities. My appreciation for the hotel instantly shot up. My lake view room was absolutely fantastic! The room was spacious and bright, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered an unobstructed view of the picturesque lake and mountains outside, like a natural painting. The huge, soft bed ensured I had a great night's sleep. The bathroom design was also very thoughtful, with a separate wet and dry area, and an extra-large bathtub. After a tiring day, a soak in the tub melted all my fatigue away. The hotel's amenities were also very extensive. The outdoor pool was crystal clear and beautifully designed, with sun loungers and parasols nearby. It was incredibly relaxing to sunbathe and swim there. The Muliang Qingquan Hot Spring is also a must-visit, offering several unique hot spring pools. After a soak, my skin felt noticeably better. For families with children, the outdoor kids' play area and indoor kids' club are a paradise. With a wide variety of play facilities, children can have endless fun. The dining experience was also excellent. The buffet breakfast at Sui Shi Fang Western Restaurant offered a rich variety of options, including Chinese hot congee and steamed buns, as well as Western bread and bacon. Everything tasted great, setting me up for an energetic day. The Cantonese cuisine at Yang Chinese Restaurant was truly exceptional. The ingredients were fresh, and the cooking brought out wonderful flavors, making every dish unforgettable. There are also many interesting places to visit around the hotel. European Town and Jiulong Lake Scenic Area are just a few minutes' drive away, perfect for sightseeing and photo opportunities. This stay was absolutely fantastic, and I'll definitely choose this place again for my next vacation!

My therapeutic trip to Bishuiwan completely exceeded my expectations! The hotel is nestled in a tranquil valley in Conghua, surrounded by lush greenery, and the fresh air instantly washes away the fatigue of city life. The hot spring area is the biggest highlight, with dozens of different themed pools hidden within the gardens – red wine pools, traditional Chinese medicine pools, floral fragrant pools… I tried them all. Watching the starry sky while soaking in the steamy water, I felt my mind and body gently soothed. The Quan Yue room I stayed in was spacious, bright, and clean, with a private hot tub in the courtyard. The bathroom fixtures were also very refined. What deserves the most praise is the service-mindedness of all the staff. From the front desk to the hot spring area and the restaurant, every employee had a genuine smile and actively offered help, making me feel warmly at home. The breakfast selection was incredibly rich, not only featuring exquisite Cantonese dim sum but also freshly prepared local wonton noodles, which tasted very authentic. Overall, this place perfectly blends natural tranquility with personalized service, making it a perfectly worthwhile holiday. I've already planned my next visit and sincerely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

My room was a luxurious suite with private bath tub (around hkd 3000 for two nights including breakfast). Hardware is definitely exceptional. However when it comes to service it is below standard: 1) front desk - service was poor without any greetings such as bell boy. Front desk officers were unhappy without any eye contact when they talk to you. No hospitality at all; 2) breakfast - the quality both food and service were not up to a 4 or 5 star service. Table was not clean, staffs were almost unfriendly, except one female manager and one staff, all staffs were rushing their task and unwelcoming. I believe the hotel management need to motivate their staff ,otherwise, people won’t come again. 3) Amnenties - room is a luxurious suite with private bath tub, massage chair, kitchen , dining table and queen bed. The tub was not very clean, with water splitting . Such a waste as their service was not meeting the standard of what it is expected to be a 5- star resort. (The environment, garden were nicely decorated indeed) The Hot Spring pool is well known but I have’s try so cannot comment. I won’t come to this resort again, if the service of the hotel haven’t improved. And I won’t recommend travelers with kids who is looking for a family friendly and good service resort. P.S.: Parking spaces were spacious and free

River view rooms are only available with king beds; there are no twin-bed options for river views. Twin rooms, unfortunately, only offer views of the village rooftops. The surroundings were decent, and the water quality seemed clean enough. The kids had a great time. However, room cleanliness was only average. The small rug was visibly grubby; I didn't dare let my child walk on it barefoot. The bath towels were very old and even had holes. While they appeared clean, the holes clearly indicated they'd been in use for a very long time.

The Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou offers a truly unique experience, one I've never encountered at any other hotel – the experience of being treated like a thief! Around 2:30 PM on December 5th, I arrived at the hotel lobby. The front desk staff told me my room wasn't ready and asked me to wait. I mentioned my phone was out of battery and I was about to go out with friends. So, front desk staff A offered to charge my phone at the front desk. I left my phone there and went to the restroom. When I returned, my phone was plugged in, and I had to stand in the position shown in picture 1. Fearing I might bother other guests, I only stood there for a short while before moving away to wander around the lobby. When it was time for me to leave, I returned to the front desk. At this point, another guest was standing directly in front of the desk, so I had to stand to the side to call a taxi on my phone (position in picture 2). That's when employee B, who was standing in the lobby, came over and asked if I needed help. Before I could even answer, he accused me of standing there to peek at other guests' privacy. Wow, wow, even if I tried to pick a fight, I couldn't come up with such an insulting method! It was truly novel, and I, the blogger, was momentarily speechless. All I could say was that I didn't want to stand there either; if my room were ready, I wouldn't need to stand there charging my phone. The employee then retreated without a word, no apology, not even a simple ”okay.” I had to ask other staff what position they had assigned this person to. I don't recall any hotel having a position dedicated to supervising guests to see if they're peeking at computers. Even if I weren't a hotel guest, just standing there to use a power strip, is such behavior serious enough to warrant an accusation of peeking at others' privacy? Do I need to explain again that from my angle, I couldn't even see the computer screen? And going back to the beginning, it wasn't my idea to plug my phone in at the front desk, was it? I've already written their excuses for them here: ”It was busy that day, the room wasn't ready, the employee was just doing their job, we apologize for the bad experience~” I only have one question: which of these reasons leads to accusing a guest of peeking at customer privacy on a work computer?? Under normal circumstances, a guest really shouldn't stand in that spot, but first and foremost, the hotel employee told me to charge my phone there, which is why I was standing there. Secondly, if that person had just come over and said I was blocking the way, I wouldn't have been so angry. Why jump straight to such a bizarre accusation? Forget about respecting hotel guests, did they even show me the respect a normal citizen deserves? All I can say is run! With this money, where else wouldn't be better? At this price point, are there really any hotels with significantly worse facilities? I didn't feel a shred of welcome; I only felt like my booking displeased them, infringing on other guests' privacy or adding to their burden. For those who enjoy causing themselves trouble, I highly recommend this hotel! 👍🏻

Our comfortable stay at Shangri-La began with a smooth check-in handled by Ms. Joice Yang. As it was the Mid-Autumn Festival, we received mooncakes upon arrival. Our river-view room offered a stunning vista, and we even caught a glimpse of fireworks over the Hong Kong-Macau border from our window at night. The changing rooms were spotless, and I loved the swimwear dryer, which made drying my swimsuit super quick. They also had a sauna (dry and wet), a warm-water jacuzzi, and provided rubber slippers, towels, bathrobes, hairdryers, combs, and cotton swabs. There's an indoor pool on the 4th floor and an outdoor pool on the 1st floor. The outdoor pool is divided into several sections with different depths, and you can move between them without getting out of the water. The shallow end even has an inflatable slide and occasional bubbles, which the kids absolutely loved. We were very satisfied and will definitely be back!!!

They're always ready to clear empty plates, truly top-notch service. The quality of both breakfast and dinner is extensive, and the oysters deserve a special shout-out! This was my first time in Guangzhou and my third Ritz-Carlton experience. Compared to the aging Portman Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai and the East-meets-West style of the Sanya Ritz, the Guangzhou Ritz offers a understated yet refined luxury. From the moment we arrived at the hotel entrance from the airport until checking in at the club lounge, we experienced professional and perfectly balanced service. Every staff member we encountered had a warm and friendly smile on their face. This trip to Guangzhou was primarily a vacation with my fiancée, and I planned a proposal, which was a complete success. Of course, the proposal's success was largely due to the support and assistance from General Manager Louis Fang. I also want to thank Manager Zhang from the club for helping me with some minor issues, as well as the perfect night view outside our window and the meticulous and professional service from all the club staff. Since I booked an executive room, I still had to wait, but the front desk was incredibly helpful! A big shoutout to Eleven, Duke, and Rebecca! They let us leave our luggage at the front desk and go relax on the executive floor. The last three photos show the view from the 26th-floor executive lounge! We had some drinks, chatted, and our room was ready half an hour later! Our luggage was delivered right to our room! We had a wonderful stay in Guangzhou! The cocktails at the W Hotel are beautiful! This hotel is an excellent choice for a red-eye flight. It's conveniently located right at the subway exit for Terminal 1, making the subway the most straightforward way to get here. Every time I've stayed, I've booked a single room. While it's not large, it's perfectly adequate, featuring a single bed and a narrow desk. After checking in, you can just freshen up and go to sleep, getting a good night's rest for the next day's journey. I am very happy with the cleanliness and the service of the hotel. Started with the promptness of Peggy, she helped prepared the room. Though there was no baby bathtub, they provided bathtub cover for extra cleanliness. We used that and bathed baby in the basin. All good. Suggested by Peggy. It was nerve racking to have children rides, claw machines and a play room when you are dealing with three older kids, but Tom was very helpful. The hotel shared some coins with the kids and Tom even helped catch the soft toys at the claw machines. Finally Joy was very helpful in the checked in and checked out process. She and her team helped us with our delivery as we needed a China number. We enjoyed the stay thoroughly. Not deserving of a star drop, but we didn’t realised our eldest was so tall, she needed to get a full adult breakfast ticket. We can only get discounted breakfast tickets the day before. So ended paying more for our eldest breakfast. A little inflexible, but I didn’t let that affect the trip. Thank you Crowne Plaza, overall we enjoyed the stay!

The young lady at the front desk who checked me in around 3 PM was very professional and exceptionally polite. The hotel room was spacious, and the bed was huge. It's an older hotel, which is perfectly understandable, and for just an overnight stay, I think it was comfortable and totally fine. However, I really need to mention the hotel breakfast, which I believe needs significant improvement. Firstly, there's very little variety. Secondly, it seemed unhygienic or perhaps the food wasn't fresh... My husband and I both got diarrhea after eating breakfast and returning to our room! My stomach started hurting in the elevator on the way back to the room after breakfast, and I almost didn't make it to the toilet in time. Before eating, we were both perfectly fine with no discomfort, as we always use the restroom after waking up in the morning. I distinctly remember everything I ate for breakfast, and I didn't even eat much! I had a small bowl of dace fish, peanut, and pork bone congee, two small pieces of boiled corn, a tea egg, two small cups of hot milk, a small cup of hot blackberry tea, a little vegetable salad, and four small multigrain buns (I gave one to my husband). Unexpectedly, I had diarrhea all day yesterday, and I'm still feeling weak at work today.

This is my second stay here because I really like the location, and the room size is decent even though I booked the cheapest room. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Only thing — when I asked about a self-service laundry room, they said the hotel doesn’t have one. Only those units come with a washing machine. But they’re okay with Taobao deliveries, so that helps. Their WeChat replies can be a bit slow, but still helpful overall. Breakfast is okay and tasty, just wish they would label the pao or meat more clearly. I don’t eat beef and can’t speak Mandarin, so it’s a bit inconvenient. The moment I pushed open the hotel doors, I felt as if I'd stumbled into a warm and dazzling fairytale secret realm. The Christmas atmosphere in the lobby immediately embraced me, instantly dispelling the winter chill. The most eye-catching feature was undoubtedly the towering Christmas fir tree in the center, adorned with sparkling amber lights and vintage red baubles, its glow swirling as if it housed a myriad of stars. Beside the tree, a chubby snowman, built from pristine white 'snow,' wore a plaid scarf, its obsidian eyes beaming with a smile. Not far away, a small and cozy gingerbread house exuded sweet imagination, its icing lines subtly shimmering under the lights, stirring the most innocent festive longing within me. But the real surprise was the giant panda dressed as Santa Claus! It wore a classic red Santa hat, its round body clad in a red and white suit, sitting adorably in the 'snow.' Its blue fur, contrasting wonderfully and harmoniously with the Christmas red, was a clever touch that perfectly blended trendy elements with Western festivities. It made everyone chuckle and feel a sense of familiarity; almost every guest stopped here to capture a joyful photo. Even more unforgettable was the warmth of the people here. The guest service attendant's smile was as warm as the morning sun. He proactively greeted me, meticulously introduced the facilities, and handled the check-in efficiently and smoothly. A warm cup of ginger tea, that unspoken care, instantly gave me the relaxing feeling of coming home after a long journey. The room was the ultimate haven of my trip. Its design was simple yet elegant, with complete smart facilities. Every detail exuded quality. But what truly amazed me was the tenderness of the bed. The mattress offered just the right support, the duvet was light and fluffy like being enveloped by clouds, and the pillow perfectly contoured my neck. I slept soundly without dreams all night, waking up feeling refreshed and re-energized—a long-lost sensation and undoubtedly the most luxurious gift of this journey. This stay wasn't just physical rest; it was a visual and spiritual festive celebration. I will definitely return for this unique Christmas memory and that cloud-like peaceful sleep.

I asked the front desk for a quiet room, and they assured me it wouldn't be noisy. To my surprise, it truly was quiet – a miracle! The room came with a charging cable, a UK-style power outlet, a fridge, and the TV was clear and easy on the eyes, with a working remote. Even though the window was sealed, there were no strange odors in the room or hallway, thanks to scheduled air purification. The lobby takes up almost an entire floor and has a grand, historic feel to it. The nearby convenience store was also well-stocked and useful. The hotel's restaurants are a big highlight, especially the buffet, with 8 different dining options. The facilities are well-maintained and don't show their 16 years of age. Today, the hotel just put up its Christmas floral decorations, which really added to the festive atmosphere. The surrounding scenery is also lovely; we enjoyed the Hong Kong mountain views during the day and the city skyline at night. We were very satisfied and would definitely choose to stay here again if we have the chance. ❤️❤️❤️

The room is spacious and the environment is lovely. You can see the Shenzhen River from the window. However, there are a few too few power outlets. The showerhead in the bathroom is fixed, so ladies can feel comfortable using it. The location is very convenient, near Luohu Port. You can find it by going through the underpass. There are many food options at the nearby Luohu Commercial City, and the hotel also has a 24-hour convenience store. The downside is that they're currently building the subway, so the road outside is a bit narrow and difficult to navigate. I'd like to commend the staff for their polite service. The gym doesn't have many facilities, but the space is large enough. Overall, it's pretty good. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Shenzhen.

Had an absolutely fantastic stay at Kempinski Shenzhen. The entire experience was flawless, from the luxurious room quality and convenient location to the stunning panoramic views from my upgraded 21st-floor room. The service, in particular, was exceptional across the board. A massive thank you to the wonderful young lady at the front desk and her manager for securing my amazing upgrade. This guesthouse stay was absolutely amazing! From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by its exquisite design. The interior decor is simple yet stylish, with every corner thoughtfully arranged and decorative items that show a real artistic touch. The outdoor courtyard is also fantastic, with white archways, lush greenery, and a sparkling pool. When the lights come on at night, the ambiance is incredible, making you feel like you're in a romantic resort. The comfort level was beyond words; the bedding in the room was incredibly soft and felt great against the skin – lying on it was like being wrapped in a cloud, and I slept soundly until I woke up naturally. The amenities were also complete, convenient to use, and felt high-quality. The bar in the common area had a really chic design; sitting on a high stool with a drink was incredibly relaxing. And the scenery was simply stunning! The large window in the room was like a 'picture frame.' During the day, you could see green trees, distant mountains, and water under blue skies and white clouds, offering a wide-open view that instantly brightened my mood. In the evening, the sunset glow spilled in, painting the sky a warm yellow – it was so beautiful I couldn't tear my eyes away. Any photo taken looked like a postcard. The hygiene was also very reassuring; the furniture and bathroom in the room were spotless, without a speck of dust, and the bedding and towels smelled fresh. You could really feel the guesthouse's strict attention to hygiene, making for a very comfortable and worry-free stay.

This guesthouse is nestled in a tranquil mountain forest, yet it's very conveniently located, with easy access to the subway station. The surrounding greenery is exceptional, and the air is incredibly fresh. Just sitting quietly on the balcony, you can feel your whole body relax. The hosts were incredibly attentive and kind to us, offering a warm and personal service unlike the more rigid experience you might find in a traditional hotel. We felt a genuine sense of hospitality. We also received a complimentary Chinese breakfast upon check-in, which was more than enough for one person. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the balcony was huge. Overlooking the mountains and the sea from such a place is simply idyllic – the blend of mountains and water truly creates a breathtaking landscape. I highly recommend everyone to come and stay here for a relaxing night when they have some free time; it's just so comfortable. There's also a swimming pool in the garden, and you can even enjoy free hot springs at night. The value for money is outstanding, especially for just a few hundred yuan. We were given fruit upon arrival to help soothe travel fatigue, and even received a souvenir when we checked out, which was a very thoughtful touch.

Due to work, I extended my stay for another night. It was super convenient that Stella at the front desk helped update my room card, and I also saw my old friend, Supervisor Mamara, who is always so kind. My original room was particularly smooth, and room service was prompt, tidying up the room without disturbing my work or rest! I was out entertaining a lot this time, so I didn't get a chance to enjoy a drink at the hotel, but I still think their wine selection is excellent. They even had a Cote du Rhône, a wine I used to really like when I lived in Switzerland – highly recommend it! They were also very accommodating with a late checkout until 2 PM. And since I used a card sleeve, I didn't even need to return the room card when checking out, which was even more convenient! Looking forward to coming back next time!

My stay here was truly excellent. The front desk service was professional and efficient, handling check-in swiftly and even proactively upgrading my room, which was a thoughtful touch. Furthermore, the lobby was already decorated for Christmas, creating a warm, festive atmosphere without being overly noisy – just the right touch for the holiday season. The room itself was clean and bright with an expansive view. The bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were quite new with a stable hot water supply, making for an overall satisfactory stay. The WiFi signal was strong and stable with smooth speeds, making it effortless to handle work emails and video conferences. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet sleeping environment and ample rest. Security measures were also impressive; you needed a key card to access your floor, and even food deliveries were handled by robots. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh ingredients, with a balanced selection of both Western and Chinese options. Facilities: The hotel facilities are very complete. Cleanliness: It was very clean. Environment: The environment was surprisingly pleasant. I even saw some nice scenery from the hotel's rooftop garden. It's quite a unique view for such a busy place as Shenzhen Airport. Service: The hotel service was excellent. For passengers flying, they even offer the convenient service of going through first-class security. The express check-out point is right on the way to the airport terminal, so you don't have to go back to the front desk, which is very thoughtful. Among airport hotels, this Hyatt at Shenzhen Bao'an Airport is truly well-designed. The first-class security and fast check-out are both very useful. Upon entering the room, there's a very special design: the hotel, knowing it's close to the airport runway, was clearly concerned about disturbing guests' sleep. Inside the outer window of the guest room, there's another floor-to-ceiling door. I tried it myself, and opening and closing this window/door makes a huge difference in noise perception. Being able to sleep peacefully without noise at an airport hotel felt pretty good.

100 points for being pet-friendly! I stayed in a suite alone with my mischievous dog, carrying a bunch of luggage and keeping my dog on a leash. I even brought a crate to avoid causing any cleaning difficulties for the hotel. Throughout my stay, the concierge and housekeeping staff were incredibly enthusiastic and offered tremendous help. Both the housekeeping and luggage-handling concierge staff were very friendly towards my dog. The hotel environment is excellent, with a large lawn in the South Wing and plenty of trash cans along the way, making it easy to dispose of pet waste immediately. This truly is Shenzhen's number one pet-friendly hotel. However, it's a shame the front desk service needs improvement. I was waiting to check out with my dog. One front desk agent was assisting a guest, while another was on the phone complaining to someone about how busy they were and needing to quickly resolve some technical issue. I waited patiently in front of the velvet rope, expecting the agent to finish her call. Soon after, a third front desk agent, dressed in a uniform that suggested she might be a supervisor, appeared. None of the three agents even glanced in my direction. Suddenly, a woman cut in front of me to approach the third agent, and she was immediately assisted! Not one of the three agents bothered to look up at me. For a five-star hotel, shouldn't the front desk staff pay attention to the queue? I had to loudly point out that I was here first, and to my disbelief, they still served the line-cutter before attending to me. The concierge and housekeeping had provided such a satisfying experience, only for it to be ruined by the cold reception at check-out. This hotel's front desk clearly hasn't received the training expected of a five-star establishment. My friend even joked that my dog was too quiet, and maybe next time, if she barked wildly at the front desk, someone would finally pay attention to us.

Stayed for two nights, here's my review! First, the pros: 1. The location is absolutely unbeatable! The hotel has direct access to Yitian Holiday Plaza, and you're right at the mall and subway downstairs. It's a 5-minute walk to Window of the World/Happy Valley, which saves so much energy when you're taking kids on rides. Plus, you can watch the fireworks display from your room's balcony at night – my kids were screaming with excitement! 2. The service deserves a big thumbs-up! 3. Little perks: They restock 6 glass bottles of mineral water in the room daily. The turndown service leaves little bear cookies that are quite tasty, and breakfast goes until 11 AM, which is great for late sleepers! Now for a couple of complaints: 1. The facilities are definitely showing their age… The carpet edges are a bit frayed, and the bathtub drains a bit slowly, but the bedding is truly comfortable! Westin’s signature 'Heavenly Bed' lives up to its name – I was asleep in seconds. 2. Soundproofing is so-so. We stayed on the Window of the World side, and the park announcements during the day plus traffic noise at night were a bit loud. Light sleepers should request a room in the annex facing the mall. 3. Breakfast during peak hours means a scramble for seats! It gets super crowded after 9 AM, and the sausages were still half-frozen… I recommend going before 8:30 AM or just heading downstairs to the mall for dim sum – more options and cheaper too! Summary: It might be old, but the location and service are fantastic! Especially for families with kids visiting the amusement parks, for just over 1000 yuan, being able to go back to the hotel and relax whenever you want – what more could you ask for? I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

Overall, it is a nice hotel. It is good they provide flip flops for the pool. However, we took them off before going into the pool. Around noon, the lifeguard asked everyone to get out of the water (I guess it was their lunchtime?). The lifeguard was near the edge waiting for us and clearly saw that my flip flops were missing and it was likely that other guest took mine. The floor tiles were dangerous hot from the sun and he clearly heard me in distress. Yet, he did nothing to help! I guess his lunch time is more important than the guests' well-being! Negative Feedback: 1. The room had a strong musty smell. They brought an air purifier and sprayed air freshener throughout the room, but it barely made a difference. I initially thought it was because the AC wasn't on, but turning it on didn't help. I informed the front desk at 9:30 PM on the night of check-in, and they came up to try and resolve it. I also mentioned it again at check-out. 2. The bathtub in the room was dirty, so I didn't dare use it for a bath. I informed the front desk and showed them pictures at check-out. (See image 1). 3. There was an issue with the carpet in the room; parts of it were sunken. I noticed it just before check-out, with a circular indentation near the chair leg. I forgot to mention it to the front desk when checking out. (See image 2). Positive Feedback: The breakfast was varied, the view was excellent, the service was warm and attentive, and the details were decent. (See images 3-4).

Opened in 2012, the facilities are a bit old, the bedding is very average, but there are also highlights, smart toilet, smart gauze curtain, strong Chinese style and simple atmosphere. The service is very average, the concierge is also very poor and has no service awareness. There were some problems during the check-in process, but fortunately their manager (forgot to ask the name) solved them in time. They sent welcome fruits and breakfast. Thank you, but the front desk service really needs to be improved.

This is an interesting hotel within the Renmin Square precinct. It is not actually a 'people's square' in the conventional sense but an official precinct of grand sandstone and marble buildings erected in 1957. The buildings are majestic but the interiors are a little dated and tired. Our rooms were well furnished with very comfortable beds, well-functioning heating, air conditioning and bathrooms. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and assisted us with tourist information and transport. Breakfasts were good with a reasonable variety of dishes. Rooms were suitable serviced each day. I liked the quiet atmosphere of this hotel, its landscaped surroundings, and its close proximity to the CBD. It took us 20 minutes to walk to the Bell Tower and 30 minutes to the ancient city wall. Some of the staff spoke fluent English which was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

I booked a package deal for nearly 2000 per night. The hotel is located within the Huaqing Palace scenic area. Overall, I was very satisfied with my trip. Everything was excellent, except for the slightly dim lighting in the room. The hotel's service, in particular, was outstanding – from helping with luggage upon arrival to assisting with questions, whether through staff or managers, and even the restaurant service – it all made for a very comfortable experience. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you're visiting Huaqing Palace. If I return, I'll definitely stay here again, hoping the service quality remains as good as this time. The package included handicrafts, the 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow' performance, a photoshoot, and unlimited access to Huaqing Palace, all of which were great. It's a pity I didn't get a chance to use the hot springs. Breakfast was plentiful, with fresh ingredients, and everything was presented cleanly and neatly. Huaqing Palace itself is lovely, with beautiful scenery, and well worth a visit. The 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow' performance at night in the scenic area is definitely worth it!

The Willow Hotel is located in the heart of Lintong District, close to several tourist attractions, such as the famous Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Hot Springs. These historical sites are easily accessible by foot or car. The hotel's exterior design is modern and distinctive, while the interior decoration combines traditional and modern elements to create a warm and peaceful atmosphere. The lobby is spacious and bright, with beautiful decorations, making you feel at home as soon as you enter. The room you stayed in was very spacious and furnished in a comfortable and elegant manner. The bed was soft and the sheets were clean, which ensured a good night's sleep. The facilities in the room were complete, including high-speed Wi-Fi and a mini bar, which met all my needs. The hotel staff Kang Zhuo and Huang Dong were very friendly and professional in their service attitude. From the front desk reception to the room attendant Liu Ernv, every employee tried their best to ensure that my stay was as perfect as possible. The hotel's restaurant offers a variety of breakfast options, from traditional Chinese breakfast to Western pastries. The food is fresh and tastes wonderful, providing a vibrant start to my day. The Willow Hotel Lintong is undoubtedly the best choice for my trip. Whether it is a business trip or a leisure trip, this is an ideal place to stay. I highly recommend it to friends who plan to visit Lintong. I believe you will leave beautiful memories here like me.

As soon as we stepped into the lobby, the warm service from the front desk staff instantly washed away our travel fatigue. The room window opened to a cascading mountain view. In the evening, wrapped in a towel, we soaked in the hot springs, watching the sunset gradually change colors. The day's worries were completely washed away by the heat. The hot spring area was even more delightful: the herbal medicine pool exuded a subtle mugwort fragrance, leaving you feeling refreshed. The rose pool was filled with floating petals, creating a romantic photo filter. There was also a heated paddling pool designed specifically for children, perfect for families with children. Most thoughtfully, the staff were always available by the pool to offer hot towels and ginger tea, a touch of care hidden in every detail. The dining experience also didn't disappoint, with a rich breakfast buffet and convenient light meals for lunch and dinner. The front desk even gave us a souvenir upon departure, a warm touch that lasted from check-in to departure. If you're looking for a place to slow down and relax, this is the place to go. I'll be back soon!

The room is clean and service is good. We chose a bigger room but I think a normal size room is good enough. More important is the ventilation and air conditioning issue. There is always a little different smell or odor of air especially when rooms nearby is smoking. Different taste of smell of smokes comes into the room from air conditioning ventilation or through the gap I think. I cannot sleep well because I am a non smoker. For 5 nights I am inhaling a mini version of second hand smoke when sleeping, but after a few days my sense of smell is numb of the odor!

It's super close to the Xi'an Bell Tower, and a mere 300-meter walk to the Muslim Quarter, surrounded by countless halal food options – it's a paradise for Muslim travelers. W Hotel Xi'an · A truly fantastic 5-star experience, book with your eyes closed! **① Room** I booked a Wonderful room, and it felt closer to 60 sqm – super spacious! It had a separate entryway, walk-in closet, a bathroom with a dry/wet separation, a small living area, and the main bedroom. The space utilization was incredibly comfortable. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a direct view of Qujiang Pool, and at night, you could see the entire expanse of lights on the opposite bank (though you couldn't see the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the night view was still absolutely stunning). W's signature cloud bed and lemongrass scented toiletries made for such a comfortable stay; I slept until I naturally woke up. **② Service** Whatever/Whenever isn't just a slogan! I was half an hour late, and the front desk directly upgraded me to a high-floor lake-view room for free. In the middle of the night, I craved some snacks, and hot steamed dumplings + cold noodles were delivered in 20 minutes. Upon check-out, they even gave me osmanthus cake as a souvenir. I felt incredibly pampered throughout the entire stay; the attention to service details was perfect. **③ Breakfast** The variety was exceptionally rich! There were Chinese, Western, and Japanese options, but the local Shaanxi specialty section was even more appealing – freshly pulled biangbiang noodles, lamb paomo, roujiamo, zenggao, hulutang, and gaga tang were all available. There was also a live egg station, fresh fruit, and a bakery section. I ate until I was stuffed every day. **④ Location & Transportation** It's right by Qujiang Pool, offering a quiet yet upscale environment. It takes about 15 minutes by taxi to get to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Datang Everbright City. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda station on Metro Line 3/4 is about a 10-minute walk away, and it's also very close to the Muslim Quarter, Bell and Drum Towers, and the City Wall, making getting around completely effortless. **⑤ Other** I booked this stay through Trip.com, and the entire process was incredibly smooth. The pre-communication, invoicing, and points were all handled very well. Huge thanks to the Trip.com team!

We stayed for two nights, on the 16th and 17th. On the 15th, I received a call from the hotel asking about our room preferences. I requested a room with a good view, non-smoking, and quiet. When we checked in, the staff assigned us room 213. This was the lowest floor I've ever stayed on in a hotel, and it was room number 13! I was surprised that the hotel actually had a room 13! How could an international hotel like this assign room 13 to a foreigner? During afternoon tea that day, besides my husband, myself, and an Asian mother and daughter, all the other guests were foreigners. This made me realize even more why I was so unlucky to get room 13! This hotel has such a unique room number 13, and they treat their own compatriots differently from foreigners! However, the smart toilet in room 13 was broken. It wouldn't automatically lift the lid or flush when you stood in front of it. What was even more unbearable was that as soon as you sat on it, the toilet would make a loud gurgling sound and automatically spray water on your backside. We tried it twice, and it happened both times. Also, the light switch was malfunctioning and didn't work. As a result, our room was changed to room 206. Neither room 13 nor room 06 had a French garden view; you could only see trees outside the window. Room 06 overlooked a concrete platform. I stayed during the off-season, and there were only a handful of guests at both afternoon tea and breakfast. Even during the peak breakfast time at 8 AM, there were only four tables with no more than ten guests. In such an off-season, why couldn't they offer us a higher floor with a better view? The male butler from the hotel called in advance on the 15th to ask about my room preferences; wasn't that just being insincere and fake? The staff's service level was inconsistent. Two female servers at afternoon tea and breakfast simply didn't observe guests' needs. The slim, tall female server in the afternoon tea restaurant had an ice-cold expression and no proactive service awareness. One female server in the breakfast restaurant looked like she hadn't woken up yet, with messy hair, no makeup, and ill-fitting work clothes, completely lacking the demeanor of a star-rated hotel employee. More importantly, this server didn't proactively observe guests' tables. Every time, we had to call her to take away the empty plates. Even more exaggerated, when she took away empty plates, she wouldn't simultaneously take away empty cups, nor would she think to ask. Let's talk about the problems with the breakfast restaurant: First, the flowers on the dining tables were fake! For a 'diamond-level' hotel like this, how can they put fake flowers on the tables? If they want to save costs, there are many ways: place some air plants or soilless succulents, or even small, easy-to-care-for plants. Anything real would be more tasteful than these fake ones. Regardless, a 'diamond-level' hotel should not have fake flowers on its dining tables. This is disrespectful to guests. Second, there was a wide variety of bread, but no chain-type toaster to heat the bread. This is usually a staple at the bread station in five-star hotels. Yet, at this 'super five-star' hotel, you can only eat cold bread for breakfast. Third, the restaurant only provided toothpicks, not dental floss sticks. Nowadays, even very ordinary restaurants offer dental floss sticks. A 'diamond-level' hotel like this should provide guests with dental floss sticks, and ideally, toothpick brushes. Additionally, the steps in the bathrooms of both room 13 and room 06 were damaged. In room 13, the hotel actually used cheap, uneven gray adhesive corner guards, which looked very out of place and clashed with the exquisite French decor. They should have used brass stair nosings! During my two-day stay at the hotel, Ms. Doris Du's kindness, politeness, proactive work attitude, and professional image left a very good impression on me. After we checked in and received our key, she led us to our room. She first gave us a tour of the hotel and introduced its history. On the day we checked out, she happened to be on duty at the front desk. She was the only staff member at the hotel who immediately stood up to greet guests upon seeing them! The only one! This small professional gesture of hers was like the first ray of sunshine in the morning, warming my heart! Recalling my check-in, there was a male and female staff member at the front desk. They did not stand up to greet us when guests checked in. When we received our room cards and got up to leave, they remained seated without moving. This is disrespectful to guests. Staff should stand up to greet guests when they arrive, ask them to sit down, and then sit down themselves to process the check-in. When guests receive their room cards and get up, the staff should also stand up to see them off. Such basic courtesies of polite welcome and farewell were completely lacking! On the day I checked in, I had two items of clothing that needed ironing. The female staff member who was on duty at the front desk that day came to our room to collect them. During the process of opening the door to see her, handing her the clothes, and briefly communicating with her, she maintained an ice-cold demeanor throughout, without a hint of a smile. She was not the only female staff member in this hotel who provided service without a smile. In summary, all these issues, and more, expose the hotel's unprofessional training and inadequate management. Sofitel Legend People's Grand Hotel Xian is not directly affiliated with the Sofitel group; it is part of the People's Grand Building owned by Shaanxi Urban Investment and Operations Group Co., Ltd., and is operated by AccorHotels, a French hotel management group. Therefore, the experience was vastly different from the Sofitel hotels I've stayed at abroad.

We arrived late at night after a long drive. I had already noted in the booking that we needed two adjoining rooms. However, the rooms we were assigned were in an extremely remote location, almost at the end of the corridor, and upon entering, there was a strong smell of smoke. With children in tow, we had no choice but to request a room change. Although the new room was closer to the elevator, the sofa was a short one, inconsistent with the promotional photos. The next day, we discovered that our window faced directly onto the parking lot entrance and the kitchen chimney, and there was no balcony, making the comfort level extremely poor. During our discussion, the duty manager tried to shirk responsibility, claiming to be new and unfamiliar with the room types, but he has actually been employed for over three months (I saw your name in other reviews). His professionalism needs improvement. Although he later worked very diligently to bring in a longer sofa as a remedy, it took over an hour, leaving the room in a mess and severely impacting our check-in experience. Considering an average price of 1600 per night, and as a luxury hotel brand, room allocation and housekeeping services should not have these issues. I recommend choosing this hotel with caution. Additionally, none of the special activities included in our package were utilized.

Awesome stay experience, worth unlimited repurchase! I chose this hotel for this trip, from booking to check-out, full of surprises, completely exceeding expectations! First of all, praise the location, just in the core business district of the city center, a few minutes walk to the subway station, the surrounding dining, convenience stores, Kaiyuan shopping malls are not far away. Whether it is business travel or tourism, it is super convenient to check in, saving a lot of commute time. When checking in, the front desk staff was very enthusiastic, took the initiative to help with luggage, patiently answered various questions, and also intimately informed the surrounding play guide and breakfast time, the processing speed is also very fast, no need to wait for a long time. Entering the room was amazing instantly, the room was more spacious and bright than the picture, the decoration style was simple and atmospheric without losing warmth, the facilities and equipment were all available and very new. The mattress is moderately firm, the bedding is clean and tidy with a faint fragrance, and the height of the pillow is also very suitable, so that I, a light sleeper, can sleep well all night. The space is spacious and not crowded, the hot water supply is timely and the water temperature is stable, the toiletries are branded, the texture is very good, even the wind of the hair dryer is very sufficient. The WiFi signal in the room is full, the drama and office are not stuck at all, the TV programs are also very rich, and the details are full of intimate. Breakfast is a highlight! The restaurant is clean and tidy, with rich and varied dishes, Chinese buns, porridge, hot dishes, Western bread, coffee, salad, fresh fruit and exquisite desserts, fresh ingredients, authentic taste, can meet the needs of different tastes. The staff will replenish the dishes in time, clean up the table is also very diligent, and the dining experience is particularly good. In addition, the public areas of the hotel are also very clean, the elevator runs smoothly and quickly, there is no smell in the corridor, and it is also equipped with a fitness room and laundry room. The fitness equipment is complete. The laundry room equipment is also very new. It is too practical for people who travel for a long time. The staff was also efficient and fast when checking out, and also took the initiative to ask about the check-in experience, which was especially warm. All in all, this was a perfect stay experience, no matter the location, room facilities, catering service or the attitude of the staff, it was impeccable. . Man Xin Changanli Hotel Xi'an Bell tower was a gorgeous and modern hotel. The room was beautifully designed in warm colors and there was plenty of seating area--including a cute little tatami sitting area. The windows were floor-to-ceiling, with automatic curtains that move with a slight tug. The staff were very friendly. The view outside the window is an interesting picture of the city wall, but it wasn't very pretty--just the brick wall and little bit of the events on the top. The beds were too firm for me, but I'm used to softer beds. My friend said it was fine for her though. Despite how beautiful the room is, I would not stay there again. The temperature in the room would not go below 29c, even with the air conditioner turned on. When asked if they could come fix the A/C, the staff said this room was more ”natural” and people don't really use it, so there wasn't anything they could do. We had to open the windows to keep cool. Additionally, the air conditioner was so loud that when I first heard it, I thought someone was rolling a cart down the cobblestones outside the hotel window. It was almost as loud as the construction happening directly outside our window. Speaking of the construction, it didn't start until 7 or 8 pm at night and went through until 3-4am. Couldn’t close the window without turning the room into a hotbox, so it was extremely noisy between the sounds of the machinery and the workers shouting over it. I'm a light sleeper, so it was nearly impossible to sleep. Between the heat, the noise from the air conditioner, and the noise from the construction, I got almost no sleep during my three day stay. So it's a lovely hotel, but it's too noisy and uncomfortable.
