Station square

The station square is an integral part of China train stations, serving as the first point of contact for passengers arriving at or departing from the station. This square is the main entrance to facilitate smooth transitions between buses, metro, taxis and the train station.

Entrance and security check

The primary entry point for passengers often marked with large signs and located in front of the station. All passengers must pass through security screening, which includes X-ray machines for baggage and metal detectors for personal items.

Waiting and ticketing area

Staffed counters where passengers can buy, change, or refund tickets. Or there are automatic ticket machine for ticket redeeming.

The waiting area includes large seating areas, divided into sections based on ticket class and destination. These areas are equipped with electronic information boards displaying train schedules. For first-class and business-class passengers, VIP lounge offers more premium services.

Platform access

You have to pass the automated or staffed gates by scanning tickets to gain access to the platforms. Then follow the sign to the platform. Platforms are clearly marked with train numbers and destinations to the correct boarding area.

Exit and arrival areas

After disembarking, passengers pass through the gates, often requiring a ticket scan to exit. There are areas where arriving passengers gather, and clear signs to transform to metro, bus, or taxis. It often equipped with information desks, restrooms, and access to other services to help you finish the process.

## Location: Situated on Jianguomenwai Avenue within the Second Ring Road, this hotel offers a quiet retreat amidst a bustling area. Exploring the surroundings during my stay, I noticed its proximity to diplomatic apartments, indicating a generally pleasant neighborhood. Jianguomen subway station is just across the street, making it incredibly convenient to reach key attractions like Tiananmen Square and Qianmen Street. There's also Zigongyuan, a well-regarded Beijing restaurant chain, on a nearby street, and a commercial complex with numerous dining options about 500 meters away. ## Facilities: The hotel occupies an independent building with its own courtyard. While the lobby might not possess the grand opulence of a newly built five-star hotel, it's certainly refined and comfortable. I booked an 'Yue' floor room, which is higher than standard rooms, offering more expansive views. I could see the constant flow of traffic on Jianguomenwai Avenue and the cluster of high-rise buildings in the distance – truly a beautiful blue sky over Beijing that day! The room itself isn't huge but is perfectly adequate and well-equipped. Despite the hotel being established some time ago, the facilities are impeccably maintained and don't feel dated. The bedding, bathroom, air conditioning, and lighting were all excellent. The toilet even featured a bidet, and the toiletries were L'Occitane – a pleasant surprise! I also noticed toilet seat sanitizers in the public restrooms on the first floor, a thoughtful detail. The only minor drawback is likely due to the original design; there's no dedicated shower space, only a bathtub, so showering means standing in the tub. However, this wasn't a significant issue. ## Hygiene: Everything I could see, including some nooks and crannies I specifically checked, was spotlessly clean, as were the public restrooms. ## Service: The hotel staff were all proactive and friendly. The doorman would come out to assist with luggage and open car doors, and check-in was quite efficient. ## Food: I must commend the breakfast! It offered a wide variety of dishes, diverse flavors, and delicious tastes. Besides the usual live stations for noodles (soup noodles, 'dalu' noodles) and steamed buns, there were unique offerings like salt-grilled mackerel, salmon, sushi, and customizable miso soup, adding a Japanese touch. The fried eggs were even separated into two plates: one for over-easy and one for sunny-side up, a level of detail I've never seen at a hotel breakfast before. ## Overall Impression: I saw a review of this hotel online that I feel is particularly apt: 'Once a top luxury, now an excellent value-for-money choice.' Indeed, my two-night stay was completely hassle-free, and everything was impeccable (aside from some recent political remarks from a Japanese official that made me feel a little uneasy about the hotel's 'Japanese' elements). A price of around 1,000 yuan during the Spring Festival, including two generous breakfasts, a comfortable environment, and convenient transportation – it was a world apart from a mid-range chain hotel I stayed at in Wangfujing afterwards. Highly recommended!

Capital Hotel is located in a central area, making it easy to walk or take a taxi to various attractions. It's about 1 km to popular spots like Wangfujing. The subway station is a bit further, which can be a trek if you're hauling luggage. The room itself is very spacious, probably over 40 square meters, with an entryway that includes a small seating area. Beyond a dividing wall, there's a wardrobe and a bathroom with a bathtub. The layout is a little different from typical hotels, but the view is excellent – you can even see the Great Hall of the People from the room. The underfloor heating was quite warm at night. The hotel also boasts a beautiful long corridor and trees, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering fantastic views. Check-in service at the front desk was excellent; they provided detailed information about the hotel's amenities and activities. The luggage storage service was very responsible, noting down the number of items and contact person. Overall, a fantastic experience.

A great hotel. It's quite close to Peking Union Medical College Hospital, so there's a bit of traffic during morning rush hour. The front desk service is very professional, and check-in was quick. Even though it was cold in winter, the concierge service was excellent; there was always someone there to open the door for you.

An absolutely wonderful trip! The staff member Sunny added me on WeChat in advance and provided incredibly thoughtful and attentive service. Knowing it was my child's birthday, they specially arranged a birthday cake and upgraded us to a private suite with executive benefits, including unlimited coffee and soft drinks, and a business dinner where both kids ate for free. Zhang Fengwei from housekeeping on the 15th floor was always available during our stay, providing meticulous service. The bedding was high quality, and the kids loved the pool. For just over 1000 RMB, we enjoyed amenities worth over 3000 RMB – incredible value for money! The hotel's location is excellent; it's only about a 10-15 minute taxi ride to Tiananmen Square, the Military Museum, and Wangfujing. Every single staff member made us feel so welcome. Next time I'm in Beijing, I'm definitely staying at the Sofitel again.

I stayed at the Grand Millennium Beijing for two weeks, and overall, it was decent. The only standout positive was the two housekeeping ladies; they were absolutely amazing. For the last eleven days of my stay, 'Zhao Juanjuan' was my attendant, and she was incredibly thorough and attentive. She folded my clothes neatly every time. She remembered all my habits and room preferences, diligently helping me each day with my requests. She even helped air out cigarette smells, opened and closed windows according to my schedule, dealt with strange odors from the bathroom drain, and scrubbed the bathtub daily. Basically, she was always responsive to my needs, incredibly kind, and always enthusiastic to help. If I ever return to the Grand Millennium Beijing, I'd specifically want to stay on the floor she services. However, the hotel's policy on food delivery was frustrating. They wouldn't allow any deliveries to be left at the concierge, not even non-food items. It was really annoying. They only permit deliveries to be left in outdoor lockers, which means in winter, all your food gets cold. What's more, they have staff dedicated solely to pressing elevator buttons, so why can't they assign someone to bring deliveries up? There are no robots either, which was a real pain. I put up with it because I could see the 'Big Trousers' (CCTV Headquarters) from the lobby downstairs. Also, there was a persistent cigarette smell throughout the room, even in the bathroom. Another issue is that the hotel's decor is quite dated. There was a sewage-like smell from the sink, which made me want to gag while brushing my teeth in the morning. Everything else was fine. If you're looking for a newer hotel at a similar price, you could try the NUO Hotel Beijing or the Jing Guang Centre Hotel. But if you want to stay near the 'Big Trousers,' then the Millennium or Rosewood are your best bets.

The location is excellent, very close to the subway station. The service was attentive, and the hygiene was good – everything was clean and tidy, even if the facilities weren't brand new. However, for a hotel costing 900 yuan a night, the breakfast was incredibly cheap. Out of four hot dishes, three were instant sausages, and there was even spoiled cold mixed tofu skin (fuzhu) – the top layer was dried out and discolored, looking like it had been sitting there for days. Because of the great location, I stayed for six days, but from the second day onwards, I ordered breakfast delivery. I'd bring my takeout to the restaurant just to have some of their plain congee, which unfortunately lacked century egg and lean pork, despite being labeled as 'century egg and lean pork congee.' The buns in the picture are from my delivery.

I am very satisfied with this check-in experience, and I must praise it! The hotel has an excellent location, convenient travel, and the surrounding facilities are also complete. The front desk Zoey and Dennis served enthusiastically and thoughtfully. The check-in was efficient and fast, and the attitude was kind and patient. If you have any questions, they would answer them. The whole process made people feel very comfortable and at ease. The service is considerate, professional and warm. The overall experience is excellent and cost-effective. Staying at the Orange Crystal Hotel (Wangfujing Street, Tiananmen) was an absolutely perfect experience during my trip to Beijing! Choosing this hotel was a brilliant decision. The location is unbeatable, right next to Wangfujing Street, so you can step out and immediately hit the shops, try delicious food, and easily walk to key attractions like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. It made sightseeing incredibly convenient. Plus, there's a subway entrance directly across from the hotel, offering excellent public transport links, making it super easy to explore all over Beijing. The room itself was clean and tidy, with meticulous attention to detail – no dust in the corners, soft and neat bedding, and no strange odors. It was spacious and comfortable, with a simple yet stylish decor, making for a very relaxing stay. What truly impressed me was the front desk service; the staff were warm, friendly, thoughtful, and professional throughout. This hotel is definitely the top choice, whether you're visiting Beijing for leisure or business. I highly recommend it and will certainly stay here again on my next visit!

Whenever I'm in Beijing, I usually book at Communal. The location is excellent, and getting around by subway is super convenient. They even upgraded my room to a suite with a living room, fully equipped with everything I needed. The humidifier and air purifier were a really thoughtful touch. The soft drinks in the mini-bar were complimentary too. No need to worry about dry skin either, as they provide a large bottle of body lotion. The gym is on the 16th floor; you can get a good half-hour strength workout in. The hotel breakfast is also great. Although the space isn't huge, it's very refined. This time, I discovered the cold chicken breast salad was really delicious. I hope the quality remains consistent. I'll definitely return if I have the chance.

I booked this as a Novotel, but before check-in, I was told it had changed names. This might indicate some issues – perhaps the hotel didn't meet Novotel's standards. The hotel is quite old but well-maintained, with no obvious problems. The outdated design itself isn't a huge deal, but I genuinely can't understand the bathroom door's design – the handle pinches your hand, and the door doesn't close securely. For the price, the location is quite good. Within a few hundred meters' walk, you'll find Dengshikou Subway Station (Line 5) and Jinyukou Station (Line 8). Wangfujing Pedestrian Street is about a 15-minute walk away. I didn't use the hotel's breakfast. There are plenty of breakfast options on the way to Dengshikou Subway Station.

The room was tiny, with an internal window that made it feel cramped. The sink was also very small and integrated with the counter, which wasn't a great design. The bathroom was tiny and felt poorly maintained, and the showerhead was awkwardly positioned and non-adjustable – tough for shorter people! 😩 However, the location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk to the subway station and the Meridian Gate. They also helped us get a queue number for Siji Minfu, and the service was very good.

Whenever I visit Beijing for leisure or business, I always choose the Huacai Hotel. Not only is the location convenient, but as a Trip.com customer, I always seem to be selected as a 'lucky guest.' This New Year's Day holiday, I brought my child to the Huacai, and again, I was chosen as a lucky guest upon check-in! This time, I spent a little extra to upgrade to a suite. The service from 'Xiaoshi Beauty' (the staff member) was excellent; she even gave us a souvenir. Plus, parking was free, and they printed my child's homework for free – so lucky! The breakfast the next morning was also fantastic. The restaurant was decorated with a New Year's theme, featuring beautiful fruit towers, dumplings with messages of good wishes, and authentic old Beijing snacks. The breakfast selection was varied and creative, clearly showing the management's dedication. Five-star rating, highly recommended!

Very convenient for the airport express train (Use Exit A......the exit mentioned by an earlier reviewer is incorrect as that entrance is only for the suburban metro, but no big deal as the two entrances are only 10m apart). The room was excellent, as are the facilities (safe, fridge, hairdryer etc). The only small negative I could find was that while there as a jug to boil water, there was no tea or coffee. There were even several foreign language TV channels which was a pleasant surprise. I ate dinner at the hotel restaurant which only serves Chinese food, but it was excellent !! The only strange (slightly negative) was at check out was the receptionist asked me to review the hotel online. I told her I would, but she was quite insistent ”You MUST do it now” !! I told her I was hurrying to the airport and promised I would do it later. She didnt seem happy about that, but still gave me a little Year of the Horse gift which I think was supposed to be the reward for writing a review. Very strange as that was the only slightly negative thing during my stay !! Ironic! Anyway, that aside I thought it was an excellent hotel and great value. Will definitely stay again.

The room was great, with beautiful views, and room service was also good. However, when I asked the front desk about the children's activities during Chinese New Year, they told me to ask the restaurant. The restaurant said they weren't sure either. For the sushi-making activity for kids, we were told during the sachet-making activity in the afternoon that we could join in the evening. But when we went to join later, they said we had to dine at the restaurant to participate. In the end, after staff went back and forth, we were finally allowed to join – it was quite chaotic. Neither the restaurant nor the room was warm; the air conditioning didn't help. Only after staff brought a space heater did the room warm up a bit. Overall, the service feels incomplete and needs improvement.

Review: Stay Home This trip was like an encounter with prehistoric man and a case study of a failed business combined. If you book a standard room, you will be taken away from the five star reception area to another building which has the decor and standards of a thirty year old hotel. Faded carpets, peeling walls, smelly interiors, uncleaned floors and rooms which are impossible to heat. But it was just about liveable, in that it had a bed and hot water. What totally failed to impress were the amenities. We'd come for the children's stuff, the little zoo, water park and others. The price of these are not included in the hotel, and for each experience they charge adults and baby to the tune of 80rmb, meaning you will spend quite a bit to use it all. As soon as I saw the children's rides I became depressed, they were rusting and looked murderous, as if the nuts and bolts would be dislodged and explode fatally in all directions if a kid shook too heavily on the things. To even use anything suggested you'd become unclean as well. Then you attempt to ask staff something but stop when you realise how futile it would be to address someone with one eye in its forehead and the other in its chin, with their peers boasting similarly fascinating facial misalignments. An hour of that and we wanted to leave, including our baby. She would have been much happier at home playing with her toys, or rather just happy at home doing anything than being at the Nirvana resort. Anyway, the swimming pool is not free either, they will charge you 58 a person including child. When I went to ask about a swim, staff were downright stunned I'd walked in to ask such a question, watching as I entered and left with hillbilly intensity and incomprehension. You can see the park had a lot of money invested in it before, way back in the misty past, but I can't see them recouping their losses. The resort is a grab money scheme with separate interests taking care of, or neglecting, what is on offer. I can't see them attracting a moneyed middle class without a total overhaul. On the plus side, my wife and I did have a good laugh about how bad it was and the fact we'd packed for a few days in expectation of a holiday, but found ourselves cancelling after an hour. The reception was helpful with this and refunded our money. The staff are well meaning in a vacuous kind of way, going about their duties as the whole place drops about them, broken lifts, falling plaster, water leaks and all. But to be sincerely positive, the gardens are pleasant along with the lake and ducks.

I've been to this hotel several times for internal department meetings and team-building events, so I brought my family here for Chinese New Year. The hotel's location is super convenient, about an hour's drive from the city. The rooms are individual villas, offering a wonderful sense of harmony with nature ✌🏻, providing peace and tranquility for those busy with work. This is a five-star hotel under the international Hyatt chain, and during Chinese New Year, they were very well-staffed. Besides their consistently professional regular services, they also had thoughtfully prepared activities to celebrate the New Year and special dishes. Sunny, the lady who checked us in at the front desk, was beautiful, kind, and incredibly helpful, responding to every request with enthusiasm 😍. This was our second time visiting. **Room:** The family room has a bunk bed, but why is the bathtub right next to it? There are many sharp edges around the tub, making it very unsafe for a child to sleep nearby. Couldn't there be a partition between the tub and the bed? Also, the fitted sheet on the bottom bunk was significantly smaller than the mattress, with all four corners sticking up. When I asked a staff member about it, they said that's how it is and to just sleep like that. Only after I insisted did they change it to an adult-sized sheet. I asked for two more single duvets to use when sleeping with the kids, but was told not to even think about it. **Hot Springs:** The water was dirty, much worse than when we visited two years ago. I broke out in a very itchy rash on my legs the day we left. The changing room smelled terrible. **Buffet Dinner:** It cost 240 RMB per person, and there wasn't even any fresh green leafy vegetables. Overall, this experience was very poor. We likely won't be coming back.

St. Regis Beijing: Unforgettable Luxury and Flawless Service I recently concluded a truly exceptional stay in an Executive Room at the St. Regis Beijing and can confidently say the experience far exceeded expectations. If you are looking for a sanctuary of space and attentive service in the city, this is the place to be. The Executive Room: Space and Comfort The Executive Room itself was superb. The space was generous, feeling less like a hotel room and more like a private apartment. The design is elegant and classic, providing a very relaxing environment after a long day of sightseeing. One of the standout features was the walk-in wardrobe, which offered ample space to fully unpack and settle in—a small luxury that makes a huge difference on longer trips. Beyond the wardrobe, the room was stocked with a full array of amenities that spoke to the St. Regis's commitment to guest comfort and detail. Impeccable Service and Signature Touches While the room was excellent, the service elevated the entire stay to five-star status. The consistent turn-down service provided every evening was flawless, ensuring the room was refreshed and welcoming each time I returned. It's those little touches that define luxury. Most notably, the concierge service was truly excellent and invaluable for navigating Beijing. They were professional, knowledgeable, and exceptionally helpful. They effortlessly managed to secure a booking for a Peking Opera show, which was a fantastic highlight of my trip. Furthermore, their simple and effective directions were a lifesaver, making it easy and stress-free to get around the city. Final Verdict From the generous size and superior amenities of the Executive Room (especially that walk-in wardrobe!) to the consistently high level of service—particularly the knowledgeable concierge—the St. Regis Beijing is a flawless choice. Highly recommended for travelers seeking luxury, space, and a staff that goes above and beyond.

The location is excellent, with a subway station just a hundred meters away. It's very close to Wangfujing Street, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, and Oriental Plaza. The staff were okay, a bit cool but still helpful. The hotel is a bit old, and the facilities show their age. However, the room was clean and comfortable, and the bedding was just right—not too soft, not too firm. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, though mostly Western. The taste was great. The restaurant staff were very warm and friendly. We had a minor issue on the first night, but it was quickly resolved. Overall, it offers great value for money and I'd recommend it.

This hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable! It's right in the Wangfujing commercial area, just a 10-minute walk to the Forbidden City's Meridian Gate and 15 minutes to Tiananmen Square. It's super convenient for visiting Jingshan Park for panoramic views and the Temple of Heaven's Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. The National Museum is also nearby, making it perfectly tailored for tourists. The rooms are genuinely spacious! Our twin room easily accommodated a sofa and a small coffee table with plenty of room to spare, and the floor-to-ceiling windows let in lots of natural light. We could even open up all our luggage without feeling cramped. The cleanliness was meticulous, the bedding was incredibly soft, and the shower had great water pressure. The front desk staff were super helpful with directions. There are tons of malls and snack streets in the vicinity, so it was incredibly convenient to come back after a long evening of exploring. Great value for money – I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Beijing!

Hotel Jen Beijing has been my top choice since 2019; whenever I visit Beijing, I only stay here. On a day trip to Beijing, I chose the Rosewood Hotel near Sanlitun. The hotel is located in a relatively central area, but it's surprisingly quiet. I tried to check in at 11 AM and was told to come back between 2-3 PM. When I returned, I was informed the room was still being cleaned. It caused a slight delay to my plans, but nothing major. The pool is excellent, and the water temperature is perfect, around 29-30°C, I'd guess. I've stayed at the Peninsula and Ritz in Shanghai, and this pool environment is even slightly better. However, the changing room is a bit small, and I didn't see a sauna. The welcome fruit had a mango with green spots. I'm not sure if it was moldy or just how it was. The service was also great, though breakfast was moved to the 3rd floor due to renovations, so the variety was a bit limited. The juices were freshly squeezed. Overall, I'm quite satisfied and would likely return next time.

A truly perfect experience! No one is perfect, but with years of careful maintenance, the facilities here are truly impressive. We celebrated a traditional festival here, and everywhere felt warm and sunny. There wasn't a single uncomfortable moment; it was incredibly pleasant. My child even said they look forward to coming back. I also loved the hotel's toiletries, which made it feel like home and saved a lot of hassle. Kudos! Huge praise! The front desk service was warm and attentive. Chloe, the concierge, proactively communicated our needs and made thoughtful and appropriate arrangements. The room service was considerate and thorough, with great attention to detail – a big thank you to Judy and the younger staff member. Even when the restaurant was busy, it was well-organized, and the children's dinnerware was carefully designed, showing their dedication. My child was absolutely delighted and ate with great appetite. You can truly feel that every department and every employee at the hotel is responsible and dedicated, fulfilling their roles while also looking out for each other. It's stable yet dynamic, providing excellent service with the utmost sincerity. This stay was warm and rejuvenating, absolutely a full-mark recommendation! Just before we left, due to our travel schedule, I didn't have time to prepare food for my child on the road. The kind gentleman at the restaurant instantly grabbed a takeout box for me. I originally booked an executive room, but its size was the same as a standard king room, just over 40 square meters. I was told that upgrading to a 60-square-meter room with executive lounge privileges would cost an additional 300+ per night. What's worse, the executive lounge was closed during Chinese New Year, and I was only informed of this after checking in. All executive benefits (afternoon tea, evening happy hour) were moved to the lobby bar on the first floor. This completely compromised the privacy that executive privileges are supposed to offer, yet I was still charged the full price. Everything else was fine. I hope the hotel takes note of this, as it significantly impacts the guest experience.

For this friends' gathering, we wanted to experience a traditional courtyard hotel. We chose the Waldorf Astoria over the Aman, and it was an excellent experience! The room was very new and spacious, and the courtyard was beautiful. All the staff were incredibly thoughtful. Before check-in, our dedicated butler, Amber, contacted us to ask if we needed any anniversary decorations and about our bedding preferences. We arrived quite early, and our room wasn't ready yet, so they kindly prepared a room for us in the main building to rest. They guided us through the entire process, and the service was incredibly detailed and attentive, giving us a fantastic first impression right from check-in. For breakfast, we opted for room service. The variety was extensive, with American, Continental, Chinese, and even low-fat options. Staff member Will also provided very attentive service. The hotel even offered a complimentary travel photography service. Although it was raining, the photographer (a young man named Yueqian) found great spots, and the photos turned out natural and beautiful. While taking photos in the courtyard, we met another staff member, Judy, who was very enthusiastic. She gave us many tips on photo locations and also told us about fun places to visit in Beijing. Location: Great, right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, very convenient for guests to explore on their own without needing to be guided all day. Ambiance: It seems to be an older hotel with a rather fancy, old-fashioned decor, not very modern. Service: It would be better if the lobby had a more formal and free waiting area for guests. Courier service convenience: Yes, there's a dedicated spot for packages, which was handy as I sent out many samples. Picking them up was quite easy. There are too few places to work on the first floor, only two tables, and one was already reserved. Very limited options, and the other seating wasn't suitable for laptop use. I first stayed at this Ascott property shortly after it opened and had a great impression. The location is even better than their Beijing branch, right off Huaihai Road and Xintiandi. Over ten years later, I brought my wife and child back for another stay. I was a bit hesitant given the lower online ratings, but felt compelled to revisit. I suppose overseas Chinese and foreigners tend to prefer this type of serviced apartment more. I believe this consumption habit and concept will become more prevalent in China in another twenty to thirty years. I was pleased with the complimentary suite upgrade from the front desk, but disappointed with only getting a single breakfast. Thankfully, Trip.com honored my request. The breakfast was quite simple, but for an international serviced apartment, it's understandable.

My family and I recently stayed at the Shanghai Agile Marriott Hotel City Centre while visiting Shanghai, and if I had to sum up my two-day experience in one word, it would be ”impeccable”! From the moment I stepped out of the car, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere. First and foremost, I must give a huge shout-out to Koi from the front desk! From the start, Koi greeted us with a sincere smile that instantly made us feel at ease. Not only was she highly efficient, but she was also incredibly attentive. We arrived a bit too early before our check-in time. Seeing that we had luggage and elderly parents with us, she quickly arranged a quiet room on a high floor near the lift for us. She also patiently explained the hotel's facilities and breakfast. Thanks to her enthusiastic service, our travel fatigue melted away, and our first impression of Shanghai couldn't have been better! As for the hotel itself, the location is absolutely superb! It's just a few minutes' walk to the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, and it’s incredibly convenient whether you want to go shopping or see the night view at the Bund. The room was pure Marriott quality – spacious, bright, with comfortable bedding, and a beautiful view of the bustling city skyline. Watching the lights of Shanghai at night from the window was a fantastic experience. The hotel facilities are also top-notch. The speed of hot water in the shower was instant, unlike many hotels where I had to wait a few seconds. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices, with both Chinese and Western dishes available, catering to all tastes. Overall, our stay was made even more memorable thanks to Koi's excellent service. Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The room had a breathtaking view of the Bund and the 'three-piece suite' (Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Tower, and Shanghai World Financial Center). The food at the Executive Lounge on the 3rd floor of the East Building was also delicious. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner were all very good. Rosten provided excellent service, and the butler, Lorna, whom he arranged for us, was exceptional. She called us in advance to confirm our room preferences and helped us secure a room. She even upgraded us to an Executive Lounge room type. Upon arrival, she helped us coordinate our room, and when we found the TV couldn't screen mirror, she brought us an extra mirroring device. She truly paid attention to our needs and helped us resolve issues. However, the service was a bit hit-or-miss. The front desk staff who checked us in not only failed to assign us the room that the butler had secured for us but also disregarded our request for a Pearl Tower view, assigning us a room in the East Building with a Bund view. Then, she self-importantly declared, ”Please trust my taste.” But a service person's taste should not outweigh a customer's needs. This front desk staff member might lack the most basic respect for customer requirements. Fortunately, after some coordination, we were able to switch to a room that met our needs, and the rest of our stay was very pleasant.

The dining, accommodation, and shopping experiences were all very impressive. It's a great alternative to traveling to Japan. However, it's a shame that the TV channels didn't include Japanese, but rather a bunch of Spanish ones. I assume some department made that decision, thinking they knew best – in Shanghai, of all places!

This was my first stay at an Andaz hotel, and the location is absolutely fantastic. Xintiandi is just across the street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. However, the decor and facilities are quite dated, definitely not up to five-star standards, and the lobby feels a bit low-end. The front desk service on the first day was also just mediocre. On the bright side, the breakfast spread was excellent and made up for the shortcomings in the room facilities. Plus, the mini-bar had complimentary soft drinks and 5100 mineral water. Overall, I'm still quite satisfied with my stay.

Amazing, fun-filled memorable stay again at this truly wonderland hotel. This is my second time to stay here and as usual from beginning to end, it is truly exemplary. All the staff we’ve encountered are all friendly possessing excellent customer service. I had a good 4 nights' stay at the Pagoda Wujiaochang. Checkin / checkout was a breeze. The room is impressive - clean and comfortable with anything one may need in a hotel. The bed is soft and comfortable which is essential especially for a business traveller. Takeaway deliveries are sent up to the room by robots. And the location near the stretch of restaurants along Daxue Road and the train metro access nearby is also a plus. Overall, very good experience. Thanks. KK

I stayed here for one night. I came here after leaving another hotel that wasn't good. I'm so glad that I came here instead. I really got such a good night's sleep. One of the hotel staff, Ekko, was extra helpful in answering my questions in English, allowing me to stay longer in the lobby while I waited for my friend and even offered me a bottle of water. He was very welcoming! The the bed is so comfortable and soft and the hotel is very clean. And the breakfast is also delicious. You also have a vending machine on the first floor that takes digital payment and a mini refrigerator in your room. There's also a smart TV with HDMI and screen mirroring. It's great value for money and it's also just a really comfortable place to stay. The interior design is really beautiful and eclectic. I think you'll have fun just hanging out in the lobby, good music playing, for a couple hours doing some work at one of the many sitting areas in the lobby, if you're a digital nomad like me. Really nice vibe!

The hotel's location is super convenient, with plenty of dining options and easy access to transportation, making getting around a breeze. From the moment I checked in, the service felt incredibly friendly; all the front desk staff had great attitudes. I was especially happy that Kingsley at the front desk helped me choose a room with a great view and assisted with several adjustments and issues, which made me feel very comfortable. The room itself was clean and cozy, and the bedding was indeed top-notch, making for a truly comfortable stay and excellent sleep at night. All in all, it’s a hotel where you can truly relax, with the ambiance, service, and comfort all being spot on. I really don't understand why this place only has a 4.4 rating. We stayed in room 3009, which the front desk upgraded for us. The room was spacious, quiet, clean, tidy, and had large windows letting in plenty of sunshine. The adjacent room, 3010, was a bit smaller. The elevator was fast and quiet, much better than the one at another duplex apartment in Zhengjia Plaza. When we arrived, two handsome young men immediately came to help us with our luggage and brought it to our room. By the way, even a five-star hotel like the Garden Hotel doesn't offer this kind of service; we always have to carry our own luggage there, without even a chance to tip. The breakfast was small, exquisite, and delicious – perfectly adequate. The view from outside the restaurant was lovely; enjoying breakfast while looking at the scenery outside the window in the morning put us in a great mood. The restaurant staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, thumbs up! This was the most satisfying hotel of our trip, and we've stayed at places like the Jin Mao in Shanghai, the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou, and the Howard Johnson in Sanya.

The facilities are old and the environment is just so-so! The hygiene was really bad. I thought the bedside table had scratches from age, but when I wiped it, it was just a thick layer of dust 😓 so much dust, it looked like it had been specifically placed there! Most importantly, the room door had a terrible, strong odor, like moldy traditional Chinese medicine! If I wasn't traveling with my child, I honestly wouldn't have been able to tolerate it. 😖

Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich: A heartwarming stay that made me fall in love with this hotel, and this city! After a week-long trip to Shunde and Guangzhou, I absolutely have to write a heartfelt review for the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was touched by the thoughtful service of manager Nancy Zhang. She proactively upgraded my room, and her kind smile and genuinely warm words made me feel so welcome! This kind of hospitality, treating guests like family, instantly made me feel incredibly positive about Guangzhou! Room Experience: Quiet, Spacious, and Impeccable Details I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I opened the door! The room was over 50 square meters, with a city skyline view from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding was as soft as clouds, and the bathroom and walk-in closet were spacious. What impressed me most was the excellent soundproofing – once the windows were closed, I couldn't hear any street noise, ensuring a great night's sleep until morning! Hidden Gem: A Taste of Home Upon Arrival Just after I finished unpacking, Manager Nancy sent a staff member with a seasonal fruit platter to my door! ”Hello, these are our freshly arrived grapes, bananas, and honey oranges today. Please try them and see if you like them~” This feeling of being looked after was truly more touching than any luxurious amenity! Prime Location: Walking Distance to Zhengjia Plaza The hotel's location is fantastic! It's only a 10-minute walk downstairs to Zhengjia Plaza, a 4A scenic spot, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. It's also close to the subway and 24-hour convenience stores. In the evening, I strolled out to buy some traditional local desserts, experiencing the vibrant local life of Guangzhou – a perfect immersion into the local culture. From Nancy's five-star-plus service to the quiet comfort of the room, and the convenient location! True luxury is making people feel valued, both physically and mentally. I chose to stay at the Sheraton Guangzhou again. My flight arrived late at night, and I checked in well past midnight. I contacted the hotel in advance to reserve a room, and they gave me the high-floor room I prefer! Although Guangzhou has been quite hot these past few days, the air conditioning in the hotel was too cold. I had to call housekeeping again at night to ask for an extra blanket, and they brought it very quickly! I really have to commend the customer service staff; whether it was day or night, they were able to quickly resolve any requests and were always incredibly enthusiastic and polite! The hotel room was spacious and bright, the shower had great water pressure, and the toiletries were good too! The executive lounge only has a two-hour happy hour for dinner; otherwise, it only offers soft drinks. The dinner at the executive lounge was quite good, with delicious dishes and desserts! For breakfast, I chose the buffet restaurant on the 2nd floor. Since it was Chinese New Year and there were many guests, the breakfast area was very crowded, and everyone had to queue for a table. Luckily, the food selection was rich and of good quality. I highly recommend the wonton noodles; they taste fantastic! There's a wide variety of teas for breakfast, including red date and goji berry tea, red date and ginger tea, Hong Kong-style milk tea, floral tea, black tea, green tea, etc., all of which are good. Plus, you can take coffee and tea to go from the breakfast restaurant, which is a real bonus! The hotel's location is excellent, right near Tee Mall and Grandview Mall, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient! And since it's in the city center, getting anywhere is easy! Check-in and check-out at the front desk were both quick and efficient! I'll definitely stay here again!

I have to say, Garden Hotel truly lives up to its reputation as Guangzhou's veteran 'Platinum Five-Star' hotel. My stay this time far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I could feel the accumulated sense of luxury. The iconic 'Golden Waterfall' and the spiral staircase are visually stunning, both classic and grand, perfectly representing the essence of Guangzhou. What surprised me most was that the front desk upgraded me by several levels for free, straight to the Canton Suite! I was truly overwhelmed with luck the moment I opened the door. The space was incredibly spacious, and the details were full of Lingnan cultural charm, making for a truly comfortable stay. The back garden is definitely a treasure, a quiet oasis in the bustling city center. With its cascading waterfall, pavilions, and koi pond, taking a stroll and enjoying a coffee in the garden was incredibly relaxing. And the breakfast experience deserves special praise. My Spring Festival trip to Guangzhou was made excellent by choosing this hotel! First off, the location is superb. It's situated in the bustling Zhujiang New Town area, about 2 kilometers from Huacheng Square (a 10-minute bike ride) where you can admire the Canton Tower's night view, and just one stop away from Jinan University. The nearby Shipai East Road is a street packed with eateries, and across the way on Macang Road, there's a large shopping mall. Secondly, the value for money is outstanding. The rooms are spacious and bright with complete facilities, comfortable bedding, and clean linens. Multiple elevators ensure quick up and down access, and most importantly, the price is really affordable. Thirdly, the customer service is polite and thoughtful, and the breakfast is abundant and delicious (though you might skip it if you plan to experience Cantonese dim sum). It's trustworthy and deserves a big thumbs up! 👍👍👍 The only minor drawback is that the subway station is a bit far, but that's not a fault of the hotel itself.

We brought our child from Panyu to Bishuiwan Hot Spring Resort for a two-day, one-night stay, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! We checked in smoothly at 12 PM, rested a bit after lunch, and then enjoyed the hot springs. The water quality was great, the environment was clean, and our little one had an absolute blast. In the evening, to manage our weight, the adults skipped dinner, but we ordered a delicious plate of stir-fried beef noodles for our child at the German Beer Plaza. The next day, the hotel's breakfast buffet was rich and varied, with a wide selection and great taste. Our child was incredibly happy with the food. In the morning, we enjoyed another relaxing and pleasant hot spring session. The whole experience was comfortable and unhurried, with great attention to detail. For instance, there were service staff near every hot spring pool offering tea and water, and if you wanted to take photos, waterproof phone pouches were provided at various spots. With the beautiful weather today, we even went for a short hike with our child. Mountains, water, sunshine – it was truly delightful! The entire trip, including subway travel from Guangzhou Panyu to Conghua Bus Station, round-trip taxis from Conghua Bus Station to the hot spring resort, and all food, accommodation, and activities, cost around 1500 yuan. My room was a luxurious suite with private bath tub (around hkd 3000 for two nights including breakfast). Hardware is definitely exceptional. However when it comes to service it is below standard: 1) front desk - service was poor without any greetings such as bell boy. Front desk officers were unhappy without any eye contact when they talk to you. No hospitality at all; 2) breakfast - the quality both food and service were not up to a 4 or 5 star service. Table was not clean, staffs were almost unfriendly, except one female manager and one staff, all staffs were rushing their task and unwelcoming. I believe the hotel management need to motivate their staff ,otherwise, people won’t come again. 3) Amnenties - room is a luxurious suite with private bath tub, massage chair, kitchen , dining table and queen bed. The tub was not very clean, with water splitting . Such a waste as their service was not meeting the standard of what it is expected to be a 5- star resort. (The environment, garden were nicely decorated indeed) The Hot Spring pool is well known but I have’s try so cannot comment. I won’t come to this resort again, if the service of the hotel haven’t improved. And I won’t recommend travelers with kids who is looking for a family friendly and good service resort. Here's my breakdown of the good, the average, and the bad: **The Good:** The elevators are incredibly fast, much quicker than at the Four Seasons. The shrimp dumplings at breakfast were delicious. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job, even neatly folding my clothes and arranging my cosmetics. I can understand why check-in is around 4 PM, given how meticulous the cleaning is. **The Average:** The service wasn't as bad as some other guests described; it met the standards I'd expect for this price point. Bellhops were available to assist with luggage at both check-in and check-out. However, that's where it ended. The concierge at the entrance didn't offer a greeting, and greetings in the hallway were barely audible. When I stayed at the Conrad Xiamen and the Waldorf Astoria, they always provided a nightly dessert service. **The Bad:** What truly angered me was the security guard checking people in the elevator. As a solo traveler, it's easy to get disoriented by the winding corridors. When I asked for directions, he immediately demanded to see my room card. He couldn't even swipe it himself and had to ask the front desk to do it. After all that, there wasn't a single apology. Is it acceptable to treat solo travelers like this? Secondly, the room only had one sink, and it wasn't even in the bathroom. I had to walk out of my way just to wash my hands. Also, to drain the sink, you have to pull a lever underneath, and there were no instructions for this. The room's perceived size is far less than 50 square meters because the entrance partition significantly reduces the visual space. I stayed here after a visit to the Four Seasons, and for the same price, you can get a scenic room over 60 square meters there. Even their 2014 rooms have fully automatic toilets, while this place still has a semi-automatic one that requires manual flushing. I'm speechless.

For this Guangzhou vacation, my child has always loved Shangri-La, so we didn't hesitate to stay here again. Overall, our experience was very satisfying. We stayed in the Horizon Club for four consecutive nights. The housekeeping staff were incredibly diligent, keeping the room spotlessly clean and tidy every day, which made our stay very comfortable. They definitely deserve high praise for that. The only minor drawback that affected our overall experience was a small incident at breakfast on our departure day: Since we had an 7-8 hour high-speed train ride that day, we hadn't had time to prepare snacks the night before, and my child had only eaten a little before going for a walk. After I finished my breakfast, I remembered that the check-in slip on the first day mentioned a takeaway service. So, I asked a staff member about how to pack food. They told me I could place the bread on the table first. I picked a plate of bread, but when I went back to another staff member to ask for a takeaway bag, I was told that packing was not allowed. The situation was quite awkward at the time. I didn't argue further, but just asked what to do with the plate of bread. In the end, the staff member simply took away the bread I had selected. We stayed for four consecutive nights, with breakfast and dinner included, and didn't even dine at the hotel for several of the dinners. Honestly, we weren't concerned about the cost of a few pieces of bread. However, the inconsistent information and being directly refused and having the food taken away in front of us truly dampened our mood. What could have been a thoughtful service that enhanced our stay ended up bringing our perfect accommodation experience down to just barely passing.

The hotel has a retro-style decor, and the first floor is quite photogenic. It's convenient for shopping and dining nearby, directly across from the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (Tianhe Campus). Downstairs is Tianyu Plaza, and on the first floor of Tianyu Plaza, there's a Miniso, so if you're traveling urgently and forgot toiletries, you can quickly sort it out. If you're coming specifically for shopping, you might want to stay closer to Zhengjia Plaza or Taikoo Hui, as you don't necessarily have to choose this hotel. It takes over 20 minutes to walk from喆啡锐 to Zhengjia Plaza, and there's an Ibis by Huazhu right next to Zhengjia. In fact, there are many hotels in this area at a similar price point, all very convenient for getting around, shopping, and ordering takeout. Drawbacks: The hotel's afternoon tea selection is too limited, the hairdryer in the bathroom isn't a Dyson, and the bathroom has a bit of a leak; water seeps into the adjacent toilet area after a shower. Also, it was quite startling when the electric toilet suddenly opened and flushed by itself past midnight! 😓 Soundproofing is average; you can hear people walking or opening/closing doors outside, but I always bring earplugs so I managed to sleep fine. Overall: The staff are all very friendly and polite. The afternoon tea and breakfast options are limited, and some of the room furnishings, like the tables, are a bit worn out. The Langham Guangzhou is a large and stylish hotel with excellent service, and it's my go-to choice whenever I visit Guangzhou. I'd highlight a few great points: the bathrooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean; the breakfast spread is incredibly rich (though the queue for freshly made rice noodle rolls can be quite long); Pazhou is conveniently located, not far from areas like Tianhe and Zhujiang New Town, with taxi rides costing less than 20 RMB; and the Ming Court Chinese restaurant serves delicious food. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Guangzhou.

Hotel was very convenient to attend Canton Fair. Right next to Shiqiao metro station exit B. Price was very reasonable given it was Canton fair week when prices are usually higher. Chinese breakfast was sufficient. Plenty of restaurants nearby to eat at but not much else. If you just need a clean bed at reasonable price to get in and out of Canton fair, then can recommend this hotel. It has the basics well done.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and I really appreciate its prime location, which is extremely convenient for travel and getting around the city. During my most recent stay, I noticed that the water pressure in the room was a bit unstable and the water temperature would fluctuate, sometimes becoming too hot or too cold. It would be highly appreciated if the hotel could look into this issue and arrange for proper maintenance to improve the experience for future guests. On a positive note, I would like to give special praise to Jossce at the front desk, who provided thoughtful and professional service, and arranged my room properly and efficiently. Thank you for the warm and helpful service.

I planned a trip during the Chinese New Year and compared several hotels before finally choosing the Four Points by Sheraton Shenzhen. I was drawn to its location, and we arrived as scheduled on the fifth day of the New Year. Our group of six took a taxi from Shenzhen Bao'an Airport to the hotel, which took about half an hour. I guess there wasn't much traffic due to the holiday. Upon arrival, I noticed it's in the Futian Free Trade Zone, and Futian District is Shenzhen's city center, close to Futian Port. The hotel has a fairly large footprint. The lobby has an old-money vibe, which is understandable as it's one of Shenzhen's older five-star hotels, so it's a bit dated. We booked one Deluxe King Room and two Select Twin Rooms. The hotel is divided into an East Wing and a West Wing. The Deluxe King Room was in the East Wing, and the Select Twin Rooms were in the West Wing. It's worth noting that the two buildings are quite far apart. You can access the East Wing directly from the lobby floor, but for the West Wing, you need to take an elevator up to the 5th floor, then navigate three corridors, walking for about a minute to reach the West Wing, and then use your key card to go up to your floor. It's a bit of a trek and not a direct elevator ride. I suspect the West Wing was added later. The Deluxe Room was slightly smaller and only had a bathtub. The king bed was 1.83 meters, quite large. The Select Room, I believe, is an executive room; it was very spacious, probably around 30 square meters. The twin beds were 1.35 meters, which is good compared to the 1.2-meter beds in other hotels. The bedding was very comfortable and soft. The bathroom had a shower. Although the hardware is a bit old, the service is excellent. The soundproofing in this room is genuinely good; we stayed for four nights and didn't hear any noise. Especially the surroundings of the Select Room – it was high, spacious, and open, creating a very comfortable and un-claustrophobic environment. The cleanliness was also superb. The hotel staff were very warm and friendly; it definitely lives up to five-star service. The breakfast was standard, meeting the hotel's expected quality. If you don't include breakfast, it's 88 RMB per person for the buffet. Getting around is also very convenient. Taxis and subways are readily available, and there are plenty of shared bikes (Mobike, Ofo, etc.) nearby. We cycled around the city many times. In February, Shenzhen was already warm enough for short sleeves, making cycling very pleasant. For those going to Hong Kong, you can reach Futian Port by shared bike in 3 minutes to take the subway to Hong Kong, or take a taxi for 10 minutes to Futian Station (Gate 12A) and take the high-speed rail for 14 minutes to Hong Kong West Kowloon. Crossing the border is also very quick now. This trip to Shenzhen was a great experience, mainly because I slept so well due to the excellent soundproofing; there was no noise at all. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shenzhen, which is why I'm leaving this review. The hotel offers a station transfer service (shuttle bus): Didn't get a chance to use it.

Pros: Great location, with good views from the higher floors. There's a nice terrace on the fourth floor perfect for watching the light show at night. The rooms have large windows offering great views, and parking is quite convenient. Cons: The facilities are outdated. There isn't even an outlet next to the bed. The air conditioning hums loudly and constantly. When I requested an extra comforter from room service, they refused and told me to just use a blanket? The breakfast was absolutely dreadful, I can't even begin to describe it. Overall, this hotel seems to be resting on its laurels, not bothering to improve because its prime location guarantees guests. They've clearly cornered the business traveler market.

I booked this hotel last minute after spending two days in Dameisha, and to my surprise, the experience was fantastic. From service to ambiance, dining to cleanliness, the Ritz-Carlton perfectly showcased the quality expected of a top luxury hotel. The day before check-in, a staff member contacted me to inquire about my preferences and schedule. The next day, I had a smooth check-in, and they thoughtfully prepared toiletries for my child. I had seen some reviews saying the hotel wasn't very welcoming to children, but that's absolutely not true! From the doorman to the lobby staff and every other team member I encountered, everyone was incredibly warm, sincere, and polite. Traveling with my two children, I felt truly touched by their kindness. The room was clean, bright, and airy, with not a speck of dust in any corner. The bedding was comfortable, and they even offered a variety of pillows to choose from, which was a huge plus for a picky sleeper like me. The breakfast was rich and exquisite – and I say that based on comparisons with other hotels in the same price range. The outdoor pool also deserves a special mention; the night view, in particular, was stunning, far more impressive in person than in pictures. This time, I was short on time and couldn't experience the spa, but I did try the indoor hot spring and steam room, which were incredibly relaxing and washed away the fatigue of a long day. To sum up the Ritz-Carlton in one sentence: it's a hotel you won't want to leave, and one you'll definitely return to.

This hotel cum service apartment is distinguished by a few outstanding features : room functions activated by vocal command smart system (just shout out the directive and curtains will be drawn or the aircon adjusted to your desired temperature, except that the directives have to be issued in Mandarin which might then pose a problem to foreigners unfamiliar with the language); a comfortable lobby lounge with free drinks (the coffee is great) and an equally comfortable reading room with a selection of books next to the gym and roof terrace on the ninth floor; a front verandah with decking and al fresco furniture that provides a calm oasis at the heart of vibrant Dongmen. I came here due to its reputation and was utterly captivated by this place's style and quality. Even though it's been open for a while, it still exudes an air of understated luxury, perfectly embodying what it means to be timeless and enduring. This experience is truly a rare find. The moment you step inside, you're enveloped by a sense of refinement and opulence. There's no deliberate ostentation, but rather a subtle, sophisticated elegance. Every fixture, every detail has been meticulously crafted, with carefully selected materials and graceful lines. It's a blend of vintage and luxury, imbued with a profound sense of history that comes with age, as if every corner holds a story from time past – quiet yet undeniably grand. What's most surprising is that even after years of operation, it's maintained as if it were brand new. The walls, soft furnishings, and facilities are all impeccably preserved, showing no signs of wear or age. The cleanliness and quality are consistently top-notch. You can clearly feel the dedication and passion of the owners, who have transformed the marks of time into a unique charm rather than flaws of old age. It possesses both the graceful dignity of old-school luxury and the refined state of something completely new. These two qualities merge perfectly, offering a warmth and depth that new places lack, and an exquisite refinement that old places often miss. Being here, you can feel the historical ambiance shaped by time, while also enjoying the ultimate in luxurious comfort. The service throughout is attentive and thoughtful, perfectly matching the high-end tone of the place – not overly intrusive, but just right. Whether you're relaxing for a short while or immersing yourself in the experience, it's incredibly comforting. This beauty, which remains radiant through the years, is truly unforgettable. It's definitely a treasure worth revisiting again and again, having truly perfected the art of blending luxury with a sense of history.

On vacation in Shenzhen, I missed my return flight. For the first few days, I stayed at the Kaisa Marriott (far from the airport, by the sea), but I didn't want to travel back and forth and risk missing another flight. So, I found a nice hotel nearby. I have to say, the Four Seasons Shenzhen truly lives up to its name. When I checked in, the front desk attendant was incredibly friendly and approachable, which was a refreshing change from the cold, robotic service at some other hotels – definitely worth praising. Then there's the lobby, the natural light is absolutely unbeatable! There's a grand piano next to the bar, and we happened to see someone playing it. The soft sunlight streaming in made for a truly delightful scene, giving me an excellent first impression of the hotel. As for the room, I was very pleased with the fantastic sound quality of the speakers and the superb view. Although it wasn't on a high floor (I personally prefer staying in very tall hotels), the high-rises opposite perfectly conveyed the hustle and bustle of Shenzhen. The hotel's location is also excellent; the Ritz is directly opposite the Four Seasons, it's only about ten kilometers from the airport, and there's a pedestrian street right next door, making it incredibly convenient to go anywhere. Around 10 PM, we had a few cocktails at the lobby bar, and the atmosphere was super chill. Now, for some minor suggestions after listing the pros. First, the lobby bar closes way too early! It stops service at 11 PM. The front desk attendant even joked, ”I also think drinks should be enjoyed until the early morning hours.” I hope the bar can stay open until midnight so we can relax, chat, and enjoy the Shenzhen vibe a bit longer. Also, I hope the doormen can be a bit more attentive. Since there were four of us arriving in a business van, and each of us had luggage, I wished the doorman would react more quickly and have two more people help with our bags, instead of just one person deliberating on how to carry all our luggage. But these are minor issues. All in all, this Four Seasons experience was a quintessential luxury hotel stay. I hope the hotel continues to strive and maintain the Four Seasons' reputation and service. I look forward to even more delightful surprises on my next stay.

Location: Incredibly convenient! It's right near the H exit of Bell Tower Metro Station. After visiting the Terracotta Warriors, the bus dropped us off right in front of the hotel at Bell Tower Station. We could see our hotel as soon as we got off, which meant we could rest immediately – the location is just perfect! It's also very close to the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, so we just walked back in the evenings. Service: The staff in the lobby on the first floor, the front desk on the second floor, the cleaning aunties, and the hotel's personal butler were all warm, thoughtful, and had excellent service attitudes. Room: The environment is clean and bright, and you can open the window for ventilation. The sink drains very quickly with no strange odors, and the shower water pressure is great, which I really liked. The toilet is also clean and automatically heated, which is a nice touch. After a day of sightseeing, you can really get some good rest here at night.

The hotel's guest services proactively contacted me two days before check-in to add me on WeChat. Overall, my stay was excellent: 1. **Location & Transportation:** It's right next to Longshouyuan Station on Metro Line 2, making it convenient for both taxis and the subway. There's a decent-sized mall across the street, and Impressions City, along with the Yeweiyang night market street, are within a 10-minute walk – very convenient. 2. **Dining:** The hotel's breakfast buffet is quite extensive, offering a good mix of Chinese and Western options. They also feature local specialties like 'paomo' (crumbled unleavened bread in lamb broth) and 'saozi' noodles. On the second floor, there's a popular steakhouse with good food and reasonable prices. The in-room dining service is also affordable; I recommend the 'paomo' and 'roujiamo' (Chinese hamburger) – both are authentic and delicious. 3. **Room Facilities:** As an older five-star hotel, some facilities show their age and have minor issues, like a sticky door lock or a slow-draining sink. Personally, I found these easy to overlook. The 5th floor has an indoor heated pool, open daily, which is great for kids to play and relax. 4. **Hotel Service:** The service here is excellent, truly embodying a spirit of making guests feel at home. From the moment we arrived and they opened the car door and handled our luggage, to the complimentary suite upgrade and the fruit plate for my birthday – everything was perfect. My family was very satisfied with this stay, especially considering the great value for money. Highly recommended.

This is a well-established five-star hotel in Xi'an, boasting an excellent location right next to Xincheng Plaza, within the ancient city walls. You can quickly cycle to the Bell and Drum Towers from here. Despite its central location, it's nestled in a very quiet, private courtyard, giving you a sense of peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. Strolling through the courtyard, you can feel the profound historical changes Xi'an has undergone since the founding of the PRC. While some of the facilities inevitably show their age, you can tell they're diligently maintained. Upon arrival, an attendant will help carry your luggage to your room. The front desk staff are incredibly professional and courteous, resolving issues very quickly. Communication with Sofitel Legend Peoples Grand Hotel Xian was also seamless, and they facilitated the transfer of our luggage. I accidentally left a few items behind during check-in, but they handled the communication within minutes and had my belongings delivered to my new room at Sofitel Legend. Knowing our new room wasn't ready yet, they proactively helped with communication and offered a late check-out, making guests feel a profound sense of warmth, like coming home, especially during the New Year period. This level of service efficiency and attitude truly deserves praise. The breakfast spread is extensive, and the freshly made waffles are absolutely delicious – soft, sweet, and chewy. The only minor drawback was the crowd at breakfast during the New Year, but the tables were cleared quite promptly, and the cleaning staff worked incredibly hard.

I booked the Dongshe Hotel for my family visiting Xi'an, and they stayed for three days. They kept praising my choice of accommodation, saying it was incredibly comfortable. 1️⃣ **Thoughtful and Practical Facilities**: The room came with a humidifier and a spacious shower, with stable water temperature and good water pressure. The mattress was just right—not too soft, not too firm—and my family said they slept soundly for all three nights. The hallways and rooms were also spacious, making it easy to maneuver luggage. 2️⃣ **Impeccable and Reassuring Cleanliness**: My family reported that the cleaning was exceptionally thorough. The bedding and towels were soft and fresh, the vanity and mirror were sparkling, and the floors were so clean you could walk barefoot without a problem. 3️⃣ **Convenient Yet Quiet Location**: The hotel is right near the Muslim Quarter, so it's easy to step out for food and shopping. However, it's not on the main street, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustle. 4️⃣ **Proactive and Warm Service**: Hotel staff greeted them warmly every day, and there was even a hand-drawn map in the room, which was a lovely, thoughtful touch. Any small issues they encountered during their stay were resolved immediately.

To say it's completely terrible wouldn't be fair, but saying I was satisfied would mislead future guests. The hotel is about 500-600 meters from the subway, so it's not super close – a 10-minute walk. It's about 1 km from the entrance to the Muslim Quarter and around 800 meters from the Bell Tower. Walking distance is acceptable. Inside, the hotel rooms are quite small, and the window felt more like a fake one. There was quite a bit of damage inside, making me suspect this was an older hotel rebranded by Ramada. I booked it based on the Ramada name, but it really didn't live up to expectations; it was very different from other Ramadas I've stayed at. I ended up switching to another place last minute. The main photos the hotel uses are heavily Photoshopped. It's not a grand entrance just for the hotel itself, but rather a shared entrance for several businesses. While the hotel facilities are dated, the service was decent. They saw we were staying for a while and proactively offered two complimentary breakfasts, which I appreciated. What it lacked in hardware, it made up for in software, which did add a bit to the hotel's score.

Atmosphere: Warm and elegant, especially the lobby which offers afternoon tea. The cookies were surprisingly good, haha! Service: What impressed me most was upon entering the lobby to check in, a male staff member with a buzz cut (I assume from concierge?) immediately offered us two cups of hot tea. This small detail was just perfect, especially as we had just come in from the cold weather outside – it genuinely made us feel warm. A big thank you to that gentleman! The front desk and restaurant staff were also exceptionally helpful, always greeting our requests with a smile. ^_^ Facilities: I absolutely loved the smart toilet in the room and the heating. The lighting was also bright, and the room, including the bedding, was very clean. There were also welcome drinks. My only minor point is that the ceiling height felt a little low. Hygiene: From the hotel lobby to the room and the restaurant, everything felt very comfortable. The cleanliness was definitely up to par. If I ever get the chance to visit Xi'an again, or if friends are planning a trip, I would still highly recommend this hotel. We booked a 3-bedroom family suite. The first floor was spacious, and the second floor was a bit smaller, suitable for 4 adults and 1 child, or 5 people in total. The room was in an apartment building, not the main hotel building. They provided some snacks, and even a cake for my elder's birthday. It was quieter than the main building, though there were many people outside the window, making it a bit noisy. The location was excellent; the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda was right outside, surrounded by all sorts of shops. Traffic control was a bit annoying; to get a taxi, you had to walk a few dozen meters from the Ci'en Road intersection, near the High School Affiliated to Shaanxi Normal University. The facilities were a bit old but acceptable, and the cleanliness was decent. The price was reasonable for weekdays but too expensive during holidays. The breakfast selection was a bit limited and lacked character. However, the executive lounge could double as dinner, saving us a meal expense.

There is always a little different smell or odor of air especially when rooms nearby is smoking. Different taste of smell of smokes comes into the room from air conditioning ventilation or through the gap I think. I cannot sleep well because I am a non smoker. This was my first stay at the Sofitel Legend Xi'an, the only Sofitel Legend property in mainland China under Accor's luxury brand. The hotel boasts an excellent location at 319 Dongxin Street, Xincheng District, Xi'an, close to many historical sites like the Bell Tower. The People's Mansion complex at 319 Dongxin Street houses four hotels: Sofitel Legend Xi'an, Sofitel Xi'an on Renmin Square, Grand Mercure Xi'an on Renmin Square, and Mercure Xi'an on Renmin Square. The surrounding area is well-equipped with amenities, making transportation incredibly convenient. After the founding of New China in 1949, to meet the needs of official foreign接待, the Xi'an People's Mansion was established in 1953 in the ancient capital of Xi'an. It was then the largest, best-equipped, and highest-standard foreign affairs guesthouse in the Northwest region, initiated and overseen by the leaders of the Northwest Military and Political Committee. In the early 21st century, with the deepening of reform and opening-up and the flourishing tourism industry, under the unified leadership of Shaanxi Investment Group Co., Ltd., the People's Mansion entrusted Accor Group Hotel Management Company to professionally operate and manage the hotel cluster within the complex. Significant funds were invested, initiating a continuous upgrade and renovation project that lasted over ten years. This ultimately resulted in the creation of Mercure, Grand Mercure, Sofitel, and the fifth and only Sofitel Legend hotel in the world located in China. To the east is the Sofitel International Convention and Exhibition Center, which officially opened after 2000. This center features a pillar-less grand ballroom, 11 multi-functional meeting rooms, and a specialty Chinese restaurant. To the west is the Sofitel People's Theater. The theater, built in 1954, was renovated and upgraded after 2000, becoming an important venue for political and cultural activities in Shaanxi Province and even the entire Northwest region. From 1953 to 1974, the People's Mansion was not open to the public, with its main entrance guarded by Chinese People's Liberation Army soldiers, conveying both a sense of solemn strictness and an intriguing mystery of that era. In 2014, Building 1 of Xi'an People's Mansion completed its refurbishment. Building 1 of the People's Mansion stands in the heart of the ancient capital, carrying the city's glorious memories since 1953. It once served as an important venue for receiving state guests, and has now been magnificently transformed into the Sofitel Legend Xi'an, retaining its historical heritage while exuding a new brilliance of French elegance and contemporary luxury. The Sofitel Legend Xi'an embodies luxury that is never ostentatious; it is subtly hidden in meticulously crafted details. We firmly believe that true respect goes beyond magnificent spaces and lies in a refined response to lifestyle. The Sofitel Legend hotel has eight floors. The basement houses the spa, the ground floor features the lobby, with the front desk on the left, along with a swimming pool, a museum, a fitness center, and the Roman Holiday Italian Restaurant. The second floor offers meeting rooms and a business center. The hotel offers four types of suites: a 61 sqm Premier Suite, a 98 sqm Luxury Premier Suite, a 133 sqm Imperial Suite, and a 183 sqm Chang'an Suite. The 61 sqm Premier Suite is well-designed, with a quiet and comfortable room and fresh, pleasant air. Upon entering, there's a living room with a minibar, followed by the bedroom. Beyond the bedroom, there's a bathtub and a separate wet and dry bathroom with a shower. The hotel staff were professional and enthusiastic. I spontaneously decided to visit Xi'an for two days. The night before, I stayed at the JW Marriott. The architectural style and design of Marriott hotels have always appealed to me, and as expected, my stay at The Ritz-Carlton this time was a fantastic experience. In a word: well-deserved. First, let's talk about the positives. As soon as I got out of the car, the doorman warmly opened the door for me, took my luggage, and escorted me to the front desk. The hotel's decor is a superb blend of Western luxury and Chinese (or rather, Xi'an-style) classical elements. It's even better than the JW Marriott I stayed at yesterday, exuding a strong sense of sophistication. My first impression of the hotel was incredibly high, so I have to commend its style and taste. The front desk efficiently handled my check-in, and I was personally guided to my room. This kind of efficient service attitude and quality is a hallmark of The Ritz-Carlton, and it's something I must praise. There's no need to elaborate on the room facilities and cleanliness; they meet The Ritz-Carlton's consistently high standards, so I'll briefly mention it here. (As an extra compliment, the speakers in the Xi'an Ritz-Carlton rooms are Bowers & Wilkins, which are much better than the unknown generic brands in many hotels, even surpassing the Bose speakers at the Haikou Ritz-Carlton.) I was also quite pleased to see my name displayed on the TV welcome screen when I turned it on. I left the hotel multiple times during my stay, and each time, the greeter at the door diligently opened and closed the car door for me, and the hotel door. The staff inside the hotel greeted me whenever they saw me. At The Ritz-Carlton, you almost never feel disrespected, and that's something I absolutely adore. 🥰 Now that I've covered the positives, I have a few minor suggestions. First, during my check-in, I asked guest services to bring my luggage up, and I waited quite a long time (about half an hour). Then, for the customized room key card, I also waited for ages, at least two hours. In this regard, the Xi'an Ritz-Carlton isn't as good as the Haikou Ritz-Carlton, where they made one for me in just ten minutes (I don't know why). However, these are minor imperfections, and such small details hardly affected my overall stay. Overall, the high taste, high standards, and high service of The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an, truly live up to its name. I hope the hotel can improve its service speed. I look forward to my next visit.

This was my second stay at the Hyatt Regency Xi'an. Last time, I stayed in a standard twin room, but this time I opted for an executive suite, which was incredible value for money. The suite was fully equipped, even featuring a smart toilet seat, and the balcony offered a pleasant view. The executive lounge dinner was very generous and satisfying (many dishes were not available at breakfast). Breakfast is definitely worth trying – it's delicious and boasts a wide variety of items. The food selection was different from last winter, which adds a fresh touch to each visit. Although there were a few minor hiccups during my stay, Manager Mio, a lovely lady, helped us resolve them smoothly. I'm very satisfied with this experience, and I'll definitely choose the Hyatt Regency again for my next visit.

I saw mixed reviews online, so I was a bit hesitant but booked this hotel for its convenient location. After exiting the Bell Tower subway station, it was about a 10-minute walk. I found the hotel tucked away behind a row of street-level shops, through an archway. It's a real gem – quiet despite being in a bustling area, offering both easy access to attractions and a peaceful retreat. The hotel's location is fantastic; it's very close to the City Wall, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and Furong Garden by subway, and also convenient for direct buses to the Terracotta Army and Huaqing Pool. The Bell and Drum Towers and Muslim Quarter are practically on its doorstep. Although the room wasn't huge, it was well-equipped, featuring a bathroom with a separate wet and dry area, a mini-fridge for storing food, and complimentary drinks and bottled water – all the daily essentials. They also have a gym, washing machines, and dryers available for use. The breakfast spread was generous too, with plenty of dishes, meats, eggs, dairy, and various staple foods to fill you up. My only minor suggestion would be to improve the power of the bathroom exhaust fan, as it seemed a bit weak. However, for this location, price, and level of service, I'd say it's excellent value for money. After all, when traveling, you can't expect everything to be exactly like home!

Everything is good. They only have one washing machine and heater. So we need to wait for some time to wash our cloths as we stay over there for one weeks. Remarkable service from Soon Xiao Ni and the crew provide daily breakfast. She is professionalism, attention to detail, and kindness made a big difference. I truly appreciate her dedication to her works.

The hotel's location is good, but the Baidu navigation isn't great. I hope they can communicate with the map maker. The breakfast was quite rich, with fruits, vegetables, snacks, porridge, milk, soy milk, yogurt, freshly cooked rice noodles, and even freshly ground coffee. However, I saw a woman using her bare hands to pull several sausages out of a plastic bag... I can't imagine it anymore. I hope they'll use gloves, tongs, plates, etc. when adding breakfast items in the future, and improve management.

Xi'An North Railway Station/Xi'An Municipal Government Xi'an|10.72km from downtown
The room was great, fully equipped, and especially quiet. It's very close to Xi'an North Railway Station, and they offer a shuttle service, which is perfect for guests catching trains from there. Dining and shopping nearby are very convenient. Plus, it's away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The room service was good, affordable, and the staff had a great attitude. Breakfast was decent, and all the staff, though a bit older, were exceptionally friendly.

The hotel is located on Xiangzimiao Street near Yongning Gate in Xi'an, next to Defu Lane. It is simple and fashionable. There are many bars, restaurants, dessert shops and coffee shops downstairs, which is very suitable for young people. The hotel service is very thoughtful. The day before yesterday, the lady was very gentle and helped me change the room once. She also gave me a foot bath bucket, which was very thoughtful. The hotel's breakfast is also very delicious, with many varieties and good taste. The double portion is enough for a family of three. The child liked it very much and said he would stay in this hotel next time when he left.
