Grand Hyatt Beijing at Oriental Plaza

I had the chance to experience this 'classic' renowned hotel, and I found it quite good. Although it's a bit old and some of the facilities are dated, especially in the apartment rooms, the cleanliness is commendable and the service is excellent. The apartment rooms, despite their traditional decor and older equipment, are spacious and well-suited for families. The standard rooms have been renovated with a more modern style and contemporary amenities. While smaller, they are very comfortable to stay in. I specifically requested a high floor for a better view! I also sampled the food at 'Changan One' and 'Tea Source,' ordered a birthday cake from 'Su Yuan,' and tried the breakfast buffet. All were very satisfying. The Kung Pao Chicken at Changan One was particularly unique, and the fried chicken wings at Tea Source were similar to spicy fried chicken. The breakfast offered a rich variety, and the freshly prepared dishes were great. I was especially pleased with the gym and particularly the swimming pool. I went for a swim in the morning when it was less crowded. The pool is very large, making for a pleasant swim, and there's also a massage pool, dry sauna, and wet sauna, perfect for relaxation. I'd definitely bring my family back for a weekend getaway if I get the chance.

Staying at the Grand Hyatt Beijing, a hotel I'd heard great things about, the overall experience exceeded my expectations, thanks to Amy's excellent follow-up. The hotel is ideally located on Chang'an Avenue within Oriental Plaza, making it incredibly convenient for subway travel, sightseeing, and shopping. The lobby's decor beautifully incorporates old Beijing elements, creating a grand and stylish atmosphere. The guest rooms are spotless, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer expansive city views. The soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a peaceful stay without any disturbance from outside traffic noise. The bedding is comfortable, leading to a great night's sleep.

I was agonizing over so many good hotels in Beijing, but I decided on this one after seeing reviews about their delicious breakfast, and indeed, the breakfast was tasty, haha. As a family of three, we stayed in the family room, which was spacious, and we also had access to the lounge.

For my trip to Beijing, I chose the Grand Hyatt. To be objective, it's not far from Metro Lines 8 and 1, but to get to the hotel, you either have to go through a shopping mall or climb a steep set of stairs or a坡, which felt like being in Chongqing. This isn't convenient if you're carrying luggage. So, in reality, the transportation was quite inconvenient. Also, I have to complain about the hotel's pillows – they were terrible. Two soft pillows stacked together were too high, but one was too low. The main issue was how soft they were; they offered no support at all. I stayed for three nights and didn't get a good night's sleep because of them.

Grand Hyatt Beijing is an excellent choice for a trip to Beijing. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, right next to Wangfujing, with convenient subway access, making it easy to visit attractions and find great food. As soon as you enter the lobby, you feel the ambiance of a high-end hotel, with an elegant environment. The rooms are spacious and bright, spotlessly clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The children's amenities provided are also excellent! The windows have great soundproofing, blocking out the street noise. Check-in at the front desk was fast, and Amy provided polite and thoughtful service. Breakfast offers a wide variety, including desserts, hot dishes, and local snacks. The hotel also has its own gym and a unique swimming pool, perfect for a workout during your free time. The hotel is directly connected to a shopping mall, so you can shop and dine without even leaving the building. The overall experience was excellent, with attentive service and complete facilities. I will definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Beijing.

From the higher floors, you can overlook the cityscapes of Chang'an Avenue. The soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a peaceful stay even amidst the bustling city. The bedding is soft and comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. Amy at the front desk was warm, attentive, and very efficient with check-in and check-out. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices, including both Western dishes and authentic Beijing local snacks. The hotel's heated swimming pool has a wonderful environment, and the overall service is meticulous and thoughtful. It's perfectly suitable for both leisure and business travelers. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Beijing.

The location is excellent! It's a direct ride from Universal Studios Resort on Line 1 to Wangfujing Station, and from there, you can walk to numerous major attractions nearby. The room was clean and the bedding comfortable. Bertha at the front desk was incredibly attentive and patient, meeting all our needs. The breakfast selection was rich and varied; my child especially loved having Nongshim ramen, haha, it tasted great. The trendy swimming pool is very large, and besides swimming, there's also a warm pool to relax in. It's super convenient for sightseeing and travel, and our overall stay was very pleasant. We'll definitely consider coming back!

A truly delightful stay! The hotel lobby boasts a very artistic design, and the room was spacious and bright with exceptionally comfortable bedding. What impressed me the most this time was the service, especially Chris, who left a particularly deep impression. Chris was incredibly enthusiastic with every guest and highly efficient. Our check-in process was very smooth. I genuinely recommend this hotel.
