Swissotel Grand Shanghai

This is an old-school five-star hotel, clinging to its last vestiges of pride. The hotel's location is excellent, with various malls and restaurants right outside. However, traffic at the entrance is a concern; getting back to the hotel by car always involves a 5-minute jam, even outside of rush hour. For food delivery, you have to go downstairs to pick it up from the delivery lockers at the back entrance. The hotel robots only deliver hotel supplies, not outside food. Parking for guests is also charged, and the hotel doesn't cover it – it's 15 an hour. The shower pressure is very weak. Only one power outlet in the room works properly; the others constantly disconnect. You have to hold them in place for continuous charging. As a five-star hotel with such a prime location, it should be continuously improving both its hardware and software, rather than stubbornly waiting to be left behind by the times, right?

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I booked an executive twin room with my child. The room was clean, and its location right in the heart of Jing'an Temple makes dining and taking the subway incredibly convenient. I first booked it because of its proximity to Eileen Chang's former residence, Changde Apartment, and I booked it again because of its excellent location and service. My child particularly loves the hot spring pool here. We also ate several meals at CP Jing'an this time, which was very convenient. However, you need to watch the time when taking a taxi. I noticed during this trip to Shanghai that Jing'an Temple is really congested. Getting to the hotel was a constant jam, and the ride to the airport was also quite slow. The hotel breakfast is excellent! There's a wide variety, and I always eat too much. Check-out time is also very flexible; my flight was at 4 PM, and the front desk staff kindly extended our check-out to 1:30 PM, which was fantastic service. I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! 👍 It's super close to Jing'an Temple Metro Station 🚇, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. The hotel lobby is elegant and luxurious, and the rooms are clean, tidy, and bright.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. It was recommended by my foreign colleagues for my business trip to Shanghai. The surrounding area is bustling, located in the core business district of Jing'an Temple, making it very convenient for subway travel, shopping, and sightseeing. The bedding in the room was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a good night's rest for my business trip. I happened to be there during a typhoon with heavy rain in Shanghai, and I particularly appreciate the doorman who promptly helped with my luggage. The front desk and room service were professional and attentive. The executive lounge experience was outstanding, with excellent food. From the room window, I could enjoy panoramic views of the beautiful surroundings.

Great location with many shopping malls nearby. It's very convenient to take the subway, and there's a coffee shop right downstairs. The room was very clean and soundproof, and the view from our room was also good. We stayed for two days and it was very comfortable.

Every July, I stay here for at least a week. It's right in the city center, surrounded by several shopping malls. I particularly love the housekeeping staff, and the soundproofing is excellent. The room is very well-maintained. Looking forward to next year's trip!

Booked a hotel in Jing'an Temple again. The hotel's location is excellent, with many subway lines nearby. It's very convenient for shopping, dining, and visiting the Apple Store. The only downside is that Jing'an Park is under renovation. I'll definitely come back next time I have the chance.
