"On the first day, the guy at the front desk kept trying to get me to pay extra. I did have three additional children with me, all under 12. He insisted the hotel policy was based on year of birth, not month, so it would count as 1 adult + 2 children. I explained we had just come from a boat trip and asked if we could check in first, and I’d pay for breakfast tomorrow if needed. The front desk said it was a 'headcount' fee, not a breakfast fee. They put us in rooms in two different buildings. I have to say, Trip.com was reliable and ended up covering the extra headcount fee. The next day, two of my kids developed fevers. Susan and Zai at the hotel front desk were very caring and offered to call a doctor to the room if needed. It really highlights the importance of having overseas travel insurance, though we didn't end up needing a doctor. The kids had caught a chill the first night but recovered after taking some medicine and resting all day. Trip.com came through for us. The night staff at the hotel were not friendly at all, but the daytime front desk staff were very reliable and friendly. The room had a great sea view, but there wasn't a circular sofa in the room as I had hoped."

"When I checked in, I specifically requested not to have a room at the end of the hallway, and the foreign staff member who assisted me confirmed it wouldn't be an end room, but rather one in the middle. Turns out, room 825 was indeed an end room. When I went back to the front desk to complain, they even asked me for the reason why I didn't want an end room... I was really speechless... Plus, the location is quite isolated."

"Due to the war between Iran and Israel, my flight to Phuket was canceled and I was unable to arrive. I asked the hotel to postpone my stay by a month and sent confirmation of my flight cancellation. The hotel did not accept my request. Too bad. I will not recommend this hotel to my friends."

"Excellent family hotel! Breakfasts are good until 10:00 AM; they keep replenishing and cooking until the very end, so you can linger. The grounds are large and well-maintained. The water park is super – great fun for both adults and kids; we couldn't get our child off the slides! There are two large slides, plus a small pool with slides for younger children. Plenty of sun loungers for everyone. The hotel cafe is inexpensive. There's a kids' playroom (schedule in photos). Not many Russians here. The beach is just across the road. Opposite the hotel, you'll find a 7/11, cafes, and massage places. Kata beach is about a 20-minute walk away. Honestly, no complaints at all; we loved everything."

Rosewood Phuket ★★★★★
"First and foremost, the service was truly exceptional. Whether it was the buggy drivers or the restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly polite. A special shout-out to our butler, Meiling, whose excellent Chinese made communication effortless and who patiently assisted us with all our requests throughout our stay. The Thai restaurant also served delicious food. However, there were a few downsides. For a room costing tens of thousands a night, the daily fruit offerings were quite underwhelming; two dragon fruits on the first and third days, and three oranges on the second day felt a bit ungenerous. Also, the minibar items were all chargeable. The turndown sweets were also very basic, just a few small cookies, which was quite disappointing. Another major point that didn't align with the price point was the hotel's spa. While the environment was decent, the techniques and procedures were no different from a regular massage outside, which was quite a letdown. The airport transfer service on our last day was a pleasant surprise; after arranging it with the hotel, we were met by a dedicated hotel staff member at the airport who guided us through fast-track customs, which was fantastic."

"This hotel was the most expensive of our trip. I stayed here last year and thought it was good, with a shuttle bus to other beaches where you could snorkel and see small fish. This year, the waves were too strong, and I didn't see any fish, which was a bit disappointing. The beach right outside the hotel is excellent, and the hotel facilities and service are also good. However, during checkout this time, the front desk insisted we had drunk a soda. Since our taxi had already arrived, I didn't argue and just paid. But we definitely didn't drink it ಥ_ಥ"

Anantara Layan Phuket Resort ★★★★★
"Aside from being pricey, this hotel is flawless. The service is exceptional, and I had a very comfortable stay. The staff's attitude and work quality are top-notch. However, the on-site dining options are just average and also quite expensive. This hotel offers great privacy and discretion, especially compared to more mainstream hotels. It's very quiet and not overly crowded, making it an excellent choice for a getaway. The only downside is that dining options are limited nearby, so I'd recommend renting a car if you plan to stay here, as it would make eating out much more convenient."

Sri Panwa Phuket Luxury Pool Villa Hotel ★★★★★
"For a price of 4440 a night, the villa's space and view were just okay, I guess. The main thing is the kids had a good time! The hotel's landscaping is poorly maintained; half of it is withered and yellow! The facilities are mediocre! Last night, it rained, and a bit of the door frame fell off! A curtain rod also came down... The quality isn't what you'd expect for a 4000-level price point! The breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant was very good too! There are also many small shops nearby. The villa offers a wide-open view, but the scenery is a bit ordinary. The tuk-tuk had a strong gasoline smell and made me quite dizzy! But walking was too tiring! I prefer those golf carts; I used one in Bali, and it handled hills very smoothly!"

The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket ★★★★★
"I booked a one-bedroom villa, and after visiting and comparing several units, I truly believe Villa #68 is the absolute best among the one-bedroom options! The layout and size are optimal! The villa boasts a generous 550 sqm, offering huge space and a comfortable layout. It comes with a private pool that directly connects to the beach, making both privacy and the views impeccable. The amenities are also comprehensive: a sauna, indoor and outdoor dual showers, and an outdoor bathtub, instantly delivering a complete resort feel and comfort. The hotel itself has a very natural, ecological island vibe. We saw lizards several times on the villa rooftop and by the pool. At first, it was a bit scary, but they are actually very docile and completely non-aggressive – a rather unique wilderness experience. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special. The service was excellent throughout; all staff members were enthusiastic, friendly, meticulous, and attentive. A special shout-out to Liam, who provided dedicated service from start to finish, always responsive, patiently helping us arrange all our needs with professionalism and warmth! However, there are a few objective points that deduct from the overall score: Firstly, the hotel's landscaping and gardening are rather ordinary compared to other resorts in the same category. Most of the public areas are sandy, with sparse and poorly maintained plants, making them generally not photo-worthy. Secondly, the in-room facilities are a bit dated, especially the bathroom. The quality of the fixtures and sanitary ware like the toilet and showerhead feels quite common, which doesn't quite match the Luxury Collection brand positioning. Getting to the island involves a bit of a journey, from the airport to the pier and then a speedboat transfer, but it feels worth it upon arrival. If you're looking for an extra-large private villa, private pool, direct beach access, and excellent service, this place is still highly recommended. However, if you are sensitive to the public area landscaping and the newness of indoor hardware, you might want to do a bit more research."

The Surin Phuket ★★★★★
"I came to Phuket during the rainy season and didn't have high expectations, but The Surin Phuket completely exceeded them – the overall experience was fantastic! The most impressive feature is the hotel's exclusive private beach, not shared with any other nearby hotels. The sand is incredibly fine and soft; while not the whitest, it feels wonderful underfoot. The water is crystal clear and pristine, easily ranking among the best beaches in Phuket. It's uncrowded and peaceful, perfect for taking photos. The breakfast is a dual-mode buffet plus à la carte menu, which is an amazing experience! The freshly ordered yogurt bowls and salmon bagels were delicious, and dining with a sea view while feeling the ocean breeze made breakfast incredibly blissful. The hotel's service was consistently excellent throughout – the staff were gentle, attentive, and responsive. To be fair, there are a couple of minor drawbacks: the hotel has a larger number of rooms, and some room types don't have bathtubs. However, the public areas are remarkably uncrowded, even when the hotel is full, ensuring excellent privacy and tranquility. It truly has a wonderful resort vibe. Getting around is also very convenient. It's only a 15-minute taxi ride to Boat Avenue in Bangtao, where you can find dining and shopping all in one place. The drive to Patong Beach is also reasonable, offering a perfect balance of being close to the action yet tucked away in a peaceful setting. The luckiest part was encountering a complete and stunning sunset, despite it being the rainy season. The clouds parted, and the orange glow painted the sea, becoming the most precious surprise of this trip. Both the overall value for money and the resort feel are top-notch – it's definitely worth staying here! **Concise Version (for social media)** Staying at The Surin Phuket during the rainy season completely surpassed my expectations! ✨ Exclusive private beach with fine sand and no crowds, and the ocean is among Phuket's most beautiful. Breakfast includes à la carte options; the salmon bagels and yogurt bowls were delicious, and service was consistently excellent. Minor downsides: many rooms, some without bathtubs, but public areas are wonderfully quiet. Convenient location: 15 minutes to Boat Avenue Bangtao, and easy access to Patong. Lucky to catch a full, gorgeous sunset during the rainy season! Worth a second visit!"
