I stayed for 5 days during the low season after the May Day holiday.
We had a family room with bunk beds. Honestly, as long as you're not too big, it could easily fit 8 people. Of course, the queen bed sleeps 2 adults, and the top bunk could sleep two 7-year-olds or one adult and one child (same for the bottom bunk).
I requested a high floor and was given the 5th floor (D3515), but the balcony view, as shown in picture 4, was of another hotel. The next day, we requested a room overlooking the pool. We were moved to the 4th floor (3411), and the view, shown in picture 7, was perfect for watching the kids on the spiral slide.
The 5th-floor room didn't have a musty smell but did have ants. The 4th-floor room had a musty smell, but it disappeared after opening the balcony door to air it out. However, there were cockroaches in the room, both big and small. I guess the building is just old.
The breakfast was quite good, with a variety of options including Thai rice noodles, Western omelets and salads, and Indian chicken curry. There were so many choices that we didn't have to eat the same thing twice over 5 days.
The pool was clean, and the slide was a lot of fun. However, the edges of the pool are made of sharp, crushed stones. Swimsuits, knees, and feet would get scratched, which was unavoidable. If you're staying for the kids, the pool is worth it. But if you're a germophobe, I wouldn't recommend staying here.
The 5th-floor room had a ton of mosquitoes, so you definitely need to buy plug-in repellent. The 4th-floor room, surprisingly, had very few mosquitoes.
The staff at the kids' club had a very poor attitude towards Chinese guests and were quite condescending towards foreigners. The front desk staff, on the other hand, were generally helpful if you spoke to them nicely. (The last picture is of the kids' club staff, who were rude and unreasonable.)
