"Fantastic value for money. Stayed here a few year back under the name Bauman Residence and it was good then but now as Elite Suites it has improved. The staff throughout were so polite and welcoming. Always smiling and being pleasant and helpful. Hotel very well maintained and cleaned. Pool bar promotions and happy hours are better than any of the bars on the island. Good bar snacks selection of well prepared food. Stayed for 10 nights in total across 2 bookings. Rebooked for October before checking out."

"A great hotel. They call themselves ‘The Oasis of Patong’ and they’re not wrong. Close enough to the madness so it’s within a 15 minute walk to Bangla Rd but far enough away that it’s nice and quiet to make a relaxing stay. The pool area is great for relaxing and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay and will be back."

"The facilities are excellent. Stepping out of the hotel elevator, you're immediately greeted by an endless ocean view. That first glimpse alone makes it worth half the room rate, and it's still breathtaking every time I return to the hotel. Everything else is great too, with only one minor point: they don't have a private beach; you need to walk about 10 minutes to the nearby Kamala Beach. The hotel breakfast is fantastic, with a huge variety. My girlfriend and I stuffed ourselves every day. After breakfast, we'd grab a sun lounger by the pool in front of the breakfast area and soak up the sun – it was wonderful. The hotel provides a towel card which you can exchange for towels. You can take these towels to Kamala Beach, but you need to return them afterwards."

"This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They provide free water, tea and coffee. Overall thurkughly enjoyed my stay. There are various amenities to use and the staff were lovely. I was also able to change my pounds to Bhat at the reception at a better rate than the airport which was very convenient. There is a 7eleven nearby and restaurants but to get to it there is a very steep hill. There is a beach right in front of the hotel too.overall a pleasant stay would stay again. The clear canoes are free to use but they are on a first come first served basis and there is only two of them."

"The price of this hotel varies greatly between the off-season and peak season, but the hotel facilities are truly excellent. The rooms are laid out with a separate kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The hotel itself has three swimming pools, and the reception hall is very spacious. The breakfast in the morning is also quite good. The location is also very convenient. If you rent a scooter, getting to the beach is incredibly fast, and it's only about a ten-minute walk. The hotel is also very, very close to a street food area where the snacks are cheap and delicious. In the evenings, there's a lively bar street nearby. There's also a highly-rated and very clean 'The One Thai Massage' shop (Branch 1) near the hotel, which offers purely green services. You need to book your massage in advance, otherwise, you'll have to wait a long time. I recommend the 300 baht an hour option; it's very relaxing and stretches you out nicely. Downstairs, just a 3-minute walk away, is a 7-Eleven convenience store, and there's also a Chinese restaurant next to it. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time I visit during the off-season."

"Good value for money. It's located across from The Gig hotel, where you do check-in, check-out, have breakfast, and use the pool. So, the reception is at The Gig; there's no reception at Gu. Google Maps often leads you astray, including to a hotel called 'We.' Maybe it's the same chain, I'm not sure. It would be good for the owners and managers of Gu to sort out how and where their hotel appears on maps. They take a 1000 baht deposit, which is returned upon check-out! The room has everything you need, including a kettle, 4 black tea bags, coffee sachets, 2 cups, 2 teaspoons, and 2 pool towels."

"When we first arrived, we were quite upset due to several reasons. Many areas were not wheelchair accessible, and the room we initially stayed in was not convenient for my mother. As a wheelchair user, she had to rely on the in-house shuttle bus service and repeatedly get in and out of the car. Even going to breakfast was very uncomfortable for her. While we were sitting near the reception enjoying the view, the General Manager met us and introduced himself. He mentioned that he was concerned about my mother’s comfort because he knew that not all areas of the hotel were wheelchair accessible. I explained that my mother was indeed very uncomfortable and that we had already requested a room upgrade, regardless of the price. He assured us that he would try his best, although he could not guarantee anything. That same evening, they upgraded both rooms (not only my mother’s but the other room as well) without any extra charge, simply to ensure we had a happy vacation. All the staff were extremely helpful and always had smiles on their faces. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of choices. The only small suggestion I would like to make is regarding the kids’ room. It would be better if it were open for about 12 hours or even 24 hours. At a previous hotel we stayed at, the kids’ playroom was accessible 24 hours using the room card. Thank you very much—we truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel"

"We stayed in a room with direct pool access for 4 nights and had a very warm, welcoming hospitality experience overall. The staff were excellent, but the hotel itself and its facilities were a bit hit-and-miss. The property feels dated and could use some renovation—the buildings show discoloration, and there was mold in the bathroom along with an unpleasant odor, possibly from the septic system. One highlight was the complimentary minibar, which was replenished daily with water, soft drinks, Chang beer, whisky, vodka, gin, snacks, and even a lovely small dessert in the evening. Getting around can be a bit challenging without your own car or motorbike, especially for elderly guests, as the hotel is located on a hill about 15–20 minutes from the town center. There is a shuttle service to and from Jungceylon Shopping Mall, but it only runs every couple of hours and stops at 9 PM. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I’d definitely recommend booking a rate that includes it. The rooftop bar and restaurant are a standout feature, with stunning panoramic ocean views and a great selection of drinks and cocktails."

"The room was spotless. We had two kids with us and wanted to switch to a twin room, but none were available. The front desk staff kindly helped us split the king-size bed into two smaller beds, and the hotel staff set it up quickly. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the hotel was exceptionally quiet at night, ensuring several peaceful nights' sleep. The location is excellent, with a 7-Eleven right across from the lobby and the beach just a ten-minute walk away. There are also several fantastic restaurants nearby. The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn't quite cool enough, and it started leaking on our last night before check-out. However, the maintenance staff promptly and effectively resolved the issue. We would definitely consider staying here again on our next visit."
