"We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with our child. On the downside, there was a slight sewage smell in the room. When housekeeping came to clean, we asked them to come back in 10 minutes, but they only showed up 2 hours later when our child was asleep. The room itself was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and responsive. We were particularly impressed with the play area, the clean swimming pool, the restaurant with its wide (and delicious!) selection of dishes, and the room with a PlayStation, billiards, and foosball. There's also a gym. It's an excellent option for families with children, and they've also thought of everything for guests with pets. We left very satisfied!"

"The hotel environment is generally quiet and peaceful. However, when checking out, they were unwilling to grant even a 30-minute late checkout. As for the Shimmer restaurant within the hotel, there's one waitress who seems to have a split personality. Her demeanor and attitude towards white guests and Asian guests are completely different. White guests are allowed to use the beach loungers just by ordering a drink, but when I wanted to, I was told I had to spend a minimum of 3000 Baht. Her attitude was also very poor, almost as if she was interrogating a criminal. The service from everyone else, though, was quite good and friendly."

"Pros: The room was clean, though there was a slight musty smell in the hallway. I booked a small room as I was just passing through for some business in the area. The location is excellent; it's close to many popular shops, making it very easy to find food. The parking lot is spacious. Cons: The room seems to be in an old, renovated building. There's no elevator, but it's an easy walk. However, when people walk past the room and talk, you can hear every word. The room offers absolutely no soundproofing; you can hear everything – conversations, footsteps, doors opening and closing. As they say, for the price, expecting too much would be strange."

"If you're staying in the annex building, be careful of the long, steep slope. We saw a guest's luggage slide down from there and hit someone. Please make sure to store your personal belongings safely in your room. Other than that, everything else was good, and the pool was great. The room was spacious enough too. Just remember to run the bath water first to make sure there's no yellow discoloration."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Beyond Patong. The location is fantastic — super central and only about 100 metres from Patong Beach. There’s a huge variety of local Thai and Western food nearby, and you’re within easy walking distance of the bars and nightlife. Despite being so close to everything, the hotel itself was surprisingly peaceful. We never found the surrounding nightlife noisy enough to disturb our sleep, which gives you the best of both worlds. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay — genuinely friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The hotel also has great amenities, including a lovely rooftop pool. Overall, it’s a comfortable, convenient and well-located hotel that we would happily stay at again."

"A fabulous hotel, incredibly beautiful and atmospheric. If you want to spend your vacation like a fairy tale in a palace surrounded by greenery, this is your choice. My wife and I are absolutely delighted with this hotel. Besides the gorgeous exterior of the grounds, there's also a really great pool and excellent breakfasts. We had a room with pool access, and that was a special kind of pleasure, being able to fully relax without leaving the room 😅 In the evening, the lights come on, and the hotel becomes even more beautiful, incredibly stunning, words can't describe it. The staff are also top-notch; everyone is kind and friendly and helps with any question. In short, for me, this is the coolest and most atmospheric hotel in Phuket, if not the whole world 😅 My rating is 10 out of 10; even other 5-star hotels aren't as impressive as this one. I will definitely come back here again and recommend it to others."

EEnrico888I booked a one-bedroom villa, and after visiting and comparing several units, I truly believe Villa #68 is the absolute best among the one-bedroom options! The layout and size are optimal! The villa boasts a generous 550 sqm, offering huge space and a comfortable layout. It comes with a private pool that directly connects to the beach, making both privacy and the views impeccable. The amenities are also comprehensive: a sauna, indoor and outdoor dual showers, and an outdoor bathtub, instantly delivering a complete resort feel and comfort. The hotel itself has a very natural, ecological island vibe. We saw lizards several times on the villa rooftop and by the pool. At first, it was a bit scary, but they are actually very docile and completely non-aggressive – a rather unique wilderness experience. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special. The service was excellent throughout; all staff members were enthusiastic, friendly, meticulous, and attentive. A special shout-out to Liam, who provided dedicated service from start to finish, always responsive, patiently helping us arrange all our needs with professionalism and warmth! However, there are a few objective points that deduct from the overall score: Firstly, the hotel's landscaping and gardening are rather ordinary compared to other resorts in the same category. Most of the public areas are sandy, with sparse and poorly maintained plants, making them generally not photo-worthy. Secondly, the in-room facilities are a bit dated, especially the bathroom. The quality of the fixtures and sanitary ware like the toilet and showerhead feels quite common, which doesn't quite match the Luxury Collection brand positioning. Getting to the island involves a bit of a journey, from the airport to the pier and then a speedboat transfer, but it feels worth it upon arrival. If you're looking for an extra-large private villa, private pool, direct beach access, and excellent service, this place is still highly recommended. However, if you are sensitive to the public area landscaping and the newness of indoor hardware, you might want to do a bit more research.

IimjennywThe staff here are all very friendly and extremely enthusiastic. We especially appreciate Rach's proactive and friendly service. Although the lobby is a bit far from the rooms and we had to call the front desk every time we went out or came back, the shuttle service arrived very quickly and never delayed us. Even when we returned late, there were always staff members on standby to drive us back to our room immediately. The hotel provides shuttle services to and from the Old Town and Central Festival. It would be even better if we could take the shuttle to the Old Town and then be picked up from Central Festival on the return trip. The room was spacious, clean, and the air conditioning was excellent, though the water pressure was a bit weak. The hotel environment is quiet and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. I would definitely want to stay at this hotel again!

KKelly Lim 99If you’re heading to Phuket and looking for a relaxing hillside escape, Channalai Hillside Resort is such a great choice. From the moment I arrived, the service was top tier. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, making the whole check-in process smooth and stress-free. I was even allowed an early check-in (depending on availability), which was a huge plus after a long journey. They also welcomed me with a refreshing drink and ice cream — honestly perfect for the hot sunny weather in Phuket. Small touches like this really made the stay feel extra special. The resort itself has a calm, laid-back vibe with beautiful surroundings, making it a great place to unwind and recharge. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay with excellent hospitality. Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting Phuket and want something peaceful yet convenient. 🤍🌿

GGuest UserThe hotel indeed has very few Chinese guests, but they were still quite friendly towards us. I'm not sure if it was because they initially messed up my name, or for some other reason, but they upgraded us from a family room to a suite, which was large and beautiful. We were very satisfied with our stay, and there was an ocean view right outside the window. The hotel environment is nice, but the breakfast is just average. It's not too far or too close to Jungceylon and the seafood market, about a 20-minute walk, but taxis are quite expensive. The only downside is that it's too noisy at night; you can hear all the sounds from the road and the bars, and the soundproofing is a bit poor.

DDonドニMy first time staying at a deck dorm style.The manager was willing to come, and did check in for me in the middle of the night. Do the 200 Baht refundable deposit. Give me the towel. Informed me to the rule of no sandal/shoes at 2nd floor to maintain the floor kept clean. That is all you can see. Nice room, chill, no noise in the room, and other ”I am sleeping” rules. If you have an issue of not using sandals in the bathroom, then honestly you just need a hotel with a private room. Yeah, upper deck was scary. I dreamt of falling down 😪 Well, deck dorm style is not just for me. But a good experience here, and with 217 Baht (including tax) I paid, it is worth the money. This hotel provides breakfast too. Something I don't really expect 😁😁 They also give me a key gift over a checkout. For sure, I get my 200 Baht back.

The room is equipped with a microwave, a stove, a capsule coffee machine, and cooking utensils. Housekeeping is every two days, but it's best to remind the reception. Beach towels are provided in the room and are replaced during cleaning. There are two buildings and several pools on the property. Guests can use the shuttles from the Laguna area, and there's also a transfer service to Patong. A boat transports guests to the beach every 20 minutes from 8 AM to 12 PM and from 1 PM to 7 PM. You can also take another boat to cruise around the Laguna. On the beach, there are complimentary sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as a toilet and shower. Small stalls selling drinks, food, and corn are right on the beach. Stand-up paddleboard rentals are available nearby. The breakfasts are good, offering vegetables, fruits, cheese, pastries, a kids' table, yogurts, an egg station, coffee, beverages, and much more.

MMarri DiExcellent hotel! My child attended many workshops and activities. The staff are caring and attentive, huge thanks to them. There are plenty of sun loungers by the pool, always a spot to relax, and an excellent bar with delicious cocktails. The housekeeping is top-notch; our room was cleaned twice a day and the bed was made. The hotel has a very convenient app with all the information you need, and you can even order extra necessities to your room. I ordered an additional pillow and there were several different types to choose from. The breakfasts are excellent, and on certain days, there are seafood dinners. The buffet includes oysters, crab, shrimp, and hot dishes, all for 1250 baht. We will definitely be back. This is one of the best hotels for our vacation ❤️

GGuest UserSpectacular views of the sea from the rooms make this resort a winner for feelings of peace and solitude. My room included a ceiling fan and a separate rain shower next to the bath tub. A massive free breakfast buffet starts the day for most guests, with changing options on a daily basis. Before breakfast I walked down the steep driveway to the private beach to swim either in the sea or the small pool next to it. At 7 am there is nobody around. One morning I took out a kayak (one hour free) which had stunning panoramic views. There are two swimming pools by the resort’s main building and both are delightful for swimming and relaxing. Nothing much to do in the evening and the TV channel selection could be expanded with movie channels (e.g., HBO, Cinemax), educational channels like Discovery Asia, and nature channels like BBC Earth and Love Nature. I partook in a 90 minute herbal pack massage which was a bit pricy but very professional. Both lunch and dinner menus have sufficient variety of dishes and food quality was good. Staff were always helpful. In summary, Supalai Scenic Bay Resort is a wonderfully serene experience at a very reasonable room price.

JJacquesChenOverall, I had a pleasant stay at Sunset Beach Resort. The facilities are a bit dated, but they are well maintained, which I truly appreciate. You can tell the resort takes good care of what it has. The location is generally fine, though the beach directly in front of the resort isn’t the best. Patong Beach is about a 300+ meter walk away, which is manageable, just something to note for guests who expect a beachfront swimming spot. The only part that slightly affected our experience was the shuttle service — not a big issue, but a memorable one. On 1 February, around 5:30 PM, we informed the front desk that we needed the 6:30 PM shuttle to Bangla Street. We even confirmed it twice and were told to sit and wait, as the staff would notify us when the shuttle arrived. We made sure they knew exactly where we were waiting. By 7:00 PM, after no update, we went back to the front desk only to be told that the shuttle had already left. The staff apologized and admitted she had overlooked us, and arranged the next shuttle. Nothing serious — just an unexpected extra 30 minutes of “resort relaxation time” we hadn’t planned for. 😊 Still, aside from this hiccup, the stay was comfortable, and with a bit more attention to shuttle coordination, the experience would be even better.
