Perfect Stay, this hotel is close to most activities, Kata, Patong and only 30 mins away from old town Phuket.  I enjoyed my stay, they serve good breakfast, have an onsite restaurant that operates till late and the hotel staff are amazing, always helpful, kind and friendly.

My wife and I stayed at Anona Beachfront Resort Patong from 30 October to 3 November 2025, and our experience was truly exceptional — not only because of the wonderful hotel, but because of the remarkable care shown by Ms. Peemai, the Resort Manager, along with the outstanding professionalism of the Patong Police. From day one, Ms. Peemai impressed us with her warmth, sincerity, and genuine concern for every guest. Unfortunately, on 1 November, we faced a very distressing situation. Around 8:50pm outside Jungceylon Mall, two foreign scammers approached us, spoke about scalp-care products, and lured us into a herbal shop they were working with. Inside the shop, surrounded by several people, we were pressured into buying herbal products worth 22,000 THB in cash. They even attempted to push another USD 2,500 worth of items before we realised we were being scammed. The next morning, we informed Ms. Peemai, who listened sincerely and immediately guided us on the correct steps — report to the Tourist Police first, and then proceed to the Patong Police Station. Her advice was precise and extremely helpful. The Patong Police handled our case with seriousness and full commitment. Even though we were leaving Phuket the next day, the officers assured us they would try their very best — and they truly did. That same evening at 8:30pm, five officers accompanied us back to the area. They waited discreetly until one of the scammers appeared. The moment he did, they acted swiftly, detained him, and brought us back to the shop to gather evidence — photos, videos, herbal items, licences, and documents. They also arrested two shop staff involved in the scam. At the station, the individuals confessed. Thanks to the officers’ dedication, we recovered 100% of our money — 22,000 THB. We were also informed that legal action will follow against both the scammers and the herbal shop. The next morning, when we thanked Ms. Peemai, she praised us for not giving up and for taking the matter seriously. She told us that by taking action, we helped protect other tourists from falling victim to the same scam — and that our efforts contribute to making Phuket safer for everyone. Her words meant a lot to us. She also reminded us, wisely: If strangers approach you on the street with unusual conversations, simply walk away and do not engage. Despite the unfortunate incident, the exceptional support from Ms. Peemai and the remarkable professionalism of the Patong Police completely changed our experience for the better. Their sincerity, commitment, and care truly stood out. We highly recommend Anona Beachfront Resort Patong. People like Ms. Peemai, and officers like the team who helped us, make Phuket a safer and more welcoming place for travellers

Very elegant hotel indeed. Convenient to restaurants, pharmacies, markets, 7/11 and all. Walking distance to Patong beach. Enjoyed my stay with a very comfortable and clean room, accommodating staff and a beautiful view from the rooftop pool. Highly recommended!!

Overall, it was a very good stay. Orn was nice and accommodating and even helped move me to a higher floor the next day. Berna from the restaurant was also friendly and took the time to chat, which was really nice. The room was refreshed while I was out during the day, which was great, but it would’ve been helpful to be informed beforehand since my personal belongings were left around. Just a small note — the bathrobe wasn’t set up initially, and only two pillows were provided for a room meant for two guests, so I had to request extra pillows.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Patong Beach, the famous Bangla Road, and shopping malls, which is its biggest advantage. The room was spacious enough and had a small balcony, which was a nice touch. However, the room facilities were just okay, a bit dim and lackluster. The bedding, towels, and bath towels all seemed a bit old. The surrounding area was also a bit noisy. The rooftop view was good, and the swimming pool was decent. Breakfast was standard, pretty much what you'd expect for about 880 a night. Getting here from the airport was easy; we took the airport minivan for 100 per person, and the drop-off point was quite close to the hotel.

Overall, it was impeccable – a fantastic hotel. The location was also good, and the pool was incredibly beautiful; my wife took tons of amazing photos there! The staff, especially Lid, and the front desk were excellent. They were very enthusiastic in answering our questions and even brought things to our room. I gave them panda keychains, and they were all thrilled to recognize them as 'panda.' A note for Chinese friends: make sure they don't assign you to Building 2 or 3. Your room card should start with '10xx' or '11xx' (for Building 1), otherwise, it's a very long walk from Buildings 2 or 3. We reported this to the front desk the next day, and they moved us to Building One, which was much more convenient. To rent a motorbike, turn right out of the hotel. There's a shop on your front right, and the guy there is great! I highly recommend renting from him; no scams or hidden tricks. I rented for 200 THB a day, and when I extended it for an extra day and only had 160 THB in change upon return, he just said 'it's okay.' I was really touched, perhaps because I had filled up the tank for him. Regarding gas, 50 THB worth of gas is probably enough for two days of use. I got it with three bars of fuel, and when I returned it with one bar left, I filled it up. I don't know why, but 100 THB completely filled the tank. Be careful when renting a scooter. I rode motorbikes all over Phuket – Patong, Karon, Kata, cliff sunsets, etc. – and never got caught. But in Bangkok, I got caught and had to contribute 1000 THB to the Thai treasury!

Holiday Inn Resort PHUKET SURIN BEACH by IHG

This time in Phuket, I chose the quiet and less crowded Surin Beach 🌅, which boasts beautiful sunsets. It's also closer to the airport without being noisy. The hotel facilities are quite good. There's a huge interconnected pool area, complete with a two-story spiral waterslide 🛝. I was a bit hesitant to try it at first 👙, but I gave it a go and it was pretty fun! 🥳 They also have plenty of activities for both adults and kids. I even joined a water aerobics class, which was great – perfect after a day of lounging! 😆 As for breakfast, it looked like there was a good variety, but when I actually tried to pick things, there wasn't a whole lot that stood out. Check-in took quite a while initially, and they even gave me the wrong room. However, when a family member accidentally scraped themselves at the pool the next day, the staff's attitude in handling the injury was very good.

Compared to two years ago, this experience was much worse. The service has deteriorated, and the facilities are old. There was peacock droppings on the paths that hadn't been cleaned, and many railings were broken. However, this is still the best place for snorkeling on Racha Island. If you don't care about the hardware and service and only focus on the scenery, this place is fine. Cons: 1. The service has completely declined. I had to drag my luggage a long way, carrying it up and down, on and off boats, and it was very hot. 2. The speedboat seats were so cramped I couldn't stretch my legs, much narrower than a budget airline. 3. No fridge in the room. On a hot day, if you want cold drinks, you have to buy ice at the restaurant for 20 THB a cup. 4. Neither the lobby nor the restaurant had air conditioning, it was incredibly hot, especially during the 3 hours before check-in and 2 hours after check-out while waiting for the boat. It was boiling. 5. The air conditioning leaked and soaked the entire room. 6. No curtains, so the sun was shining directly on my face in the morning. 7. No phone in the room. To contact the front desk, I had to use my own mobile, which was inconvenient for everything. 8. The sofa was dirty. 9. The restaurant food wasn't very good. Other restaurants on the island are much better. 10. No beach access, getting to the beach was a hassle. 11. Don't go sea fishing here. It's 3000 THB for 2 hours, which is far worse than the 3000 THB for a whole day on Koh Lipe. Plus, the boat barely went out, and we basically caught nothing. The experience was terrible. Go to Koh Lipe for fishing; the service and experience are much better. Pros: 1. Good snorkeling. 2. Chinese communication was fine throughout, no language barrier. Many Chinese tourists, so it was lively. It's truly become unscrupulous since it changed to a Chinese owner. To save money, they've removed fridges, phones, and curtains. They're selling rooms that are basically unfinished shells with incomplete facilities and no regard for the user experience. All the thoughtful details that Thai hotels usually have are gone. There's a reason for the low rating here.

Spectacular views of the sea from the rooms make this resort a winner for feelings of peace and solitude. My room included a ceiling fan and a separate rain shower next to the bath tub. A massive free breakfast buffet starts the day for most guests, with changing options on a daily basis. Before breakfast I walked down the steep driveway to the private beach to swim either in the sea or the small pool next to it. At 7 am there is nobody around. One morning I took out a kayak (one hour free) which had stunning panoramic views. There are two swimming pools by the resort’s main building and both are delightful for swimming and relaxing. Nothing much to do in the evening and the TV channel selection could be expanded with movie channels (e.g., HBO, Cinemax), educational channels like Discovery Asia, and nature channels like BBC Earth and Love Nature. I partook in a 90 minute herbal pack massage which was a bit pricy but very professional. Both lunch and dinner menus have sufficient variety of dishes and food quality was good. Staff were always helpful. In summary, Supalai Scenic Bay Resort is a wonderfully serene experience at a very reasonable room price.

The hotel is nice, secluded: there’s nothing much around it, which can be a good or a bad thing. I loved the private sandy beach, now it’s high season, and yet there were maximum 10 people at a time. So it feels all for yourself. I got upgraded and stayed in a little house with private pool and exit to the beach. Thanks for that. BUT there were 3 things I didn’t like: 1. noise, I don’t know, probably air conditioning or pool cleaning machine of A NEIGHBOR HOUSE, not even mine. In my room the AC and the fridge were also loud, but I turned them off. Yet I could not turn off the neighbor’s ones. At night it was hard to sleep because of that sound. 2. the pool cleaning — mine didn’t have that. The water there is still , was not changes next day, and I am not sure if was changed before I arrived 🤷♀️ In the neighbor pool I can see the water is always floats and changes, in mine not. 3. Every time I bought something and wanted to pay with my card, I had to go to reception. Every meal, every cocktail. That was disturbing. It was my last day of my holiday and I was short on cash. I thought it wouldn’t be a problem to pay by card, I could do it. But every time I had to climb 7 staircases to do it.
