We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Yama Hotel in Phuket! This was our holiday in Thailand, and it turned out to be truly fantastic from start to finish. What stood out the most was the staff. Every single team member was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and taken care of, always greeting us with genuine smiles and offering help whenever we needed it. Their kindness and professionalism made such a big difference to our overall experience. The atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed and enjoyable, and it was the perfect place to come back to after exploring Phuket. We felt well looked after the entire time. We would definitely come back anytime and highly recommend Yama Hotel to anyone visiting Phuket. Thank you to the amazing staff for making our holiday so special!

We love it, MelodyđŸŽ¶ ! It's clean, it's in a good location (you can walk around, you can get to the shopping area, a good pick-up point if you would like to join a tour, and you can walk to the beach). We got yummy breakfast in the restaurant beside the hotel. Staff are friendly. We've got a free upgrade room with a pool đŸŽ” that's really awesome! We wanted to extend our nights, but unfortunately, it's fully booked already! We will definitely recommend this to our friends and family!

The staff were excellent so helpful and friendly. Bird the shuttle driver was so kind and always willing to help you. I matter what.  Breakfast was good but a little heavy more like a brunch due to it being mainly curry, noodles and rice. Not used to this in the uk.  I was disappointed that the large windows in the room looked onto a high wall, about an arm length away no view at all and the swim up pool was outside the room door. This definitely was not what I see when I booked other wise i would probably have chosen another hotel.

Very friendly staff, kind and welcoming. The room wasn't the cleanest, dust and sand in the corners, shower sealent needed replacing urgently. There is nothing going on after about 10pm, this suited us well as we went out every evening and it meant no loud music interrupting sleep. Due to the doors of the rooms, soundproofing is poor, so if you have load neighbours expect to be disrupted. The pool area is fantastic, warm water, plenty of sunbeds no matter the time, fresh towels for pool in room daily. No sunbed wars. Lifeguards were very vigilant. We paid extra for a pool facing ”swim up” type room. Pointless as you are not provided a lock for the sliding doors, so unless you're happy to leave your room open you need to go out of the front door and walk around. When we rented a scooter, (which we highly recommend only 500 bhat a day!), we felt safe leaving it in the car park as the security guards were great.

Bit of a smelly from the bathroom but rooms are big staff friendly. Nothing in the mini fridge no safe in room. Comfortable bed. Not very soundproof but other guests were quiet. Could hear some doors slamming around 6-7am . Ask for a room higher up if you prefer quiet. Very good location 5 min walk from beach. Good budget option for sure.

This is our second time staying in a bungalow here, and Shaini checked us into the same room we had before. Everything is wonderful – the manager is excellent, the staff is great, and it's all clean, beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. The music from the neighboring bar might bother some, but it didn't bother us. We'd love to come back for a third time. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful experience!

Great location, just a 10-12 minute walk to the beach. Everything you need is nearby: 7/11, massage places, cafes, etc. The room was quite clean and felt new (it seemed like the entire hotel might have been recently renovated, perhaps even by splitting an adjacent cafe). The only downside was the lack of a proper window. In our room, the window faced an internal shaft, about 50cm from the opposite wall. Since there were windows across from us on the side, we had to keep the blinds fully closed all the time. This meant the room was always dark, and it was unpleasant to wake up in complete darkness, making it hard to feel refreshed and energized.

The hotel probably offers the best value in the area. The gym is excellent, although the equipment could be maintained more frequently. The room is cozy, and the cleanliness is excellent. AAnonymous UserThe resort isn't very big, a rectangular area, and the villa section takes up a significant portion, so there's limited space for activities. BUT! There's a beautiful, uncrowded beach, haha! The coastline is very long, which is a huge plus. The rooms seem to have been renovated; they're a mix of new and old. For instance, some of the bathroom fixtures are clearly old, but the doors, windows, and furniture look new. At the very least, the grout and wall seams have been redone and look pristine. The air conditioning is incredibly efficient, and the room is well-insulated – even after being out with the power off for half the day, it's still chilly when you come back in. The room provides a clothes drying rack on the balcony for dripping wet clothes and swimsuits, which is a thoughtful touch. However, the BBQ buffet dinner, which costs over 2000 THB per person, doesn't include any basic beverages, only water. The BBQ items are so few you can count them on one finger, non-BBQ items on another finger, and desserts/fruits on a third finger. There were only two or three seafood options. My child is sensitive, so after removing what they couldn't eat, spicy dishes, and disliked flavors, there was almost nothing left! Can you believe we couldn't find two dishes they'd dare to eat from the entire buffet? The breakfast selection is much richer than the dinner buffet, and it's only a quarter of the price... but the dishes were exactly the same every day. After two days, we started missing 7-Eleven. This isn't some isolated island with supply difficulties; would it be so hard to come up with more rotating menus? Please offer more variety for guests staying multiple nights.

GGuest UserHad a great time while staying at Noku, super b Villa Mint is big and comfortable to stay with friends and family. It even includes snack, fruit and drinks in villa which are complimentary for us to enjoy when we stay by the private pool. Very enjoyable and pleasant! The breakfast at the hotel is a highlight during our stay. It was served in buffet style with egg and noodles station. Although the selection is not super wide, it’s more than enough to enjoy as the quality and the freshness of the food are above average, some of them even exceeded our expectations. Overall, we enjoyed the moment at the hotel so much and we will definitely coming back for vacation again ❀

GGuest UserïżŒWe loved the overall experience as a family of four. It was only a short boat ride from Phuket. Although the beach was small, there was a private pool in our villa which we loved. We swam in the private pool when it was sunset. It was so pretty. ïżŒïżŒ The majority of the staff was also incredibly friendly, with almost every service available 24/7. Impressed by the friendliness of the staff at Naka Island Hotel. None of them went past us without smiling and greeting us, and almost everyone we met was ready to engage in little conversation to help us settle into the environment. It was so chilled all around, the surroundings and the accommodation, our nerves were rested for a good few days. Beautiful local excursions also available. We went on a little hike to Tad zoo beach which proved to be a little of an adventure because of the 30-min arduous walk for the kids. Once there, not only did we enjoy the beach chilled atmosphere, we got on jet skis with some discounts to the hotel prices too. Upon return to hotel, we jumped into the private pool overlooking the beach at sunset. An amazing experience hard to forget. Breakfast was exquisite. It had the blend of modern western food and local Thai food. The noodles were delicious, broth was excellent. Got a shoulder and back massage free of charge at the entrance to the veranda restaurant (breakfast restaurant) - knowing how much it would cost, it made my day. Would recommend the Muay Thai to anyone seeking a workout with a touch of Thai culture. The instructor was friendly and funny. He identified my daughter’s talent in the sport. When we go back to HK, I will have another perspective to work on.

ZZhubagongzimianThis hotel seems to be less frequented by Chinese tourists. During my three-day stay, I only saw about four Chinese guests, while the Sheraton next door was packed with them. The hotel has an old-school Western resort vibe, with spacious rooms and a large enough pool, perfect for a relaxing getaway. I probably got lucky with the price this time, under 600 a night, which was a real bargain. The only significant drawback was the breakfast; the food options were limited, and the service needed improvement. However, for someone like me who can't wake up early, it wasn't a big deal. The hotel's location is excellent. It's right on the beach, with a 7-Eleven and laundry service just a 5-minute walk away. It's also only about a 10-20 minute walk to Jungceylon. It's convenient yet quiet enough at night. I originally booked a garden view room, but the front desk staff upgraded me to a sunset garden view upon check-in. The room was spacious and well-laid out, with a sofa and a desk. The bathroom was large and clean, and the balcony had two lounge chairs, giving it a great vacation feel while staying at the hotel. Overall, I think it's pretty good, a bit like a Wyndham or Shangri-La in China. While it's not overly luxurious, at this price, what more could you ask for? I'd definitely book again if the price is right next time. **Facilities:** The room facilities are complete. Although a bit old, they are well-maintained. The cushions on the balcony lounge chairs were slightly worn but didn't affect their use. **Cleanliness:** Clean and tidy, meeting 5-star standards. **Environment:** The hotel consists of roughly three buildings flanking two pools, making it ideal for a 'staycation.' The beach is right outside, and there's a restaurant near the sea with live band performances in the evenings. **Service:** It seems a bit understaffed, but generally, the attitude was good. Basic services like luggage assistance and cleaning were all handled well.

SShishinonoOur stay at Cassia Phuket was absolutely amazing! We stayed in the Loft Room, and the view of the lagoon and the beach from our room was simply breathtaking — it felt like waking up in a postcard every morning. The hotel’s location is perfect, with direct access to both the lagoon and the beach. One of our favorite parts was the complimentary ferry that takes guests across the lagoon to the beach every 20 minutes — such a fun and convenient touch that made getting around effortless. The atmosphere at Cassia is vibrant and welcoming, and the staff were always friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to help. The modern design of the rooms, the lively community spaces, and the stunning natural surroundings made our stay unforgettable not to forget mentioning pet friendly hotel. Cassia Phuket truly captures the best of relaxation, style, and island charm!

IIvan KraljEven if it ended with a nice gesture, the receptionist handing me a keychain gift (not sure if they do that with all guests), with a written request to leave 10/10 review, sadly I couldn't ignore the shortcomings of this hostel that seemed like just a downgraded version of Marco Polo Poshtel (not sure which one came first, but from breakfast to ”funny” wall messages, there was a similar ”creative” signature). While I was initially attracted by reviews mentioning hostel's cleanliness, I couldn't say I shared the same opinion. Certain public areas were quite messy. The staircase to the first floor (where shoes are forbidden) didnt seem to be cleaned for some time. In the showers (which had a good water pressure), there was mold. None of the three handsoap dispensers in the only bathroom had soap in them. It just felt the staff doesnt have time or organizational skills to maintain everything in working order. But I was mostly surprised by finding a not clean (i dont want to call it ”used”) bed cover in my bed. It had some fresh stains, hair and crumbles (well, not just on bed cover), and seemed just to be folded after the guest before me (even the folding seemed messed up, so i really thought maybe the bed was forgotten). When I asked the housekeeping to change it, they initially approved. The younger housekeeper started changing everything, sheet included (which i believe is a good way to do it, when it is not certain if the bed was completely changed), but when the older one returned, she made her put the sheet back (the sheet that was thrown on the floor in the meantime), laughing all along. No, that wasnt really funny. Then instead of letting the young housekeeper put on the new bed cover she brought along, i noticed that the older one brought something that seemed to be the same old bed cover that i complained about (the duvet was already inside). When i asked if that is a new thing, she was convincing me it was. Already at that moment, i felt ridiculed. But i said, ”okay, if you say so.” After all was done, i came back to my bed, unfolded the bed cover and confirmed my doubt - all this performance of changing the bed, without them changing anything! The only difference was that the bedsheet was also on the floor in the meantime. This got me really frustrated, mostly because they lied to my face (what for?), and mostly because they invested energy in ”changing” everything while actually just stripping everything off and returning it (why? It takes the same amount of energy to do it for real). Feeling like an *****, i asked what seemed to be the problem? Dont they have clean bedding, or what? But they had. I asked them to give it to me then, and i would happily prepare the bed myself. Which they accepted. Lol. I dont know, with that poor breakfast, the visual mess, unpleasant ”toilet” scent at hostel entrance, and generally low level of cleanliness (you can see how yellow the pillow is once you remove the pillow case yourself), it felt that other reviews mentioning spotless hygiene were misleading. Or were my standards too high? In any case, i stayed in a dozen of Phuket hostels during my month here, but none of them tried to insult my intelligence. There are better places, and no, Dorm Hostel sadly doesnt deserve 10/10, to quote the request they tell everyone at check-out. I also tried to leave them space for hostel improvement, so instead of lowest marks, i left average ones, even if the experience was truly below average. P.S. When a guest asks whether a ferry with a pick-up operates everywhere in Phuket, a genuinely helpful answer would be ”yes”. And not ”no, it's only our hostel's pickup”. I understand everyone just tries to earn money, but it shouldn't be done by misleading guests who just trustfully ask for information.

GGuest UserFacilities: The hotel has a large bathtub and a big balcony, perfect for drying clothes after swimming every day. Cleanliness: It was clean and tidy. Service: We emailed them beforehand to let them know it was our first family trip to Phuket. We booked a twin room, and adding an extra bed usually costs more. However, when we arrived, the front desk told us they had prepared a rollaway bed for our child, free of charge! Thumbs up for that! The Caucasian manager in the breakfast hall was also very friendly and humorous. He proactively introduced the hotel's free children's activities and invited us to participate. Environment: The infinity pool is beautiful and very photogenic. The sunset at CASA HOBO is stunning, but you need to book your spot early. The Hyatt is perfect for relaxing and staying in the hotel. Overall, I recommend it! (Everything was great except for the lack of shopping centers and convenience stores nearby.)

KKLorraineOverall, it was a very good stay. Orn was nice and accommodating and even helped move me to a higher floor the next day. Berna from the restaurant was also friendly and took the time to chat, which was really nice. The room was refreshed while I was out during the day, which was great, but it would’ve been helpful to be informed beforehand since my personal belongings were left around. Just a small note — the bathrobe wasn’t set up initially, and only two pillows were provided for a room meant for two guests, so I had to request extra pillows.

XXiaolian2019We actually stayed here for five consecutive days! It was a very pleasant stay, and I really wanted to write more! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hygiene was excellent. The owner is Chinese and has been consistently upgrading the linens. The service was attentive; one night, our Indian neighbors were on a loud call at 2:30 AM, and the owner, contacted via WeChat, promptly resolved the issue! The guesthouse environment is very comfortable, with squirrels, cats đŸ±, and other small animals! The sea is right outside the door, as is a local night market! The food stalls at the entrance are also affordable and delicious 😋! I loved it! And for only two to three hundred during peak season, the price is unbeatable!!

Good
KKelly8692Pros - it is quite near to Phuket International Airport - around 30-35mins. The Resort is very big, near to the sea and provides free shuttle to Kata & Karon Beach and free Kayaking to the guests. We had the sea view room and the view everyday was great. The location is very far from central/downtown which is why it is very peaceful to stay here. The rooms are slightly outdated, but they are kept very clean so the outdated part doesn't feel much. The staff is also very kind and helpful. Overall its a nice resort to stay for a short while as it is quite far. Cons - For the 4days we stayed there, we did not like the breakfast as much. The breakfast area and view was very good, but every time we went for breakfast - it was always served cold. No matter we went early or late for breakfast, the food was always cold. There is a lot of variety in breakfast but none of them tasted good because it was always cold or not warm enough. The resort is really very far - around 1hrs 20min from the main tourist areas like Kata, Patong and Karon beach, so if you are planning to travel to these places - plan accordingly. As it is expensive and far to travel back to the resort. Also since it is far - there is no market or small shops nearby the hotel that you can walk up to in the evening. The only choice is to stay at the resort, swimming pool or inside the resort because the road that drives up to the resort is quite steep to walk. Overall it was a comfortable stay but it was a bit of hassle with the breakfast and travel back to the resort. This is why I am giving 4stars.
