"This accommodation feels like a luxurious farmstay which is still easily accessible to the Dukezong ancient town and 大转经筒 (20 mins drive), both train station and airport are near the accommodation too. The staff are very friendly and helpful too! Animals are well taken care of and allowed to roam freely in the grasslands. They may even visit your room courtyard if you book a ground floor room! Their 3 Alaskan dogs are the cutest! Do consider staying here if you visit 香格里拉"

"Very Nice Hotel with Friendly and Helpful staffs! Staffs helped to carry luggages up and when leaving, help to carry as well to car. Many shops around and it's inside Gu Zheng but car can still drive in! Plus point for location! Staff was nice and WeChat before we arrive and wait for us at the entrance and bring all our luggages down!!! Room is big, plentiful of bottle water and also us to feel free to take! And yes they have oxygen on request if you need! Just use wechat to communicate with them! Very easy! Will love to be back in this hotel!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location is excellent, very close to all the main attractions, which made getting around so easy.
A big plus was the free transportation provided to and from the airport/railway station—such a convenient service. The staff also helped us with our luggage right from the car all the way to our room, which we truly appreciated.
Our room was very spacious, perfect for two people with big suitcases, and still had plenty of space to move around comfortably. Breakfast was yummy too, with a nice variety to start the day. The staff also gave great recommendations on places to visit, which added so much to our trip.
Overall, a wonderful experience—we’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!"

"The rooms are superb equipped with O2 and heaters for toilet and mattress. The location of the hotel is near to South Gate where it is easy to get Halal Restaurant. Just walk about 200 m, can reach to the few halal restaurants.
The owners also provide us free airport transfer, and free washing machines. I would rate this hotel and the owners 10/10.
She also provide us with info on the recommended attractions and she also provide us with unlimited tea. One more thing, she provide us with outer layers as well for free."

"Extremely satisfied with this B&B, it's right near Dukezong Ancient City. You can drive directly to the hotel entrance. We checked in around 8 PM, and the hotel manager helped us park and carried our luggage. They even warmly brought us afternoon tea and upgraded us to a suite! The hotel facilities are excellent, very clean and tidy, and the decor is unique. Even though it's near the ancient city, it feels very quiet once you're inside. The breakfast was also very rich. A highly recommended B&B."

The most delightful surprise was being able to choose our preferred toiletries from four different aromatherapy scents, a thoughtful touch that truly personalized our stay. The staff meticulously explained how to use the in-room oxygen and informed us that the humidifier was already filled, showcasing their attention to detail. The employee who showed us to our room was equally friendly and helpful. The hotel's laundry service was incredibly efficient; clothes sent in the afternoon were returned by early the next morning. The room itself was cozy, comfortable, and well-equipped. The mango in the welcome fruit basket was exceptionally sweet and delicious. Overall, from the detailed care upon arrival to the services provided throughout our stay, everything felt incredibly warm and comfortable. Highly recommended!"

"Finally got to stay at the Tibetan-style courtyard guesthouse I've been dreaming of, and we're really happy with it! 😁 The owner is so nice; they helped us with our luggage even when we arrived in the middle of the night. It was raining when we came back, and they helped us move our bags from the 3rd floor down to the 1st, then back up to the 3rd. They also asked if we needed a pickup from the high-speed rail station when we arrived, and offered a drop-off service when we left, which was fantastic. The room is very spacious, the environment is great, and it's nice and warm. Five stars, highly recommend!"

"One of the biggest perks of staying at a high-end hotel is the amazing service! Everyone is so warm and welcoming ❤️. They offer shuttle service to the high-speed rail station and the airport. The hotel also provides a complimentary ******* clothing experience. You can enjoy fresh fruit anytime you like, with an unlimited supply in a self-service style. My room had a balcony with a 180-degree view of the mountains and grasslands right from the bed. The popular Black Bean Coffee House is right next door. The hotel also gives out afternoon tea vouchers. There are wooden cabins 🏡, large prayer flags, and water features, making it a great spot for photos!"

"The room is very spacious, beautifully decorated, and quite new!
There are two balconies, one at the front and one at the back – perfect for stargazing at night and sunbathing in the morning.
Facilities: New and clean.
Environment: The hotel is a standalone building on the edge of the ancient town, with a very pleasant little courtyard.
Service: Excellent! They contacted us before check-in, sent us the exact location, and even helped with our luggage. They also offered afternoon tea, and even though we asked for it in the evening, they provided it promptly. The yogurt was delicious!

"This is my first time to Shangrila, hence didn’t know what to expect especially in terms of local service standards.
I was totally blown away the moment I entered the boutique hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming, polite, friendly and accommodating to our requests.
Although they provide disposal towels in the room, they didn’t hesitate to provide regular towels (which are packed in plastics for hygiene purposes ) upon request.
When we wanted to head out for lunch, 小何 actually sent us there in a buggy to the restaurant. They knew we were hungry and may have to spend extra time navigating through the ancient town, hence offered to get us there quickly.
The room is tastefully decorated and has lots of facilities to ensure comfort of our stay. They have a beautiful “fireplace” humidifier that adds a great ambience to the room and another standalone humidifier that is quieter when in operations. The room also comes with wooden tubs for us to enjoy a herbal feet soak after a day of walking.
They also serve afternoon tea in the room when we headed back for a short break. Extremely thoughtful!
The hotel is also centrally located within the ancient town yet it is super quiet once you enter the property. It is also within 2 minutes walk to the attraction, and 5 minutes to the square.
There’s a viewing point on the third floor of the hotel which offer a fantastic view of the temple and turning wheel. Great photo spots for photography lovers!
There’s just too many nice touches that I appreciate about this hotel which is beyond this review. The final thing I wanted to say is before the property owner sent us off to the train station, the staff packed 2 slabs of yoghurt nougat and a bag of tea for us to bring along so that we will not experience hunger panks!
This hotel is definitely a gem and highly recommended! Thank you so much for making our visit to shangrila a lovely one."

This hotel gives a very fresh and new first impression. I found out from Quzhen （曲珍）that it only opened in July. The design of the entire hotel is excellent – very chill yet infused with local ethnic characteristics. It's not overly ******* like many guesthouses tend to be; the balance is just right, modern with an artistic feel. It's a place that literary and artistic youths would surely love, with many photo hot spots.
Quzhen (曲珍）was my butler for this trip. She is an incredibly enthusiastic girl, providing very attentive service. She was responsive to every request and exceptionally thoughtful. When I felt unwell one day, she immediately arranged for an oxygen tube for me and checked on me regularly. She makes you feel at home. The other staff members are also very warm and friendly.
The hotel's location is absolutely top-notch, right next to the Songzanlin Monastery. It takes less than two minutes to walk to the side door.
The large floor-to-ceiling window in the room allows you to literally fall asleep looking at the Songzanlin Monastery. It's a highly recommended hotel.
If I have the chance to come to Shangri-La again, I will definitely return here. Quzhen (曲珍）feels like a friend waiting for me to come back in Shangri-La. It combines the facilities of a design hotel with the warm service of a guesthouse.
I have a few minor suggestions for the hotel: Next time I return, it would be wonderful if there were a few sun-beds on the terrace at the left of the restaurant. Lying there, sunbathing, reading a book while gazing at the Songzanlin Monastery would be super chill. Also, I think the breakfast could offer some Western options, such as bread, fried eggs, sausages, sandwiches, yogurt, coffee & tea etc. Afternoon tea could also be a nice addition.
As for the room facilities, everything is very good. It has diffuse oxygen, a humidifier, and many books for reading. It would be perfect if some seating cushions could be added to the bench next to the window along with a small tea table and tea set.
In conclusion, the entire experience was excellent. Thank you to every staff member at the hotel, especially Quzhen(曲珍）. I hope to have the opportunity to see you again – my friend in Shangri-La.

這次入住真的被民宿老闆的熱情徹底圈粉！我是被我姐強烈推薦的這家在獨克宗古城內的民宿，民宿老闆卓瑪姐從預訂時就主動詢問我們的行程，到店後不僅詳細講解了香格里拉超實用的旅遊攻略，連小眾打卡點和避坑指南都傾囊相授，比做的攻略還靠譜。
最暖心的是剛放下行李，老闆就端來了熱乎乎的氂牛奶，喝完整個人都暖乎乎的，瞬間驅散了旅途疲憊。民宿裏的設施更是驚喜，全屋都是智能家居，燈光、窗簾語音就能控制，操作起來特別方便；而且傢俱全是嶄新的，質感很好，看得出來老闆在裝修上花了不少心思，住起來既舒適又有科技感。
推窗見景還超貼心，這家民宿直接封神！
這次住的房間真的把“景觀房”的優勢拉滿了，清晨拉開厚重的遮光簾，眼前的畫面瞬間讓人屏住呼吸：正對面就是鬱鬱葱葱的龜山公園，山頂的大轉經筒清晰得彷彿觸手可及，尤其是傍晚時分，夕陽灑在經筒上泛着暖光，連公園裡轉經的人羣都能隱約看見，不用擠在觀景台人堆裏，在房間裏就能靜賞這份獨特的景緻，隨手拍的照片發朋友圈被問爆地址。
更讓人感動的是民宿的細節貼心。考慮到當地的氣候和海拔，房間裏提前準備好了製氧機，老闆特意過來教我們使用方法，夜裡偶爾有點缺氧時打開，很快就舒服多了；衣櫃裏還掛着免費提供的厚實羽絨服，款式簡潔乾淨，完全不用自己揹着厚重衣物佔行李，出門逛公園、看經筒時穿上，防風又保暖。這份把客人需求想到前頭的用心，比風景更讓人覺得温暖，真心推薦給來這邊的朋友！
退房離開時，老闆還特意準備了當地藏族特色禮物金剛結送我和女朋友，説是一點心意，這份用心真的太戳人了。全程體驗下來，不僅住得舒服，更像在朋友家做客一樣自在，已經推薦給計劃來玩的朋友，下次再來一定還選這裏！

MMengqiqixixiThe hotel is stunning. We stayed in a private villa, which was perfect for a family trip. The butler service was excellent – warm, attentive, and incredibly detailed. Breakfast was extensive and delicious; they even bake their own bread, which the kids absolutely loved! We also had lunch and dinner here, and both meals were incredibly delicious!
The hotel's location inside the Tiger Leaping Gorge scenic area makes accessing attractions incredibly convenient. There are also hiking trails for Tiger Leaping Gorge nearby, perfect for a short trek. The scenery is breathtaking, featuring forests, small waterfalls, and viewpoints... It's so beautiful that if I ever return to Tiger Leaping Gorge, this hotel will absolutely be my top choice!

They even have a styling studio where kids can happily try on different outfits and pose for photos. Plus, there were various opportunities for friendly interactions with small animals. We'll definitely have to stay longer next time!

MMelissa PWYWe stayed 2 nights (15-17 Sep) here. We loved Ke Le 可乐, the resident dog, who greeted us enthusiastically when we arrived at night. They have 2 sheeps in their garden as well. The road to this stay was a little dark so our driver needed to be careful to avoid hitting any crossing horse/cow/sheep. Upon arrival, the host helped to bring our luggage to first floor. The room was spacious and has good movie selection as well. Toilet has no bidet so bring your own portable bidet. Bed is comfy. There is no cold aircondition only hot but it was cold at night so we didn't use the aircond. There is oxygen supply turned on at 9pm automatically so we slept well. There is also humidifier in the room. Biscuits were provided. There is free use of ******* clothes at the lobby which we tried on for free. Breakfast was included in our stay. It was the most simplest & clean breakfast with option of porridge or mixian. We requested the host to send us to Shangri-la train station to which they gladly assisted. Distance from the stay to train station takes about 10-15mins.

MM28021****Our Shangri-La trip was absolutely perfect! Not only did we get to see the stunning 'sun-kissed golden mountains,' but the hotel we chose on a whim also turned out to be amazing! First and foremost, a big shout-out to the staff member – he was incredibly warm and attentive. All his food recommendations were spot-on; we didn't have a single bad meal! The hotel's shuttle service was also incredibly thoughtful and essential (I found it a bit tricky to hail a taxi in Shangri-La). Importantly, the hotel facilities are excellent and well-maintained. Our room was very clean and tidy, and quite smart. Given the dry climate, they even provided humidifiers and oxygen concentrators, which shows incredible foresight. The location is right within the ancient town, making it super convenient to get everywhere – especially within the old town, where you can just walk. Highly recommended!

They even proactively told us about the hotel's facilities and local dining spots – top marks for attention to detail. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable; I felt the travel fatigue melt away as soon as I lay down. The soundproofing was also excellent, ensuring a wonderfully peaceful night's sleep. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and all the toiletries were provided, including a powerful hairdryer, which was really convenient.

He helped with my luggage the entire time, and he was so genuine and enthusiastic, telling me all about local attractions. ❤️ When I got to the hotel, I wasn't disappointed at all! It had everything you could possibly need, and even all the toilets were smart ones. The surroundings of the hotel are as beautiful as a painting. You don't have to do anything; just sitting there, soaking up the sun, daydreaming, and chatting is incredibly relaxing.

The hotel is very clean, with great soundproofing and insulation, and has direct ventilation through scenic-view windows. The laundry facilities are top-notch and easy to use. The ratio of guest rooms to laundry machines is high, so there’s no waiting. Shangri-La itself is incredibly beautiful. The hotel is surrounded by the Napa Lake Grassland and snow-capped mountains.
I recommend driving up the hotel’s internet-famous road to the halfway slope for a panoramic view of Shangri-La. With wildflowers blooming everywhere, it’s absolutely breathtaking.
In previous days, I stayed in an ancient town inn. The main issue was that most rooms lacked outward-facing windows, which felt uncomfortable. Windows faced an inner courtyard, compromising privacy and making it inconvenient to open them. This is an important point to consider when choosing hotels in the ancient town, but most suffer from this problem. Also, many wooden inns have poor sound insulation—something I, as a long-term overseas resident and traveler, cannot accept. Visiting Dukezong Ancient Town takes about an hour.
The owner of *Yinxiang Tianlu* recommended a place called **Bottomless Lake**. It’s incredibly beautiful, reminiscent of Switzerland, and even prettier than Pudacuo National Park. Best of all, it’s free (no entrance fee), though you’ll need to rent a car for a one-way 2-hour drive. This hidden gem is truly fantastic.
This hotel is highly recommendable to friends!
