"We choose Grand Hyatt for our last leg of Bali Trip to relax and do nothing, and we were totally relaxed. Room was clean and organised with baby crib and clean bathroom.Lot of space to sleep and keep things with great of view of Garden.Room service was great and on time. Breakfast and food was very nice with different restaurants like Japanese, Italian. Lot of activities for kids above 3 years with baby care which gives me time for couple. 3-4 Swimming pools to go around. Private clean beach which is the best part to hang around for beach lovers. Easy checkin process and super friendly and always helping staff. 2-3 days you can spend within resort and relaxed."

"We just spent 3 amazing nights at the Conrad Bali, and honestly, it was faultless. The team went above and beyond to accommodate everything we needed. What really stood out was how proactive they were always checking in to see if they could help before we even had to ask. We actually moved to the Grand Hyatt afterwards and immediately realised we shouldn't have moved. The experience at Conrad was just superior. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Bali; in fact, we’ve already started making plans for our next visit!"

"A Wonderful Stay at HARD ROCK Hotel! This was our second trip to Bali, and we chose HARD ROCK Hotel and it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we walked in, we felt an immediate sense of warmth and familiarity. Every staff member we encountered greeted us with bright smiles and genuine friendliness, making us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay. Our kids absolutely loved the hotel’s swimming pool and the nearby beach. They spent hours playing and having a great time! The breakfast was also fantastic, with a delicious variety of options to satisfy the whole family. What’s more, the hotel’s photo booth service was such a lovely touch, it allowed us to capture precious memories of our stay that we’ll cherish forever. The location is unbeatable too, walking to kuta’s city center and all its attractions was quick and convenient. We can’t wait to come back on our next Bali trip! Thank you to the amazing team at HARD ROCK Hotel for creating such a memorable experience for our family. Highly recommended!"

"Where do I even begin... Probably one of the best luxurious hotel experience you can get in South East Asia - from the breathtaking taking architecture to the extremely professional yet warm hospitality from each and every single staff I met. Apurva Kempinski is definitely the best Kempinski experience thus far and big thumbs up to the staff that made this experience such an unforgettable one. Special mention to the 2 staff working at the lobby entrance (grab pickup point) who took the initiative to head out to the security post to collect my emergency medication which I ordered via Grabmart and the Grab delivery rider was insistent on not coming to the lobby from the security post as ”lobby was too far”. The 2 staff assured me that the grab riders are supposed to deliver to the lobby collection point and then headed out to collect from the rider. (This was on 27 Dec around 12am). Special shout out to these 2 staffs :) Highly recommended to both couples and families as Apurva is packed with facilities for all traveller types!"

"Beautiful building and the staff are seriously supreme. So so kind. I visited in October 2025 and there’s lots of construction around — it isn’t noisy but the scenery can be a bit underwhelming right now. I imagine in no time that will not be the case. The rooftop pool, when all construction around is done, will be one of the best around. I would return for sure!"

"So we planned the. Location as it had excellent views & a great beach. But the Hotel complex it self was very nice staff very friendly and accommodated us throughout our visit. There was some building works going on next to the hotel but was not overwhelming or disturbed or stay even close to the beach. A great big thanks to all staff members and trip.com to make our stay memorable and wanting us to come again for sure."

"The resort is truly magnificent and offers everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Upgrading to the Palace was absolutely worth it — the additional services and amenities made a real difference, and we made full use of them. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. They are exceptionally friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. Their warm hospitality really elevated our experience. There are multiple pools to choose from, each offering a different atmosphere, and the spa is on another level — beautifully run with highly professional therapists. It was a highlight of our stay. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes, and we enjoyed it every morning. Overall, this is a highly recommended resort, and we would be very happy to return. Well done to the entire Ayodya team!"

"My friend and I organised a trip to Bali and we stayed at Ubud for two nights. This place is unique, secluded and exquisite. It's unlike any other resort with a massive sign to point at the direction. From the moment our driver entered resort driveway, we felt the great sense of privacy and seclusion. The whole place is like a village with the lobby, the restaurant and the gaming room as the centre and rest of the tents (aka your hotel rooms) scattered all over the property, with unique themes. We stayed at the Archiver's room. It's stunning and one-of-a-kind. The tent came with a private pool facing the jungle, and the outdoor shower is fantastic. I loved the bathroom design and all the facilities. Bed was so comfortable, and staff members were kind and helpful, and they remembered our names. The complimentary afternoon tea and cocktails were so great. The cocktails are above and beyond my expectations. If you are looking for gifts to bring back to your family and friends, I strongly recommend the coffee soap bar. My friend and I loved how it exfoliates and in the meantime not leaving dryness on the skin. The Indonesian food served at the restaurant is a must-try. I highly recommend the pork ribs and nasi goreng. What makes Capella so unique is that it provide you with the chance to immerse into the local community to engage and discover local heritage and culture, and meeting some fascinating people along the way. Overall, this place is one of a kind. During our stay, I heard other guests compared Capella at Ubud with Four Seasons in Chiang-Mai. I have stayed at both places, and the two have completely different vibes and ambience. Four seasons rooms are actually brick and wood constructions but the Capella rooms are actually ” tents”, with wood frames and a canopy as the roof. So we fell asleep both nights while listening to the raindrops on the canopy. It's so soothing and relaxing. Capella has offered the opportunity to enjoy a luxurious service and experience while embracing the wildness. Additional: Shout out to Dedy and staff members who offered such above and beyond services. After we left Capella instantly we regreted of not purchasing the coffee soap bars as souvenirs. When I called the Lobby, Dedy arranged to have them delivered all the way from Ubud to Jimbaran to our resort. It's not only my escape experience but also the fantastic people from Capella that left such a deep impression on me. It's definitely a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend to stay."

"Easy check in and check out. Staff very friendly and always willing to help. Good variety of food and excellent quality. Bedroom very nice with a small private pool. Exactly as the photos. Sodas into the fridge free of charge, Nespresso capsules for coffe available in the bedroom. Welcome delicious fresh drink when we arrived and 1 hour after they brought to our bedroom fruit salad. 3 minutes walking from main road with great restaurants, cafes and spa places. They kept our luggage because late flight and also offered as airport drop off for a fair fee. Recommended."

Must-know travel tips for staying in Bali

Bali

Singaporeans and other Asean nationals can visit Bali for up to 30 days and are not required to obtain a visa. Bali has a tropical climate with temperatures fairly consistent year-round. The best times to visit are from April to October. Before going to Bali, it’s important to be prepared with a few essentials.

Transportation in Bali

Bali's main airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), also known as Denpasar Airport, which is located near the capital city, Denpasar. It's just 30-40 minutes from Ubud and even closer to Kuta, Seminyak, and Canggu. Choosing a hotel with airport shuttle services in Bali from airport is more convenient.

You can explore Bali in many different ways. Scooter rentals are the most popular and cheap way. If you're not comfortable riding, hired cars are great for a relaxed and customised trip. Taxis are available too. While Bali doesn’t have an MRT, cycling is a scenic and enjoyable way to explore!

Top attractions in Bali

  • Penida Island: It's located in the east of Bali. The water is crystal clear here, and the coral reefs and marine life are colourful.
  • Nusa Lembongan: It's located southeast of Bali and offers a quiet, beautiful bay and countryside.
  • Real Bali Swing: You can enjoy beautiful views of Bali and the exciting swings.
  • TANAH LOT TEMPLE: Constructed in the 16th century to honour the Hindu sea god, Baruna, Tanah Lot is one of Bali's most-visited landmarks.
  • Ayung River Rafting: You can enjoy the most exciting rafting challenge in Bali and admire the rainforests, waterfalls and canyons here.

1121728****The room was exactly as pictured and described. The breakfast wasn't great; there was no congee with noodles, only plain congee, milk, bread, and coffee (which was decent when made fresh). The 'Seafood Carnival' was a disappointment. 🤔 It wasn't as good as the first convenience store to the left across from the hotel. That place has a huge seafood platter for just over 300, and it's incredibly fresh. The lobster and tiger prawns with garlic butter sauce are especially worth trying there. The hotel's seafood tasted like it had been frozen and wasn't very fresh, though the live music and atmosphere were a plus. The seafood platter shown in the picture is not from the hotel. What truly stands out is the fantastic service and warm smiles from every single staff member. They genuinely care, and I would definitely come back again.

RRAGURAM21During my recent trip to the coastal city, I had the pleasure of staying at The Oceanview Resort, a hidden gem that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a special experience. The resort offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service, making it an ideal choice for both relaxation and adventure. Location and Ambiance The first thing that struck me about The Oceanview Resort was its stunning location. Perched on a cliff overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the bay, the hotel boasts panoramic views that are nothing short of breathtaking. The gentle sound of waves crashing against the shore was a constant, soothing companion throughout my stay. The resort is beautifully designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings, with lush greenery and elegantly landscaped gardens adding to the serene atmosphere. Rooms and Facilities My room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I could have possibly needed. The king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room featured large windows that allowed for an abundance of natural light. Waking up to the sight of the ocean every morning was truly magical. The room also came with a modern, well-appointed bathroom, complete with a rainfall shower, premium toiletries, and fluffy towels—everything I needed for ultimate relaxation. The resort's facilities were equally impressive. The outdoor infinity pool, with its stunning ocean view, was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploration. The on-site spa offered a range of rejuvenating treatments, and I indulged in a relaxing massage that left me feeling completely refreshed. For those who enjoy staying active, the resort has a fully equipped gym, and a variety of water sports activities are available on the beach, including snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Dining Experience Dining at The Oceanview Resort was an absolute highlight. The resort offers several dining options, each with its own unique atmosphere and menu. I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at the beachfront restaurant, where I was treated to a delectable array of local seafood and international dishes. The fresh catch of the day was prepared to perfection, and the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and making sure every detail of my dining experience was flawless. For breakfast, the resort’s buffet offered a wide range of options, from freshly baked pastries and tropical fruits to hot dishes made to order. The morning view of the sun rising over the ocean while sipping a cup of freshly brewed coffee was the perfect start to each day. Customer Service One of the standout features of The Oceanview Resort is its exceptional customer service. From the moment I checked in, I felt like a valued guest. The staff went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable, offering personalized recommendations and accommodating special requests without hesitation. They truly made me feel at home, which added a personal touch to my experience. Conclusion In conclusion, The Oceanview Resort is a top-tier destination that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway. Whether you're seeking a romantic retreat, a family vacation, or simply a place to unwind, this resort offers everything you could possibly need for an unforgettable stay. With its unbeatable location, outstanding facilities, and top-notch service, it is truly a place where memories are made. I will certainly be returning the next time I visit the area

VVictorAh, ”Gradmas” in Bali! It seems you're likely referring to one of the Grandmas Plus Hotels in Bali, specifically Grandmas Plus Hotel Seminyak or Grandmas Plus Hotel Airport. They are popular budget-friendly options in Bali. To give you a good review, I can summarize what people generally say about them, but if you stayed at a specific Grandmas Plus Hotel, let me know which one (e.g., Seminyak, Airport, Legian), and I can tailor the review even more. Here's a general overview of what people often say about Grandmas Plus Hotels in Bali, combining common feedback: Grandmas Plus Hotels, Bali (General Review) Overall Impression: Generally, Grandmas Plus Hotels are well-regarded as excellent value-for-money options, especially for budget travelers, solo travelers, and those looking for a convenient location. They often receive high ratings for their service and cleanliness. What people like most: * Excellent Location: This is a consistent highlight. * Seminyak: Very close to Seminyak Beach (often cited as a 5-minute walk) and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. This makes it ideal for those wanting to explore the vibrant Seminyak area. * Airport: Convenient for early flights or quick stopovers due to its proximity to the airport. * Friendly and Helpful Staff: Many guests praise the staff for being amicable, attentive, and going out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. They often mention the staff's smiles and willingness to help. * Cleanliness: The rooms and common areas are consistently described as sparkling clean and well-maintained. * Value for Money: Guests frequently mention that the price paid for the amenities and location is a great deal. * Breakfast: Often receives positive remarks for being good, and sometimes even offering a ”different gourmet food selection” daily. * Amenities: While generally basic, they offer essential amenities. Some locations have a pool, and many have a connected restaurant/bar. In-house spas are also mentioned as a plus. * Comfort Rooms (after checkout): Some hotels in the chain offer a ”comfort room” which is a nice touch for guests with later flights. What people like least (or areas for improvement): * Room Size: A very common comment is that the rooms can be ”compact,” ”small,” or ”cramped,” especially for families. While well-designed and clean, they might feel a bit tight for some. * Noise: Depending on the room location, street noise, music, or bar noises can be audible, especially in Seminyak, which is a lively area. * Bathroom Ventilation/Issues: Some reviews mention a lack of exhaust fans in bathrooms, or occasional issues like drainage smells or spots on tiles. * Pool Size/Quality: For the Seminyak location, the pool is sometimes described as ”tiny” or ”very poor” and can get crowded. * Limited Amenities: While good for the price, some guests might miss certain features like mini-fridges or electric kettles in the rooms (though free mineral water is usually provided). Would I recommend this hotel? Based on common reviews, yes, I would recommend Grandmas Plus Hotels, especially if you are: * A budget-conscious traveler. * Looking for a hotel with an excellent, central location (Seminyak) or close to the airport. * Prioritizing friendly service and cleanliness over spacious rooms or extensive luxury amenities. * Traveling solo or as a couple (larger groups or families might find rooms a bit small). They are often described as a great base for exploring Bali, offering a comfortable and practical stay without a hefty price tag.

AAmanda MarieStayed here for just 2 night as hadn’t been to the area before and wanted to see what it was like. Beautiful place and gorgeous room and gardens. Clean and very well maintained. Only issues were minor-  anytime we tried to phone for room service or reception you’d have to call 2-3 times before anyone picked up. I think there were 3 or 4 restaurants on the premises but they pretty much all had the same menu and it was nothing to blow your socks off. I had a late night sweet tooth this trip and was very disappointed with the room service deserts. We had cheesecake with no flavour at all and a very tiny brownie that came with a very small scoop of ice cream that I think was sitting on a small piece of bread. I think it was meant to be sponge cake but it looked and tasted like bread. Also had 3 small old strawberries and a smidge of chocolate sauce that was not very nice. The menu said it came with a maracuya sauce (passion fruit) which it didn’t- there was no mention of the strawberries which could be an issue if anyone had an allergy. I ordered iced lattes which were quite nice but a very small glass for the size. I asked for a bit of ice cream to be added and was charged for a whole serve of icecream which made it about $12AU which was double what I’ve payed anywhere else in Bali. I did mention this to staff who deducted the cost of the ice cream which I appreciated. Any Bali hotel we’ve stayed at, you can pop your dirty cups/dishes outside the door and they will be collected. Ours sat there for 24 hours even when we had staff come to the room to deliver room service. Travelled with a smoker and while you couldn’t smoke at the pool bar you were allowed to smoke on balconies and around the pool. Asked at the pool bar for an ashtray who didn’t have any and told us to go to the towel bar who didn’t have any and didn’t know where you could get one. Was then directed to a different area to ask and they gave us a plate to use. I saw people putting their cigarettes in the garden and spare bottles as there were no ashtrays available. We gave up asking for one for use on our balcony. Beautiful grounds and if smoking is allowed they should provide what’s needed or some people may just throw them on the floor which would be disappointing. If relaxing by the beach you had to walk back to the pool bar to get a drink which was a pain.  Our room had very good aircon, was very spacious and beautiful and had comfy beds. Probably the best maintained room I’ve stayed at in Bali. A good amount of PowerPoints and it was the first Bali resort I’ve stayed at that had adequate power points that our plugs didn’t keep slipping out of. I did request twin beds and to be close to the pool which other hotels didn’t even try to accommodate but Sol by Melia provided this immediately. A few families there with small children and while the resort was kid friendly to an extent, it’s maybe not the ideal place for small children. Many people trying to read by the pool and relax with small kids yelling and crying. I didn’t see any obvious play area for kids, nothing significant anyway. There’s one pool with one shallow area for kids but it’s just a little kid pool which meant they were not very entertained and were getting frustrated. If ours were still little we’d probably go somewhere tailored to kids. All in all a good stay but we did get a good deal on the room. $165AU a night with Trip.com which was significantly less than some booking sites and still cheaper than booking direct. It was nice but I wouldn’t pay the regular rate. Would I recommend- yes I think I would. Just the room alone was worth it and we had the most basic room which was very large

AAnonymous UserCheck in was smooth. Staffs were friendly. Hotel is huge, they have 3 blocks. I got the far end of the block which was a little bit away from the reception and the restaurants and the open space for smoking. In 2 circumstances, i walked up to the room and the door card could not work. This happened in 2 different nights. I had to walk down and got it reset, but the staffs didnt bother to apologise for this. The first time it happened I was okay, but the second time it happened, I got pissed off, because it was a long walk from the room to the reception. If you order food delivery, it will be a long walk to take your food at the reception. If you got the rooms at the reception level, I'm sure it will be a great experience like the first time I was there in the Junior Suite, but this time it was not as pleasant. Thumbs up though for the housekeeping, as the found out I had many shirts lying on the sofa, they brought a small clothes rack and hung my shirts.

WWanmeichuxingMy first stop in Bali was Kuta, and this hotel was a great choice. It's super close to the airport, which is perfect for late-night arrivals. The hotel offers excellent value for money, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's also conveniently located for getting around. If you enjoy walking, it's not a long stroll to Beachwalk, and you'll even pass through Jalan Legian, soaking in the local sights and culture along the way. The hotel does have a pool, but it's on the smaller side, and I didn't get a chance to use it. This isn't really a hotel for just lounging around; it's more suited for travelers who plan to be out exploring daily or those catching a flight, and who don't have super high expectations for their accommodation.

GGuest UserWe love heritage buildings and vintage style, so these little bungalows were perfect for us. They were a little walk away from the reception (no buggy!) which meant so peaceful and quiet! Gorgeous wooden bedroom and bathroom. The shower is a little outdated and when I first turned it on there was a sulphuric smell which was a bit concerning. Basically, if you like rustic, no frills, no extra service etc then these are a lovely cute experience. However, if you want luxury and are squeamish about old style open homes, this isn't for you. Breakfast was very basic so we generally ate out. The main receptionist was a lovely gentlemen, a very quick registration and we were in! Rooms were clean and nice and dark for a cosy sleep at night.
