"I have a great stay at Citadines. Was not expecting a lot as i merely booked it as the one day tour company request to stay in hotel near Namba. It definitely exceeded my expectations in many ways. Location is around 200m to Kuromon market where you can find plenty of goodies and food. It also connects to the popular Dotonburi where you will go crazy finding outlets like Onitsuka Tiger & Popmart as well as popular eateries like Ichiran ramen! Good to book a premier room that comes with a kitchen. It does daily housekeeping with lounges & a launderette. Very happy to stay there! Highly recommended!"

"Excellent location above Osaka Takashimaya, linked to Namba Station directly by lift. Getting to the hotel was abit confusing using google maps until we figured it out. Overall their location makes for ease of shopping & convenient offload the bags in the hotel room.
The check in desk was very professional & the bath tub was European size (we booked twin beds).
Of the 3 hotels that we booked in Osaka (&Here Namba, Universal Port Vita, Swissotel), Swissotel was the only hotel that could read & execute our consistent requests to push the twin beds together so our toddler could sleep in the middle. Thumbs up for their professionalism. There was also a pair of kid slippers laid out for our kid.
There is a friendly hotel bar (free entry, subject to opening hours in afternoon) on level 9 that allows one to play retro video games like Mario & board games etc. Our kid throughly enjoyed their hotel bar games.
As Swissôtel is a business hotel, there is no water pitcher in the room & no ice dispenser room. The toilet is a combined one-room facility. However, the rooms are quiet, the water pressure is great & everyone slept really well.

"I used to stay at InterContinental, but now that my child is older, we need three beds. I tried the old dragon (likely referring to a specific hotel or area) and had a great experience, the location is excellent. The airport shuttle bus goes directly to the hotel's first floor, and there are Chinese-speaking staff to assist with check-in on the ninth floor.
For daily trash, you need to put it in the garbage bag behind the door and attach a yellow label for it to be collected. Room cleaning is indicated by a magnetic sign behind the door; you take it off and place it on the door. However, I only found this out on my last day 🥲. The cleaners had been changing my bedding for me in the days prior."

"Perfect location which very close to Bigcamera and Edion. The hotel has a unique facility which is their vacuum bag machine!!! I love it so much. And they do have snack bar which is FOC to all hotel guest, including free flow sake, Japanese liquor, wine, soft drink, hot drink like coffee and tea, pan cake, cheese, etc. A superb friendly hotel, recommend whoever visiting Osaka to choose this hotel."

"The room was quite spacious for Japan, and the service was very friendly. The hotel had a really pleasant fragrance. The night view of Osaka Castle from the top floor in the evening was a real highlight, and the nearby restaurants were also delicious. The breakfast provided was pretty good too. The only minor inconvenience was that to go down from your room, you had to take the elevator to the top floor first and then switch to another elevator to reach the first floor. Other than that, everything was great."

"The biggest surprise was the transportation; Shinsaibashi Station's Exit 8 subway entrance leads directly and seamlessly into the hotel lobby.
The hotel's location is truly a golden hub. Daimaru department store is right across the street, and the bustling Dotonbori is just a few minutes' walk away, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. You can purchase one-day passes for Universal Studios Japan (USJ) directly at the front desk. USJ is about a 30-minute drive from the hotel, which greatly simplifies trip planning.
While the hotel has been around for a while, the rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. Even with a child, we didn't feel cramped at all. Overall, this place met all the core needs for a family with kids regarding transportation, location, convenience, and basic services. Highly recommended!"

The hotel is very close to Namba Parks, Namba Station (for the subway), and Nankai Namba Station for the train to Kansai Airport, which is super convenient.
There's a Lawson convenience store right next to the hotel on the second floor, which I visited every night. It was fantastic to have nearby! I'd definitely stay here again next time."

"A fairly good place to stay even for several days. Amazing and delicious breakfast (till 2 p.m.! great for time zone-changers), all dishes are totally worth trying. Pretty small but perfectly equipped rooms (we had high floor with a bath), view could be more picturesque but was already nice enough.

"This was my second time staying at an APA Hotel, and although it's new, it was very clean and comfortable. The room was very small, but it was functionally designed so I didn't feel inconvenienced. It was also nice that there was a large public bath and a convenience store on-site. I ended up extending my stay at short notice, so I asked the staff to compile the records for two different room types, and they were very accommodating."

MM41230****I booked this hotel quite last minute before my trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. After reading some reviews, I opted for a twin room for more space, and even though it's near a main road, it was very quiet at night. The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came daily. The hotel offers a variety of self-service toiletries you can pick up, and a special touch I appreciated was the complimentary overnight face masks. Downstairs, there's a large AEON food supermarket, and the Shiyobashi Subway Station Exit 2 is just a short walk away. Getting to Shinsaibashi only takes a few minutes. It's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere – truly a hotel that has it all!

We have been booked 21-24nov on our first stay and we plan to travel Osaka one more time so i have booked second stay from28nov-01dec. The hotel location no deny is the best. When you get off the airport limounsine to Osaka station it only take you 2 minutes walk to the hotel. SO SO SO many shopping malls around in walking distance with good food. I plan to go again in Feb26 and plan to stay in this hotel again. This hotel very quiet which i can't here any single noise from other guest which make my stay perfect. The restaurant which this time we have tried the buffet which is amazing and must try.

潘潘lucienWe were fortunate to book a hotel right in front of Universal Studios for this trip with our kids. The location is perfect — just a 3-minute walk to the park, with a Starbucks and Lawson right outside and plenty of dining options nearby. Although it was crowded due to summer holidays, the hotel had everything we needed and is ideal for families with young children. The room was very clean, with no unpleasant odors or smoke smell. There are also washing machines, dryers, water dispensers, and an ice machine available. Staying at a hotel so close to the park made our trip truly enjoyable!

The location is excellent—just under a 5-minute walk from Tengachaya Station, making it easy to access public transportation. There is also direct train from Kansai Airport to Tengachaya station, without transfer - bonus point if you arrived from KIX. There’s also a 7-Eleven nearby that offers Yamato luggage delivery service, which is very handy if you're traveling with heavy bags.
The hotel operates as a fully self-service property, with no staff at the front desk. Check-in is straightforward—they’ll email you a passcode to access your mailbox, where you’ll find your room key.
Rooms are compact, as is typical in Osaka, but very clean and feel quite new. The bed has storage space underneath, which is perfect for stowing large suitcases. Amenities are basic (toothbrush, comb, shaver), and you can pick them up at the front desk area, which also has a microwave available if you want to heat up food.
One thing to note: there’s no coin laundry on-site, so if you’re staying for an extended period, plan accordingly. The room brochure mentions a luggage delivery service, but I didn’t receive a reply when I tried to contact them using provided number.
Overall, it’s a solid option for short stays—comfortable, private, and very conveniently located near transit and services.

The room was spotlessly clean, and Sexually transmitted infection: and well-equipped with modern facilities, ensuring a comfortable stay. The location is highly convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transport. The staff were courteous and attentive, providing excellent service throughout my visit. My only complaint is that the milk vending machine was frequently out of stock, which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, the hotel offers a pleasant and reliable experience, making it a great choice for travelers. I would definitely consider returning for future stays.

GGrace 恩雅After staying in a cheaper APA hotel in Tokyo, my partner and I were looking forward to a higher-end stay at the Mercure in Osaka. It was... okay.
I'll start with the positives: the proximity to Dotonbori is the biggest plus. It's about a 3-minute walk to the main canal *****. The hotel is separated from the peak tourism chaos by a few streets, so it isn't too overwhelmingly busy around the hotel itself. Convenient FamilyMart and 7-Eleven options are nearby, as you'd expect. The room was clean. The Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor was also quite lovely and well-priced.
Now the negatives. First, the lighting was so dim in the hallways and the room itself that it was less ”pleasant mood lighting” and more ”I can't see anything/do my makeup.” I actually thought some of the lightbulbs were blown, but my partner pointed out they were just absurdly dim. Secondly, the door to the bathroom/shower was broken and wouldn't stay shut, so we had to use a few heavy items on the floor to keep it closed. Some of the USB outlets were also non-functioning.
Thirdly - and this may be our fault - the washer-dryer combo machine in our room (which was a big reason for us booking this hotel) was finicky to use and only had Japanese labels/instructions. The room guide on the smart TV did have some instructions, but we struggled to operate the machine regardless. Then, after we worked it out, the drying cycle shrunk and heavily wrinkled our clothes. This wouldn't be the end of the world, but the room had no iron or ironing board. You have to go to reception to hire an iron separately or use the ”iron room,” which we never saw the inside of because it was locked every time we tried the door.
None of these drawbacks were trip-ruining or anything, and in a cheaper 3-star hotel, we wouldn't be clutching our pearls about it. But because this is a pricier 4-star, internationally-known hotel brand, we expected more. Overall, the stay was not unpleasant, but it was nothing to write home about either.
