"I have a great stay at Citadines. Was not expecting a lot as i merely booked it as the one day tour company request to stay in hotel near Namba. It definitely exceeded my expectations in many ways. Location is around 200m to Kuromon market where you can find plenty of goodies and food. It also connects to the popular Dotonburi where you will go crazy finding outlets like Onitsuka Tiger & Popmart as well as popular eateries like Ichiran ramen! Good to book a premier room that comes with a kitchen. It does daily housekeeping with lounges & a launderette. Very happy to stay there! Highly recommended!"

"Excellent location above Osaka Takashimaya, linked to Namba Station directly by lift. Getting to the hotel was abit confusing using google maps until we figured it out. Overall their location makes for ease of shopping & convenient offload the bags in the hotel room. The check in desk was very professional & the bath tub was European size (we booked twin beds). Of the 3 hotels that we booked in Osaka (&Here Namba, Universal Port Vita, Swissotel), Swissotel was the only hotel that could read & execute our consistent requests to push the twin beds together so our toddler could sleep in the middle. Thumbs up for their professionalism. There was also a pair of kid slippers laid out for our kid. There is a friendly hotel bar (free entry, subject to opening hours in afternoon) on level 9 that allows one to play retro video games like Mario & board games etc. Our kid throughly enjoyed their hotel bar games. As Swissôtel is a business hotel, there is no water pitcher in the room & no ice dispenser room. The toilet is a combined one-room facility. However, the rooms are quiet, the water pressure is great & everyone slept really well. Thanks Swissotel"

"Osaka Station is a huge transportation hub. The location is unbeatable; the airport bus is super convenient for round trips, and it's just a few minutes' walk across the street to the hotel. Each person can bring two pieces of luggage for free, and staff will tag them and issue numbers while you're queuing. When traveling to surrounding cities, I recommend leaving half an hour early on the first day, as the various lines at Osaka Station can be a bit confusing. For JR, you need to pay attention to whether it's a Super Rapid, Rapid, or Local train on different platforms. The room size was also perfectly adequate. The surrounding shopping malls are all connected, which is very convenient, and you can find all brands there. The shopping experience is much better than Shinsaibashi, with more locals around."

"My friends and I came to Japan for National Day, and we specifically chose to stay in a five-star hotel for a day. This place had good reviews, and it looked like it had a great view directly facing Osaka Castle. When we arrived, it was evening. At the lobby, they took all our luggage. We just had to go upstairs to check in. The staff brought our luggage directly to our room. The front desk needed passports for everyone and a deposit. I heard that credit card refunds can be slow, so I opted for a cash deposit. The accommodation tax was directly deducted the next day. The room was really spacious! And since there were three of us, the hotel set up a third bed by the window. The capsule coffee in the mini-bar was free, but there was a price list for everything else. There was a surprising amount of water in the room. The bathroom was huge, with separate wet and dry areas, and a large bathtub. They provided three bathrobes and even separate spring/summer pajamas in the drawer. The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner all smelled lovely. We also made sure to check out the gym. One of my friends woke up early the next day to work out (so dedicated!). You need your room key card to enter the gym. It was very clean, had a good selection of equipment, and even complimentary fruit. The swimming pool seemed to require reservations, and since we didn't bring swimsuits, we didn't go. For breakfast the next day, you just give your room number and then there's a menu to order from, with both Western and Chinese options. I ordered fried eggs with sausage, and my friend had the Japanese set. Other items like bread, pastries, coffee, and yogurt were self-service, but I thought the taste was just average. Oh! One thing I thought was really great was that my friend got her period and stained the bedding. When we checked out, I asked the front desk if there would be a cleaning fee, and they said it was absolutely fine! That was really good. Plus, they even had a Chinese-speaking front desk staff, so communication was seamless."

"Seeing comments about La Mer toiletries immediately made me book this hotel. The location is unbeatable, super convenient. It's right opposite Shinsaibashi Daimaru, and directly connected to the subway and a shopping mall underground. The hotel service was excellent; we got a free upgrade to a 3-bed room. The hotel lobby is quite elegant, but the room itself needs a bit of a critique. With three beds, it's definitely a bit cramped, although the sleeping area was spacious. The curtains were showing their age (see photo), but since we were on a high floor, the view was good. The bathroom felt a bit old, and there was an occasional sewage smell from the drain."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, conveniently located near Namba Station. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s about a 6 minute walk to Kuromon market and 15-20 minute walk to Shinsaibashi, which was perfect for exploring the area. While we didn’t use many of the hotel’s facilities, the room quality and prime location made our stay very enjoyable."

"Excellent service from the front desk and hotel team; everyone we spoke with was friendly, efficient and eager to help with any requests we had. The property is located in a quieter area but close to two subway stations, with several highly rated food options in the vicinity. Also a 10-minute walk to the Shinsaibashi shopping district, and a 15-min walk to Kuromon Market and Dotonbori. The superior two-bedroom apartment felt surprisingly roomy despite its modest dimensions, and worked well for our family."

"Nice rooms I booked one with a view over Osaka. Hotel is 10 mins walk from Dotonburi and very close to Namba station entrance from there about 5 mins walk to subway lines that take you further into town I didn’t include breakfast but paid for one morning it was quite expensive but the food was good quality and the views over Osaka from the 40th floor while you eat are stunning! I asked the maids to clean my room a day ahead of schedule and they were more than willing and also came back as scheduled the next day. While pricey I cannot fault my stay there"

"Finding the most efficient way to the hotel from Umeda Station was a bit of a challenge initially. (A helpful tip: take the pedestrian walkway from Umeda Station, proceed past the Hanshin Umeda Main Store, and then take the escalator down to the first floor for a smooth arrival.) The hotel was spotless. Having a large public bath was also a huge plus, which was perfect for unwinding and relieving fatigue!"

YyucongseuExcellent stay! The room was very spacious, and the facilities and service were consistently up to InterContinental standards. The view from the window was great, offering a glimpse of the red Ferris wheel. The location is superb, right next to Osaka Station and Umeda Station, making transportation incredibly convenient. There are tons of shops and restaurants nearby, so dining, drinking, and shopping are all very easy. Plus, breakfast is free for children under six, which is a great value.

MM41230****I booked this hotel quite last minute before my trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. After reading some reviews, I opted for a twin room for more space, and even though it's near a main road, it was very quiet at night. The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came daily. The hotel offers a variety of self-service toiletries you can pick up, and a special touch I appreciated was the complimentary overnight face masks. Downstairs, there's a large AEON food supermarket, and the Shiyobashi Subway Station Exit 2 is just a short walk away. Getting to Shinsaibashi only takes a few minutes. It's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere – truly a hotel that has it all!

I plan to go again in Feb26 and plan to stay in this hotel again. This hotel very quiet which i can't here any single noise from other guest which make my stay perfect. FFrodocat”This is a very good hotel. The room was very spacious for the price we paid. It was fully equipped, including a sink, a washing machine, and two large beds. The location is considered good, close to Dotonbori, and easy to travel from. It was quiet, and we had a great night's sleep. If I come back next time, I will definitely stay here again.”

MMeitounaohahahahaThis is one of the few hotels in Japan with a 12 PM checkout, which is great. There's a Christmas tree downstairs that adds a lovely atmosphere. We went to the theme park on our second day, and this hotel is the closest one to it – the entrance is right downstairs! Food options are also very convenient. I highly recommend the fried beef cutlet, it was absolutely delicious! Our clothes got soaked on the Jurassic ride, which was totally unexpected, but thankfully we could just pop back to the hotel to change. You just need to get a stamp from the staff at the entrance to re-enter the park. I hope to bring my kids here next time and will definitely stay here again!

VVinzy NgGood hotel with spa with mediocre services.  The room was neat, clean and feeling new.  However, staffs are not familiar with English, not even talking Mandarin. Using the translator with poor voice input was troublesome and sometimes it interpreted wrong meanings. Room service if missed will not be provided again on that day. Also, there were many spa-only visitors simply lying on the spa floor.  Parts of the male spa were under construction and one night there were no 40 degree Celsius or higher pool as they were all under cleaning at the same time. The ground of the spa was very slippery, mostly because many visitors did not bother to rinse themselves well after using the conditioner. The breakfast buffet is good in terms of food choices and environment. But I dislike the scrambled eggs, which had a texture tasted awful.

GGuest UserThis hotel is a great choice for short stays, especially if you’re looking for convenience and privacy. The location is excellent—just under a 5-minute walk from Tengachaya Station, making it easy to access public transportation. There is also direct train from Kansai Airport to Tengachaya station, without transfer - bonus point if you arrived from KIX. There’s also a 7-Eleven nearby that offers Yamato luggage delivery service, which is very handy if you're traveling with heavy bags. The hotel operates as a fully self-service property, with no staff at the front desk. Check-in is straightforward—they’ll email you a passcode to access your mailbox, where you’ll find your room key. Rooms are compact, as is typical in Osaka, but very clean and feel quite new. The bed has storage space underneath, which is perfect for stowing large suitcases. Amenities are basic (toothbrush, comb, shaver), and you can pick them up at the front desk area, which also has a microwave available if you want to heat up food. One thing to note: there’s no coin laundry on-site, so if you’re staying for an extended period, plan accordingly. The room brochure mentions a luggage delivery service, but I didn’t receive a reply when I tried to contact them using provided number.  Overall, it’s a solid option for short stays—comfortable, private, and very conveniently located near transit and services.

GGrace 恩雅After staying in a cheaper APA hotel in Tokyo, my partner and I were looking forward to a higher-end stay at the Mercure in Osaka. It was... okay. I'll start with the positives: the proximity to Dotonbori is the biggest plus. It's about a 3-minute walk to the main canal *****. The hotel is separated from the peak tourism chaos by a few streets, so it isn't too overwhelmingly busy around the hotel itself. Convenient FamilyMart and 7-Eleven options are nearby, as you'd expect. The room was clean. The Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor was also quite lovely and well-priced. Now the negatives. First, the lighting was so dim in the hallways and the room itself that it was less ”pleasant mood lighting” and more ”I can't see anything/do my makeup.” I actually thought some of the lightbulbs were blown, but my partner pointed out they were just absurdly dim. Secondly, the door to the bathroom/shower was broken and wouldn't stay shut, so we had to use a few heavy items on the floor to keep it closed. Some of the USB outlets were also non-functioning. Thirdly - and this may be our fault - the washer-dryer combo machine in our room (which was a big reason for us booking this hotel) was finicky to use and only had Japanese labels/instructions. The room guide on the smart TV did have some instructions, but we struggled to operate the machine regardless. Then, after we worked it out, the drying cycle shrunk and heavily wrinkled our clothes. This wouldn't be the end of the world, but the room had no iron or ironing board. You have to go to reception to hire an iron separately or use the ”iron room,” which we never saw the inside of because it was locked every time we tried the door. None of these drawbacks were trip-ruining or anything, and in a cheaper 3-star hotel, we wouldn't be clutching our pearls about it. But because this is a pricier 4-star, internationally-known hotel brand, we expected more. Overall, the stay was not unpleasant, but it was nothing to write home about either.

GGuest UserDecent location, close to dotonbori but not stuck in the middle of it. Staff were friendly. Room was decent size, enough to store and open suitcases if needed. Room was clean except toilet seat had something sticky on it needed wiping off with soap. Bed was comfy. Door Locks were a bit awkward/noisy (tap with your hand, then with the card to unlock). Things like toothbrushes and Razer's etc were available in the lobby Konbinis close by, main Namba train station about 15 mins walk, otherwise closer station was about 5 minutes walk.
