The room was tiny; we could only open our luggage in the hallway. Housekeeping wasn't daily (only once every 3 days), and only towels were replaced. The hotel's Wi-Fi was incredibly unreliable, constantly cutting out and very slow, even the room-specific connection. The hotel is about a 7-8 minute walk from the nearest subway station, and there's a 24-hour Lawson convenience store right downstairs. On a side note, the front desk staff's attitude towards Chinese guests wasn't bad, but they weren't particularly enthusiastic either. I noticed a female front desk staff member, wearing glasses, bowing and escorting Western guests all the way to the elevator, which made me feel a bit disappointed. One more thing about the room rates: the hotel sometimes offers very cheap prices on the day of check-in (I assume they lower prices last minute if rooms don't sell at a higher rate). This feels unfair to those of us who paid in advance for non-refundable bookings.

Arrived before check-in time, and there was an area for you to store your luggage so that you still can go around exploring Tokyo hands-free. The area was very convenient as it was near a few train stations as well as the JR line. It is also located close to the monorail line which goes to Haneda airport. The room however, was small which is quite typically seen in Tokyo would recommend for solo travellers, but might be a bit cramp for a couple.

This truly felt like a local business district, with a fantastic vibe and atmosphere, and dining couldn't be more convenient. There's no need to chase after hyped 'influencer' restaurants or make reservations; the local dining scene is excellent, and you'll find locals frequenting these spots after work. The hotel is only a 2-minute walk from Daimon Station (Toei Line), and the JR Yamanote Line is just another 3-4 minutes further. In the evenings, I even found an open-air yakitori joint right on the street – a great find I only discovered when I was transferring to my Disney hotel. Honestly, there's no need to trek all the way to Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho for food, unless you're solely focused on checking off those trendy, 'insta-famous' spots.

Overall, it was pretty good. The transportation is very convenient, and it's quite close to the station. Downstairs, there are all sorts of food options, and a convenience store is just around the corner. Everything is very convenient. The breakfast was just average though, probably because there weren't many people eating, so there wasn't much variety to choose from!

Everything is excellent, very clean, very cozy, very well-maintained. You can have a spectacular Tokyo's view on the rooftop.
Location is convenient as well, you have quick access to every popular sightseeing spots in Tokyo.
Staff is professional and super friendly. One staff whose name is Nicole, she is a fantastic staff, very quick-response, very friendly, very gentle, also, she always wears a big smile whenever I see her. This was my second time living in 9th hotel. She was definitely one of the reasons why I came back to 9th so happily and calmly, as I always felt respected and pleased by seeing her affable and sunny smile. I think your staff is really professional and treat customers very well. Nicely done, Nicole and all other 9th hotel's staff crew!! I am very impressive!!

The breakfast was pretty good; the curry rice is apparently a specialty and tasted great. The room was clean enough, but it was incredibly small – we couldn't even open two suitcases. The hotel's location was decent, a bit of a walk from the subway station, but an acceptable distance.
A 5-minute walk from Shimbashi Station.
Close to the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Station, Ginza, and more, this hotel is extremely convenient for sightseeing in Tokyo.
It's also close to Tokyo Tower and located along the JR Yamanote Line, making travel very easy.
The room type is a mixed-gender dormitory room.

For the last two days of my trip to Japan, I returned to Tokyo and booked a different capsule hotel this time.
The Shinbashi KON Hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from JR Shinbashi Station. Check-in is done via a self-service machine, which provides you with a password. It's available 24/7 and very introvert-friendly!
The hotel has a total of 3 floors. B1 houses the lounge, laundry room, and showers, while floors 1 and 2 are dedicated to capsule rooms, which are co-ed.
Starting with B1, the lounge has reading lights at every seat, plus a fridge, microwave, and sink for simple food preparation. The shower room has over 10 cubicles and 7-8 vanity areas, each equipped with a hairdryer. There's also an abundance of towels available at the entrance. Overall, it's very convenient and offers a good experience.
Now, regarding the capsule rooms: each floor's restroom has 4 cubicles, one of which is for men only and contains only urinals. This design seems to maximize efficiency.
The hotel's attention to detail is commendable. For instance, the co-ed restrooms are stocked with feminine hygiene products for emergencies, and earplugs are provided in every capsule.
These are the strong points of this capsule hotel. However, compared to the other one I stayed at, its drawbacks are also quite noticeable.
Firstly, there's no elevator, so climbing stairs repeatedly can be a pain, especially if you have a large suitcase.
Secondly, the capsule facilities are quite basic, with just one light and one power outlet. The capsule height is a bit low; my long winter coat, which could hang freely in the other capsule hotel, couldn't here.
Finally, each person only gets a very small locker, roughly big enough for a shoulder bag. Neither a backpack nor a suitcase will fit, so everyone's luggage ends up piled in the hallway.

The location is great, about a 10-20 minute walk to the subway station, Ginza shopping street, and Tokyo Tower. While it's a bit of a stroll, it offers excellent value for money, and the room itself is quite spacious, comparable to a high-end business hotel back home like Ji Hotel or Atour.
Inside the room, there's a large sofa bed, perfect for extra luggage or belongings. You can easily fit two or three suitcases without feeling cramped. The view from the window in my room was also lovely. The street where the hotel is located has a charming vibe, with many buildings featuring orange facades.
The hotel fridge is stocked with complimentary drinks, which are refilled by the housekeeping staff every day. There are also plenty of 24-hour convenience stores downstairs, which is super convenient.
Check-in is fully self-service and contactless, using a machine and your passport.

Our five-night stay at the hotel was pleasant. The room was clean and provided toiletries, towels, and robes. Small items were available at the front desk. Towel changes and trash disposal are available daily, and linen changes are included for stays of four or more nights (this can also be requested separately, but may incur an additional fee).
The twin-bedded room is pretty small, with a small table and folding chairs. There is enough space to move around even with one medium or large suitcase in the room.
Breakfast is about the same every day: eggs, sausage, meatballs, chicken, vegetables with dressings, pastries, and soups.
The building also has a washer and dryer, a beverage machine, and a currency exchange machine.i

The hotel facilities are relatively new and clean. The bed size was just right (not like some hotels where it's only 0.8 meters wide), and although the room was small, the layout was reasonable. It had a fridge and a safe, and there were plenty of power outlets in the room. Even though the bed was by the window, it wasn't cold at all in winter because the window had excellent sealing and two layers of blinds – one opaque and one translucent. Breakfast, which I bought separately for 1500 JPY, was nutritious and tasted good; it was nice to have something warm in winter. The only drawback is that the soundproofing is very poor. I could clearly hear noises from the adjacent rooms, whether it was snoring from the guests across the hall or staff cleaning rooms. However, for a hotel of this caliber, you're looking for value for money. It's clean, hygienic, new, has a safe for passports and bank cards, good service, and is affordable (only around 300+ a night in early January), which already meets my needs.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is fantastic. You can reach the Shinjuku Station New South Exit in just a few minutes from the second floor. The rooms on the higher floors offer great views, perfect for seeing the city lights twinkling at night. Plus, there's an Alexa smart assistant in the room that you can connect to via Bluetooth.
ZZhongguangguangHonestly, aside from the price, this hotel has no flaws. It has its own natural hot spring, free to use after 3 PM as long as you follow the communal bathing rules. After a thorough rinse, you can enjoy a relaxing soak. From 5 PM onwards, there's even complimentary alcohol served on the first floor.
Every day, you can choose free pajamas and pillows, with various softness and firmness options available. There's an ice machine on each floor, where you can also get iced water.
Fresh and clean bath towels and other linens are provided daily.
The service is incredibly attentive and meticulous. Every time you leave, someone at the front desk wishes you a safe journey. When checking out, someone at the door will open it, bow, and wish you a safe trip.
Downstairs, there's a ramen shop open until 4 AM, so even if you miss dinner sometimes, you're in the central Ginza area, with countless restaurants open until the early hours just a few steps away.
The K S Higashi-Ginza Station is right at the doorstep. Across the street is the Higashi-Ginza Line of the Hibiya Line, and just one more street over is the Ginza Station of the Ginza Line, making transportation extremely convenient.
JJohn Zhu ≧◔◡◔≦Thank MIYU
During my trip to Japan, I stayed at this hotel. The front desk staff, MIYU (an intern), left a very deep impression on me.
I arrived at the hotel earlier than the check-in time, and my English is not very good. However, MIYU could already understand what I wanted to say before I finished my sentence. This shows that she truly understands the needs of customers and is very empathetic. She is also very familiar with all aspects of the hotel’s operations and answered my questions patiently.
Her attitude and work performance are truly commendable, and she made me feel very welcomed. I am very grateful for her help.
≧◔◡◔≦

MmtmlCleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob).
Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn.
They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park.
However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay:
1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around.
2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.
GGuest UserSubway access nearby is quite convenient. At approximately 15.6 sqm, the room felt noticeably more spacious compared to the typical 10 sqm rooms often found in other business hotels nearby. The hotel seemed to attract a lot of international guests. A coin-operated laundry facility is available on the 13th floor (300 JPY for a wash, 100 JPY for drying), though it tends to get quite busy in the evenings. There's a small gym on the third floor, which I considered a nice bonus. Breakfast was decent, and the restaurant also serves lunch. My only minor complaint is that, despite being a non-smoking room, I could faintly detect a smoky smell on the bath towels and pillows.
SSunshinaGreat location, great service !
We had an early check in at 1pm and we are so glad with this service, we off load all our luggage right away and explored the heart of shinjuku.
This area is safe and convenient for night city explorer, the roof top bar offers great view for us to enjoy our drinks.
Will definitely come back and recommend to friends.
WWeiHooI have tried a few capsule hotels, this is by far the worst. My capsule was on the fifth floor, but the lockers are located on the fourth floor which is very inconvenient since the shower is on the eighth floor. There is a sitting area outside the capsule room which is an unsightly mess as shown in the pictures. The mattress is hard and uncomfortable. What bothered me the most is the door that supposed to shun off the noise from outside, made a loud noise when it closes. I wonder if they are not aware of it or no one complains to them. Imagine how many people comes in and out the entire night and the cranky noise disturbed my sleep. I hope the management will be made known of this default. I will never come back again.
GGuest UserNice experience!Overall I recommend it for solo travellers. The location is central and it is close to metro stations.
Also, the bedsheets are changed everyday, you get clean pyjama and towels everyday.
One thing that was annoying is the size of the lockes, it is very small and little bit inconvenient with the card sistem.
Also keep in mind that you have to be out of the hotel during the certain hours due to cleaning.
BBep SumangIt was a nice experience staying at Hotel Centurion Ueno. The location is very convenient, with train stations nearby and a convenience store just across the lot. There are also several restaurants in the area, as well as easy access to Ueno Park, Ueno Zoo, and the Ameyoko street market. The room is small but can accommodate two average-built persons. Although the hotel was under renovation at the time, overall it was still an awesome stay, and I give it a 👍👍.
GGuest UserThe stay was enjoyable. The person that cleaned the rooms was really friendly and helped us always out. Washing machine was perfect for us. The only complain I have is that under the bed it was really dirty.
