Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport - Directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3

After checking in, we went to grab something and when we came back, our room key didn't work. As you can see from the video I shared, the hotel hallway is incredibly long, and I was assigned to a room at the very end (understandable since I requested a quiet room). However, due to a front desk error (this was the hotel's later explanation; initially, when I asked at the front desk, they couldn't explain it, and since my English isn't great, I contacted customer service directly), I ended up running back and forth. The hotel's elevators seem to have a strange design where some only go up to the 6th floor without any indication, making it quite confusing. For travelers choosing this hotel, who are usually on the go, no one has time to figure out how the elevators work. I'd advise against staying in this airport hotel unless you're in a mad rush, as there's a long connecting corridor to the airport, and you'll have to drag your luggage yourself. Hotels outside the airport usually have shuttles that drop you directly at the departure level. Also, I suspect the hotel's cleanliness isn't great, as I found dried shower gel drops in the bathroom.

Haneda Terminal 3 is the largest terminal for international flights at Haneda Airport. Given the time differences, there are inevitably many early morning and late night flights, so staying here for a night is undoubtedly a smart choice. The hotel is very straightforward. Check-in and check-out are handled by a row of machines, and the interface is convenient and simple. Once you have your key card, you can head straight to your room. The hotel facilities are decent, and the Wi-Fi is good, making it very suitable for business travelers.

The hygiene was not great; there was still hair in the bathtub. Also, avoid the triple room; it's an attic conversion. The environment isn't as good as the twin rooms on lower floors, and it doesn't have central air conditioning, so the ventilation isn't very good, and it smells a bit musty/sweaty.

Direct access to Haneda Airport Terminal 3, and the shuttle bus to T1/2 is also very close. Self-check-in was a breeze, making it super comfortable for an early morning flight the next day. Overall, highly recommended for transit passengers.

This hotel is located on the second floor of Terminal 3's arrivals hall. After exiting the subway, you need to walk through a connecting corridor to reach the garden below, and the front desk is right upstairs. It's especially suitable for those with early morning flights, or families with children who want to avoid rushing around – you can just get dressed and head straight to check your luggage. Highly recommended for transiting passengers with early morning or late-night flights.

This was my second stay, having previously visited in February during winter. This time, I'm not sure if it's because the room hadn't been occupied or for some other reason, but as soon as I entered, it felt hot. Even with the air conditioning set to 22 degrees, it remained warm. I didn't fall asleep until very late, and the duvet was far too thick, like a winter blanket. The air conditioner was noisy, and the fan blades were covered in dust. Again, I was given the first room, just like last time. Is it a common practice for Chinese guests booking through Ctrip to always get the first room? While I'm not superstitious, I've been given the first room both times I've stayed here, and I can't choose my room. On the positive side: - Bottled water was provided. - The shower pressure was excellent. - The soundproofing was superb. - It's close to the airport, making it a good option for an overnight layover.
