"This was my second stay here, and it wasn't as good as the first. This time, there was a minor issue with the closet door in the room, and the hotel apologized and sent a small gift, which was a nice gesture, though not strictly necessary. However, ordering food and drinks by the pool was inconvenient this time. The outdoor amusement park was closed, which meant the poolside restaurants were also shut. We had to order from the small shop in front of the pool, and the selection was limited. The restaurant staff would then bring the food over. The pool wasn't crowded, but we were sitting in a cabana that required payment. Before our food arrived, an older staff member politely asked us to either move or pay. Honestly, with the outdoor amusement park closed and the pool area so quiet, I wondered why they couldn't just let guests use the cabanas for free. But, hotel rules are hotel rules, so I didn't object. What really stood out, though, was how unfriendly the staff at the shop in front of the pool were. The second woman from the right in the last photo was the worst – no smile, a terrible attitude, and very impatient. She's really not suited for a customer-facing role. I wanted to order another glass of red wine but decided against it because I didn't want to deal with the unfriendly staff at the shop. I didn't even go to the pool the next day. By the way, from what month to what month is the outdoor water park usually closed each year?"

"I booked this Hong Kong and Macau trip for my parents. At 70 years old, I was a bit worried about them traveling alone, but the Hong Kong and Macau tour felt quite reliable. The flight from Beijing was quick, and I did a lot of research beforehand. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and helpful. The entire trip was perfect; they saw everything they wanted to see. 11 days in Hong Kong and Macau was more than enough!"

Hotel Central, nestled in the vibrant heart of Macau's historic city along Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, is ideally situated near iconic landmarks such as St. Paul's Ruins and the Senado Square. Following a meticulous HK$2 billion acquisition and revitalization project, this century-old treasure was gloriously reborn in 2024. This singular century-old boutique hotel ingeniously merges a nostalgic retro aesthetic with advanced technology and eco-friendly principles, resulting in an ambiance that is both evocative of the past and refreshingly contemporary.

"I absolutely loved this hotel and highly recommend it to everyone! Here's why: 1. The location is superb, right by Senado Square, and on the other side is Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro. It's only about a 10-minute walk to Grand Lisboa. 2. There are plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby, and a bus stop is just a minute away. 3. As expected from Macau's first skyscraper hotel built in 1928, you get panoramic views of the entire Macau Peninsula from its rooftop terrace. The hotel was renovated and reopened in 2024, so it's incredibly clean, comfortable, and hygienic, yet it still retains its classic and elegant room style. It's especially well-suited for older guests who appreciate a sense of history. Definitely recommend it to my friends!"

"I forgot to pack my slippers, but when I opened the closet, I found two pairs waiting for me—exactly what I needed! It's rare to find hotels that offer such a thoughtful touch these days. The bathroom is incredibly spacious, and there's even a TV built into the wall next to the bathtub. The view from the 15th floor is absolutely stunning; you can see the Ruins of St. Paul's in the distance. Lunch at the MJ Cafe on the first floor is a steal—for just a few dozen bucks, you get soup, a main course, and coffee. The staff were so friendly, and the place had a nice buzz even on a weekday. YOHO Treasure Island hotel, a landmark situated in the center of the transportation hub in the peninsula of Macau, boasts breathtaking views. The hotel features rooms with a sophisticated luxurious design that captures some of the most iconic landmarks, such as the stunning views of Nam Van Lake, the dazzling Nam Van Lake fountain, and the renowned Wynn fountain. As the sea meets the sky, the lake blends with the city, forming an unforgettable scenery. YOHO Treasure Island hotel provides long-stay apartment-style suites with fully equipped kitchens and washing machines, allowing you to feel at home while away. And located in the key area of Macau peninsula, the hotel is right in front of the largest bus transfer station in Macau and is connected to nearby Grand Lisboa, Hotel Lisboa, Wynn Resorts, MGM Macau, StarWorld Hotel, and Bank of China Building via pedestrian tunnels, offering convenient transportation while surrounded by stunning views. At sunset, the sunset paints the sky orange, reflecting on the lake surface, creating a romantic and beautiful scenery. When darkness falls, experience the dazzling city landscapes up close and bring home an unforgettable experience.

"Let's start with the positives, then move on to the negatives. **Pros:** The viewing glass was incredibly clean, making for a very pleasant city view. The bathroom had a rain shower. Both the bathroom and bedding were spotlessly clean, and the toiletries provided were of good quality. The hotel itself is relatively new. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very polite and helpful. The bedside outlets were compatible with mainland China plugs, so no adapter was needed, and the room even provided a three-in-one charging cable. **Location:** The location is excellent, right next to the Grand Lisboa, Lisboa, and Wynn (the original Wynn, not Wynn Palace). However, because the roads are wide, even though they're all on the same roundabout, it still takes about ten minutes to walk across several roads. Families with elderly members might want to consider this. If you're looking for convenient dining options, it's probably better to book a hotel near St. Paul's Ruins; there are a few good ones there. If you're not planning on gambling, you can also book a city view room to enjoy these landmark buildings. Of course, after crossing the road, there's a large bus hub (as shown in the picture), which is a huge plus because you can get pretty much anywhere in Macau from there. The hotel also has shuttle buses to other hotels and major border crossings, and taxis are easy to find. Personally, I think staying in the old district is more convenient than Taipa for city walks; within 1-4 kilometers, you can explore many historical sites, small shops, and local eateries. Macau is small, so taxis are convenient everywhere; the starting fare is 25 MOP, and it cost 76 MOP from Qingmao Port to the hotel. **Floors:** The front desk is on the basement level, so there's a distinction between the 'Hotel Lobby' (L floor) and the 'Entrance Lobby' (G floor). Taxis and food deliveries drop off at the Entrance Lobby, G floor. **Price:** For your reference: I stayed on a weekday in April, in a city view fountain room, and it cost 600-700 RMB including tax. **Cons:** The room lacked a 'Do Not Disturb' sign or light. When I smelled smoke, neither the operator nor the in-room phone answered. The wardrobe doors were covered in grease stains and fingerprints from previous guests; housekeeping likely only did a basic clean and didn't notice these 'common' areas on the cabinet doors. The soundproofing is indeed very poor. Whenever someone walks by in the corridor or talks at a normal volume, it's very noisy in the room. When the cleaning staff on the floor above or in adjacent rooms cleaned, and their mops hit the walls, it caused significant disturbance in the room (as shown in the video recording); it felt like the walls were hollow. Surprisingly, the window's soundproofing was good; despite the busy roundabout below with cars constantly passing, I couldn't hear any noise from outside. My biggest complaint is that the hotel has failed to enforce its no-smoking policy. The elevator smelled like a KTV, and the corridors reeked of stale cigarette smoke, as if the carpets had been smoked in. Passing one room, three men walked out, and the smoke smell that wafted out was nauseating. The 11th floor is supposed to be a non-smoking floor, but I often smelled smoke in the corridor, and on one occasion, the smoke directly entered my room. I opened my door to complain to the staff, but although they were present, they seemed to ignore the situation. Later, I spoke to the lobby manager on duty, who also expressed helplessness, stating it was a matter of certain guests' behavior, and they could only check for smoke smell upon checkout and fine the guests who had already checked out. This simply doesn't solve the problem, so non-smoking, rule-abiding guests like us become the victims. When I went to the front desk to ask a question, I saw a male staff member treating another guest's inquiry with a very perfunctory attitude, not even looking up, which was quite rude, like a roadside shopkeeper dealing with someone asking for directions. Overall, despite claiming to be a five-star hotel, the management is quite disorganized."

"Staying at the Rio Hotel in Macau was an absolutely fantastic experience! The French palace-style decor is incredibly elegant, with gilded carvings and a giant crystal chandelier in the lobby that's perfect for photos. The location is superb, right in the heart of the NAPE district. It's a short walk to the Lotus Square and the Grand Prix Museum, and there's a bus stop right outside, making it super convenient to get to Taipa and the Border Gate. The rooms have just been renovated and are spacious, clean, and offer amazing natural light. The bedding is so soft, I slept soundly all night. The facilities are excellent, including a heated pool, gym, and the fantastic Grand Orbit buffet, which offers Chinese, Western, and Japanese cuisine – even locals love it here. The service is incredibly thoughtful, with a 24-hour front desk and free luggage storage. The staff are warm and professional. It offers incredible value for money; for the same price, the comfort level is definitely top-notch. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Macau!"

Grand Emperor Hotel offers cozy accommodation with a combination of traditional British Royal Style and contemporary design. Situated in a prime location in the heart of Macau, walking distance to Macao World Heritage and attractions - The Ruins of St. Paul's, Mount Fortress, Senado Square, etc. Just 5-minute walk to Bus Terminal with convenient access to the Macao and COTAI attractions; 15-minute drive to ferry terminal and airport. Perfect for business and leisure travelers.

"This hotel is a bit old, and in Macau, where there's a big disparity between hotels, you have a lot of choices. However, this one is pretty good. We took a ferry from the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal to Macau, then a shuttle from Grand Lisboa to near the hotel, and it was just a short walk. Next door is New Yaohan, which is great for shopping, and there are also places to eat upstairs. It's quite close to the Ruins of St. Paul's on foot, and you can catch a bus downstairs to Taipa. All in all, it's excellent value for money."

"The rooms here are quite small for Macau hotels. This is my second stay, and for the same room type, the one I got this time was even smaller. There was no small sofa or lounge chair, and the automatic toilet was broken. Other than the good housekeeping and the polite staff, there's no reason for me to stay here again. Frankly, the broken automatic toilet was really annoying. I only stayed for two nights, and I only discovered it didn't have the automatic function when I went to the restroom at night. The remote control was just for show. At that point, changing rooms would have been such a hassle, especially being tired and with luggage, so I just dealt with it. Also, it wasn't soundproof at night; I kept hearing noises. To get to Grand Resort Deck, you have to cross the street to the Marriott, which is a bit awkward. If you put on your swimwear beforehand, you have to walk on the main road. If you bring your clothes to change there, there are no proper changing rooms with lockers. It's just a row of toilets with one shower stall, so you have to carry your clothes and shoes with you the whole time. It's very inconvenient if you're alone, unless you're a family and someone isn't going in the water and can sit on a lounge chair to watch your belongings."

Altira Macau is a contemporary luxurious hotel offering highly personalized and tailored customer service catering primarily to the high-end Asian-oriented market. The complex also features a contemporary Forbes Five Star rating hotel with spacious guestrooms, including luxurious suites and elegant villas, signature restaurants including Ying, Aurora and Tenmasa, the stylish 38 Lounge and the award-winning Altira Spa.

"This stay far exceeded my expectations! I originally booked it just for the decor, which I loved, but when I checked in, I found the room was incredibly spacious with excellent facilities. The housekeeping service truly went above and beyond with every detail. It was my first time seeing towels thoughtfully laid out at the bathroom entrance, in front of the vanity, and on the toilet floor even before I used anything. Honestly, the overall quality was well beyond what I paid for. After checking in, I went out for some shopping, and when I returned in the evening, I was pleasantly surprised to find that housekeeping had serviced the room again! Not only had they tidied up, but the half-empty water bottles by the bed were replaced with fresh ones, complete with new glasses, and another towel was placed at the foot of the bed. They even left a thoughtful complimentary travel-sized face cream. The only minor inconveniences were having to transfer once at City of Dreams if taking the hotel shuttle from the airport, and the standard Macau hotel check-in time of 3 PM with an 11 AM check-out the next day."

YYuhanxiaojiejieFacilities: The hotel is very new, both the software and hardware are up to par, meeting the star rating standards. Hygiene: I absolutely trust the hygiene in Macau, no issues there. Environment: The environment is great, smells lovely, thumbs up. Service: In terms of service, the only thing is that check-in at the lobby was a bit slow, even though it wasn't peak season. Hope they can improve on that, but the service itself was otherwise flawless.

LLengyu55After booking, I tried to contact the hotel multiple times without success; no one responded to my requests. Finally, Ctrip helped me communicate with the hotel the day before our trip. Initially, I was concerned about renovation smells in the Bond Tower and asked to be moved to the Banyan Tower. Ctrip informed me that as of April 2026, only the Bond Tower was open, which I accepted. Then, I requested to switch our king room to a twin room, and the hotel said it would cost an additional 90+ RMB, which I also agreed to. Many online reviews mention free room upgrades, but honestly, don't expect any of that anymore. I had also mentioned it was our 10th wedding anniversary, and while they didn't upgrade our room, they did give us a small cake. However, it was clearly an oversight as it said 'Happy Birthday' – very perfunctory. Furthermore, during check-in, halfway through the process, a South Asian supervisor-like staff member suddenly came over and, with a disdainful look, told us we needed to pay extra. I was thinking, hadn't Ctrip already clarified this, and hadn't we agreed to pay? Why did she act as if we were unwilling to pay and deserved her contempt? This was the first time I'd ever had such an uncomfortable check-in experience in Macau. The hotel's facilities and design are undeniably exquisite and beautiful. Although the room was small, the Bond Tower didn't have the strong renovation smell that some online reviews mentioned, which was a relief. The hotel also provided Eiffel Tower tickets, which was a pleasant surprise. After returning to the room in the evening, I noticed there was no turndown service provided, nor was the room tidied up a second time. The service was a bit lacking. Also, there were no size options for children's bathrobes; my 130cm, 80-catty (approx. 40kg) son couldn't wear theirs. The service staff and front desk employees had poor English proficiency. The only thing that truly impressed me was the heated swimming pool. Located on the 3rd floor, it offered great views, with comfortable loungers, lemon water, and towels readily available by the pool. The water temperature was a very comfortable 36 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for swimming even in winter, which was excellent. Overall, you can stay at this hotel, but don't have high expectations for the service.

GGuest UserCheck-in took way too long. When I booked, Trip.com showed that Grand Lisboa Palace offers 3 PM check-in. We arrived at the hotel at 2:40 PM, planning to shower and rest a bit before heading out in the evening. However, we were told our room wasn't ready and we'd have to wait an hour and a half. So, we walked around the mall and garden. At 4:30 PM, we checked again, and they said it still wasn't ready, another 30 minutes. We were getting sleepy from all the walking, and finally checked in at 5:30 PM. That's a solid two and a half hour delay. After complaining online, Grand Lisboa Palace only offered a small fruit platter as an apology, and nothing else. As for the hardware, I found the bed a bit too soft, which gave me a backache. The soundproofing in the room was mediocre; I could clearly hear people talking in the hallway. The shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom were bolted down, as if they were afraid guests would take them. Service-wise, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either – just average.

GGuest UserThe lady who handled our check-in was incredibly meticulous and patient, and the bedding in the room was exceptionally comfortable – those were the two best things. I was traveling with my mother, and they happily switched us from a king room to a twin room, which we appreciated. The area around the hotel is very picturesque for photos. For shopping, it's not as extensive as the Londoner. We went primarily for the Eiffel Tower and booked a lunch set menu at La Chine. After our meal, we were able to use our receipt to get free access to the top observation deck of the Eiffel Tower, which was a lovely bonus and fulfilled a little wish of ours!

PPina ColadadaThe hotel is conveniently located right next to a bus stop, and getting a taxi from the entrance is also a breeze. Downstairs, there's a restaurant called Yang Zhi Jin Lao (currently under renovation, but another branch offering takeout is just 500 meters away), as well as Tang Chao Sheng Shi and a tea restaurant. A pharmacy and bank are also nearby. It's a short trip to Rua do Cunha (Taipa Houses-Museum), just three bus stops away with frequent services. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful; you can even get complimentary bottled water. The room was surprisingly spacious, even larger than a 4-star hotel I previously stayed at on the peninsula. A special shout-out to the strong, kind uncle at the front desk! On our check-out day, we were waiting for our ride with lots of luggage, and he proactively helped us hail a taxi and load our bags. It was a truly heartwarming gesture. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Macau!

JJayJay1I booked a King Room with an ocean view. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. The minibar items were complimentary, except for the premium bottled water and wine (though no wine was provided in the room). A deposit of MOP 1,000 was required at check-in, which was fully refunded upon checkout. The hotel also offered free shuttle buses to major hotels and key departure points across Macau.
