City of Dreams - Morpheus Macau

9.7/10
Excellent

The hotel's design is innovative, and the bathroom features a spacious wet/dry separation with a unique pentagonal bathtub. Toiletries are plentiful, and the large sliding bathroom door operates smoothly with a satisfying weight. The mini-bar is well-stocked with water, tea bags, and drinks, and even includes two complimentary instant noodles! The room is equipped with a tablet for controlling lights, curtains, and other functions, which is a very modern touch. The 37th-floor view is expansive, overlooking Macau Airport, offering an extra sense of openness.

I've always wanted to stay at Hotel Okura, but it's so hard to get a reservation. I finally managed to book a two-night, three-day stay last week, and I was so impressed by the meticulous and thoughtful service. I have to give it a big thumbs up: 1. Before checking in, I emailed the hotel to let them know it was my husband's birthday in June and asked for some birthday decorations. They replied quickly, and to my surprise, they even sent a delicious matcha cake! [Strong] 2. The hotel lobby is open and airy with a simple, understated design. The bamboo garden courtyard is serene and luxurious, creating a wonderful ambiance. The front desk staff are all attractive and friendly. When we checked in, Johnny thoughtfully extended our check-out time to 1 PM. When we checked out, Alsen proactively asked about our stay and even gave us a hotel fridge magnet. The service from both gentlemen was truly exceptional. 3. The guest room layout is well-designed, comfortable, and practical. The Japanese design details are perfectly executed. The tea set is very practical, and there were also candies and fruit, with complimentary beverages. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job cleaning and thoughtfully organized all my jewelry and cosmetics. It's been years since I've seen such a comprehensive turndown service – water, slippers, and a bathmat were all meticulously placed, and they even provided a sleep spray and paper cranes. Coming back to a tidy room every day after enjoying the Grand Resort Deck was incredibly comforting. 4. I've already decided to bring my mom to Hotel Okura next time, and I hope it will be easier to book then. I do wish the trash can in the bathroom was a bit bigger. All in all, my stay at Hotel Okura was very pleasant and excellent.

Every year, I choose Galaxy Resort to celebrate my mother's birthday. Since it's summer, we can go to Grand Resort Deck to play in the water, and it's a one-stop shop for dining and watching movies. If you want to go from the hotel to the resort's mall, you can take a shuttle bus or walk to the JW Hotel. It's actually just across the road. On the day of check-in, I'm very grateful for the arrangements made by Yannie and Fung at the front desk. Both receptionists were polite, friendly, and very thoughtful. It was extremely busy that day due to a concert, and it was rare to see them maintain such professionalism. Their service attitude was excellent, and they provided us with a wonderful stay.

Lisboeta Macau-Maison L’OCCITANE

The hotel is conveniently located right next to shops, offering a wide array of dining options like Hong Kong-style cafes, Japanese restaurants, Western cuisine, and more. There's even an Emperor Cinemas, which is a huge plus. You really don't need to overthink your packing. Even if you forget a travel adapter, the room thoughtfully provides one. The room's design is incredibly comfortable and relaxing; you could even say it feels very much like home. I often dislike hotel rooms that lack space for luggage, but the L'Occitane-themed room at The Karl Lagerfeld offered excellent luggage placement. The room was spacious, and the bathroom and shower facilities were fantastic! Highly recommended!

This was my first time staying at this long-standing seaside hotel. Usually, when I come to Macau, I stay in 5-star hotels in Taipa. Compared to those, this one doesn't have the opulent, glittering decor, but instead offers a complete resort vibe, and it's incredibly good value for money! The room faced the sea, and the balcony was especially spacious – it was very comfortable to sit out there in the evening. Plus, the hotel wasn't crowded, and the swimming pool had a few fun activities, along with free ball games and board games. The kids had an absolute blast.

Lisboeta Macau The hotel located near the east asian games dome which is our destination during our Macau trip, and the hotel also just next to a shopping mall and near Grand Lisboa Palace ****** and also close with the Macau Airport. If you want to use the LRT you'll need to walk a little bit and the LRT will take you to other attraction places. There's also a lot of shuttle here to other destination you'll just check the schedule with the security or hotel staff. It's not difficult to find something to eat and there is convenience stores nearby open until midnight. The breakfast also nice with plenty of dishes served in the morning. The service is fast during check in, they opened several check in counter to accomodate us, the luggage storage and concierge serve us very well, their english also very good. The room is large and nice, with large bathroom, nice view from the window especially at night with the sparkling city view, there's vending machine in the alleys so we can purchase drinks and free ice machine.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, which takes around 15–20 minutes even with luggage. There’s also a nearby public bus stop that provides convenient access to the Cotai area. The housekeeping staff were friendly as well. Overall, the stay was good, although the design feels a bit old-school. The in-house ****** has also ceased operations since November 2025.

Waldo Hotel Macao

## Location: Absolutely a fantastic 5-star location! The hotel is directly opposite Sands, and Fisherman's Wharf is right next to Sands. March is the off-peak season in Macau, so there's no direct bus from Hengqin Port to Sands. You need to transfer at The Venetian, but it's still quite convenient. From Sands to the hotel, you have to cross a pedestrian bridge, but there's a 24-hour elevator. Once you exit the elevator, it's not a long walk in either direction, which is very helpful for travelers with luggage. ## Surroundings: To the right of the hotel, there's a small alley that leads directly to Macao Polytechnic University, less than 100 meters away, making it super convenient for students taking exams there. A 5-minute walk to the left will take you to the Lotus Square, and you can also see the Golden Lotus from the pathway behind the hotel. If you head right out of the hotel and walk straight down the main road for 15-20 minutes, you can reach the Grand Lisboa and Macau Tower. There are plenty of dining options nearby, probably due to its proximity to the university, with choices for all budgets. ## Facilities: The hotel reception is on the second floor. The interior facilities are complete, and the bedding and amenities are good. The room also has a refrigerator. The room isn't huge but doesn't feel cramped. ## Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well and felt comfortable. However, the windows are sealed, so upon first entering, there was a slight musty smell due to lack of ventilation. Thankfully, it dissipated after turning on the air conditioning and ventilation system. ## Environment: The hallway soundproofing isn't great; you can hear people walking and talking outside the room. Traffic noise from the street outside also comes through at night. However, this seems to be a common issue with hotels and can't be avoided. ## Service: The front desk staff are busy but very responsible, and they can switch between Mandarin and Cantonese freely for guests. A deposit is required for check-in, and Alipay is accepted.

The environment is beautiful and clean, and it's super close to the border crossing, making it very convenient for getting around. The location is key, with a nice surrounding area and a bus stop nearby offering routes to various places. It's an established star-rated hotel; the grand and luxurious lobby clearly shows its former glory. The price was acceptable for the summer holiday period. Room facilities and amenities were well-maintained, the bedding was clean and tidy, and the service was good. The breakfast area was also pleasant, with a sufficient variety of Chinese and Western options, and the food was decent. Staff frequently patrolled, promptly refilling items when they ran low. Staying for two nights, it was a satisfying holiday experience.
