There are three different room themes in Lisboeta Hotel Macao: 1) the standard Lisboeta theme, 2) Line and Friends and 3) Maison L’OCCITANE which revolves the French luxury retailer of body, face, hair, fragrances, and home products. And if you do pay attention, the Maison L’OCCITANE rooms are then subdivided into another two different themes. One of them has yellow and brown as theme colours that gives you a warm and embracing atmosphere and can be too much at times, while another one is more classy yet humble and is composed of bluish-green and beige colour with copper accent. Even though its slightly more expensive than the standard Lisboeta themed rooms, this latter Maison L’OCCITANE room will definitely spice your stay up especially when one is a frequent hotel guest at the Lisboeta and should not be missed out should you wish to experience all themed stays at the hotel.
As a frequent returning guest of the hotel, what I can say is Lisboeta is my top 3 picks in Macau. First of all, it is newly built, everything is really neat, clean and tidy which really makes myself as if I were at home. The bed mattress as well as pillows are the best ones as compared to other 10 hotels I have stayed in Macau. The hardness / firmness of the bed mattress is just optimal, while that of Grand Lisboa Palace and Roosevelt are also great, they are slightly soft and hard respectively as compared to Lisboeta. The pillows are divided into two different types, one has more firmness which supports your back when you are in an upright position, while another one is more soft and flat. With the combination of the two, be it in upright or in complete flat position, I fall into deep sleep every time and wake up fully recharged and energized the next day. The oxygen level in the room is also very high which makes me relaxed and refreshed most of the time. As for the shower, the rainfall is slightly weak, and I have to use the handset most of the time which I am not too much of a fan of. Having said that, I prefer the handset shower of the standard Lisboeta rooms which gives out ultra strong jet due to high water pressure. Nevertheless its acceptable if you are not in an over-drained state. The hotel also has vending machines and water refilling machines in a designated room found along the corridor which comes in handy if you are up for something light during the night.
The downside of this hotel is that 90% of the rooms in Lisboeta has appalling views as they are all facing an unconstructed land patch right beside the sea. Apart from this, you can also see all the pipe works, heaters, boilers of the hotel as well as the shopping mall from your room windows above which is kind of a shame. So if you are looking for a hotel with a nice view, Lisboeta is not your choice. Having said that, it is a great hotel for families as it has a shopping mall filled with shops of local products and food, a cinema, a famous Chinese restaurant, gaming arcade and other experience not available elsewhere, such as ZIPCITY which allows you to fly across the sky, etc... As for the location, away from most ******s and although a bit more remote than the hotels at the Cotai ***** area, the atmosphere is more clean and healthy as you will not find sexual workers roaming around and individuals from China coming to you most of the time asking if you need Hong Kong dollars for entertainment in ******s which is a gem in Macau!
Regarding hotel staff, as usual, majority of them are accommodating and friendly and would allow me to checkout later than usual which I greatly appreciate as I tend to check in at around 4am every morning. Guests can also collect and keep key cards as remembrance of their stay which is great! This hotel is worth returning!
