Amazing hotel the best hotel ever. Everything was perfect the cleanliness, the staff, the food even the location of this hotel is unbelievable. I used the fitnes center and was top even if I didnt have time to use it but I scheduled my timing to go to the gym for the 4 days I stayed there. Keep up the good work.

It is with great regret that i write to express my utter disappoinent and disgust in the manner with which i was treated at Lavender hotel & apartment located in Al nanda 1, Dubai. Myself and my fiancee checked in the evening of the 24th of August and attended to by a gentleman named Ahmed i believe. Ahmed's demeanor was extremely unwelcoming and cold from the onset. Perhaps he was having a bad day, but no excuses , if you work in the front of desk hospitaitlity industry you have to bring your A game as was not the case . A business acquittance decided to pop in to discuss with me briefly but was met with hostility by both Ahmed and the security personnel who would not allow him to come up to my hotel room. I went downstairs to meet my colleague at which point Ahmed was unapologetically insisting that it was a Police rule that guests could not visit a hotel occupants room after midnight. When asked to show us the rule book or guide to support his claims, he asked us to leave asked if we were police to be demanding such information and to follow up with the security manager in the morning. Myself , my companion and colleague left the premises to have a cup of tea around the corner for aleast 40mins. Upon my return with only myself and companion back to the hotel. Ahmed approached us and accused me of sneaking my colleague via the basement parking to my room. Obviously i was very upset with the accusation as i demanded to see the Video that supported his claims and also to speak to Hotel manager in the morning. Ahmed reluctantly refused to show us the replay of his footage and dismissed me off to bed and spoke to me as though i was a child. I calmly retired back to my room with my partner and sort to deal with the matter in the morning. Next morning of the 25th August, i approached the reception area and requested to speak to the manager and was greeted with another extremely unhelpful male staff who refused to give me any contact telephone number for the manager or even a contact email address to log in a complaint or aleast establish the underlying factors towards this type of customer service. I am deeply shocked at the hospitality shown by this establishment to say the least the manner in which i was treated, disrespect and attitude portrayed by their members of staff. I have lived in hotels around the world and this was an all time low in their overall performance both personally and professionally. I give them a zero rating and strongly suggest that the entire staff are taken to boot camp customer excellence training or atleast teach staff on how to manage and talk to respectable paying customer.

I stayed with my family in the hotel during Eid Aladha holidays for two nights. Itwas beyond expectation. We didn't feel it was crowded. The check-in was a little slow but Amgad from the Front desk was a real help. The Breakfast was good. The swimming pool was good, Although it need a Pool bar for serving soft drinks. Overall our stay was really fun. The location is near Emirates Mall, so it's also a plus. Great value for money. We will definitely come back

Very clean on arrival and cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. The hotel has excellent facilities - large restaurant area, gym and swimming pool. Breakfast choice was superb. It is very well located - short walking distance to the Tram (Palm Jumeirah station) and the monorail to the Palm. Most notably are the hotel staff who were always welcoming, polite and helpful -especially Main at the hotel reception who was very helpful when we needed a doctor

SSheila the FavI've been in the hotel now for over 24days and mostly enjoyed my stay as the the hotel is clean, the bed is good, it smells fresh and the ambience is suitable for the price of UNDER Dh180 per night for this location. It's a really good short stay hotel but Safety is an issue and largely due to their neighbourhood.
I think that most of their hotel staff is good but watch out for sexism. They also need more training to respect consumer rights.
Also they have an issue with 'holding structure' wrt their insurance. It's now 2nd Oct 2022, so if you read this a few years later, this cld be a totally different hotel.
- Barsha Heights is an urban neighbourhood in transition. Not suitable for those a bit conservative as I am.
I seriously question the safety- marketing match for this property and would not deem it suitable for families with small kids.
1) the bathrooms aren't kid-friendly and easily over-splash. I changed to a room with a bath tub but the tub sides are too high and it's a safety hazard.
- aesthetics is good but Design is not their strong feature.
-The housekeeping staff does a really good job to wipe down the floors. These guys are good. Their senior management is also pretty good. Their overall staff in general is too inexperienced for Dubai standard.
2) the floor landings aren't well marked and some kid got off on the wrong floor and got scared and confused. I got him off on the right floor. I saw him later with his parents.
- most guests here are friendly and look out for one another. Another guest looked out for me too. It's a friendly and trustworthy space between most guests.
3) they don't put up signs that contractor work is happening. Can do better.
4) The front desk and F&B do seem to take the mickey out of solo female travellers, so be straight up on what you expect.
- Push back and know your legal rights. It's likely a cultural thing. Seen it here before decades ago too. It was wiped out then but clearly it's resurfaced. So do what you can or move to Abu Dubai or Sharjah.
5) excellent food deals! Heart of the hotel!
The food is quite good for the price. Not too oily, good selection. The breakfast per the entire week was dh200+ and comes with fresh omelletes, Asian, Indian and European as well as fresh fruit. They improved the coffee. Really good deal! Clean cafe since it's new.
The pub also has a good meal deals under Dh100 this Sept 2022. They change in October. Ask and know your consumer rights before ordering.
But like a few other Dubai restaurants, the plates and glasses smell of stale dish washer. They fixed it immediately so that's good. But no one else complained and that was surprising to me.
Potent cocktails. Good bar tender from Morocco and another from Philippines called Joseph.
6) don't stand outside to look for a cab. The Security came to get me a cab. It's safer.
Really good hotel for under Dh180 but the neighbourhood sets them back a bit. I've been here a while and thank the staff for a pleasant stay!

GGuest UserThe Obelisk, Dubai Club upgrade is a must! The 360 degree views from floor 51 are unforgettable. I enjoyed many a cup of tea on Floor51 viewing amazing sunsets, the night sky and watching the coloured lights on the Burj Khalifa. During a very hot period due to a sudden change in the weather it was a treat to be able ‘pop’ to floor 51 and enjoy tea/coffee, afternoon tea and drinks in the evening whilst enjoying the stunning views. An excellent breakfast with a wide variety of items to meet all dietary needs. The room was lovely with stunning views. The swimming pool allowed a good swim and was particularly pretty in the evening. Fascinating watching the window cleaners! Not a job I would want. I am full of admiration. We did receive an upgrade as we waited 90 minutes to check in for club class. Staff need to be more relaxed. Just feel they are on edge. Your plate disappears nearly before you have finished eating. This in turn put me on edge. A more welcoming atmosphere needs to be adopted but still remaining standards. A special thank you goes to 'Satish' (do hope I have the correct name). He provided me with excellent service. i do say a very big 'thank you' to him. Satish you left me with some very interesting thoughts! To which I say thank you.

WWhoLaLaI just booked this hotel in the last minute after coming back from Abu Dhabi. The location is so great which is right in front of the metro.
But what i am more surprised is the standard of this hotel, from front desk to room, are all superb level.
The setting of the room is great. They have everything tidy and well prepared well for you. The most important is the cleanliness. You can find nothing to complain.
The staff here are friendly and warm welcoming to tourists. Special thanks to Gavy, he gives extra help to find me the currency exchange shop and where can go for henna art. You can feel the heartfelt greeting from his words and work.
Last but not least, honesty is highly appreciated, though you may think it is kind of basic requirement. I left my money and jewellery open in the room but everything is just safe.
I would highly recommend this hotel and certainly would love to come back next time♥️.

IIpek EmilyMy husband and I had our first holiday as a family of three with our 7 month old baby at Voco Dubai The Palm Hotel. We chose this hotel as it had a private beach (we didn’t want to spend time travelling to a beach each day), was located away from the chaos of Dubai, offered a king size bed (I cosleep with my baby), and there was an option for including breakfast (again did not want to spend time searching for or travelling to a breakfast location with a baby). Compared to other surrounding hotels, it is a relatively small and new hotel. However, this only enhanced our positive experience as it added a more personal touch. The valets (sorry I didn’t catch their names!) took our car down to the car park while other members of staff took our luggage to our room. Diana at the front desk was the first team member we met inside and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very spacious and clean. Thank you to Arun Gawam from Housekeeping! We enjoyed our coffee pods and Biscoff biscuits provided after each thorough clean. Some reviews mentioned noise but we only heard some drilling upstairs during the day and some music outside on Friday and Saturday night. Neither of these bothered us or our baby. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had plenty of choice with some of the options changing on each day so we had some variety. The welcoming, dynamic staff knew our tea and coffee orders from day one and always greeted us with smiles. We were asked daily if we wanted our eggs cooked in a certain way. This was great because our baby is just getting started on solids. Our baby girl loved seeing all the hardworking, smiley members of staff waving at her every morning. I would particularly like to thank Rojean, Rashmi and Aldrin as well as Fasha, Shiela, Juliet, Dioseth, Anu, Marion, Fhaizan, Amin, Chef Prabin, Chef James, Chef Anyu, Ariz, Sun and Puja. The private beach was a highlight of our holiday. We loved the easy and quick access to the beach with bottles of water and beach towels provided upon arrival. The cabanas were great for privacy as I had to breastfeed my baby on the beach. The WiFi was hit and miss on the beach but I guess that helped us relax more. Thank you to Bidan, Chamodi and Roni for taking care of us there! The only downside for me was the lack of power socket to plug the hairdryer in the bathroom or next to the mirror in front of the bathroom or by the mirror in front of the desk. We had to plug the hairdryer in the socket by the bed and therefore had to dry our hair on the bed, which wasn’t a major issue, just an inconvenience and a little loud right next to our baby. Overall, it was a great holiday experience thanks to each and every member of staff!

If you need any advice about places to visit or things to do while you are there, ask from Mahesh (a guy works there). He'll be very informative and specific about the places according to the time you have. Another perk is that the hotel is closer to a metro station and also surrounded by the Dubai creek. As this place is situated somewhere like the middle of Dubai, it is very easy to access anywhere you need. Rooms are clean and neat. Can easily accessible through lifts and NFC system. Do also have the mini bar option and dine in from room option. Food is also nice and tasty.

VVarunI stayed at Grand Excelsior hotel Al Barsha one night in Dec 2022. What an amazing hotel. I was greeted with such kindness and this continued throughout my stay. I booked the king room and my room was situated on the 6thfloor. The room was fantastic. Clean, modern, and had a fantastic view over .The rooms were big for dubai standards. I can’t complain about this hotel.

The tour started as a group, but some members had extra drinks and some wanted to see things slowly so we left the tower at different times. Dried date was delicious. So was the welcome drink. Photos in the lobby area were prohibited, but everywhere else, you can take as many photos as you want.

The overall feeling is that the furnishings inside are not much different from the 2010 Shanghai Expo, but the biggest visual impact is the seed space. I entered from the north side of Jumeirah Beach. There is a "Jumeirah Mosque" on the periphery. It was built in 1975. It is the largest mosque in Dubai and one of the landmark buildings. However, we took it on the bus and didn't get off the bus to watch it up close. There are more than 4,800 mosques in the UAE, more than 1,400 in Dubai, large and small, and some mini mosques are very common and difficult to identify.
