Mara River Safari Lodge Bali
4.3/560 Reviews
The hotel is located in the zoo area. You can enter and exit the zoo for free when you stay in the hotel, which is very convenient. The interior design of the hotel is in the style of the African savanna. There is a small balcony behind the room. You can directly see the animals from the small balcony. The hotel also provides fruits and carrots for feeding the animals in the room, which is very considerate. In the restaurant attached to the hotel, you can watch lion activities through the glass windows nearby. Don’t be frightened by the roar of the lion. There is only one restaurant in the hotel, and the price is on the high side. It is recommended that you order food online through grab and have it delivered to the hotel. The hotel service staff will be happy to help deliver it to your room. The service is five-star. In addition to enjoying the animals on the park bus, the zoo also has regular animal performances, including elephants, tigers, birds, orangutans, with bilingual introductions in English and Indonesian, allowing everyone to understand the animals, which is very educational. ring. It is recommended for family travel to bring children here to experience a different feeling of life.

We spent 2 amazing nights at rumah luwih. Room was luxurious. Bed so comfortable, decor beautiful, great shower and that bath tub looking out the windows was brilliant. View from balcony beautiful, especially sunrise. Pool was perfect. Staff were wonderful, nothing too much trouble. Food was some of the best in our month in Bali. Breakfast we could order whatever we wanted from the a la carte menu. Dinners were delicious. The grounds were lovely and I can see why it is a perfect location for a wedding. Not much around the hotel except local cafes and supermarkets but we had a lovely walk along the black sand beach path.

From a stress free airport pick up to our check out, our whole experience was so chilled. We arrived very late but were welcomed enthusiastically and offered complimentary satay and rice as well as a welcome drink. The accom has everything you need but what we really enjoyed was breakfast included and served to our villa with a nice choice of a la carte options. The opportunity to somewhat self cater (we went to the k circle top of the road to the left less than a 5 minute walk) to buy drinks and snacks and the villa had kettle, fridge/ microwave/ cooking plate; ideal for a couple wanting an escape or family needing a little space. Our room had a very comfortable large bed, walk in wardrobe, lovely outdoor heated shower, gorgeous jacuzzi, dining area in and outside. Pool area was lovely and we enjoyed lunch and cocktails served there. We had dinner at our villa ordering from the menu and served at time requested. The staff could not do enough yet left us to chill and relax but we’re ready on hand via portable mobile provided for anything we needed. If it’s a quiet and chilled few days that you need Villa L’Orange is ideal.

Highly recommend. Will definitely be returning. High standard in everything. Lush green beautiful Balinese gardens. The meals are exceptional. Beds are very comfortable with decent pillows. Very clean. Rooms are cleaned each day The pool is awesome. Every room has a water cooler for use. The friendly staff made us feel most welcome at all times making our stay very comfortable. We loved the resort’s forward thinking (hence Vision Villa) to be more eco - friendly without effecting the quality of our stay.
Utamas Keramas

Myself and my girlfriend stayed in Utamas for one week in September. Simple, clean room, comfortable bed, great working A/C, great shower with hot water, beautiful swimming pool, TV with english channels. The staff is super friendly and was always there to look after us. We were welcomed warmly into their traditional celebration which was happening one of the days and got to try their traditional food. Staff makes you feel like you are part of the family. If you are staying in the Keramas area, we highly recommend this place.
Keramas Sacred River Retreat Resort and Villa

So many reasons why I absolutely loved our stay at Keramas Sacred River...and why I'll definitely go back! The staff are one of the friendliest and most professional I've encountered in my many travels. It helps a lot too that they can converse very well in English. They make you feel right at home. The facilities are well kept and help create an all-around atmosphere of total relaxation. The Balinese coffee in the restaurant, which comes from Keramas village itself, has such well balanced notes. It was a daily highlight! The breakfast is delicious and has plenty of variety for a week-long stay. The services are value for money. The spa treatment was topnotch, and so was the laundry!

More about Bali

Introduction to Bali

Bali, an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, and stunning beaches, is the country's most famous tourist destination. Filled with ancient temples, rich arts and crafts, and a vibrant nightlife, Bali offers a kaleidoscopic blend of natural beauty and cultural depth.

Tips for Travelling to Bali

Bali's main international gateway is Ngurah Rai International Airport, located near the capital city, Denpasar. Travelers can explore Bali through taxis, local buses, bicycles, motorbikes, or even hired cars.

The official currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Most hotels and restaurants accept credit cards, but having some cash on hand for local markets and smaller venues is recommended. Indonesian is the official language, but English is widely spoken in tourist areas.

As for visas, many nationalities can enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days, but it's best to check before your journey.

Popular Attractions in Bali

Bali offers a wealth of cultural and natural attractions. Explore the ancient temples of Tanah Lot and Uluwatu, or immerse yourself in the artistic heritage of Ubud, Bali's cultural heart. Visit the Tegalalang Rice Terraces and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary for unique experiences.

Bali's beaches are equally enticing, with Kuta Beach, Seminyak Beach, and Nusa Dua Beach offering vibrant beach life. Surfing enthusiasts will love the waves at Uluwatu and Canggu.

Weather, Best Time to Visit, and What to Wear

Bali enjoys a tropical climate with temperatures fairly consistent year-round. The best times to visit are during the dry season, from April to October. Bring lightweight, breathable clothing, a hat, and sunscreen to protect from the sun. Also, remember to dress modestly when visiting temples.

Choosing Your Ideal Hotel in Bali

For luxury beachfront accommodation, consider the Legian Bali or the W Bali in Seminyak. In Ubud, the Hanging Gardens of Bali offers a unique luxury experience with its Instagram-famous infinity pool.

For budget travelers, the Puri Garden Hotel and Hostel in Ubud offers comfort and excellent service. The Dash Hotel Seminyak, with its eclectic and colorful design, is an Instagram-worthy stay.
