Highly recommended hotel in Shanghai. Location is superb! Right downstairs is Nanjing pedestrian street, less than 5 mins walk to M&M, all the good food and attractions are within walking distance. I travelled with a young kid and old folks. This hotel is awesome for them. Service by the hotel staff is exceptional! Special mention to Ivy for excellent service and ensuring I got the rooms near each other at the same level. Every staff is super friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay here and the next time I visit Shanghai I will definitely stay here again. ❤️🙏🏻

Lovely hotel in a great location. Easy walking distance to shopping and sightseeing locations, especially the Bund and Nanjing Lu. Huge shopping mall close by. Metro is an easy walk, and drop off/pick up for airport transfers is convenient. Plenty of local cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is really nice. Clean, well appointed and meticulously clean. Special mention about the staff. So friendly and helpful. Really appreciated their ability to speak English, as our spoken Chinese wasn’t good. They helped us with so much information about local dining, shopping and sightseeing locations. We arrived very late at night to check in. The staff welcomed us and gave us a free upgrade. The room was beautiful. Very roomy, good facilities and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in. We had the pleasure of dining in the revolving restaurant. Food and service were impeccable. The special chocolate globe dessert is a must have. Delicious beyond description. We stayed at the Radisson Blu for 4 nights and would happily have stayed longer. Would study there again without hesitation. Thank you for an enjoyable and memorable stay at your delightful hotel.

Convenient location to business buildings and tourist attractions. Just 2km or so to Nanjing Pedestrian Road. But, nothing much is opened before 10am near hotel. So, if you're looking for breakfast before 10am, you might need to travel a little further. There's a convenience store just underneath the hotel. However, for my room on 9th floor, every now and then, there's sewage stench coming from the vent, possibly from the toilet of the unit above? It lasted several minutes. That's the main issue with the unit. Otherwise, I had comfortable sleep and I appreciate the kitchen and washing machine in the room.

The hotel was very clean, and the location was excellent, close to the commercial street. We could even walk to the Bund. The kids were super excited and thrilled when they saw the room. Breakfast was decent, and the staff was very friendly. They even allowed us to check in early, which was a huge help since we arrived ahead of schedule. Out of the three rooms we booked, one was upgraded for free. Thumbs up! 👍

Stayed here for a business trip after returning from Japan, specifically because it's part of the Okura group. The service, though... I'd say it was non-existent. Every suited man standing in the lobby had an air of superiority, and the female staff at the lobby bar were completely indifferent. No one greeted anyone. The only thing that felt Japanese was the compact room, haha. The breakfast looked like it had variety but wasn't tasty. Maybe this is just Shanghai – whether you pay 8k or 1k, the attitude is the same.

In the cluster of hotels in Shanghai's core area, what truly sets Pullman Shanghai Jing'an apart isn't just its 'convenience,' but its precise balance between 'frequent travel needs' and ' understated luxury and relaxation.' It's like a discerning old friend: never showy, yet always hitting the right note at every critical juncture. The hotel's location is supremely convenient, a 'hub-level' accessibility. It's a 5-10 minute walk to Shanghai Railway Station and a 3-minute connection to the subway. Whether you're catching an early high-speed train or returning after a night out on the Bund, there's no need to rush. Yet, the moment you step into the lobby, the city's hustle and bustle fade away. The understated luxurious decor, paired with vibrant greenery, avoids excessive flair, instead using perfect lighting and a delightful aroma to instantly relax you. The most pleasant surprise is the 'granularity' of the service: the concierge can arrange shipping for forgotten items for guests who have already checked out, and the front desk service is warm and efficient. This unforced attentiveness feels warmer than standardized service. The rooms are an example of 'practical sophistication': floor-to-ceiling windows invite the city skyline in, the bedding is soft yet supportive, and it offers both a full-sized desk for business travelers and connecting room options essential for families. Even the sofa in executive suites can be converted into an extra bed free of charge, revealing a thoughtful consideration for different guest demographics in every detail. The leisure area on the 6th floor is a hidden gem: a 28℃恒温 swimming pool with the Jing'an skyline visible through floor-to-ceiling windows. In the evening, the golden sunset reflects on the water, creating stunning, high-quality photos effortlessly. The 24-hour gym ensures exercise is never a chore. It lacks the gimmicks of 'influencer hotels' but, through a profound understanding of the 'essence of travel and living,' it enables business travelers to be efficient and stress-free, families to be comfortable and at ease, and solo travelers to find a sense of relaxation. In Jing'an, where every inch of land is precious, a hotel that 'understands needs and offers warmth' truly is the premier choice for accommodation.

First time staying at Kempinski hotels. Had imagined to be on a more luxurious hotel. Kempinski The One can improve on their property finishing to make it more feel like staying in luxurious hotels. The room we stayed in had smoke sensors covered in plastic and that should be illegal practice. Apart from that, mirror already had internal stain & walls are chips. Staff on the other hand were welcoming but can also be improvised to make guests feel welcomed and look after as VIP. Staff should proactively approach guests in lobby and ask if there is anything they could assist/not just standing behind desk waiting to be asked.

Who knew?! Choosing the right hotel in Shanghai made my trip even more memorable than the attractions themselves! I stayed at The Blossom House Yu Garden for 2 nights, and from the moment I stepped in until I left, the surprises just kept coming~ ✅As soon as I arrived, a staff member proactively helped with my luggage, and I was greeted with smiles every time I entered or exited. They even discreetly upgraded my room during check-in – my goodwill towards them was instantly maximized! The room was incredibly comfortable, spacious, bright, and full of thoughtful design – a bronze-yellow petal-shaped door, a budding flower elevator door, and even large floral decorations in the room. It felt like living in a flowing floral feast. Fresh fruit was provided daily for both nights of my stay, and the hot water for showers at night was super abundant. Coming back after a long day, it was incredibly therapeutic. 🍃Breakfast was a delightful blend of Chinese and Western cuisine! Freshly cooked scallion oil noodles with braised toppings, authentic Shanghai soup dumplings, and plenty of Western salads, desserts, and coffee. Sitting in the restaurant, I could even gaze at the Bund's 'Three Sisters' (Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, Jin Mao Tower) plus the Oriental Pearl TV Tower from afar. Eating while enjoying the view was just too pleasant. 🪭The most amazing part was the evening! The hotel offered travel photography and intangible cultural heritage handicrafts. I chose the Yu Garden night tour, and the staff patiently explained the humanities and history along the way, which was far more interesting than just wandering around by myself~ The location is superb, too. The Bund, Yu Garden, and Chenghuang Temple are all within walking distance, so there's no need to rush when exploring, eating, and taking photos! 🎉There are many more details worth mentioning〰️ for example, the bathroom cups were clean and sparkling, the in-room fruit was fresh and juicy, and the mini-bar drinks were complimentary.

The hotel room was quite new and large, and the hotel also had free snacks and fruit. The front desk, Xiao Ding and Xiao Deng, served us well, added WeChat and helped upgrade the room, The problem was resolved in a timely manner. Excellent review. We will continue to enjoy it next time we get a chance. It was a very happy experience. Since we are foreigners, we didn't speak the language, but the staff was kind enough to help us with the problem. We stayed for a family of eight, We arrived late, and the girl at the front desk was very enthusiastic to help us with our queries. Most pleasantly, there was a small bar on the 16th floor which was very quiet, with songs and a night view. There was also a lot of Chinese and Western breakfasts. Overall, staying at this hotel will not disappoint.

Great location, very close to the Bund. However, during breakfast, they started clearing everything away right at 10 AM, which felt a bit rushed. The hotel parking lot is huge with spacious spots, which is quite rare in a big city like Shanghai – that's a big plus! Unfortunately, the charging station was out of order for some reason. Overall, it's good value for money and I'd recommend it!

The location is unbeatable. Food, drinks, and entertainment are right downstairs, and it's just out of Exit 3 of Jing'an Temple Metro Station. Luxury stores on Nanjing West Road are only a couple of stops away, and Yuyuan Road offers a quaint, old Shanghai vibe with its plane trees and charming old houses. The hotel itself is nestled between two streets, avoiding the crowds but still capturing the essence of old Shanghai. The residential building in front of it is even the apartment where Eileen Chang wrote 'Love in a Fallen City.' The service is excellent, from the doormen and front desk staff to the housekeeping aunties and restaurant chefs. The breakfast isn't extensive, but it has all the essentials, and it's all healthy food. If you prefer a Western breakfast, they offer more cheese and ham than most hotels. While the facilities are a bit older compared to newly built hotels, it's still highly recommended. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The Grand Central Hotel Shanghai is located next to Nanjing road so it’s very central. The decoration of the hotel looks a bit outdated which lots of golden colors and palm trees in the lobby. Upon my arrival the concierge staff helped to take out my luggage from the car and as we were walking inside he wanted to store my luggage and telling me that check in was at 2pm. I arrived at 12pm. I told him I will go to the reception first and brought my luggage with me. The receptionist checked my booked and said the room isn’t ready and asked me to wait. As I was very tired I asked how long I need to wait and he said until 2pm. I asked if I could perhaps double check at 1 pm and he said ok. I checked again at 1pm and the room wasn’t ready. Finally I got the room at about 1:40. The room size was good and the maintenance of the room was ok although a bit worn out but the decoration looks very outdated and makes the room look more old. Moreover, they had some old brochures in the room which doesn’t really apply to today’s needs such as an old Shanghai yellow pages catalogue etc. Furthermore, there was two bottles of water in the room with tags and on the tag it was clearly stated that only two bottles of water is provided per day per room and additional water bottles will be charged at 10RMB per bottle. I think this makes the hotel seem stingy, supposedly stating that it’s a five star hotel. Haven’t encountered this at hotels with lower star ratings that I stayed at. Another issue was that the HBO channel on the TV didn’t work and that was the only foreign channel on the tv for movies so perhaps international travelers wouldn’t have much to watch. My stay was so so.. the most positive aspect being the central location.

Here's a review of my stay: 🏨 **Room Type:** Imperial Club Deluxe Twin Room **Size:** 64 sq m **Floor:** 9th floor 📆 **Check-in Date:** Saturday, October 25, 2025 (one night) 🌃 **View:** Both the living room and bedroom windows face the Huangpu River. There's a bit of distance, but it offers a strong sense of depth, and you can watch the boats go by. The sunset was absolutely beautiful, with the sky looking like it had been ripped open, revealing a burst of vibrant colors. 🌆 **Surroundings:** Directly across the street is IFC Mall, and next door is Super Brand Mall. Shopping and dining options are incredibly convenient. 💳 **Price:** 2982.24 (includes breakfast for three) 🛏️ **Bedding:** This is what I love most about Shangri-La. My child is 14, and by booking a room with a sofa, you can request a free sofa bed setup. It's much larger than an extra rollaway bed and doesn't cost anything extra. 🚽 **Bathroom:** There's what looks like a bidet next to the toilet, but I didn't know how to use it and didn't dare to try. The bathtub is very long. There are two sinks. The bathroom connects to the walk-in closet on one side and the bedroom on the other. When I first checked in, I kept getting confused and walking into the wrong room, but once I got used to it, it was very convenient. 📖 **Desk:** There are two long desks, one in the living room and one in the bedroom (which seems to be a vanity, but it works). This comfortably accommodates two people working or studying simultaneously, so three people wouldn't feel cramped. 📺 **TV:** There are two TVs. 🏋️ **Gym** 🏊♂️ **Pool:** Available

They were very patient in our requests and assistance. Rubina helped us navigate all the classes and Shilpa helped us change rooms cuz our AC was broken. Gorgeous hotel, and great food. Amazing staff and service, everyone we saw welcomed us with smiles and hand to their heart. The only complaint was the AC didn’t work out first night so it was hot for me. Just finished my stay, and I absolutely *have* to share this immersive experience! ✨ The moment I stepped into the hotel, I was utterly captivated by the tranquil courtyard views. From the floral arrangements to the calligraphy and displays, an elegant ambiance permeates every corner 🍵. You can even experience scripture copying, calming your mind with ink and brush – a truly unique cultural charm that, if you know, you know! The garden view outside the window is breathtakingly beautiful, making your heart flutter. Sipping tea and enjoying the scenery, it's truly the epitome of slow living 🍃. The room features an extra-large bathtub perfect for a relaxing soak, and they even provide two different kinds of bath products. The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

I used to stay in high-star hotels, but in recent years I have booked homestays when I come to Disneyland. I have a better understanding of the overall situation of the surrounding homestays. The bosses are all people who love life, the staff are relatively enthusiastic, and the room types are relatively unique, but the circle of time still gave us a surprise: 1. The staff's night shift is really ”night”. We arrived late, and they were still waiting for us at midnight. For several days, we left WeChat messages at one or two in the morning. They were surprised and answered questions as they came. On the first day, Shanghai was only more than ten degrees. If we wanted a quilt, we gave it to them. If we wanted to turn on the air conditioner for heating, we turned on the air conditioner. We also told us that if we needed to order takeout, the staff would wait... When the weather changed, they should have helped us collect the clothes that were hung out to dry (when we returned to the room at night, the clothes were returned to the room from the balcony, thank you 🙏) 2. Very friendly to children and pets. We brought many children with us (other guests also brought pets), and we were often afraid of disturbing others when traveling, but here we can let them go completely, safe, practical, and natural (only parents who travel with children carefully can understand this feeling) 3. The environment is very good, with an independent small courtyard, an independent restaurant, a book bar, lawn, swimming pool, small animals, etc. open 24 hours a day in the courtyard. The surrounding area is also very quiet. The boss also thoughtfully arranged a moonlit night barbecue and fireworks for children. The barbecue skewers are great! 4. Breakfast is already very rich in B&Bs, with porridge, corn, sweet potatoes, milk, buns, eggs, fruits, pickles, calculated by person, and you can add more if you need it; If you want to be picky, of course there are some small problems that B&Bs may have, such as some small facilities such as hangers are a bit loose, and idle furnishings cannot be bright and new all the time. Guests who choose B&Bs cannot be evaluated by the standards of five-star hotels. Finally, I want to say that I chatted with the staff in my spare time and learned that they have a small number of people and a high work intensity, working day and night shifts (in fact, there are many conscientious people in every industry), and they really love the B&B business! If you have the passion to do a job, you may be able to do what others cannot do in a short time; but if you love a job and do it, what kind of work status can you achieve over a long period of time? You can only feel it if you come here.

I've stayed at the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao multiple times, and I truly love this hotel in Lujiazui! Even though it's an older hotel that's been open for many years, the rooms are exceptionally well-maintained and preserved; you can't see any signs of aging! The room amenities are comprehensive, and both the bedding and toiletries are excellent. The bath products are Balmain, which are really good! This time, Ivy, the guest experience ambassador at Jin Mao, proactively contacted me before my check-in to ask about my preferences and even upgraded me to a Club River View room. I'm so grateful for her thoughtful and meticulous service! The room directly faces the Lujiazui Financial Center, and with the river view, you can clearly see the Oriental Pearl Tower. Both the night view and the daytime scenery are absolutely stunning! The Executive Lounge's afternoon tea starts at noon, and while the selection isn't huge, the evening Happy Hour is truly fantastic. The food is abundant and delicious, and it lasts a long time, from 5 PM to 8 PM! I absolutely adore the hotel's breakfast buffet. Although I missed it on my first day back in China due to jet lag, on the second day, I spent a full two hours savoring the lavish breakfast! The breakfast is divided into Chinese and Western sections. Personally, I think the Western section has a better view as it faces the river and the Oriental Pearl Tower directly, but both Chinese and Western dishes are incredibly plentiful and taste great. The breakfast on the 56th floor was so good that I didn't even bother to check out the breakfast at the Club Lounge! The hotel's location is superb; not only is it in the heart of Lujiazui, but the subway station is also right on the B1 level. It's also very convenient to take a taxi to various attractions and shopping malls in Puxi! A special thank you to the concierge department this time. My suitcase broke during my last stay at Jin Mao a week ago, forcing me to buy a new one at a mall on Nanjing Road. Since I was rushing to go abroad at the time, I had to leave my old suitcase with the concierge. I only picked it up again from the concierge a week later after returning from my trip abroad. I'm truly grateful to the concierge staff! Both this stay and my previous one, the hotel was fully booked, and almost all the guests were foreigners, with very few domestic tourists. Yet, even with such tight room availability, the hotel still reserved my preferred room type for me, which I truly appreciate! Overall, I highly recommend staying at Grand Hyatt Jin Mao! The location is super convenient, making it easy to get anywhere. The rooms are clean, tidy, and refreshing, and the beautiful views are incredibly therapeutic. It's perfect for both relaxation and enjoying the scenery!

The staff may not smile a lot but they were very helpful and professional. Front desk was easily contactable over WeChat. I had some issues with the delivery companies regarding my delivery parcels but the staff helped and ensured that I received them. They also reached out and checked with me if the shoes that I left behind during checkout was intentional or accidental. 10/10 will book again

I didn't take many photos; all the beautiful impressions are in my mind. The facilities and services, naturally, were excellent. The room was exquisite, and the breakfast was rich and delicious. The service at the Dragon and Phoenix restaurant was also top-notch! But I'd like to highlight something different. Many of the hotel's waiters and supervisors were middle-aged men. They were meticulous, thoughtful, and carried themselves with a dignified professionalism, steering clear of the 'young and trendy' vibe so common nowadays. This made me feel incredibly welcomed and comfortable! Who says every industry must only hire people under 35? Middle-aged and older individuals are often the most stable and reliable, truly in their prime! The world has suffered from age anxiety for too long! I hope the hotel continues to maintain this approach, employing capable middle-aged and older staff without rigid age restrictions!

Checked in on a Saturday, so there were quite a few guests. Had to wait a bit but check-in was surprisingly fast. Lots of foreigners around. Booked through Trip.com and got a complimentary happy hour from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. Free-flow drinks with some cashews and mini cakes – not a huge variety, but the taste was decent. The hallways are a bit narrow and had a damp smell. Entering the room, you're greeted by a fully open-plan cave-style bathroom with a glowing bathtub – quite a sight! Hangers and slippers were in the cabinet next to the bed. No vanity table. The hairdryer wasn't a Dyson, and there was no speaker. There's an iPad to control the smart home features, an 'old iPad given a new lease on life' kind of deal. It was a bit slow to respond and had some translation issues (e.g., 'reading right' instead of 'right reading light'). There's a red light above the bed. If some hotels are overtly flamboyant, this one is subtly so. The room had a large round table, which was a bit amusing. The gym and pool are both on B1 and are relatively small. The cardio area is quite spacious. For beginners, the weightlifting equipment isn't very friendly, and there aren't many fixed machines. Breakfast is served until 11 AM and is very Shanghai-style: pan-fried dumplings, curry beef vermicelli, soup dumplings, congee, rice balls, etc. Everything you could want. The quality and taste are both excellent. Overall, it's pretty good. The Xintiandi area nearby is also great for strolling. It would be even better if they could upgrade the weightlifting equipment in the gym.

We absolutely loved our stay at the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland. The rooms were modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with a stunning view that made every moment feel special. The entire property is incredibly scenic, from the sunlit quarry walls to the peaceful water features, it’s unlike any other hotel experience. The night light show was a wonderful bonus and added a magical touch to the atmosphere. Although the hotel is located quite far from the city and major attractions, the tranquility and unique environment made it worth the distance. It’s a perfect place to unwind, relax, and enjoy something extraordinary. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and one-of-a-kind getaway! 🌟

Staying at the Hyatt on the Bund was the smartest decision we made during our trip to Shanghai! The hotel is right next to the Bund, just a few minutes' walk to the observation deck. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in our room were a true gem – by day, you could watch cargo ships traversing the Huangpu River with the Lujiazui 'three-piece suit' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers) clearly visible; by night, the Bund's historic buildings lit up, creating a breathtaking river view that was impossible to tear your eyes away from. The breakfast was another delightful surprise. The buffet at Aroma, located on the 2nd floor, offered such a rich variety that it was hard to choose: freshly made omelets, delicious sushi, soft pastries, fresh fruits, and a wide array of beverages – it catered to every taste. What truly stood out was the heartwarming service, especially from Lorna and Anna, who deserve special recognition! When Lorna learned we wanted a higher-floor room, she quickly arranged it despite the hotel being almost fully booked. She not only prepared our room in advance but also answered all our questions efficiently and promptly. From the views to the dining and the service, everything was impeccable. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Shanghai!

This was my first stay at J Hotel Shanghai Tower, the highest hotel in China. It's not just a hotel; it's an incredibly artistic cloud-level experience. It truly stands out from other hotels and definitely impressed me. They offer one-on-one private butler service, and I especially want to mention Butler Jocelyn, whose service was excellent. Standard check-in is at 3 PM, but the hotel quickly prepared our room, allowing us to check in early, which was fantastic. The toiletries in the room were exceptionally good, and the mini-bar had so many drinks we couldn't finish them all. They even gave us postcards at check-out. Overall, it was a great experience!

The North Bund Area Shanghai|3km from downtown
This was my first stay at the W Hotel, and in my opinion, the night view from W Shanghai – The Bund is unparalleled – truly the best you can get for a view of the Bund, bar none. The rooms here boast a unique, massive curved floor-to-ceiling window. The trendy, nightclub-like vibe is also signature to the W, making it feel much younger and more vibrant compared to other hotels, definitely appealing more to a younger crowd. The hotel features three distinct bars, and I highly recommend the breakfast – it's genuinely excellent, with a wide variety of cuisines available. I booked a Wonderful King Room, and rooms ending in '10' generally offer the most prime views. Plus, I received a 500 RMB voucher for the YEN Chinese Restaurant and another 500 RMB voucher for the spa. They even offered a late checkout until 2 PM, which made it an incredibly good deal. The W Hotel has certainly won over many young people with its prime scenic views and fashionable decor!

I stayed here for one night. I came here after leaving another hotel that wasn't good. I'm so glad that I came here instead. I really got such a good night's sleep. One of the hotel staff, Ekko, was extra helpful in answering my questions in English, allowing me to stay longer in the lobby while I waited for my friend and even offered me a bottle of water. He was very welcoming! The the bed is so comfortable and soft and the hotel is very clean. And the breakfast is also delicious. You also have a vending machine on the first floor that takes digital payment and a mini refrigerator in your room. There's also a smart TV with HDMI and screen mirroring. It's great value for money and it's also just a really comfortable place to stay. The interior design is really beautiful and eclectic. I think you'll have fun just hanging out in the lobby, good music playing, for a couple hours doing some work at one of the many sitting areas in the lobby, if you're a digital nomad like me. Really nice vibe!

One of the staff specially took us to explore the different types of room so we can decide which room type to take which we really appreciate!! The location is so accessible!!We can reach the main tourist attractions like Xintiandi, Yuyuan and Nanjing road within 10 mins by their cab Didi and costs less than USD$3 only and the pick up and drop off point is just in front of the hotel which is so easy for us!!They even offer free popcorn and drinks and amenities like travel sunblock cream, soap, floss, body cream throughout our stay!!All of the staff were exceptionally warm, attentive, and professional — always greeting us with genuine smiles and going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable such as helping us to book ******* delivery and helping us to collect our taobao parcels. Our room was spotless clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully prepared such as the toilet seat with a warm function. Every detail, from the amenities to the housekeeping, reflected the hotel’s high standards and care for guests. Special mention to the front desk team— their friendliness and helpful recommendations truly made our stay even more enjoyable.
