Hotels in Beppu

"Location of the hotel is great. I came from Hiroshima. The journey is very long. I stayed 3 nights here. Breakfast was kinda okay, they have alot of spread. I paid for 1 x breakfast at 3300 yen. Personally i feel the price can be lower. Afew items to highlights were Tempura prawn, mentaiko, corn soup, soba and grilled beef. They have welcome drink (tea/coffee/soft drinks) for certain hours. Topup 1000 yen you can get unlimited alcohol. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the station. And also they have 2 properties . Next to each other. There’s 6 laudry machines. A sky pool, sauna and indoor bath (onsen). I can see the hotel emphasis/uses alot of technology . Your door card can be paid for many things (laundry and vending machine) including partner restaurants outside the hotels. Where you can charge the expenses to your room. There’s a touch pad in the room, for you go control lighting, air conditioning , check hotel information and even control the TV. The only downside is the touchpad is very bright. It takes too long for it to go into idle mode. The cast and mirroring was lagging for me. As for the wifi, i find it weird that it only allows in my room. I had not as for the hotel wide wifi, not sure if there’s one. The room wifi was okay. The pool on the roof was great . You can see almost the whole beppu. Sadly I did not take photos of it. It was very chill . I would definitely stay here again just for the pool and onsen. The room clothes hangers were kinda little. There’s only 4 of them. The ice machine is at L2 inbetween the fitness center and the laundry. I would like to suggest to relocate it. As it is located directly next to the smoking room. And both times I am there to collect the ice with the cup provided, I almost out of breath from the cigarette. The Washing machine had locking mechanism on it, so other guests would not take your clothes. Select checkout was brilliant, they have 2 counters for it. I ate a breakfast, did 2 laundry and one vending machine. It was calculated perfectly. The staff at the reception were very helpful . Overall the stay was good! Will stay again if I am in Beppu. Thank you ."

"Quite new hotel in a great location next to the train station! But unfortunately due to proximity to the train station, can hear some train noises overnight. The 7 private baths are super nice and both dinner and breakfast are also fantastic. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They even offer free ramen at night. Typical Dormy inn service, good as always."

"Not far from Beppu JR Station, about a 10-minute walk with luggage from the right-hand exit of the JR station. The hotel room isn't very big. There's a hot spring sauna with three pools plus a cold plunge pool. On the first floor, you can pick up yukatas and toiletries. The elevator is tiny. There are smoking rooms on both the first and sixth floors. There's a shopping mall and many Lawson convenience stores nearby, making it quite convenient for getting around."

"Had a clean and efficient service experience. Don’t miss the chance to visit the onsen during sunrise and sunset—the simply breathtaking scenery enhances my relaxation. Although the layout of the room is rather inconvenient, it's generally clean but a little aged. Best recommend to take the seaview for sunrise or sunset from your bathroom ."

"A truly perfect experience, highly recommended! Extremely high value for money!!! The dinner selection was so extensive, we couldn't possibly finish it all. The service was also excellent! The private onsen (hot spring bath) was a bit small, with each session lasting 50 minutes. Reservations weren't possible, but you could simply tell the front desk if you wanted to go and it would be available anytime. The large public bath was also great, with an open-air onsen. We booked an ocean-view room, which offered direct views of Beppu Bay's sunrise and sunset. In short, a hot spring inn I would definitely want to return to!"

"I chose this seaside hotel to enjoy the sunrise and sunset while soaking in the hot spring. The two meals included were decent, and the seafood was fresh. The mentaiko for breakfast was a local specialty. The room was spacious, with a separate wet and dry area, and the balcony was fantastic – facing the ocean, perfect for drying clothes... haha. I didn't book a private onsen because it wasn't crowded at all; every time I went, I had the place to myself. Soaking in the onsen while watching the sunrise was truly amazing! 😎 It's a 10-minute walk from the JR station to the hotel. Right across the first road from the hotel entrance, there's a large shopping mall with a supermarket, Muji, Starbucks, and everything you could need. However, most seaside hotels tend to be older. This one has been renovated and feels quite new. You have to lay out your own futon on the tatami mat (mine was a mess!), so for elderly guests with mobility issues, I'd recommend a standard bed. 🛌"

"The sunrise view from room was fantastic. Enjoyed the stay and hotel provides complimentary liquor and beer at the lounge. There were many guests but staff was efficient on checking in."

"Stayed with my family (mom + two kids), a total of three of us. We booked a slightly more expensive room than the cheapest one (a Japanese-Western mixed room, I think?). If you have kids, this room is great! The beds are lower than in other rooms, and the room itself is bigger. I noted the children's ages when I booked, and they even had shoes and outfits prepared accordingly, which was a nice touch!"
