Grand Verde Resort

Highly recommended! It's a bit far from the city center, but you get to enjoy beautiful natural scenery, soak in open-air hot springs, and have a BBQ – it's a one-stop experience! The only downside was the bad weather that day. I'll definitely come back again!

An excellent experience! The beautiful environment offers stunning sunset and stargazing views, making it perfect for large families. Although it's a bit far out, the resort facilities provide everything you need, and there's enough to do on-site to keep you occupied all day. The included breakfast and dinner were plentiful, and the location is conveniently close to Kyushu Zoo and Yufuin, so you can easily add them to your itinerary.

The environment is quite good, but there are too many ants and insects. I recommend bringing mosquito repellent beforehand. The room service staff were very nice and proactive; even though we couldn't communicate perfectly, they tried very hard to understand. However, the male receptionist at the front desk was grumpy and had a terrible attitude the entire time. I booked for four people, and he immediately asked why it wasn't two, then charged me for the two extra children without any explanation. I understand that hotels in Japan charge per person, and I get that, but his glare made me feel like I had committed a crime. I really couldn't stand it. I arrived feeling so happy, only for him to ruin it.
