It really made my day and I am already planning to go back! We used the spa and had a nice luxury treatment as well. The staff were very accommodating and managed to book us in and the laundry service was also very speedy. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it."

"This was by far the worst “five-star” hotel I’ve ever stayed in. On arrival, my room was dirty, the bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied, and the toilet was unhygienic. The food was extremely poor, with some dishes looking reheated from previous days and birds flying around the buffet area. Choices were very limited, and since I was travelling with someone with allergies, we often had to eat out or order in to avoid going hungry. There was no complimentary water, and the WiFi barely worked in the rooms or around the hotel. Even the sun loungers and communal areas were dirty. Nothing about this place reflects five-star standards — it felt more like a neglected budget hotel. Overall, a huge disappointment and not worth the money. 0/10."

"Very beautiful hotel, good service level. Notwithstanding the level is not exactly at a 5 stars level. The room was at a very high level but the bathroom more like a 3 stars then 5. Then the worst part was the SPA, I never saw a 5 stars SPA without sauna or hammam. The hammam was intact "busy", I don't even know how possible to present a SPA with an hammam not available for everybody. At the end there was just a pretty pool, with an extreme quantity of chlore (impossible stay more then 10 minuts) and with walls ruined by humidity and mushrooms. I strongly unsuggest this hotel if the SPA is part of your needs"

"It’s a beautiful designed hotel, well located in a nice area with shops and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and clean. Friendly staff, great swimming pools and beautiful gardens. Only con was check in. When a arrived in my jogging outfit and tired, no one of the staff offered to help me with my luggage. I guess because I wasn’t looking fancy, but that shouldn’t matter since I’m still a customer. Also at the check-in there were 4 staff members and one helping the clients in the queue. After 15 minutes one of the staff members asked the others to help the clients waiting for the checkin, this must be improved. But it didn’t effect my stay. I stayed a week with my daughter and we had a really nice stay."

Our stay included a delicious breakfast that we could eat on the rooftop terrace or the courtyard. Farid was so helpful with recommendations of places to visit or any particular questions we had. Farid and Jamal were so lovely they made our visit extra special!"

"Good location but next to impossible to locate down a dark laneway off a darker trash covered alleyway (that's daytime) Cramped room with a mouldy bathroom ceiling. Intermittent power, cutting out completely and restarting repeatedly. Tiny roof top pool, don't let the photos fool you. While it seems fairly priced on comparison sites your money would be better spent. It appears clean until you look up. The bathroom ceiling recently had the mould wiped off but not so recently that it wasn't making a strong come back."

"Riad Jil & Spa is a beautiful and welcoming place in an excellent location. Next to one of the medina gates, it gives you easy access to both the souks and taxis outside the medina. Right outside, there is a local fruit market every day. It felt like a raw and authentic part of Marrakech life. The prices were fair, nobody tried to overcharge us, and every dirham spent there felt like it was going to hardworking, honest people. The service at the riad was exceptional: professional, warm, attentive and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The riad itself is charming and relaxing, with tasteful decoration, real plants and a lovely, cosy patio with a swimming pool. Every detail creates a peaceful, comfortable and intimate atmosphere. If you are visiting Marrakech for the first time, you could not find a better place to stay."

"Le Farnatchi was a refined and elegant escape from the Medina. Our arrival was marked by mint tea and cookies and quickly followed by cocktails delivered to the room. Our suite—number 8?—was huge and well appointed. We dined at Le Trou au Mur once and had food delivered from there for two other delightful meals, including one where they kindly set up lunch under the orange trees in the magical back courtyard. Kudos especially to the kind lady night manager who enthusiastically looked after us. My wife said her massage was top shelf. It is easy to see why Daniel Craig, Angelina Jolie and others selected Le Farnatchi for their stays."

"FRAUDULENT. Stole my money and lied to American Express. DO NOT BOOK HERE. We booked a room directly with the hotel in order to attend a wedding. Following a dispute between the hotel and the groom, the wedding was cancelled. We then received an email from the hotel stating that our room payments had been applied to settle the groom’s outstanding debt under his contract with them. As a result, we now have flights to Marrakech in two days but no accommodation. This is an unacceptable way to treat guests. A customer who books directly with a hotel should never be held financially responsible for a third party’s contractual obligations. We did not pay the groom, nor did he book on our behalf—we made our reservation with the hotel directly. While we understand that cancellations made by us might result in forfeited funds, diverting our payment to cover someone else’s debt is completely inappropriate."
