Amazing
GGuest UserAs very seasoned travelers, my family and I enjoy exploring the most amazing resorts and hotels around the world, which we look at with a very discriminating eye. For the Oberoi Marrakesh, it is truly difficult to find fault. The hotel, relatively new, is simply stunning with the impressive lobby and villas, as well as expansive gardens with 2700 olive trees. The acting General Manager Mamdouh is the perfect and consummate hotelier, ever present checking everything non-stop, to ensure the guest experience is nothing less than 5-stars. Jalal from their F&B outlet surprised us with an entire loaf of lemon cake to take back to London that was not available on two breakfasts which we sore missed after our first breakfast. El Habib is an amazing server ready to grant you at least three wishes with his magic lamp! Khalid the Duty Manager also asks non-stop how they can improve a service that is already par excellence. Our hats off to the amazing pastry chef who makes baked goods that rival the best Parisian patisserie. I saw the two staff who cleaned every machine in the fitness center using four sprays leaving neither dust nor germ —- they focus on the minutest detail. The whole team is just extremely well-trained and professional and very committed in their desire to exceed your expectations. The synchronization of their efforts, in the most natural and sincere manner, always with big smiles, translates to nothing less than less than a truly memorable experience. They know how to make you feel like Arab royalty! We will certainly be back!!! Thank you so much to all of you!!! Shukran! If you want that “palace in the middle of the oasis experience” in Marrakesh, you will not get it any better than at the Oberoi!

GGuest UserThis is a very worthwhile hotel. It can be said to be the highlight of the entire trip to Morocco. Each room is an independent Riad courtyard. The service is friendly but not overly enthusiastic. Except for the average food, the environment can be said to be impeccable. Marrakech is actually quite dirty and messy as a whole. The inside and outside of the hotel can be said to be two different worlds. If I come to Marrakech next time, I will still consider staying here!

NNatasha Audina SI love the ambience, the decor and above all, the service that this riad has given from the moment we arrived until we checked out. The staff member that greeted us was very helpful and informative, and there were two night shift members who were incredibly helpful arranging our early breakfast (because we had to leave super early) and accompanied us to show the safest way to the square at the crack of the dawn. Even when we got lost on our way to the riad, the staff member also picked us up and helped us with our belongings. I would definitely recommend this riad to friends or family who want to make a trip to Morocco, especially Marrakech!

MMötley NüFCFirst off, the location was great, a lot of choice for breakfast, nice swimming pool and big/clean room. Most of the staff were actually very helpful, just the last night left a sour taste in my mouth. I would highly recommend this hotel, but believe some staff should know better what other parts of the hotel were doing and how to speak to guests. Technically, a solo traveller, but my friend was staying in another room. Every day we were given 1 large complementary bottle or water and 2 small bottles. However, on the final night, my friend received, but I didn’t. This was fine and I just politely mentioned it to reception. Bearing in mind there’s not many local shops to get water from, I was glad when I was told this would be rectified. 1 tiny bottle was left in my room, so I rang reception to explain, this is where things got a bit rude and I was surprised at having to ‘fight’ for a bottle of water - especially because this isn’t a cheap hotel. I was redirected to room service, who tried to charge me and then said it’s a housekeeping issue. Then spoke to reception again and then basically called me a liar when I said that I’d had free complimentary water every day. The lack of water didn’t really bother me, it was that I was sent around in circles and then rudely told I was wrong, even when I pointed out that I’d received water 3-days in a row. After about an hour trying, and very very thirsty, housekeeping - who were very friendly btw - dropped off 4 small bottles of water. If it were a housekeeping issue, I could’ve been told this from the start and there wouldn’t have been an issue. All that being said, I actually really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and in Marrakech itself.

GGuest UserAmaizing gem of a place. Profesional but friendly staff at every corner. The breakfast staff could not do enough for us and so were the reception staff, all of them were so attentive and friendly. The room cleaners left the bedroom spotless everyday. We had a Hammam massage to die for. The two masseurs were so good, that I have to give them 10 out of 10. I had a good few massages in my life, but NEVER one that can equal the one we had the other day. The Facials were 10 out of ten. Nothing absolutely nothing we can find fault with, the only thing I'm disappointed with is myself, as I can only remember the name of one member of staff Abderrahim the night receptionist, but they were many others both female and male that took so much pride in their job. We will definitely be back to definitely have another Hamman . Best hotel by far in the last 5 years. I'm sorry I cannot post more photos.

GGuest UserPlace is nice and clean, staff was also very helpful. However, do note that the address is not the actual address of the riad. I am travelling alone, and only booked this riad because it was right beside where my friends are staying. I only found out when I arrive that it is a 4-5mins walk from the actual address stated on trip.com. Which was very misleading and they should update the correct address. Kudos to the staff who was very nice to walk me out many times, as I prefer to have someone walk me in the early mornings, and at night. Provided water, and also very helpful and friendly. Another issue I had was that I arranged an airport transport to pick me from the airport, and was told the driver will be carrying the hotel sign with my name. I could not find the driver and panicked, again because I was travelling alone. I had to call the riad to realise that the driver was not carrying the correct sign, but another name similar to Riad Dar Massai, and did not have my name on it. Which was honestly impossible for me to recognise which is my driver. The sign should be made clear to guest first time in Marrakesh to just show ”RIAD DAR MASSAI + name of guest”. Finally, the aircon was great, but blankets were really thin. I know they provided extra blankets but I did not use it. So I am very cold at night. Apart from the few drawbacks, it is overall a beautifully designed Riad, I actually really loved the interior architecture, and the rooms are clean and spacious, showers are hot and nice.

LLesiea NadiaA beautiful little riad just a short walk from the main square and local amenities. Initially, not so easy to locate, but Google maps took us straight to the door. The riad is located by walking through an area in which locals inhabit and therefore fresh meat and fish is being prepared and sold. This can be a somewhat novel experience and definitely a glimpse into local culture. Once you are familiar with the walk in and out, this is just part of the day and good to see how others live. The property itself is immaculate and provides excellent services. We were warmly welcomed and given refreshments which were gratefully received. Our room (room 1) although small, was comfortable, clean and had everything what was needed. The bathroom has plenty of surface space to house toiletries etc. The room is situated off the central patio and as it only had shutters (no glass in the windows) this can leave you a little exposed to noise from the reception/breakfast area and rooms surrounding. It would have been great to have access to tea/coffee making provisions as we usually like to make a drink before sleeping. I am sure the host would have been amenable should we have, but we did not. The courtyard is quite cold first thing in the morning and so prepare accordingly. The roof terrace is pleasant and has views across the local area. The courtyard area hosts a plentiful Moroccan breakfast, fabulously presented and tasty. Even as a ‘picky eater’ I was pleasantly satisfied. Breakfast is a selection of Moroccan style breads/crepes accompanied by local jams/soft cheese and honey. A serving of prepared fruits was served daily with a different offering of boiled egg/fresh yoghurt/ cake severed on the days of our visit. Should you have any specific dietary needs I am sure the host would accommodate, however it is worth noting that breakfast is served to you and therefore choice and quantity is not possible. We found the breakfast plentiful and the owner very accommodating. Breakfast was served with freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh coffee or mint tea. The host was super accommodating and helped us to print boarding passes (needed at Marrakesh airport) prior to our departure. We walked to and from the airport as the weather was pleasant and a little over an hour to do. The walk to the main square was around 10-15 minutes and pleasant enough as well. I would recommend this riad and could clearly see how hard the owners are working to accommodate their guests and provide an authentic experience.

GGuest UserStayed at Riad Mama for 5 days and 4 nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. The riad itself is beautiful and tastefully decorated, but what truly made the stay exceptional were the people and their outstanding service. Dunya went above and beyond, helping me with my large luggage to the lobby and keeping my room spotless at all times. Farid prepared Moroccan tea for me on my first night on the rooftop and generously shared great restaurant recommendations. Nour, the director, and her sister greeted me with warm smiles every time they saw me and provided truly fantastic service. They offered warm, genuine hospitality and consistently went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. I genuinely felt like a welcomed guest rather than a tourist. When I unfortunately had food poisoning on my second day and didn’t leave my room at all, they noticed and checked on me to make sure I was okay. That level of care meant so much to me. Lastly, the riad itself is literally just 2–4 minutes away from Jemaa el-Fnaa and the Medina, which made getting around incredibly easy. I would definitely come back again without hesitation. Thank you Riad Mama! I can’t recommend Riad Mama enough this is hospitality at its finest. The rooftop view facing Koutoubia mosque.
