Riad Houdou

Had a wonderful stay at the Riad. I kept emailing the Riad for information/assistance and every email was replied within the hour. Check in was superb with information to the souk explained clearly with mint tea and snacks offered. Room was clean and tastefully decorated. It was a great feeling to be back within minutes after exploring the souk. My only personal concern was that the bathing area and the WC are separated....the WC area is a bit cramped for me. Overall, I will definitely book the Riad if I'm back in Marrakech Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Riad Houdou.

The staff here is incredibly helpful and friendly, and dinner was one of the best meals we had during our entire trip to Morocco. However, the facilities and setting left room for improvement. We stayed in the "Black Room," which didn’t offer enough space to get in and out of bed on either side. The shower had weak water pressure and inconsistent temperature and flow. The toilet was in a very small room, and the toilet paper holder was positioned so awkwardly that it was hard to move freely to sit down. The room also lacked a TV and a fridge. A suggestion to the owner: consider placing a smaller bed in this room to improve comfort.

Riad Houdou is in the heart of the Medina yet it is quite and it is like entering an oasis. Eric and Didier were wonderful hosts and provided everything we needed. Hassan and all staff were great and accommodating provided tips on where to go and eat. We are returning we loved it so much.

My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights and can’t recommend it highly enough. The staff are fabulous, friendly authentic welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious and we had dinner twice which was incredible value, with wonderful attentive service and delicious food. Great location and we will certainly return. Very beautiful riad in the middle of Medina. Lovely decoration and architecture inside, absolutely quiet. Great staff which takes time to provide with all information you need. Breakfast served at table, Mountain View from terrace, pool, and much more. We would come again.

We first visited in 2020 and had high expectations for our return visit and were not disappointed. The riad is well placed for visits to the medina, souks, and all attractions in Marrakech, but once you step through the front door the bustle of the city is left behind. Didier and Eric are wonderful hosts, and they work with a fabulous team of staff to provide a beautiful and relaxing riad experience. They provide plenty of useful information on how to explore the city safely and with ease, and are always available to answer any questions. Special mention to the chef who delighted us each morning with beautiful freshly made food and the very best scrambled eggs ever! Would definitely recommend choosing Riad Houdou.

Everyone at the Riad was so kind. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, well fed, and got to do all of the things we wanted to do. As two young women travelers, they helped us get to and from the airport safely and gave thorough advice on how to navigate Marrakech. I could not recommend this Riad enough. It was also clean and beautiful.

Riad Houdou is one of the best places I have stayed. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and you can tell they are all like a family. The Riad itself was beautiful and a great location for walking around the Medina. The breakfast and dinner was delicious and the Riad’s Hammam experience was really cool. I highly recommend Riad Houdou.

Excellent experience from beginning to end. All members of the staff provided us with attentive service at all times. The Riad is comfortable and nicely decorated, you can tell it reflects the owners’ personality. Cleanliness was excellent. The Riad is a cool, quiet oasis that we were happy to return to each time after visiting the Medina.
