It was easy to get a taxi or ride an electric scooter to Kunming Old Street and Cuihu Park, both of which are quite close. The room was also clean, tidy, and hygienic. It had a refrigerator and an air purifier, and they even gave us complimentary fresh flower petal pastries for afternoon tea and a fruit platter. The only minor downsides were that the bathroom wasn't very waterproof, so water tended to leak out when showering, and the soundproofing wasn't great."

"I passed through Kunming on a short business trip and stayed at Jiuxi Huaji Hotel (Kunming Old Street Nanping Street Branch). The hotel is in a prime location, just a few steps away from Wuyi Road Metro Station, the Old Street Business District is also nearby, and the Yunnan Impression Theater is right next to it, making it convenient for watching performances. "I rarely leave reviews on Trip.com, but Kunming Haitian Hotel truly deserves a detailed one! **Location:** The hotel is located right in the heart of Kunming, at the intersection of Tuodong Road and Beijing Road, near Tangzixiang Metro Station exits E and F (Lines 2 and 6). Exit E is just a short turn downstairs from the hotel, and Exit F is directly across the street. Whether by metro, taxi, or bus, getting around is incredibly convenient. Wujing Road, right next to the hotel, is a residential area with a variety of eateries and a small market. The strawberries and blueberries there were delicious and even better value than those at Donghua. There's also a great restaurant called 'Metro Exit Restaurant' near Exit F, serving good food – we ate there several times. The hotel is opposite the Kunming Public Security Bureau and behind either a police station or traffic police brigade, giving you a strong sense of security! **Environment:** The lobby is elegant and grand, offering complimentary hot tea and water, and even has a designated indoor smoking area. The festive New Year's decorations were lovely, with horse-themed mini-games and DIY craft activities in the lobby, which were a big hit with the kids staying at the hotel. My daughter basically wanted to stay in the lobby doing crafts every day and didn't want to go back to the room. The hotel also has a laundry room and a gym, both accessible with your room card. Drinking water is provided in both areas, and the gym even has clean towels – a very thoughtful touch. **Cleanliness:** We booked a family twin room, which was spotless and tidy. The two 1.3-meter beds, pushed together, were perfectly spacious for two adults and two children. The bedding felt clean and fresh. The bathroom was family-friendly; the sink and toilet heights were just right for kids, and the faucet had a cute pink elephant attachment that prevented splashes. While the bathroom size was a bit compact, it was impeccably clean. **Service:** Ex! Ce! Llent! The moment we stepped into the hotel, a young man quickly came forward to help us with our luggage. While checking in, a friendly young lady offered us hot tea. A special thank you to the Assistant Lobby Manager, who proactively helped us coordinate shuttle bus seats to Haigeng when our itinerary unexpectedly changed! Thanks to Mr. Kuang Hao, who promptly found an extension cord and brought it to our room, accompanied the children doing crafts every day, carefully looked after them, and politely declined my sincere New Year's red packet. My daughter specifically told me to give him a five-star review! And thanks to the driver who took us to Haigeng on the morning of the 21st – he enthusiastically recommended many routes to us; he was so warm and friendly. Thank you to every staff member we encountered during our six-day stay; each interaction was met with a smile, polite treatment, and a willingness to help with anything we needed. This trip to Kunming was enjoyable and unforgettable, partly because we chose Haitian Hotel. Back to work tomorrow, but we'll try to see you again this summer!!"

"Great location! It's very close to the hospital, which was perfect for me as I needed to be nearby to care for a relative having surgery. I specifically chose this place, and I'm very satisfied with the room they assigned me. The bedding is comfortable, and the smart assistant in the room was a nice convenience. Breakfast was standard, nothing special, but they did have rice noodles, which Kunming locals love. The hotel also has self-service laundry machines, which is quite handy. The soundproofing in the room is decent too; there wasn't much noise, so I slept comfortably. I've been here two nights and keep extending my stay. A big thank you to ”Blue Bellflower” at the front desk for all her help during my stay, from collecting my food deliveries to arranging my room – thank you! I'd recommend this place to first-time visitors to Kunming, especially if you need to be near Daguan Pavilion. It's a good choice!"

"The biggest surprise of my trip to Kunming on March 3rd was this accommodation! The front desk staff provided exceptional service; they'd pick us up and drop us off at the hotel whenever we notified them in advance. We received welcome fruits upon entering the room, and breakfast offered a great variety including Chinese, Western, and kids' options, all generously portioned and well-balanced! You can really feel they put a lot of effort into running this place. Breakfast was unexpectedly delicious, and kids' breakfasts were complimentary. They even offer laundry and drying services, which I loved! There's always coffee available at the front desk on the first floor. During our stay, I also borrowed plates, nail clippers, and an iron – they were always happy to help. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean, with a fresh and modern style. It's truly great value for money, and traveling with kids, finding a hotel like this made for an excellent experience! This is genuinely one of the most satisfying hotel stays I've had in years!"

"This time I went to Kunming and stayed in a hotel near the Haigeng Dam. The experience was quite good. The hotel is very close to the Haigeng Dam and can be reached on foot in a short time. On the dam, you can see flocks of red-billed gulls circling over Dianchi Lake. It is really interesting to buy a bag of gull food to feed them and watch them take away the bread agilely. The Bougainvillea Waterfall next to the Haigeng Dam also left a deep impression on me. The lush bougainvillea hangs down from a height, with bright colors and dense flowers. It is particularly beautiful to take pictures. I couldn't help but stop and admire it for a long time when I passed by. Back to the hotel, the overall environment is quiet and pleasant. The room is clean and tidy, the layout is simple and generous, and all kinds of facilities are very complete, especially the bed is moderately soft and hard, and I have a good rest at night. The hotel staff is friendly and responsive, which makes people feel very comfortable. This accommodation experience around the Haigeng Dam has added a lot of color to my trip to Kunming. "The hotel's facilities were indeed excellent—the rooms were spacious and bright, the bedding was just the right firmness, and amenities like the smart toilet were all provided. However, the service was so disappointing that I wanted to complain. The training was inadequate, and management was lacking! The receptionist was indifferent upon check-in. The next day, I didn't have my room cleaned, and she was extremely impatient when I asked for water, saying that according to regulations, I could only have two bottles, and that she only gave me two because I hadn't had my room cleaned. For a 4-star hotel, the service was 1-star. I paid to stay in a hotel not to be treated with bad attitudes. I don't need smiling faces, at least don't be rude! Furthermore, the public hygiene was terrible; the elevator was covered in stains. And let me complain about the breakfast. It seemed to be outsourced. It wasn't good, fine, but they stared at me while I was getting the food, and they talked loudly on their phones next to me while I ate. It was unbearable. It was worse than a guesthouse. I will never stay here again. They were also reluctant to serve me self-service coffee. I paid money, I'm not begging. They really need to train me properly.
