The biggest pleasant surprise of my Kunming trip was definitely the Dianyu Healing Hotel. It's conveniently located near Daguan Park and boasts excellent facilities: a clean outdoor pool, a gym, and complimentary self-service laundry and drying. They even offer daily sound bowl healing sessions and morning yoga. The front desk staff, especially one young man, provided meticulous service; check-in was efficient, and he proactively shared sightseeing routes for Dianchi Lake. Even food deliveries were brought to the room by a robot! The breakfast spread was a rich mix of Western and Chinese options. The lobby has a serene, Zen-like atmosphere, and cleanliness was impeccable everywhere. The self-service laundry and sound bowl healing were incredibly relaxing for both body and mind. Plus, parking was convenient, and the room had excellent soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Overall, my stay was comfortable and relaxing from start to finish. I highly recommend this place for anyone vacationing in Kunming!

My experience at Hyatt Regency Kunming this time was absolutely five-star plus! I especially want to thank Bianca. She proactively contacted me even before check-in to confirm my itinerary and needs. She stayed in touch throughout my stay, and no matter what questions I had or what I thought of last minute, her response time was incredibly fast. More importantly, she personally followed up on every single request; it wasn't just a simple ”Okay,” but she truly made sure everything was handled before feeling at ease. She also proactively arranged the welcome fruit, snacks, and turn-down service beforehand. I barely had to worry about a thing during my entire stay. Nowadays, many hotels have great hardware, but it's rare to find such detailed and warm service. I also really loved the hotel itself. The overall design is very tasteful, and both the public areas and guest rooms are beautiful. I took so many photos this time; every corner was picture-perfect. I've always had high expectations for Hyatt's service standards, but Bianca's performance still exceeded them. I'd even say her service surpassed my expectations for the Hyatt brand itself. She made me realize that what truly makes a hotel memorable for guests isn't just beautiful spaces and excellent facilities, but rather having someone who genuinely cares about your every need. This stay left a very deep impression on me about Hyatt Regency Kunming, and I hope the hotel will recognize Bianca appropriately. Such service is truly rare and is the most important reason why I would choose Hyatt Regency Kunming again.

Having Wechat, checking process was smooth, we arrived in the day time. The butler greeted us at the lobby and took us to our apartment. The location was good, had breakfast places nearby. Easy pick up and drop off location for DiDi. Having wechat was convenient because you can message the manager directly. One thing that was a bit unclear was how the house keeping works. We stayed for 6 nights and asked how we can vacuum the house but the housekeeper said the vacuum was too big. The manager was very accommodating, they let us store our luggage for 7 days while we explored other towns. This is a great place for family, it is very spacious, the bed was comfortable and includes a washing machine. We will definite stay at the same place again next time.

I spent a long time choosing a hotel for our trip to Kunming because I wanted somewhere that would keep the kids entertained, but also be suitable for celebrating our wedding anniversary and a birthday. I chose this place primarily for the bathtub in this room type and its convenient location. However, once we arrived, I was truly impressed by how comprehensive the amenities are. From meals to entertainment, and catering to both children and adults, everything is taken care of. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive. The biggest surprise was the handwritten birthday card – in this digital age, a handwritten card really warms the heart. We booked two nights, and we didn't even leave the hotel for one of them; we spent the entire day there with the kids and never got bored. My children are already talking about coming back again.

The hotel is conveniently located near Haigeng Dam, and as soon as you step in, it feels like a Banyan Tree resort, with lush tropical plants, fountain courtyards, and especially the stunning large palm trees. The room is very spacious, and the decor has a great sense of quality. The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries are Byredo Blanche, which shows excellent taste. The breakfast is rich, especially the delicious rice noodles – just make sure to go early as it gets crowded. The service is exceptional, especially Nina, who, knowing we were traveling with a child, installed two bed rails and prepared many baby essentials for us. It was incredibly thoughtful, and we are very grateful. The rice noodles at Xiangdao Xuan Chinese restaurant are so authentic; both the chicken soup and ingredients are excellent. This was a truly satisfying stay, and InterContinental will definitely be my first choice when I return to Kunming.

The service at this hotel was truly exceptional. The staff was incredibly responsive, and the front desk service was fantastic. My room was spotless, and the facilities were all very new. However, there were a couple of downsides. The windows didn't have screens, so opening them for ventilation meant letting in mosquitoes. Also, there's construction nearby, which caused a lot of noise in the room, especially in the mornings and evenings. On both mornings I went for breakfast, the 'Er Si' noodles were sold out. I hope the purchasing department can better manage their stock. Despite that, the breakfast service itself was very professional – definitely five-star quality!

This was my first time staying in a Sofitel Kunming luxury city-view king room, and the experience was great! 👍 The room was on a high floor, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered an expansive view of the entire Spring City. The city's nightscape at dusk was particularly soothing. The room was spacious and clean, with exquisite and elegant French-style soft furnishings. The MyBed bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin, and the soundproofing was excellent. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and was equipped with Lanvin toiletries, showing attention to detail and quality. Front desk receptionist Suri was gentle and efficient, providing thoughtful and meticulous service. It's suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Kunming.

The hotel environment is fantastic, right next to Yulongwan Park. There's a small path leading to the back entrance of the park, and it's lush with greenery, making the air really fresh. The front desk staff (especially the young lady) was super friendly and provided excellent service. The room was spacious, and all the drinks in the minibar were complimentary. It also had a balcony, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying a cup of tea – super relaxing!

The hotel's decor isn't modern; it has a traditional American style. The bathroom mirror and wall sconces reminded me of a home I once lived in, which had a similar design, so it felt very nostalgic. Although the room's facilities show their age, you can tell they've been meticulously cared for and well-maintained by the hotel staff. The cleanliness is spot-on, and the hotel service is very attentive, friendly, and polite. I recommend the connecting rooms for families; they offer plenty of space while still providing a good degree of privacy. The location is excellent. Just a short walk from the hotel, you can find authentic 'xiaoguo mixian' (small-pot rice noodles) and local barbecue. You can easily reach many wild mushroom hotpot restaurants by scooter. It was really enjoyable taking the kids around to experience the cityscape of Kunming.

The hotel is just outside the metro station, making it easy to get to tourist attractions like Kunming Old Street. Food options are available at Spring City 66, a station away. We appreciate the hotel getting our room ready according to our requests. Housekeeping did a good job in keeping our room clean and replenishing the beverage supplies. Will stay at the hotel again at our next visit!
