Coming to Kunming Paperman, I realized just how competitive hotel service can be! Let's start with the human touch: 1. They set up a WeChat group for butler service; upon arrival, the butler met me downstairs. 2. A beautiful welcome flower basket. 3. Whether I was out or in the evening, they'd let me pre-select afternoon tea snacks and deliver them to my room. 4. When I accidentally scraped my foot outside, they quickly provided iodine swabs and Yunnan Baiyao adhesive bandages. 5. I unknowingly left my bracelet in the restaurant in the morning; when I reported it at 10 PM, the butler team returned it to my room in 13 minutes – incredibly efficient and well-organized. 6. They proactively offered daily linen and duvet cover changes. 7. Every time I passed the front desk or saw hotel staff, they were always smiling and greeted me warmly. 8. Breakfast was available until 1 PM, plus afternoon tea and late-night snacks, truly allowing for sleep flexibility and no worries about food. Now for the hardware and details: 1. Full set of caviar toiletries – excellent to use. 2. The vanity came equipped with cotton facial towels, mouthwash, earplugs, etc. 3. Dyson hairdryer; after washing my hair with caviar shampoo, it was so smooth I didn't even need a comb. 4. Truly blackout electric curtains. 5. The latex memory foam pillow was genuinely comfortable. 6. Both the overhead rain shower and wall-mounted shower could be selected to run simultaneously with a button; the temperature was stable and water flow abundant, making showering a real pleasure. 7. The rooftop infinity pool is great for photos, and the design and decor of the restaurant and floors are thoughtfully done... There's so much more I could write; it's got everything a star-rated hotel room service should have. The only flaw was an uncontrollable power outage in the evening, leading to the elevators being out of service for several tens of minutes? But all things considered, that's completely insignificant. I love this level of competitive hotel service, and I'll definitely choose Paperman again next time I'm in Kunming!

This is a really great hotel. Both the room facilities and the hotel amenities are excellent, and the breakfast is good too. The pool is very clean and beautiful. I participated in both the yoga and meditation classes, and I highly recommend them. It was a perfect start to my trip. Yuyuan Garden is right across the street. I suggest going for a walk there in the morning before the tourists arrive; it's very peaceful. Given all the services the hotel offers, the price offers incredibly good value for money. The only thing that needs improvement is the complimentary afternoon tea; it didn't come with any tea or coffee, just a plate of fruits and pastries that seemed like they belonged to breakfast. That was a bit disappointing.

The environment is beautiful, and the hotel has a very stylish design with a private garden feel. The service was attentive and meticulous, and the breakfast was rich and delicious. It felt as warm as spring. Kunming is also known as the Spring City, and this trip was wonderfully warm, truly a home away from home.

I highly recommend Park Hotel (Kunming Railway Station North Square Huancheng South Road Subway Station)! The location is incredibly convenient, very close to Kunming Railway Station North Square and Huancheng South Road subway station. It's just a few minutes' walk, making it super easy for catching trains or taking the subway. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and check-in was very fast. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. It was also very quiet at night, so I slept soundly. The breakfast included Yunnan rice noodles, which tasted good. It's convenient for dining and getting around, and not far from Cuihu Lake and Kunming Old Street. Overall, the value for money is excellent. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kunming. Five stars!

While a few aspects of the room ambiance could be slightly enhanced, the property offers wonderful convenience for travelers exploring the area. Service & Hospitality The hotel staff were exceptionally accommodating throughout our stay. Upon our arrival, the team thoughtfully offered us a complimentary room upgrade to accommodations with windows. Furthermore, when we requested a late check-out, the staff graciously facilitated our request without any hesitation, which made our departure delightfully stress-free. Room & Amenities The room was impressively spacious, impeccably clean, and maintained to a very neat standard. The amenities provided met all our practical needs for a comfortable stay. While the room leaned towards a somewhat dim atmosphere—partly because the windows were either tinted or positioned facing an adjacent wall—the overall cleanliness and generous layout made for a restful retreat. Location & Accessibility The property truly shines in its location. It fully delivers on its promise of proximity to major local attractions and is just a short stroll away from the Nanping Pedestrian Street, making daily sight-seeing and dining remarkably effortless

I chose InterContinental Kunming, which has been open for over ten years, because of its location by Dian Lake. It's about a ten-minute walk to the lake, and the surrounding area is very quiet. Old doesn't necessarily mean outdated. The lobby's central axis symmetrical layout gives off a strong and stable aura. The staff are present and attentive without being overly intrusive. This sense of space and appropriate discretion is something many trendy 'influencer' hotels struggle to provide. The hotel's garden area is quite large, with palm and coconut trees giving it a Southeast Asian resort feel. There were even fragrant osmanthus flowers in bloom. The hotel's breakfast spread is very rich, with many Kunming specialties. I loved the rice noodles, each bowl freshly cooked in a copper pot, with both red broth and chicken broth options, catering to both strong and light palates. The 'posu bao' (flaky steamed bun), sticky rice, and the hotel's homemade flower cakes and Yunnan ham biscuits were just as good as, if not better than, those from famous brands outside. There was also yogurt from Gejiu, and you could tell by the taste that the ingredients were pure! I stayed for a week and didn't get tired of breakfast. Hope to see you again next time!

Exiting the hotel and turning left, walking down the slope past a traffic light, it's less than a five-minute walk to the east gate of Cuihu Lake – super convenient! The front desk staff were very welcoming, offering freshly made flower cakes upon check-in, and there were welcome fruits in the room. The twin room was clean and spacious, with a separate wet and dry area, and a powerful shower. The room curtains were quite thick, which is great for light sleepers. From the window, you could even catch a glimpse of Cuihu Lake, which was a pleasant surprise. Many of Kunming's important attractions are located around Cuihu Lake, making it very easy to explore. There are also plenty of dining options nearby – I loved it! I stayed for three days, went for a five-kilometer run around Cuihu Lake, and visited the Zhuanxin Farmers' Market, Yunnan University, Southwest Associated University, and the old streets. Unfortunately, I went on a Monday, so several memorial halls were closed, which was a shame. Overall, apart from the hotel breakfast needing some improvement in food quality, the other services and room size were excellent. In particular, the hotel offers great value for money and is definitely worth revisiting!

Overall, the hotel was great – a true all-in-one spot for dining, entertainment, and relaxation. It’s perfect for spending a few days unwinding. The facilities like the pool and gym were excellent. Everything you need is right here! Plus, the three meals a day offered by the hotel were quite tasty. On a different note, I needed to arrange dinner for my family and called twice in advance to book a restaurant. The front desk said the F&B department would contact me, but they never did, even after I checked out… a bit frustrating. When I checked in, the front desk told me our standard room was on the first floor. I acknowledged it, and then they repeated it, “first floor, okay?” I didn't quite understand why they emphasized it twice. It wasn’t until I got to the room that I realized the cafe’s outdoor terrace offers a direct view into the room. (The front desk could have just said that directly instead of being so vague; how would I know, being a first-time guest?) Three areas for improvement: 1. The non-slip mat in the shower was very dirty. 2. The coordination among the F&B staff needs to be better. 3. The front desk should be more direct. Repeating that the standard room was on the first floor in such a roundabout way completely confused me as a first-time visitor about what they were trying to convey!

The inn's location is incredibly convenient, and it's spotlessly clean with no strange odors in the rooms. The common areas are also very spacious, featuring a study zone, dining area, a bar area, and a beautiful rooftop garden. You get a fantastic view overlooking Jinma Biji, which is stunning. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I fell in love with this place on my first stay and will definitely be back!
