An absolutely delightful stay! The hotel boasts an elegant environment, right next to Yu Garden, offering a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle – a perfect location for those who love a relaxing getaway. The service was exceptionally warm and refined. Whether it was the front desk, the restaurant, or room service, everything was impeccable, making us feel right at home and utterly comfortable. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, featuring local specialties, and the dishes offered a different selection each day. I must also mention that getting around is super convenient. Taxis are readily available and quick, and it's easy to walk out for meals. Initially, I booked for two days, but I loved it so much that I promptly extended my stay for another four days. The pleasant surprise was that the hotel generously upgraded my room!

This trip was a last-minute decision. I booked the hotel after 1 AM and was pleasantly surprised after landing and checking in. As someone who pays close attention to hotel details, especially since Kunming is always just a layover during my trips to Yunnan, I have to say Papman is truly amazing. First, the service: I received a fresh flower basket upon check-in, and the hotel butler was incredibly attentive, responding promptly to all my requests. They even sent a freshly made cake for our wedding anniversary, which was delicious and high-quality. Second, the room amenities: The vanity had a full box of soft facial tissues, makeup remover wipes, mouthwash, and laundry detergent. There was a Dyson hairdryer, and the shower had a dry/wet separation with push-button controls. Third, the hotel's decor: Every step revealed a beautiful view, and there were multiple tea rooms available for guests to use for free. The rooftop on the third floor offered spectacular photo opportunities. Walking around the hotel at night, I was delighted to see the shadow of a deer cast by the镂空灯 (镂空灯 - 'cut-out' or 'pierced' lamps). Fourth, the food: We received complimentary afternoon tea with tasty desserts, and the late-night snack selection was extensive, including rice noodles, fried potatoes, 'bao jiang' tofu, and grilled skewers. The salted peanuts, especially the Yunnan 'xiaohua' black peanuts, were excellent; I immediately asked if I could buy a can to take home. All in all, I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Kunming!

We were a group of 15 people, four families with kids, staying together. Overall, it was quite convenient! Besides traffic, it was easy for the children to go out and explore the area, with plenty of places to eat and shop. The facilities, including the bathrooms, were fine, and the bedding was comfortable for a good night's sleep. The only real issue was the slow service; we were told it was fully booked, and we had to wait two hours for our luggage, which definitely needs improvement, though it wasn't a major problem. I also have a suggestion: since they contact guests in advance, and families with children often book multiple rooms, why not assign them to the same floor beforehand? We had to spend over half an hour at check-in discussing this to get rooms on the same floor. How much efficiency was lost? It was frustrating. P.S. Perfect location in a walkable tree-lined neighborhood, where there are lots of upscale restaurants and bars and cafes. The hotel isn’t the newest and could use a touch-up in places but very interesting design, cool artwork in the lobby, huge rooms. A couple machines for laundry and gym on top floor. Service at the reception was super helpful. Breakfast is in a restaurant that is a German beer place during the day and night. Selection is modest but sausages and delicious broth and noodles, the bread could have been more fresh. Would stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to Haigeng Convention Center, Haigeng Dam, and Dongfeng Dam, and is also very close to Dianchi Cableway and Yunnan Nationalities Village. A small river encircles the hotel, and its interior gardens are filled with various hot springs, lush flora, and pavilions, all beautifully accented by small bridges and flowing water, showcasing an elegant environment. The hotel lobby boasts a grand design with many artistic elements. All staff members are proactive, enthusiastic, and provide service with a smile.

The room was clean and fresh, with beautiful and elegant decor. The hotel environment is very lovely, full of design flair, and meticulous attention to detail. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive, responding promptly to our needs. The location is excellent, within walking distance to Cuihu Lake, offering a quiet retreat in the midst of the hustle and bustle, which made for a great rest and convenient access to shopping and dining. Overall, the stay was very comfortable, and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kunming.

Such a lovely place to stay in Kunming. The staff speak English, and the location is perfect, everything is easily accessible, from the lake to Kunming Old Street, Nanping Pedestrian Street, and even a local fresh market nearby. What I really loved is that it’s a mix of both Chinese and international travelers. If you’re traveling solo, you’ll probably make friends here in no time. I was genuinely surprised to see people of all age groups just hanging out and having a great time together. One small thing to note, there’s no elevator. So if you’re carrying heavy luggage, getting to the top floor can be a bit of a task. Smoking in allowed in the common area, a warning is that you will be passive smoking. My favorite part has to be their cafe and restaurant. After a long day, it was so comforting to not worry about finding food outside. They’re open until 11 pm, and the food is genuinely good. Morning coffee was sorted too. I already miss my favorite Oreo drink, both mocha and chocolate milk, please share the recipe😭. We only stayed here on our arrival and departure days, but ended up eating at their cozy restaurant most of the time. They also have some nice vegetarian options. If I ever come back, I would definitely stay here again. I absolutely loved the place, the vibe, and the people. I was also really curious about the story behind the owner after reading the little note in the menu, but couldn’t find more about it. Wishing you good health and happiness.🌷

This is my third visit this year, and I absolutely love this hotel, even though it's only 30 kilometers from my home. My favorite part is the large balcony, which offers a delightful view of the lake and lush green mountains, with high skies and drifting clouds – it's incredibly peaceful. The evenings are very quiet. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and the breakfast at the restaurant is fantastic.

The inn's location is incredibly convenient, and it's spotlessly clean with no strange odors in the rooms. The common areas are also very spacious, featuring a study zone, dining area, a bar area, and a beautiful rooftop garden. You get a fantastic view overlooking Jinma Biji, which is stunning. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I fell in love with this place on my first stay and will definitely be back!

I had a very satisfying stay. The room was meticulously clean, the bedding was soft, and the overall experience was exceptionally comfortable. It was very quiet at night, allowing for a good night's sleep. I'd also like to commend Xiao Lu at the front desk. She was welcoming, polite, and her service was very thoughtful. Even when I had other questions, she diligently helped me find answers and solutions. The check-in process was efficient and didn't drag on. The hotel's location is excellent, with many dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby, making it suitable for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, I felt comfortable and relaxed. I'll prioritize choosing this hotel again next time I'm in the area. I truly recommend it!
