AomingThis is a truly tranquil hotel. They even upgraded us for free to a room with a private hot spring. The breakfast 'xiaoguo mixian' (small pot rice noodles) comes highly recommended, and the spa experience was incredibly relaxing. The only sounds in the entire hotel were the rustling trees, making it perfect for unwinding. I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance.

Guest UserWe had a great family trip staying at the Grand Hyatt Kunming. The hotel is conveniently located above the Spring City 66 mall, with direct access to shops. It's also within walking distance of Dongfeng Square metro station, and a short taxi ride to popular spots like Kunming Old Street and Cuihu Lake, making it super easy to get around, eat, and shop. Our room was spacious, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western options, plus authentic Yunnan specialties like Mengzi rice noodles, roasted Erkuai, and colorful sticky rice. There was also a great selection of fresh squeezed juices.

Tedi WareSome aspects of my stay were excellent but a few things were terrible. I will mention the good things first. The room was large, beautiful and gave a beautiful view of the sunset. The bathroom was superb indeed and the bathroom amenities were superior as was the shower, toilet and everything associated with the bathroom. The problems were as follow: There was no dining facilities in the hotel to eat dinner and I was very hungry after traveling 12 hours by train from Shanghai. I had to walk very far to get to the area that has restaurants and food kiosks. When I returned to the hotel with some food that needed refrigeration, I discovered the refrigerator in my room was not working. I called for service and the worker who came to check said the refrigerator was broken and could not be replaced. this was a big problem since I needed to refrigerate the only food I had purchased. Finally, another staff came to my room and discovered the refrigerator was in fact , not broken. It was not plugged in properly so that problem was finally resolved after a very long time. The worst thing was the bed. It was so hard, it was painful to lay down on it and impossible to sleep on it. I called the desk for help and they told me that they did not have a softer mattress to give me. The mattress was as hard as concrete and I was desperate to sleep. A staff member came up with a suitable solution. She brought several duvets and covered the hard mattress with them--placing them one on top of another until I was finally able to lay down on the bed without experiencing pain. It was very late in the middle of the night before I was finally able to lay down on the bed and go to sleep.
In summary, the room itself was excellent and the bathroom was superior. Unfortunately, the mattress was entirely unacceptable and impossible to sleep upon. It was also very disappointing that the worker did not know how to. get the refrigerator to work properly but his superior knew immediately what the problem was. Much time was wasted until she resolved the problem. The worker should have been more knowledgeable and competent.

She was patient and kind in her communication, and immediately helped resolve any issues we had, which made us feel very at ease. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel's central location is incredibly convenient, with easy access to all the attractions, saving us a lot of travel time. The overall ambiance is elegant, and the service team is professional and polite, catering to the diverse needs of our family. It was a relaxing escape from our travel fatigue and a truly satisfying stay. I highly recommend it to families traveling together.

Guest UserThis was my first time staying here, and the front desk upgraded me to a lake-view room. The scenery was lovely, with a wide-open view. During the Chinese New Year, the hotel even organized some small activities, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was extensive. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

Guest UserI stayed for three nights, and overall, my experience was very satisfying. This hotel left the deepest impression on me during my trip to Yunnan. The private courtyard and hot spring gave it a real resort feel, and the quiet environment was perfect for relaxation. The breakfast quality was excellent; in addition to the usual offerings, there were freshly cooked items like pan-fried steak and fresh shrimp, which I looked forward to every morning.
The service was an even bigger bonus. Our butler drove us to the mountaintop restaurant for breakfast, and any requests we had during our stay were promptly met. The whole process felt very comfortable—not overly intrusive, but help was always available immediately when needed. When we checked out, they even thoughtfully gave us some tea as a souvenir, which was a lovely touch.
If you're looking for a hotel genuinely suited for a vacation and unwinding, I think it's definitely worth experiencing. I'll certainly come back if I have the chance.

SongshumeiLet's start with the positives: The location is indeed excellent, ordering takeout is very convenient, it's close to Green Lake, and it's very quiet at night! Now for the negatives: 1. At check-in, the front desk told us they upgraded us to a lake view room, which made us quite happy. However, the view outside the window was as shown in Picture 1 – you really had to strain to see just a tiny bit of the lake. 2. I expected the facilities to be a bit old, but not this old: the air conditioner only blew room-temperature air, the bathroom door lock was broken and I got locked inside multiple times because it wouldn't open from the inside, the bathtub leaked when I stood in it to shower, the bedside lamp was broken, and the mattress was saggy in the middle, causing back pain. For over a thousand [yuan/dollars], I really don't understand the price. Avoid this place.

Guest UserI booked this hotel because of its proximity to the amusement park, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The hotel's garden environment is lovely, and the facilities are well-equipped, giving you a truly relaxing vacation vibe as you stroll around. The room facilities are all great, the bedding is comfortable, and the staff are always smiling and provide excellent service. A special shout-out to our butler, Clove, who responded promptly to our requests and helped us order food to our room every day – truly like a personal butler! We had a wonderful stay.

Posted on Jul 24, 2026|Shiguang Family Hot Spring Villa with Outdoor Private Tub
Anonymous UserThis place is truly a hidden gem! The moment you step in, the lush greenery instantly catches your eye. Meticulously maintained bonsai trees, combined with vibrant tropical plants, immediately shut out the city's hustle and bustle, making you feel instantly relaxed and utterly refreshed.
The outdoor hot spring boasts a unique and thoughtful design, offering excellent privacy with rocks and winding vines that create an immersive, natural oxygen bar – a truly fantastic experience. The indoor natural wood-style private bath was an even bigger surprise; the subtle woody fragrance was wonderfully calming. The bathing area was spacious and spotlessly clean. Soaking comfortably while listening to the sounds of nature from the outdoor woods was incredibly stress-relieving.
What deserves the highest praise is the meticulous and attentive butler-style service. The staff proactively helped with luggage, thought of everything, and even thoughtfully prepared breakfast for our outing in advance. Every big and small detail was taken care of flawlessly. The toiletries and towels in the room were neatly arranged and well-stocked. The excellent hardware, overall quality, and warm service were all top-notch, making for a perfect experience. We genuinely didn't want to leave after arriving. A huge thank you to the staff for their thoughtful care; we'll definitely bring family and friends back next time!

It's rare to find a hotel that truly feels like a home away from home, but Bolian Hot Spring Resort certainly does!
First, let's talk about the service. We stayed during the off-season, so there weren't many staff around, but you could still feel the warmth and professionalism from everyone, from our butler Dashi to the restaurant, hot springs, and front desk staff. The front desk staff even multi-tasked, making us tea and driving us to our room. Their professional training was evident throughout our stay.
Even though the hotel has been open for twenty years, it doesn't feel old or dated at all. Every corner of the hotel is picturesque, and the hot springs are fantastic. The courtyard in our room was breathtakingly beautiful.
To our pleasant surprise, the restaurant's food was delicious, with excellent Yunnan cuisine.
We will definitely be back again.
The hotel also provided complimentary executive car airport transfers and vouchers that could be used for dining or spa services at the hotel, which was a very nice touch.
