Hotels with balcony in Kunming

This trip was a last-minute decision. I booked the hotel after 1 AM and was pleasantly surprised after landing and checking in. As someone who pays close attention to hotel details, especially since Kunming is always just a layover during my trips to Yunnan, I have to say Papman is truly amazing. First, the service: I received a fresh flower basket upon check-in, and the hotel butler was incredibly attentive, responding promptly to all my requests. They even sent a freshly made cake for our wedding anniversary, which was delicious and high-quality. Second, the room amenities: The vanity had a full box of soft facial tissues, makeup remover wipes, mouthwash, and laundry detergent. There was a Dyson hairdryer, and the shower had a dry/wet separation with push-button controls. Third, the hotel's decor: Every step revealed a beautiful view, and there were multiple tea rooms available for guests to use for free. The rooftop on the third floor offered spectacular photo opportunities. Walking around the hotel at night, I was delighted to see the shadow of a deer cast by the镂空灯 (镂空灯 - 'cut-out' or 'pierced' lamps). Fourth, the food: We received complimentary afternoon tea with tasty desserts, and the late-night snack selection was extensive, including rice noodles, fried potatoes, 'bao jiang' tofu, and grilled skewers. The salted peanuts, especially the Yunnan 'xiaohua' black peanuts, were excellent; I immediately asked if I could buy a can to take home. All in all, I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Kunming!

I was lucky enough to choose this guesthouse for two nights on this trip. The courtyard is beautiful, and it was so relaxing to sit out there and have a beer after a day of sightseeing. The owner's coffee is also delicious. The room facilities are pretty good for a guesthouse, and it was kept very clean. The guesthouse is located right by Dianchi Lake, so it's convenient for a stroll. Our Luoyuhe room was a bit small, and storage space felt a little cramped; I should have booked an upstairs room. Everything else was great, and I'll definitely recommend it to friends and family visiting Kunming.

I spent a long time choosing a hotel for our trip to Kunming because I wanted somewhere that would keep the kids entertained, but also be suitable for celebrating our wedding anniversary and a birthday. I chose this place primarily for the bathtub in this room type and its convenient location. However, once we arrived, I was truly impressed by how comprehensive the amenities are. From meals to entertainment, and catering to both children and adults, everything is taken care of. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive. The biggest surprise was the handwritten birthday card – in this digital age, a handwritten card really warms the heart. We booked two nights, and we didn't even leave the hotel for one of them; we spent the entire day there with the kids and never got bored. My children are already talking about coming back again.

We came all the way from Chengdu for a two-day weekend getaway. The hotel offers complimentary airport shuttle service, which was a lifesaver when my friend suddenly had severe abdominal pain on the plane. The driver kindly took us to the nearest clinic and waited for us. The hotel's concierge, Bocheng, was incredibly nice and accommodating, always ready to help and even proactively helped us plan and remind us about our itinerary for the next day. The hotel is beautifully situated right on Yangzong Lake, offering a fantastic location. Although it's been open for twenty years, it's still well-maintained and has a unique charm.

Absolutely fantastic! The overall Chinese decor is elegant and charming, and there's a lovely, tranquil private garden perfect for a relaxing stroll. The location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around and exploring. There's a parking lot right next door, and the soundproofing is great – it was incredibly quiet at night. The hotel is adorned with calligraphy and paintings, showcasing various collections, and even has a private tea room where you can enjoy tea and the views, creating a wonderful ambiance. The staff are warm and polite. Highly recommend, I'll definitely bring my family here next time!

Choosing this hotel for our trip to Yunnan's old town was such a lucky find! It's right on the main street of the old town, so stepping out means immediate access to all the shops and snack stalls. It was incredibly convenient for exploring and eating. What's even better is that despite being on the street, it wasn't noisy at all, and it perfectly captured the unique, relaxed vibe of a Yunnan old town. The room was spotlessly clean, and the mattress was so soft. Coming back after exploring the old town and being able to unwind quietly completely washed away all our travel fatigue. The staff were all incredibly kind and had excellent attitudes. Highly recommend!!

The inn's location is incredibly convenient, and it's spotlessly clean with no strange odors in the rooms. The common areas are also very spacious, featuring a study zone, dining area, a bar area, and a beautiful rooftop garden. You get a fantastic view overlooking Jinma Biji, which is stunning. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I fell in love with this place on my first stay and will definitely be back!

The room was very clean. The location is super easy to find, about a ten-minute walk from the exit of Kunming Railway Station. There's a wide variety of food options nearby, all very affordable.

Free parking was a huge money-saver! The room was spacious, so we could spread out our belongings. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the old town, making it super easy to explore the old streets and find great food. LORI gave us some fantastic recommendations for local snacks. This place is incredible value for money, definitely recommend it to my girlfriends!

The inn's rooms are very ethnically distinctive. We booked a loft room, which was Naxi-style. The room incorporated Naxi Dongba script and other unique features, showing the owner's great attention to detail. The staff were also very enthusiastic. I'd love to come back next time and experience rooms with other ethnic styles.
