This trip was a last-minute decision. I booked the hotel after 1 AM and was pleasantly surprised after landing and checking in. As someone who pays close attention to hotel details, especially since Kunming is always just a layover during my trips to Yunnan, I have to say Papman is truly amazing. First, the service: I received a fresh flower basket upon check-in, and the hotel butler was incredibly attentive, responding promptly to all my requests. They even sent a freshly made cake for our wedding anniversary, which was delicious and high-quality. Second, the room amenities: The vanity had a full box of soft facial tissues, makeup remover wipes, mouthwash, and laundry detergent. There was a Dyson hairdryer, and the shower had a dry/wet separation with push-button controls. Third, the hotel's decor: Every step revealed a beautiful view, and there were multiple tea rooms available for guests to use for free. The rooftop on the third floor offered spectacular photo opportunities. Walking around the hotel at night, I was delighted to see the shadow of a deer cast by the镂空灯 (镂空灯 - 'cut-out' or 'pierced' lamps). Fourth, the food: We received complimentary afternoon tea with tasty desserts, and the late-night snack selection was extensive, including rice noodles, fried potatoes, 'bao jiang' tofu, and grilled skewers. The salted peanuts, especially the Yunnan 'xiaohua' black peanuts, were excellent; I immediately asked if I could buy a can to take home. All in all, I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Kunming!

I was lucky enough to choose this guesthouse for two nights on this trip. The courtyard is beautiful, and it was so relaxing to sit out there and have a beer after a day of sightseeing. The owner's coffee is also delicious. The room facilities are pretty good for a guesthouse, and it was kept very clean. The guesthouse is located right by Dianchi Lake, so it's convenient for a stroll. Our Luoyuhe room was a bit small, and storage space felt a little cramped; I should have booked an upstairs room. Everything else was great, and I'll definitely recommend it to friends and family visiting Kunming.

I spent a long time choosing a hotel for our trip to Kunming because I wanted somewhere that would keep the kids entertained, but also be suitable for celebrating our wedding anniversary and a birthday. I chose this place primarily for the bathtub in this room type and its convenient location. However, once we arrived, I was truly impressed by how comprehensive the amenities are. From meals to entertainment, and catering to both children and adults, everything is taken care of. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive. The biggest surprise was the handwritten birthday card – in this digital age, a handwritten card really warms the heart. We booked two nights, and we didn't even leave the hotel for one of them; we spent the entire day there with the kids and never got bored. My children are already talking about coming back again.

To start with: it's been a long time since I've had such a satisfying experience. **Facilities**: This is a hot spring resort that's well-maintained despite its age. Villa 10 is perfectly situated, and the facilities are in excellent condition – not a single sliding door was out of order or stuck, which is quite impressive. However, it would be even better if the front door locks were upgraded. **Cleanliness**: Very clean, very satisfied. **Environment**: I walked all around the resort grounds; the scenery is beautiful. Beyond the expansive lake views, there's also a hidden gem of a pond with bald cypress trees. **Service**: Absolutely more than five points, more than five stars – truly perfect. The golf carts were available on call, and the turndown service was meticulous. A special thanks to Ms. Yang at the front desk for helping to coordinate our departure transfer, adding another wonderful touch to our trip. **Afternoon Tea Experience**: The taste was exquisite; I even worried I might never find such delicious pastries elsewhere again. **Airport Transfer Service**: The transfer car was good, and the driver was skilled and provided thoughtful service. **Outdoor Garden Hot Spring Experience**: The hot springs were great. The bathing area even thoughtfully provided a stool for seniors, though the lighting in the changing area was really too dim to see the locker numbers. **Food**: The food was also good. I really liked the mushroom and radish dish at dinner, and the roasted duck was unique. The breakfast rice noodles were outstanding! And the gulls loved the birdseed provided for them too.

This guesthouse is located right in Kunming's Old Street, with a snack street just outside, making it super convenient for food, drinks, and entertainment. It's less than a 100-meter walk from where a taxi can drop you off. The room facilities are complete, and it's clean and spacious. The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming, which made us feel incredibly comfortable. We stayed here for almost a week straight, and it offers great value for money. Nearby, there's also the famous Duyue Tower (the 'Paper-thin Building'), which attracts many visitors daily. I recommend going early in the morning for some fantastic photos and to avoid the crowds. At night, you can enjoy the old street's night view. Overall, our stay was very pleasant. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kunming!

The inn's location is incredibly convenient, and it's spotlessly clean with no strange odors in the rooms. The common areas are also very spacious, featuring a study zone, dining area, a bar area, and a beautiful rooftop garden. You get a fantastic view overlooking Jinma Biji, which is stunning. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I fell in love with this place on my first stay and will definitely be back!

This Chinese-style B&B stay was such a pleasant surprise! The entire place was spotless, with impeccable attention to hygiene. The bathroom had consistent water pressure, and the hot water came on quickly and plentifully. The B&B was adorned with exquisite Chinese artifacts and calligraphy throughout, exuding an ancient charm. There were also quiet areas for tea and reading, creating a wonderful ambiance. The staff were gentle and polite, patiently responding to all our needs. It was a truly immersive experience of elegant Chinese living, highly recommended!

Traveling to Yunnan with my bestie and our two kids, I specifically chose the Golden Eagle Plaza Hotel near Kunming's Old Street because one of the kids gets carsick, and we could walk to all the attractions. I didn't have super high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The entire hotel was quiet and comfortable, and the room was incredibly spacious – enough for both kids to play freely. There are plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby; we even tried tie-dyeing at the Aocheng Building and bought a bunch of little souvenirs at the Jingxing Flower, Bird, and Jewelry Market. The best part is that everything was within walking distance, saving the kids from car sickness! The front desk service was also excellent. Highly recommend!

The owner upgraded me to a loft king room. The room was very rustic and had a unique Yunnan charm. Breakfast included rice noodles, soy milk, and various grains. The owner even came downstairs to pick me up. The location is about 790 meters from the old town, making it very convenient for sightseeing and getting around. The conditioner was also really good!
