Great
GGuest UserThe front desk staff had an abysmal attitude; I didn't feel like I was being served at all. There was absolutely no useful information provided – nothing about the hotel's shuttle service, the fact that the kids' club costs extra, or details about adding breakfast. The service was utterly terrible. Having stayed at so many five-star hotels, I've noticed that only the Chinese front desk staff provide the worst service, while those who speak English are far superior. The Splash water play area was good, but the Buds indoor playground charges a fee. The bakery on the first floor offers inexpensive bread that's huge and affordable. However, the Louge restaurant's prices are outrageously expensive, probably double what you'd pay outside. A bak kut teh, which normally costs around 20 SGD elsewhere, is 40 SGD here – you'd be better off adding breakfast to your stay. The location is also quite remote. Given this level of service, I won't be returning. The hotel itself is beautiful, though.

MMonika LauraGreat location, amazing staff, and good facilities The location is great — within a radius of 800m, you have plenty of places to visit. Lots of great food experiences as well. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on that. The people there are amazing. They helped me a lot when I forgot my mobile phone in a taxi — a big thank you to them again! One small issue: the room had a smell at the beginning, but the crew fixed it. I think it might be because of Singapore’s climate. Overall, I can recommend this place. The swimming pool and gym are great too.

ZZWikiThis Banyan Tree property, themed around a rainforest, is conveniently located right next to the Singapore Zoo. It's an easy walk to all three parks in the eastern zone, making it a must-stay hotel if you're visiting the zoo. The hotel lobby is completely open-air, and the room interiors perfectly capture the rainforest theme. Definitely one of Singapore's must-stay hotels!

Vvan0ffthewallStaying at GPCH was such a wonderful experience! Here are some of the moments worth mentioning. I enjoyed using the bathtub. It was clean (no water spots or dust), easy to fill, and I love the deep curve shape that it had. It is one of the better-shaped bathtubs that I’ve seen. Loving the Appelles toiletries. They smelled good and always remind me of Australia and their lovely range of eco-friendly bathroom products such as Aesop, Ideology, Le Labo, and Appelles. It’s great that quite a number of hotels use these products. Bathrobe was comfy too! Water pressure from the shower was fine for me, despite what some reviews may say of how it constantly changes. It didn't for me. I love the iconic fleur-de-lis pattern of the bathroom/room flooring (also seen at other parts of the hotel), and optional see-through bathroom to bedroom view that makes it so easily recognisable when you see them on socials. Optional being, you can draw the automated blinds if need be. The iconic design of the flooring, to me also feels very classy and gives it a very English, almost Jane Austen, aristocratic feel. Touch control panel for lighting/ac in the room was easy to use. Though perhaps I do wish there was a way to reduce the ac to below 20. Throughout my stay, it only fell to 19.6 once before constantly rising to 20-21 degrees. It definitely felt hotter than that. Room, furnishings and amenities (such as the fridge, kettle, water machine) were very clean, not dusty, and also didn’t look as weathered despite its age. I did however find an unused disposable eye drop under the bed as I was making it, perhaps dropped by a previous guest. Pillows provided were alright for me too, and I didn’t require any from changes from the plethora of pillows on offer on their pillow menu. I am also glad that the hotel did not have one of those decorative cushions that no one actually uses, so there was no need to put those aside. I enjoyed the crystal club privileges very much! Level 9 was very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was absolutely lovely! The muffins that came with the eggs benedict were so melt-in-your-mouth soft, I can never look at another muffin the same way again. I will dream about those muffins forever! Also love their range of cheeses (blue, camembert, brie) which was there almost throughout the day. Cheese is life! The alcohol range for their evening cocktail was alright too, allowing us to make either a gin and tonic, rum with coke, or have drinks neat like a vodka neat. Pool at Level 4 was great! It’s not often that a pool has a nice view, and sometimes not even some of the 5-star hotels have a good pool view. But GPCH does! The pool overlooks the temple-like roof Chinese Chamber of Commerce building, which gives it rather quaint, tranquil and iconic look. An unmatched view so to speak, accentuated by the hotel’s luscious flora and nature decor. A Shangri-La sort of feel! I love it! Roof top of the hotel offered a nice view of Esplanade and MBS, which was nice, though I still feel the pool is a nicer place to chill at! The staff of GPCH are super friendly and I am forever grateful for their hospitality! From the housekeeping team, to the very attentive and friendly folks at Level 9 lounge. Check in and check out was a breeze too! It was nice to finally stay at GPCH albeit for only night, having only recced the rooms or sat at the lobby before, due to work. It is understandable why it’s been used by many artist management for their groups and bands. Each stay feels like you’ve entered in a private club. Beautifully quiet. The hotel is dignified and polished in a way that makes it a comfortable stay that you will remember in the long run. It does not stand out loudly among its neighbours, but it is in its hidden aspects where you find its gems. Where the words more is less and less is more, this rings especially true for GPCH. Its quiet, introspective detail to human needs is what makes them shine! Thank you Jeane, Audrey and team fo

Aair_akardI stayed at Lyf Funan Singapore for 2nights as a business traveller. The design is fun and colorful, not your typical hotel vibe. The room is compact but works fine, with a private bathroom, and the sink is outside the bathroom which is actually quite convenient. I stayed in a standard room—it’s okay for couples or friends. The hotel has more of a co-living feel. There’s a shared kitchen, dining area, and even a small workout corner, so it feels more social than a normal hotel. Breakfast was a bitsimple with limited options, just a few simple dishes and some bakery items. I’d recommend skipping it and eating outside instead. Location is definitely a big plus. It’s inside Funan Mall, super convenient for shopping and food. You can also easily walk to places like Fort Canning Park (right across the road), Clarke Quay, and Merlion Park. Overall, nice stay if you like modern design and a lively vibe—just don’t expect too much from the breakfast.

AAnonymous UserGreat stay at Pullman Singapore Orchard! The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, and the location is perfect — right in the heart of Orchard with easy access to shopping and food. Service was excellent throughout our stay; staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The amenities were also impressive, and everything felt modern and comfortable. Overall, a wonderful experience and very family-friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserOriginally booked this hotel for shits and giggles coz of Anthropic Claude. This place is obsessively clean. I’m talking about the kind of clean that makes you suspicious — like maybe they have a team that just polishes doorknobs all day. Everything is spotless. Even the complimentary laundry room (which, yes, is FREE with detergent pods included) looks surgical. Zero lint. No detergent residue. No mysterious washing machine funk. Just pure, sparkling cleanliness. For someone as particular as me about hygiene, this was an unexpected jackpot. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Location is solid: walking distance to Chinatown, Maxwell Hawker Centre, Keong Saik Road’s fancy food scene, and two MRT stations (Chinatown and Maxwell). The outdoor courtyard smells like fresh lemon balm disinfectant, which is oddly specific but very reassuring. There’s also a complimentary minibar, which feels generous for a compact room. The double bed room I booked was small but accurately described during booking, so no gotcha moments. If you’re short like me, the bed’s perfectly comfortable. They’ve maximized storage cleverly: luggage space, safety box, mini fridge under the bed. The courtyard becomes your unofficial living room since the actual room is just… bed. The Meh The rain shower is a mystery. I still don’t know how to use it without turning the bathroom into a wading pool. The handheld showerhead has weak water pressure, though the bathroom itself is otherwise excellent. So clean!!! You can feel the MRT rumbling underneath (acceptable noise level), but the real problem is Leila, the bar downstairs. If you’re into nightlife, great! If you’re trying to sleep on the second floor, less great. I could hear thumping bar music until late. Front desk was gracious and delivered earplugs promptly when I asked, so points for responsiveness. Walking around during rainy season would be a drag. The Verdict Would stay again for overnight layover purely for the cleanliness. Thanks for the random pick, Claude (both the AI and the hotel). 🧼✨🤖

贤蛋The room was spacious and had a nice bay view. However, the bathroom was not as depicted in the photos. The shower was in the tub itself and not beside it. Tub was set in the ground and we found a caterpillar and ants around. Breakfast was very lacking in variety. Not worth paying for. On Mon morning, we were woken very early by a loud engine noise. A worker was cleaning the wooden decks right outside and it lasted until late afternoon.

AAnonymous UserPros: 1. Great location near Arab Street and Haji Lane, with many food and shopping options. 2. Ample sheltered parking with validation provided. 3. Bus stop right outside; Lavender MRT is a 6–7 minute walk away. Cons: 1. Our floor had around 100 rooms, though lift waiting times were not an issue. 2. Rooms are quite compact, similar to those in Japan. 3. Soundproofing could be better; corridor noise was noticeable at times. Overall, the hotel offers good value for its location, but those sensitive to noise should take the soundproofing into account.
