STORIES Joo Chiat, a Hotel by Cove - Paya Lebar, Singapore - NEWLY RENOVATED

The hotel looked quite new from the inside, especially since the hotel's description page mentioned it was newly renovated! However, once I entered the room, the overall decor was very worn and dilapidated. The cabinets were discolored, the facilities were old, and the bed was quite 'abstract' (uncomfortable/weird). My room faced the street, and even though the window seemed to seal well, it felt like sleeping directly on the road at night. It was so bad, it felt like cars were driving right over my head! On top of that, I stayed for three days, and they never changed the towels or cleaned the room.

This place was a nightmare! The environment was absolutely awful. Definitely not a place to get any sleep!

Convenient location, clean facilities. The front desk service was just okay, and the soundproofing was quite poor. It's an economical hotel.

This has got to be the best value-for-money hotel in Singapore! The room is incredibly spacious and very clean, though it's a shame there's no window. The lobby design is also really impressive.
