Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre

A place I'll never come back to stay again. Was attracted to its price and the brand MERCURE. I stayed a couple of MERCURE hotel within Asia, this is probably my worst experience in a room. But I'll start with the good thing. Staff Attentiveness - 11/10 Always asking guest in lobby waiting for taxis or grab, checking on us if we are fine and etc. Very good. Thumbs up for that. Cleanliness - 6/10 Room is clean, but certain parts of toilet are not fully cleanse like glass mirror. Bed was clean. The TV is awfully full of dust. Probably is because of new hotel, airconditioned are still blowing out dust. I've attached a photo of the TV close up. check out those dust. Room Size - 2/10 I've been to Singapore a lot and quite a number of hotel have this kinda room design, but didn't expect MERCURE to have this design. Literally, words cant be used to explain the small size of the room. Personally, i always look for hotel room with working table. Seeing the 3D images provided in Trip.com the room got working table with the price that is attractive, I proceed to book, but to my suprise, I cant sit at that working table more than an hour. Is probably the most discomfort working space I been in a hotel. Bottomline, I'll never return to this hotel thanks to its room design.

Hotel is new opening. Good location and have a lot of restaurant in surrounding. 2mins walk to MRT station.

Newly opened hotel. Great location but room is very small , particularly the shower & toilet ( made worse by the bin). The design is not user friendly as despite having comparable size ( and price point) with YOTEL Orchard . No safety box . Location is the main attraction with great bars and restaurants within walking distance

Room is very small with the location reason which is acceptable, but bathroom and toilet is TOO small which you cannot move. Apart of the room size, the services is poor. It might be because it's just newly opened and staff still not be well-trained, but this is Mercure and it is Accor. It's quite disappointing. The worst thing is there is no complimentary parking for in-house guests which is cost 24 SGD per day...

This hotel resembles a condo, especially with that super long pool. Its can a challenge to decide your dining options as are you are smack in the middle of Chinatown, Tanjong Pagar, Raffles, and Telok Ayer but ain’t complaining! The only downside is that the bathroom's a bit snug, kind of like what you'd find on a cruise ship. But hey, considering everything else, it's totally worth the bucks right now that its new! Might try another room option in hopes that it comes with a bigger bathroom!

A completely new hotel with convenient location. Easy walking distance to Lau Pa Sat/china town/the marina bay area. However, the room is a bit small.

Room is too small, you knock everything basically when you turn. You can barely close the shower door without standing at the corner. Won’t recommend unless you are on a budget
