JEN Singapore Tanglin by Shangri-La

Absolutely exceeded expectations! The lady at the front desk who checked me in didn't speak much Chinese, but she understood everything and was very sweet. 🥰 The hotel's location is super convenient, right across from Orchard Boulevard MRT station 🚉. Singapore Botanic Gardens is also nearby, which is great. The staff in Singapore are all of high quality, warm, polite, clean, and tidy. Even the cleaning auntie was from mainland China; life isn't easy for anyone. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

The room was quite good; you wouldn't guess it was renovated in 2007, except for the TV and hairdryer. It's very clean, and the size is decent for Singapore. The MRT is right next to the hotel, and Tanglin Mall is behind it, with a 7-Eleven and everything you need, making it very convenient. It's definitely on my list for my next trip to Singapore!

This was my first time visiting Singapore with my daughter, and we were incredibly lucky. Our booking included two breakfasts and access to the executive lounge, which pretty much covered all our meals. The hotel is also conveniently located right across from a metro station, making it super easy to get around.

The location was decent, but cleanliness was a major issue. There were bugs on the bed in the room, likely fleas, as I had numerous itchy bites on my arms and lower back. The bites became severely worse after checking out and heading to the airport. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

Two nights of fantastic sleep! The pillows and mattress were just perfect. The hygiene was also excellent, and the front desk staff were really enthusiastic. We arrived early, and I mentioned being a bit tired, and they let us check in straight away. The room was good, and it's super convenient as the subway is right across the street.

This hotel is conveniently located right on Orchard Road. It's just a 1-minute walk from MRT Exit 1. Plus, it's connected to Tanglin Mall on the second floor, which means easy access to a supermarket, pharmacy, clothing stores, and various dining options – super convenient! The hotel breakfast is extensive and good quality, and the pool is very clean; our kids absolutely loved splashing around there! What's more, the hotel is really close to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, just a 5-minute walk away. I highly, highly recommend the Singapore Botanic Gardens – it's fantastic for an early morning stroll or run, with a massive, massive, massive tropical rainforest vibe! Finally, a special shout-out to the chef who makes the laksa at the restaurant. I've forgotten their name, I think it started with a 'P' (seriously, I can't remember!), but their laksa is absolutely delicious!!! As for the room size, it's comparable to a standard budget hotel in China, but it's clean and tidy, and there's a direct drinking water tap, which is very handy for refilling water bottles!!!

The hotel's overall environment is excellent, and the hygiene is impeccable. The design is very nice, and the location is superb, just a two-minute walk to the subway station, making it very convenient to travel to various attractions. The front desk staff can communicate fluently in Chinese, which made communication very easy. The second floor has direct access to a shopping mall, making it effortless to find food and buy souvenirs. It happened to be my dad's birthday, and the hotel thoughtfully upgraded our room. The hotel breakfast was very abundant and highly recommended. The kids loved the breakfast, and my mom particularly enjoyed the fried chicken nuggets. Our trip coincided with Singapore's National Day, and we found a great spot to watch the spectacular National Day fireworks. !Travel Tip: Avoid visiting Merlion Park at noon; the sun exposure is intense. We encountered strong sun, and our child felt very uncomfortable. It's better to visit in the morning or late afternoon. Overall, our stay was a very pleasant experience.
