Reception were friendly and helpful, the moment we walked in to the lobby they made us felt welcomed. Location is near to the Singapore Zoo and is great for families and tourist who wish to visit attractions within the area. 3 days and 2 nights would be perfectly just right. The room is spacious and clean, house keeping staff is also very friendly and attentive asking us if we needed anything or change towels during our stay when she’s nearby cleaning other rooms.
Special shoutout to Shaun/Sean, the in room dining supervisor. Would like to compliment him for his service, despite being busy and understaffed he ensured that our in room dining tray and requests are done.
Definitely will visit the resort again!

We stayed in the Family Room at Mandai Rainforest Resort as a family of four and were initially impressed by the warm hospitality. Upon check-in, we were welcomed with cool towels and refreshing drinks — a nice gesture that gave us high hopes for the stay.
Unfortunately, the in-room experience did not meet expectations, especially for a resort that markets itself as family-friendly. The room was noticeably dusty, and the kids’ bunk bed area was poorly ventilated. The air conditioning was preset to eco mode with a locked temperature of 24°C and fixed fan speed, which made the room stuffy at night. As a result, my wife and kids had trouble sleeping and developed itchy skin and runny noses during the night.
Basic kids’ amenities were also lacking — no toothbrushes, soap/shampoo suitable for children, stools for the kids to reach the sink, or an activity booklet. While some of these could be requested from housekeeping, the wait time for delivery was longer than expected, which added to the inconvenience.
While the service staff were pleasant and welcoming, the room condition and lack of thoughtful family features made our stay less comfortable than it should have been. There’s definitely potential here, but more attention is needed to cleanliness, climate control, and in-room amenities to truly provide a comfortable stay for families.

An Incredible Stay at Mandai Rainforest Resort
We booked Mandai Rainforest Resort for my husband’s birthday, and everything about our stay exceeded expectations. The check-in was smooth, and we were warmly welcomed with complimentary food. To our surprise and delight, the resort even provided a birthday cake for my husband—such a thoughtful gesture that made our stay extra special.
The overall concept of the resort is stunning—modern yet harmoniously blended with nature. Everything was easily accessible, and the facilities were spotless. All the public toilets were clean and came equipped with bidets, which was a great touch.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely made us feel cared for throughout our stay.
While we were given complimentary breakfast for two, we weren’t able to enjoy it as the restaurant wasn’t certified halal. It would be wonderful if more inclusive dining options could be offered in the future.
In-room dining was on the pricier side (as with most resorts), but the portions were generous—enough to share between two. And I can’t forget to mention the pandan crème brûlée—it was honestly the highlight of my stay. SO GOOD. I’d go back just for that!
Overall, this was a memorable and meaningful getaway. We highly recommend Mandai Rainforest Resort for anyone looking to unwind in nature with top-notch service and thoughtful details at every turn.

This place is beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. It’s conveniently located about 8-10 minutes away from the zoo. The staff is friendly, and the hotel is new.

Lovely & restful staycation. Friendly service, though there was issues with room F&B service & my room’s aircon at night. Kudos to maintenance crew for fast service recovery. Awesome breakfast buffet with champagne. Needless to say, Banyan Tree has left good memories once again.

The stay at the resort was good.However, the pillows provided was too soft and the mattress was too soft. The temperature in the room was set at 24 degrees Celsius and could not go lower. A fan was used to circulate the air in the room but the queen size bed that was placed near the ceiling was too warm cause the fan could not circulate the air up the ceiling. Hot air rises. The breakfast had an excellent variety of vegetables and fruits. Nice sceneries around the resort.

A different kind of getaway from busy citylife to nature & claming vibe from the resort
Room is very spacious with a very beautiful lakeview love the rooftop pool great to have a good swim & watch sunset.
Breakfast buffet was delicious with many food options
