🛑 Standout, Proactive Check-In Service
The service here is exceptionally family-friendly. During the check-in process, while verifying our guest identities using our passports, the front desk staff noticed my parents' birthdates. Without us even asking, they thoughtfully offered to provide a plastic stool for the shower to make things safer and easier for them. It is rare to see an administrative process turn into such genuine, proactive care! Security is also tightly managed, and the front desk service is available 24/7, ensuring complete peace of mind
🛁 Cleverly Designed, Spacious Bathroom
The bathroom area was a pleasant surprise:
The Shower: It is exceptionally clean and spacious. The layout is so generous that I easily managed to fit my 160\text{ cm} wide portable bathtub inside the stall with room to spare, turning the shower into a private spa setup.
The Vanity Space: While the sink counter itself is on the smaller side and doesn't hold many toiletries, the design compensates perfectly with a wide second shelf underneath the sink area. It kept all our extra items neatly tucked away but within arm's reach.
🍜 Impressive Breakfast Buffet & Local Delicacies
The breakfast spread at Oasia Bistro was varied, fresh, and delicious. For our first time in Batam, it served as a perfect introduction to local flavors:
Indonesian Specialties: The buffet featured authentic Indonesian delicacies alongside standard international options, including a fun DIY ”Noodle Station” featuring classic local instant noodles with various condiments and fresh ingredients.
The Bakery Station: They have an incredible assortment of pastries (like freshly baked Danishes, Palmiers, and Kouign-Amann), but the absolute star was the Pandan Toast Bread. It is a highly unique local twist on standard toast that you definitely shouldn't miss.

GGuest UserRequested for a higher floor away from the bar but got a room on the 6th floor, just right above the bar on the 3rd floor. Rooms are not sound proof so we could hear the bar playing music till midnight plus we can hear sounds from the other room when walking in the corridor. On our last day we decided to have the hotel breakfast and the live meat grilling station started producing a lot of smoke, making the entire hotel lobby choked up with smoke due to poor ventilation. Had to shift outdoors to continue our meal. Location is also far from most attractions but it was not much of a problem since grab rides are easily available an affordable.

NNSZHad a wonderful stay at Panbil Wyndham! Everything was great, especially the superb breakfast with lots of options. I requested a birthday surprise, and the staff went above and beyond by singing and sending me a cake, so thoughtful, I’m truly grateful. The infinity pool was beautiful, and I loved the complimentary drinks and snacks that could be redeemed anytime during the stay(before 10pm). Before heading home, I also enjoyed a relaxing massage at Eska. Overall, such a memorable and enjoyable experience!

Firstly, the room we book is definitely big enough of all of us :) To be able to have dinner on a table, and having 2 toilets, is really great! SUPER big shoutout to the hotel breakfast - it is one of the best I've ever seen. Absolutely huge, and have probably everything you may expect of a southeast asian breakfast :) Regarding location, yes there are not a lot of things you can do within walking distance, but there is a small mini mart just 3 minutes walk away if you want to grab some snacks or drinks. They also provide shuttle bus service to some selected malls - which is great! We did use this service to Grand Batam Mall :) You will have to inform the concierge beforehand just so they can make sure the mini bus will have enough seats for everyone. However, a slight disappointment happened after - after we arrived at Grand Batam Mall, the driver asked if we would like a ride back later (which is so kind of him), I told him I'm not so sure yet - if I'll need one, I'll send a Whatsapp to their front desk. 30 minutes before I decided to book the mini bus back, I sent a Whatsapp which no one replied, so ended up booking a gojek back to the hotel 30 minutes later. Which makes me wonder if what was the point of the hotel having a Whatsapp haha! It would have been nice if someone replied, even if rejecting me for last minute booking, which I am totally fine with :)
Nonetheless, thats the only small point I think the hotel can improve on. The rest of the staff are SOOOO friendly!!! The facilities in the hotel (gym, pool, restaurants) are also clean, looks new, and high end as these are shared facilities with the neighbouring Wyndham Panbil (5 stars). I will 100% recommend everyone to come here, and I would love to return again some day ^^

GGuest UserThe hotel seems dated, but has a vintage feel to it with a grandfather clock in the lobby. Location is quite good, near many malls and amenities. Shampoo and shower gel not the best, no lotion or shower robe provided. Housekeeping responses quite fast. Breakfast was okay, decent variety, not much processed proteins, have good choice of fruits. Swimming pool water looks green and cloudy, gym has good number of equipment, but also dated, which can appeal to some especially with having iron plates. Gym is indoors but not air conditioned.

CChrichillI had a wonderful stay at the hotel with my husband and son, where I celebrated my birthday. The room was clean and comfortable, and all staff were courteous and attentive.
Special thanks to the General Manager, Mr. Bart, for being kind and approachable. It is no wonder the team is excellent under your leadership. Thank you as well for the complimentary drinks. I also commend Pritty for her excellent service at the restaurant. The food was very good, especially the carbonara.
I truly appreciate the thoughtful birthday greeting from Zamzam, Noven, Aura, and the rest of the team. Thank you to the front desk and all staff for the warm hospitality.

FFarhanaZulWe recently stayed at Montigo Resorts Nongsa to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be a memorable experience.
To our surprise, the resort gave us a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful three-storey villa, complete with two bedrooms, a spacious living area on the ground floor, and rooftop access on the top level. It was a lovely gesture that made my birthday feel even more special. We were also treated to a complimentary birthday cake, which was delicious and greatly appreciated.
A special mention goes to the staff, who were consistently friendly, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality and attentiveness contributed greatly to the overall experience.
The resort itself is a great place if you're looking for a relaxing getaway where you can spend most of your time within the property. The villas are spacious, private, and perfect for unwinding.
One area that could be improved is the buggy service. While the staff were helpful, waiting times could sometimes range from 15 to 20 minutes even during our off-peak stay. I can imagine the wait may be even longer during peak periods, so increasing the frequency of buggies would certainly enhance the guest experience.
Do note that the resort is located about 30 minutes from Batam city centre, where most of the shopping malls and restaurants are. If you're planning to explore the city frequently, this is something worth considering.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the thoughtful birthday surprises. The villa upgrade, birthday cake, and excellent service made the occasion extra special, and we would definitely consider returning for another relaxing getaway.

AAnonymous UserIHG. Holiday Inn. It seems like this hotel at Batam has been neglected. Many of the amenities are lacking in maintenance. The pool, gym, kids club.....the list goes on. Staff are excellent. But why has the hotel not kept up with maintaining it well when it's such a popular hotel. Covid took havoc world wide. But many hotels have bounced back and are welcoming guests with renewed hope. Hotels needs to constantly upgrade so that guests want to keep coming back.
Slippery walkways, itchy body after sleeping on the bed and toilets that lack are some of the features at Holiday Inn Batam.
Time to see how you can improve your rating. Its a great hotel if you improve on the upkeep.
Never too late to start. Looking forward to coming back in 2026 if there are improvements.
