"The swimming pool was empty but there’s no information about it in trip.com, bit disappointed. But the place was actually close with lot of places. Then the room was huge i could say, also have a bathtub in it but not really maintained I could say. Saw a very tiny cockroach. Overall was okay for a short trip. Anyway all the staffs were nice and helpful."

"I stayed at this hotel once about 15 years ago. Back then, the property was still relatively new, although I remember the room cleanliness was already not up to standard. Returning this time, it is clear that the hotel has not been well maintained. Signs of aging can be seen everywhere, from rusty bathroom light fixtures to damaged toilet seats. Unfortunately, it was raining during my stay, and the bathroom ceiling was leaking. When I checked into the room, it was obvious that the bathroom had not been properly cleaned, as there was hair all over the floor. One of the rooms did not even have basic towels provided. The hotel grounds and surroundings are beautiful, which makes it even more disappointing that the property has not been properly maintained. To make matters worse, I was woken up in the morning by ants crawling on my bed. Overall, the environment is lovely, but the lack of maintenance and cleanliness significantly affected my stay."

"I had a wonderful stay at Harper Premier Hotel Batam. The location in Nagoya Thamrin is very convenient – food, shopping, and everything else are within walking distance. The room was comfortable, similar in quality to other hotels in the same chain (Fave, Aston, Harper). The smart TV was a nice touch, though it lagged occasionally, and the internet went down a few times for a few minutes before coming back online. Housekeeping did a great job providing clean linen daily, and laundry service was excellent. Room service food tasted great – loved the flavors. One small issue: the QR code on the bedside screen didn’t work, but the front desk gave me a number to place my order without trouble. Breakfast selection was decent, with the menu changing slightly each day – good for guests staying multiple days. The culinary team did a nice job. A big thank you to the Front Office team, especially Minty and Mr. Yon, for their helpful assistance. The security and safety team were also very friendly and helpful. Thanks to everyone – hope to see you again soon!"

"Good location at the heart of Nagoya Thamrin. Surrounded by many eateries, massage place and entertainment outlets. Rooms are clean and spacious with basic amenities. Comfortable bed and pillows. Stable high speed WiFi unlike some of the other accomodations I've been recently. Breakfast was satisfactory with reasonable variety of food."

"The room was spacious and comfortable, and the twin beds were very cozy. Both the interior and exterior were clean and tidy, and the service was excellent. Breakfast and afternoon tea were included, which was a nice touch. If I visit Indonesia again, I would definitely stay at this hotel."

"Stayed at Woda Villa & Spa Batam and had a generally pleasant experience. Pros: The location is very convenient, as it’s close to the town area, making it easy to access shops and restaurants options. The 2-bedroom villa is spacious and comfortable, great for families or small groups. Toiletries were also well provided, with sufficient amenities for the stay. Cons: The private pool is on the smaller side, which may be a bit limiting if you’re looking to fully relax or swim. There were quite a number of mosquitoes, although the villa does provide repellent which helps. The breakfast buffet spread is also quite limited, so don’t expect a wide variety of options. Overall: A good stay for those looking for a spacious villa in a convenient location, but with some minor drawbacks in facilities and dining variety"

"Absolutely loved my 3-day stay at Oakwood! Rooms come in a variety, and I booked a studio that comes with an open kitchen. The studio is spacious and cozy, perfect for bingeing TV on rainy days. With a kitchen complete with pots and utensils, you can even cook your own or heat up takeaway meals easily. Bed mattress and pillows are soft and clean. Room smells a bit in the afternoon when it gets hot but just a tiny bit, but I'm not sure if the smell is coming from me after working out... oops. Anyway no biggie, problem is easily solved with an air freshener from the supermarket next door. Overall, room is clean and well maintained. Service from the staff is fantastic too. They are all courteous, respectful and friendly. Staying in this hotel feels like living in a village where everyone greets and smiles at you. My original intention was to come here, gym, swim and eat clean, but it's kind of difficult to do that when the staff keeps tempting you with delicacies. Besides a free daily pastry from their bakery, they also gave me a free afternoon tea for 2. Sorry Oakwood, I didn't try everything because it's a little too much for me, but I feel completely loved and at home here~ The breakfast buffet spread is tasty and... comprehensive. In addition to the 4-star standard offerings in Asia like egg and noodle stations, Continental and Asian options, fresh fruits, yoghurt and coffee machine, they also boast an impressive spread of local delights like nasi lemak, Indo style kueh desserts, pandan flavoured bread and cakes and more. Outside of breakfast, the bistro also serves a wide range of local and international delights either in-person at the bistro or privately in your room. Picked this hotel partly also because they have a gym and a pool and my experience with both are probably among the best I've had in hotels so far. Besides the usual cardio machines, they also had this all in one rack/machine where you can basically workout most of the major muscle groups without improvising. Very good range of dumbbell pairs and kettle bells too. Probably just lacking a better workout bench, but you can make do with what they have there. And the pool, wow. It was mostly raining when I visited, but on the one day when it's not, the pool boasted a beautiful sunset backdrop in a tranquil setting. Such a beautiful pool at sunset and I had it all to myself! The hotel is right next to Grand Batam Mall too, you can hop right next door for meals, massage and shopping without stepping out to the sun. Very convenient. TLDR, I loved my stay here! Room is spacious and cozy, service is fantastic, food is good, amenities are comprehensive; I have no complaints. For hotels in the city, it is difficult to beat Oakwood in every aspect if you also consider its price."

"My gf and me stayed here for our Batam trip last weekend. When we first entered our non-smoking room, there was a twinge of vape smell lingering in the air. The room was well spaced out with many useful amenities such as furniture, drinking water, kettle, etc. I find the wall shelf by the TV a nice and useful addition. Our TV doesn’t have Netflix but carry some local channels as well as CNA. Although the few electrical sockets in the room are universal adaptors, they feel a bit loose when plugged in. Aircon and bathroom amenities such as water pressure and hot shower all work smoothly. Our window overlooks the immediate neighbourhood and the room is relatively quiet throughout the stay. Sadly, I didn’t use their Wifi so can’t really comment on that. The hotel’s breakfast buffet had limited variety but the quality was good. The hotel is also at a convenient location within walking distance of two big malls, so plenty of food and entertainment! All the staff we encountered in this hotel was super friendly and helpful. We only had one keycard given to us during check-in so when I was accidentally stuck downstairs without a card, the lady at the concierge quickly made me a new one so I could get back to my room. The day after checking out of the hotel, I realised I lost my beloved earpods and whatsapp-ed the hotel in the slim hope of finding it back. Within minutes, I got a message from the concierge, accompanied with a picture of my lost item! I shall definitely return to stay with them again very soon ^^"
