"We stayed for 8 nights. The room was clean but there was no hot water in the bathroom. I went to the reception twice and told them. But the water heater was broken. The bed was very comfortable. The cafeteria upstairs is very convenient and they do a great job. The food was great."

"Changed to this hotel from Thai Kamala beach literally a couple of weeks before we travelled. So glad we did. This was cheaper and in a far better location for us. The Ocean Villa we booked made our stay. It was an amazing place. Great view over kamala beach and bay . The room itself was big with a separate bathroom that had a whirlpool bath right in front of the big windows with the same view as the bedroom. Small area separate to bathroom & bedroom to make tea & coffee and had a mini fridge in. Rooms had everything you could need. It's the only one we had on our 3 week trip around Thailand that had an iron & ironing board! Bed was very comfy so slept really well. As these detached villas are away from the pool and main hotel it is peaceful. Just the sound of the sea , perfect. No better start to the day than opening the curtains and balcony doors and getting back into bed to admire the view and sound of the sea."

"All the front desk staff were professional and friendly. The resort is a bit old but still very nice. I extended my stay because I liked it. The room was in good condition, and the swimming pool was large. This resort is great for families.There are many food promotions, and you can easily spend the whole day there.I definitely recommend it and would love to come back again."

"I was hesitant to book this place because of the many negative reviews, but honestly, when I arrived, I found the room quite amusing. The location was perfect—Surin Beach is the best beach in Phuket (this was my third time visiting). While the hotel could definitely use some renovations—the shower was old and a bit rustic—the view from the bathroom was absolutely stunning. If you’re looking for an ocean view, with the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep and gently waking you up, this is definitely the place. I also experienced the best sunset here, which made the stay even more memorable. The breakfast was average, so I’d recommend skipping it and trying the fantastic local restaurant right on the beach instead. They have a huge menu with plenty of options to choose from. Tips: try to message the hotel to ask for a room on lvl 3 or 4, we got lucky and got the room on the 4th fl."

"The staff are very friendly. The hotel is build on a hill, so they provide a buggy to bring luggages and guests to their block. It’s more of a service apartment. Room is ok, not as spacious as we would have thought. Water pressure, WiFi, firm bed are all good. If you want a quiet place to stay, this is the one. Breakfast is good. Everyday will have new dishes for our 6 nights stay. Decent pool on rooftop. On a good day may have good sunset view. Unfortunately our stays are cloudy days."

"Excellent pool, and beautiful view from balcony the room. Enjoyed the roar of the waves throughout the day from your own balcony. The service is friendly, fast and good. Love the smoothies and milk shakes in the cafe. Enjoyed the infinity pool views. Lovely and romantic hotel for couples. We decided to stay a full day inside the hotel enjoying our balcony jacuzzi as well. I will definitely return again just for the relaxing views !"

Special mention to the shuttle service that made getting around Patong and Kamala so convenient. The hotel truly offers a perfect balance of luxury, comfort, relaxing and great service. After a frustrating experience at another property, the team at Amora kindly fit us into their last two available rooms—and we couldn’t have been more grateful. Our room was spacious, spotless, and perfectly appointed for our family. Every morning we looked forward to breakfast at Isla Restaurant—fresh, high-quality dishes that set the tone for the day. The entire Isla team went above and beyond, especially to celebrate my birthday. Their genuine warmth made the occasion feel extra special. Our boys spent hours splashing in the pool, and I appreciated the clean, well-equipped gym for a quick workout. The only downside was a single visit to Nora Beach Club, where the food and service didn’t measure up to the rest of the hotel—Isla remains our top dining choice. One small suggestion: an earlier room cleaning schedule would be ideal. Overall, Amora delivered exceptional service, lovely amenities, and true hospitality.
