Really enjoyed our time here! The location is a big win — right in the center and walking distance to famous cendol and plenty of good food places. Everything we needed was nearby.
Big shoutout to the staff at the executive lounge and Wembley Café (breakfast crew!) — super friendly and gave excellent service.
The shower had great water pressure, which we always appreciate!
One minor downside was that the window wasn’t completely soundproof, so we could hear fireworks at midnight. But overall, it was a fun and comfortable stay. Would come back again! 😊

A very mediocre hotel. I don't know why the room window was so small and faced an air shaft. I also have to complain about the power-saving device in the room. There are actually two cards, a white one for opening the door and an orange one for electricity. The card slot device was really difficult to use; I tried several times and couldn't get it to work. It was just baffling.

I am very pleased with the service given by the receptionist. They are welcoming and very friendly. They had been going an extra mile for my birthday during the stay and it made my day. 🥰 Thank you so much again for the hospitality and for the upgrade. The room is spacious and have all the basic amenities. The only thing that I think the hotel can improve is adding more variation to their channels on the TV and all the lift need to be available during peak season since it is a hassle to wait for the lift and missed out a few times just because of the lift is full. However I would definitely stay here again the next time I go to Penang for all the other reasons ☺️

The hotel is surrounded by plenty of places to eat and shop. We booked a room with two single beds, but it was quite small, making it difficult to open our luggage. However, there's a hot water dispenser on every floor, and the hygiene is good. The staff are polite, and there's ample free parking. We could even enjoy the night view from our window!

The hotel is located in the heart of George Town, right next to a large shopping mall. While there wasn't much to buy, it's conveniently close to the main city attractions, all within walking distance. I arrived at the hotel around 9 AM on an early flight from the airport, which took about 30 minutes. Luckily, there was a room available at check-in, and I was able to get an early check-in. The hotel shows its age a bit, with some older room facilities, but everything was functional. The breakfast was quite rich, and the lady at the noodle station was particularly enthusiastic. She eagerly introduced the daily specials and even mentioned that I wouldn't get to taste that specific flavor the next day! Overall, the hotel offers good value for money.

Highly recommended, a great value-for-money option in George Town city center. The hotel staff are really friendly and welcoming. I arrived early and they allowed me to check in ahead of time, which let me get some much-needed rest. In the lobby, there's complimentary iced water and chilled drinks available, and when it was hot, a staff member proactively offered me water. The porter also took my luggage directly to my room. Overall, a very pleasant experience. The room was spacious, with a view overlooking George Town city center. The bathroom was a bit older but still perfectly functional and very clean. It's incredibly convenient here; the Pinang Peranakan Mansion and the street art area are only about a five-minute taxi ride away. I also slept very comfortably at night. Highly recommended, I definitely made the right choice.

Very good location. Clean rooms. Right in the middle of Georgetown. Easy to find local foods. Just step out the hotel can easily get yummy local foods like char kuay tiaw, laksa, thai foods, noodle soups, dim sum and durian. Indian Curry Fish Head at Pelita Restaurant. Close to Gamma supermarket where you can find cheap stuffs. And walking distant to famous charwastta market. We will definitely come back to stay at this hotel if we return to Penang.

A nice capsule bed. i had a quiet night and very pleasant stay here for the 3D2N.
The Location, cleanliness, and service are all excellent. Another thing is that we were able to enjoy and experience the breathtaking New Year's countdown fireworks from the historic skyline of Georgetown City at the hotel's common area terrace. See the photo taken during that time below.
First of all, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful.
The Malaysian Chinese lady owner was incredibly kind and always willing to help, which made my stay feel even more welcoming and personal.
As soon as you step outside the hotel, many major tourist attractions are within walking distance, so the location is very convenient.
Aside from that, the room was very clean, cozy, and charming, perfectly capturing the old Penang vibe.
Overall, it’s a simple, compact, and lovely hotel that I truly enjoyed and would happily recommend.

The room was very clean and spacious, not noisy, the pool was lovely and refreshing after a hot days site seeing...location wise it's a little away from the main tourist area but it's only 5 ringit in a grab to Chulia St and some of the eateries across the street from the hotel and massage shops are far better than the tourist areas, so I thought it was a great location. The staff I have to say are an absolute credit to the company, they were very helpful, friendly, patient and assured and were accommodating with a few of my non-standard requests, I will stay here for sure when I come back to Penang

GGuest UserThe hotel truly embodies an old colonial charm with its opulent decor and excellent facilities. The pool in the Heritage Wing isn't quite as impressive as the one in the Victory Annexe. The complimentary afternoon tea was decent. If you've booked the Heritage Wing, definitely try the breakfast at both wings; the fried kway teow at the Heritage Wing is particularly delicious. My only real complaint is that the service, while subtle, still gives off a sense of prejudice.

TTravis8Great hotel, I got a really good deal through trip. Free hot and cold water on each level, free coffee in the lobby and Citadines Van has destinations at set times. I also found the bike for hire pretty good 10myr for half a day. Decent way to get around and get a little exercise. The pool facilities are beautiful, relatively short (~10m) but decent for a few laps and sitting under the water feature is like a free massage. The staff are great, very friendly, smiles all round with a doorman to open the door. Google says this is a 3 star hotel but it is certainly not. It’s a strong 4 star in my opinion. Rooms are nice, bed is comfy, service is good. The only drawback worth mentioning is the gym facilities are lacking, treadmill, bike and elliptical for some cardio. Dumbbells and a bench would go a long way to making this is very usable gym. There’s a good gym nearby and the money saved on coffees and bottled water can pay for gym admission. I also found a great restaurant (hummingbird cafe & dining) just around the corner from this hotel which became a frequent for me as the meals were tasty and healthy.

What impressed me most was the sense of space. Both the room and the public areas were very spacious, completely free of any cramped feeling. The room itself was large enough to spread out luggage and move around freely. The bedding and furniture layout were well-arranged, not feeling crowded at all, making for a very relaxing stay. The bathroom area was also quite roomy, with a clean and efficient wet/dry separation, making showering and washing up very comfortable and convenient for daily use.
Next up is the pool, which scored high marks for both aesthetics and practicality. The pool's design is beautiful, the water quality is clean, and the environment is meticulously maintained. It's fantastic for photos during the day when the light is good, and a swim in the evening or at night with the breeze is incredibly pleasant. It's suitable for both relaxing and for kids to play in the water. Even just sitting by the pool and daydreaming felt very therapeutic.
The location is another big plus. It's super close to the night market, within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for evening strolls and eating. No need for taxis or long walks; if you want to grab some snacks, buy small items, or soak in the local atmosphere, it’s just a few steps away. Returning late also felt very safe. It’s ideal for anyone who loves the night market vibe and doesn't want to hassle with transportation.

From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel facilities were well-maintained and comfortable, perfect for both relaxing and getting around the city.
The breakfast spread was a real highlight, a great variety ranging from delicious local dishes to a lovely cheese platter. There was everything from a freshly prepared egg station to a fun ice cream corner, so there was something for everyone. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely recommend OZO Penang to anyone visiting Penang.

GGuest UserThe semi-transparent door in the room is really not family-friendly, and it doesn't close properly, always leaving a 3cm gap. This severely impacts the sense of security. After complaining to the staff, they just put a lock on with double-sided tape, which, while it allowed the door to lock and reduced the gap, still didn't make it close flush.
On top of that, the water pressure is extremely low, and the overhead shower is unusable. The staff mentioned that many guests have complained about this, but it still hasn't been fixed. Although there are two air conditioners in the room, one frequently turns off by itself, requiring me to switch it back on multiple times throughout the night, which disturbed my sleep. The light above the bed was also broken and kept flickering.
However, the staff were generally friendly, and the hotel itself is spacious and quite clean.

CCHONG CHING3 Days 2 nights stay at Chulia Mansion Georgetown
We booked 2 superior rooms for 2 nights via trip.com for Rm644.40 or Rm161.10/room/night . We checked in to Room 207 and room 215 upon arrival.
Once the door of Room 207 was opened, a bad odour full of stingy smell appeared. We did not care to take action at that moment. We went out for good food. After coming back to hotel to rest, we tried to check whereabout the smell coming from, and to take action by closing the toilet door from that moment thru the night. Sad to say, the stingy smell was still there all night long, and I could not have a good night sleep thru the night while surrounded with bad odour.
On top of that, the toilet shower rubber hose was cracked and water rushed out during our shower in day time.
The following day, I went to the lobby to tell the hotel lady, all the facts and request to change to another room. The lady checked the hotel computer system and told me that the hotel was fully booked a night before once housekeeping was done, they will give me a new room. That was roughly 12 noon. So, they tell me to go back to stay in room 207 to rest, and to wait for her call.
At 12 something , one man knocked on my door and sprayed our room 207 with air freshener, changed the hose and left.
By 1pm, I was uneasy and I went to the Lobby to follow up with the change of room. The same lady was watching something like movie her table, I asked her why nothing done to call and inform me to change to a new room. She raised her head and looked at me and said that the housekeeper informed her that there was nothing wrong with the room.
At that moment, my temper was up and I told her firmly and repeatedly that i want to change to a new room.
The next thing happened was that we were checked into room 315. We were lucky and happy that room 315 has no bad stingy smell. However, the shower hose in the room 315 was rosak then again I told the lobby about the facts.
So, moral of my stay is to follow up with the LOBBY all issues and defect in the hotel room that I feel unhappy with.
The whole purpose of the stay is to get happiness and relax by paying cash that worth the value, and not wait until check out to complain.
Last but not least, room 215 facing the street also noisy due to the sound and noise coming from motorcycle , cars and vehicles during daytime outside street, and also live band, loud music and pub. You can also hear music and live band coming from the roof of Chulia Mansion building itself.
Finally, I think if you are a light sleeper this hotel definitely is not your choice.

With Bishop Hotel, you can go to the seaside park, clock tower, Fort Cornwallis and the weld easily.
The reception staff is nice & helpful.

GGuest UserA bit far from Batu Ferringhi and Teluk Bahang, where the kids love to play, but very close to the core area of Penang. Suitable for young adults and seniors.
Breakfast was pretty good, and the kids absolutely loved the pool. It's not far from central Penang, so shopping and dining are convenient. The melodious call to prayer from the mosque outside lulled us to sleep.
Cons: The air conditioning in the lobby was too cold. You could see the distant Penang Bridge, but where was the bay view? :)
