Newly renovated hotel. The breakfast options could be improved, but otherwise, everything was great.

Great service, the front desk staff were all smiles, and the cleanliness was good. The decor is beautiful and perfect for photos. However, if you're traveling with family, you might want to reconsider. The room design has an issue: the toilet light cannot be turned on independently. If you need to use the restroom at night, you have to turn on the master light, which wakes everyone up! Additionally, we stayed in a family room with four people, but there was no refill for the toilet paper or tissue box, which was very inconvenient and not what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel.

The day I checked in, the person who assisted me spoke English, and they understood simple requests, so communication was easy. All the important information was provided in both Chinese and English, making check-in a breeze. The room was quite clean, and the one I booked was over 40 square meters, which was very spacious for two adults and two children. The doormen were always smiling, making every entry and exit a pleasant experience. It’s super convenient to walk to places like Mural Street from here. Even our taxi driver commented on how good our hotel was, highly recommending it!

The hotel's exterior is very unique. I passed by it on my first day, staying at a different hotel, and was immediately drawn to its appearance. However, my stay was quite mediocre and didn't really justify the room rate.

We came here from the Shangri-La by the sea, and the difference is just too stark! We booked a family room, and as soon as we entered, there was a terrible bathroom odor. It was so bad we had to keep the windows open day and night just to make it bearable. The view was incredibly poor and quite depressing; we couldn't see anything outside, just constantly facing the pool. We didn't even realize it was raining. This severely impacted our stay. As for the pool, the water temperature was freezing! Our child loves to swim and insisted on getting in, but within minutes, their lips turned purple, and they were shivering uncontrollably, so they had to get out. The bathroom and living room lights couldn't be switched on independently. If you needed to use the restroom in the middle of the night, you had to turn on the living room light as well, which woke up the entire family.

I have to give a shout-out to the hotel service! The front desk staff were warm and considerate, and they even offered Chinese-speaking service. Check-in was very efficient. The hotel environment is elegant, the pool is spacious and clean, and you see staff members smiling everywhere. The service is consistently excellent. This is a great choice for a vacation.

This was my second stay at The George Penang, and once again, I was blown away by its beauty and warm hospitality. The moment I stepped into the lobby, energetic staff with beaming smiles greeted me, making me feel incredibly welcome. Even after a year, the facilities are still new and perfectly maintained. This time, I tried the room service, and it was excellent – fast and accurate. The service is simply unbeatable!
