Overall had a pleasant stay in this hotel. Wish to compliment the crew at Monkey Kitchen. All of them are very friendly, polite and provided excellent service when we had breakfast there for a few mornings. The hotel location is strategic and price is reasonable. Will definitely come back again during our next Penang trip.

The location of this hotel is superb. It is located near to major attractions like Peranakan museum, first avenue mall and also to Komtar bus station for those who want to travel on a budget. The cleanliness is superb and everything seems new. The breakfast was simple with Char Kueh Tiao or char mee with sweet gravy being served everyday. But for this price, I have no complaints. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Cleanliness is bad, my thumb, legs and back got stung by bed bugs. The pic of the ankle is the scar from the bed bugs after 1 week. The bathroom glass door cannot be closed tight, whenever you shower, the water will flow out and the bathroom is literally flooding. LIMITED PARKING LOTS - the hotel is meant for foreign tourists who don't drive. If you are driving, please avoid this hotel. They hotel is huge but only have 10++ basement parking lots, with narrow car park entrance and small space within the parking space. You can always PAY A FEE to park along the street or enter into private parking. Parking lots along the street are usually available at10pm due to its busy location.

This hotel was a lovely stay. It's comfortable, location is great. The only downside is there are no mirrors that are next to plug points or in the main room other than the bathroom. It was quite difficult to use a curler/ straightener for our hair to get ready.

The room was tiny, probably only about 12-13 square meters, but the description claimed each room was 19 square meters. Ctrip clearly doesn't verify these details. The front desk was beautifully decorated, but it's all just superficial.
