IntercityHotel Budapest
9.1 (744 reviews)

IntercityHotel Budapest ★★★★

📍 Baross tér 7-8, District VIII-Jozsefvaros, Budapest

"The hotel's location is extremely convenient, right next to Keleti train station. You just need to cross the street to get there, which is super handy for travelers arriving by train. The hotel facilities are new, and the staff are very friendly. I initially had trouble connecting to the hotel's Wi-Fi, but the front desk helped me resolve it. There's a Spar supermarket downstairs, and an Aldi supermarket about a five-minute walk away, with the Aldi being larger."

Danubius Hotel Arena
8.9 (117 reviews)

Danubius Hotel Arena ★★★★

📍 Ifjúság útja 1-3, District XIV-Zuglo, Budapest

"Conveniently located right by the subway, this hotel is great for business travelers. It has a small balcony, and the room, though a bit compact, was very clean and well-equipped, even with a mini-fridge. My only minor complaint was that the AC couldn't be adjusted and was a bit noisy. The staff were all very friendly, so overall, I had a good experience."

📍 Ntak: Sz19000074, Bem rkp. 33-34, District II-Rozsadomb, Budapest

"Very small room with a courtyard view. The staff were more than reserved. The breakfasts, with a view of the Danube and Parliament, were wonderful."

City Hotel Mátyás

City Hotel Mátyás ★★★

📍 Március 15. tér 8, District V-Belvaros-Lipotvaros, Budapest

"The hotel was clean and the breakfast was varied. Despite being an old building, the location was excellent. It was right in the center and within walking distance of tourist attractions. The only negative was the lack of a desk in the room. When I wanted to eat something, I had to eat in bed."

"This hotel is a popular choice for many tourists because it's very close to the train station and feels very safe. There's a huge Spar supermarket right next door and a really good Vietnamese restaurant. The hotel itself is very clean and offers self-service."

Danubius Hotel Arena ★★★★
"Great location, but no parking available. If you walk about 300 meters to the left, there's a Chinese restaurant that serves noodles and rice dishes. The rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy, so I'd recommend asking for a room further inside when you check in; it should be much quieter."

Novotel Budapest Danube ★★★★
"It was just okay, typical GreenTree Inn standards. The view was great, but everything else was pretty average. Lots of Koreans staying there. The room was small, but cleanliness was decent. The facilities were old. The main advantage is its proximity to Fisherman's Bastion; it's just a short walk up the hill. You can even wait for the Parliament building to light up at night, and you can get good photos right from the hotel hallway."

City Hotel Mátyás ★★★
"It's a bit hard to find at first, traditional and old Budapest building, but the location is excellent. Couldn't be better. Super close to the Danube, Váczi Street and public transportation. Many restaurants and shops in the area are open till late. The hotel does not have parking and I paid a fortune for overnight parking. Basically 15k forint for overnight plus another 7k forint for a couple more hours. The receptionist was super helpful though and suggested a much more affordable car park, next to WestEnd, where I moved the car for the rest of the stay and used public transport instead. The hotel is good, clean and decent size room. Bathroom amenities... Don't expect much, but there's hair dryer and if I'm not wrong, there was an iron and ironing board as well. Can definitely recommend if you get it for a decent price. I'd definitely stay again."

Boutique Hotel Victoria Budapest ★★★★
"This hotel boasts an excellent location! There are three rooms per floor, and the building has eight floors in total. The third room offers the best view, and I stayed in the first one! (The view wasn't the absolute best, but you could still somewhat see the Parliament Building). If you want a higher floor, you'll need to pay extra (I highly recommend directly emailing the hotel). The hotel also provides breakfast and free luggage storage. I truly recommend this location! Plus, unlike the Hilton, even though you can see Fisherman's Bastion, you have to hike uphill to get there. My room was also very spacious, and it had a separate wet and dry bathroom area."
