Mövenpick Hotel Budapest Centre

I stayed at this hotel recently and was very disappointed by an unexpected room service charge for very basic requests. I asked the reception for a knife and some ice, and was told that they could only be provided if I paid an additional delivery/service fee, otherwise I had to come down to reception myself. This felt unreasonable for a hotel that positions itself as premium and guest-oriented. Basic items like a knife and ice should not come with a hidden fee when the hotel already markets itself as a comfortable 4-star experience. I was surprised that such a policy was not explained at check-in or shown in hotel information. The hotel itself and the rooms were nice, but this kind of charge left a poor impression. I hope management will reconsider this policy or at least inform guests transparently at check-in so that expectations are clear.

The room is good! Good location! Good staff! The check-in day was my husband birthday and they send us a cake in the room.

Great location and quiet.

Nice hotel, staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel is is a decent location, close to the Jewish Quarter and maybe a 30 minute walk from some of the touristic places.

Be careful, the cleaning staff gets into suitcases. They got into my suitcase and took Lindt chocolates from a sealed bag. They were a gift for my daughter, and the situation was very unpleasant. Management only gave me a business card asking me to write to the manager. The rooms are cleaned poorly, there were long black hairs on the carpet the entire 3 days of my stay at the hotel, even though I'm blonde)
