Anantara New York Palace Budapest - A Leading Hotel of The World

This hotel is extraordinary. Its main highlight is the historic section – a mini Hermitage where live music is always playing! The pianist is wonderful. Zina at reception was fantastic; she showed us around and told us all about the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the fresh flowers in the room and the twice-daily housekeeping service. We will definitely recommend this hotel!

Our original booking for a family suite was unavailable, and the hotel insisted that the standard room they gave us was the correct room type. This was completely inconsistent with the pictures from my stay in 2024 and the room type displayed on Ctrip. It wasn't until I showed them photos from my previous stay that they admitted the room type was incorrect. After negotiating with their supervisor, we paid an additional 200 euros per day to upgrade to a larger suite. Aside from the convenient access to New York Café, everything else was really subpar. You can compare pictures one and two with the room type images on Ctrip – consider this a warning!

This hotel is fantastic! The staff are so warm and friendly. The New York Cafe is right next to the hotel's ground floor, which means you don't have to queue for a table during your stay – super convenient, especially in peak season. We also had breakfast there, and the selection was incredibly rich and varied. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Classic decor... everyone was too focused on the New York coffee. The waitstaff seemed a bit arrogant. Breakfast was just okay... 😔 The only thing...

I chose this hotel specifically for its ambiance, as it's a popular spot for influencers. There's a line every day, but as a guest, I got to skip it, which was a nice perk! 😄 Actually, breakfast is served in the same area as the cafe, so there's no need to go to the cafe separately. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the city center attractions, about a 20-minute walk.
