3-Star Hotels in Budapest

Used to be a frequent guest 10 years ago, before the upgrade to ”Superior Boutique”. Perfect location i n a quite side street, but still right in the city center, next to M3 and M4 Metro station. Check-In/Check-Out etc. possible via App or staff. Clean/quiet room with a comfortable bed. Strong/stable wifi. Excellent breakfast. After 10 p.m. they place a sign on the Receptionist table, informing guests that the srlf service, so called self service ”Honesty Bar”, next to the Reception is open 24 hours, while in fact it is nowadays closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The guesthouse is on a lower stay standard than the hotel itself, however, for a single night the difference is not hugely important. I found the lack of soundproofing and creaky floors to be bothersome, next time I will stay in the hotel part of the establishment. However, for cost-conscious travellers, the guesthouse is still a great option, especially if you are in transit only.

Everything is clean. Mattress a bit hard. Quite convenient as we drive a car. Carpark at the hotel basement. Use hourly rate Ft300/ hour instead of whole day pass £22 if you not staying at hotel whole day. No toothbrush toothpaste only have body wash provided. Coffee shop at lobby quite good.

After the airport bus leaves the city, you need to get on and off the subway station or take a long detour to cross the road. (Be careful when carrying heavy luggage) The hotel is on one of the first floors of the building. Please pay attention to the service hours of the building gate/reception desk, otherwise you may touch the door nail.

Check-in and check-out are efficient and quick, and services such as luggage storage and route information are provided patiently and attentively. The hotel thoughtfully provides complimentary tea, snacks, and coffee throughout the day, allowing guests to relax at any time – a considerate and thoughtful touch. The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of options, including hot and cold dishes, fresh fruits and vegetables, and specialty breads, all made with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors to start your day right. As a solo traveler, I spoke no Hungarian and my English was very limited. The front desk staff were incredibly kind, and my room was spacious and clean. I understand that amenities like conditioner and toothbrushes weren't provided, and I honestly didn't expect them. The view from the hotel was spectacular, with a beautiful church visible close by. Its proximity to the station made it very convenient. They kindly held my luggage for me while I was out exploring, which allowed me to see so many sights. I visited the Central Market and even had the chance to attend mass at a church. The area also boasts numerous attractions, and I even found an unexpected shopping mall nearby, which was a fun surprise! I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Hungary. Thank you very much.

The accommodation is close to several supermarkets. It's about a 1.5km walk to catch the 100E bus to the airport. The breakfast exceeded expectations.

Fun from the very start. You gò to reception on floor 1/2 in a moaning old lift. Lovely staff, very helpful and accommodating. You couldn't get any closer to St. Stephens cathedral!! The room we stayed in was a studio on the 4th floor, but facing away from the views. No problem, as it's right outside the front door!! Close to many wonderful sights, metro, trams, and bus stops. Some of the kitchen items could do with an upgrade. Unsure if off season travel and prices effected the cleaning service? But we saw leftover moments from previous guests all over the room. And we couldn't make the tv work, but who needs tv when in Budapest??! But for short-term term visit, great central location!! 👍

Great apartments! There's a wonderful coffee shop called Arabica and an Asian spot called Ichigo right nearby, which I visited every day. Highly recommend!

Check-in is a bit troublesome: --Download an app called Guestavisor, fill in information, and upload ID photos; --Go to the front desk to pick up your room key, which is about a 20-minute walk from the accommodation; 2. The building entrance uses a code system. After entering the code, you must push the door immediately when it beeps, otherwise it will lock; 3. The elevator is currently out of service, but many apartments are on the 3rd or 4th floor. Be cautious if you have large suitcases. If you need assistance, you need to make an appointment with the staff in advance; 4. Cleaning is not provided during your stay and requires an extra fee; 5. There are many trash cans on the first floor, which are quite smelly; 6. The location is excellent, with a very close tram. It's a little far from the subway station, about a 9-10 minute walk; 7. The room facilities are good, and the cleanliness of the apartment area is excellent. The apartment itself is fine, the heating is sufficient, and the Wi-Fi signal is good. In conclusion, considering the price and location, I shouldn't ask for too much. So I still gave it a high score. This is just to set an expectation for other people who want to stay here.
