Guest UserThis was my second stay at Z奢 in Haikou, and the hotel staff were as welcoming as ever. From helping with table reservations, luggage assistance, arranging for forgotten items to be sent back, to complimentary souvenirs, and the children's center's attention to kids – you can really feel the vacation and family-friendly hotel atmosphere. Oh, and the roujiamo at breakfast was delicious! A big thank you to Lina, Wang Nan, and Hailey for their excellent care.

travellerjingI had a pleasant stay at Atour Hotel Haikou Wanguo Metropolitan Qilou Old Street. Prior to arrival, I requested an early check-in as well as a high-floor room away from the lifts if possible, and the hotel accommodated both requests perfectly. The room was located on a high floor and offered a fantastic 270-degree panoramic view, which was undoubtedly the highlight of my stay.
The front desk team was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout. Special thanks to Front Desk Manager 万新, team member 幸怡, and the rest of the team, who went above and beyond in assisting with the collection of multiple parcels before my arrival. Their proactive assistance and warm hospitality were greatly appreciated. Communication was also very convenient, as the front desk was highly responsive via WeChat and quick to assist whenever needed.
Some feedback during the stay:
The room itself had a somewhat unconventional layout, likely due to the building's structure and the corner positioning required to achieve the panoramic view - totally understandable and appreciate the Front Desk for explaining it to me upon my arrival.
From previous reviews, I had expected the room to feature smart controls (possibly Xiaodu, heated/automated toilet bowl as seen on other reviews), but I was not briefed on any smart room functions during check-in and could not seem to activate them myself. This was not a major issue, but a brief introduction during check-in or a simple user guide in the room would have been helpful.
The panoramic view was absolutely stunning, especially during the day and around sunset. One thing to note, however, is that the floor-to-ceiling windows allow a significant amount of sunlight into the room. On particularly sunny days, the room could feel quite warm even with the air-conditioning running at full blast. Blackout curtains are provided, of course, but drawing them somewhat defeats the purpose of enjoying such a spectacular view.
Breakfast was decent, offering a reasonable variety of options, although nothing particularly stood out. It was perfectly adequate for starting the day, but not one of the hotel's main highlights. One small observation regarding housekeeping: on my third morning, while I was heading out for breakfast, a housekeeper casually asked me in the corridor whether I was ”still staying today.” I understood that she was likely trying to confirm whether the room required servicing or whether I would be checking out, but the phrasing felt a little awkward. A more guest-friendly way of asking might create a better impression.
A couple of other points worth noting: sound insulation around the room doors could be improved, as neighbouring room doors closing could be quite noticeable. In addition, the room door requires a firm push to shut completely; otherwise, an alarm will sound. There were also some mosquitoes around the hotel premises, although the room was thoughtfully equipped with an electronic mosquito repellent.
The hotel's location is reasonably convenient, but it is worth noting that it is not quite as close to Qilou Old Street and some of the nearby attractions as I had initially expected. While the area is technically walkable, Haikou's heat and humidity can make the walk feel much longer and less pleasant, especially during the day. In practice, I often found myself opting for Didi (online-hailing app)instead. Not a major drawback, but something to keep in mind if you plan to explore the area primarily on foot
Overall, the excellent service, responsive staff, and spectacular panoramic view made for a very enjoyable stay. Despite a few minor quirks, I would happily stay here again on a future visit to Haikou.

Ad3lin3I stayed at Novotel Haikou West Coast for 6d5n. There are a few ways to travel from Haikou Meilan Airport to the hotel.
The most convenient option is definitely taking Didi. The ride usually takes around 40–50 minutes depending on traffic, and the total fare is approximately RMB 70+.
Another option is taking the railway. You would first need to buy a railway ticket to Haikou Railway Station, which costs around RMB 10 and wait for the departure time. After arriving at Haikou Railway Station, you will have to take Didi to the hotel for around RMB 15.
There are also buses available, although I did not personally try this option during my trip.
The hotel provides free laundry facilities including washing machines, dryers, detergent, and even disinfectant for laundry use. Everything worked properly and the dryer actually dried the clothes well, which was very convenient for travellers.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The pillow and bed were cozy, the air-conditioning worked very well, and the room felt warm and relaxing. Daily housekeeping replenished 2 bottles of mineral water and 3 complimentary beverages (sparkling water, Coke, and milk), which was a nice touch.
The staff were also accommodating. They allowed me to extend my checkout by 2 hours, which normal check out timing is at 12pm. (additional late checkout charges at rmb40/hr).
I am staying at level 4 (total there are 5 levels). I was lucky enough to get a room on the same floor as the gym and laundry area, which made everything very convenient.
In terms of location, I think it depends on the purpose of your stay. If your main plan is visiting attractions in the city area every day, this may not be the most convenient option as travelling usually takes around 30–40 minutes by car and each trip can cost around RMB 30+ – 40+ depending on traffic.
However, if you are looking for a relaxing hotel stay near the west coast area, this hotel is actually a very good choice.
One thing to note is that there are not many eateries nearby. The nearest convenient shopping mall area is called Yuanda (well known one), where you can find restaurants, supermarkets, and snacks. You can take didi there at Rmb 5 to 10 or you can walk there also, but I dont suggest.
The only downside for me was that I occasionally noticed cigarette smoke smell in some common areas, and there was a slight dried seafood/damp smell when I return to my room after a day, which may be related to the coastal location but there is a ventilation in the room .
Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel.
*Sorry for the photo quality. I only recorded videos of the room during my stay, so these are screenshots taken from the videos.

This hotel experience was fantastic! The room was spacious and bright, with brand-new, smart facilities. The bedding was incredibly comfortable; I slept like a baby. The staff were warm and attentive, and the breakfast was rich and delicious. The pool was the cherry on top, and there's also a large dog-walking garden that's absolutely stunning at sunset.

RainbowYe2025The hotel environment is very comfortable, with many family-friendly facilities. Kids can have a blast at the water park, squirrel park, and volcanic hot springs. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. Manager Yin at the front desk also thoughtfully upgraded our room and gave us complimentary fruit. It was a great experience, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Haikou.

The hotel service was absolutely wonderful. We arrived quite late after our flight, practically in the middle of the night, but the staff were still so welcoming and enthusiastic. The complimentary fruit was delicious! They even upgraded us to a larger room, which my friend's kids loved – they played hide-and-seek for a good two hours, haha. After eating too much, I went to the 11th-floor gym to work it off. All the facilities were excellent! The latex pillows were incredibly comfortable. The location seems to be in the city center, which made getting around super convenient.

Guest UserThis is a four-star hotel, and admittedly, some of the facilities are a bit old. When I arrived in Haikou, it had just rained, and there was a musty smell in the room and corridors, which was a bit off-putting. However, everything else was quite good. What stood out was that the shower water was natural hot spring water, and you could even enjoy the hot springs from 2 PM to 10 PM daily. For a room rate of just over 100 RMB, it's truly excellent value for money. Plus, the hotel is located right in the old town, full of local charm and a lively atmosphere. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Haikou.

The hotel environment is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is warm and attentive. We had a wonderful stay these past few days, it's very suitable for families. The overall experience was excellent, and our butler Joan was very nice, even bringing us small desserts. The hotel is right by the beach, so you can also take the kids to dig in the sand and play in the water~

I chose to stay here for the Haikou Marathon because it's only 3km from the starting line, a quick bike ride away. It's also just 2km from Qilou Old Street, which is super convenient for cycling and city walks. There are plenty of great food options nearby too, definitely worth another visit! The hotel front desk knew I was running the marathon and kindly arranged for a late check-out, which I really appreciated. Thumbs up!
