Guest UserThis was my second stay at Z奢 in Haikou, and the hotel staff were as welcoming as ever. From helping with table reservations, luggage assistance, arranging for forgotten items to be sent back, to complimentary souvenirs, and the children's center's attention to kids – you can really feel the vacation and family-friendly hotel atmosphere. Oh, and the roujiamo at breakfast was delicious! A big thank you to Lina, Wang Nan, and Hailey for their excellent care.

Ad3lin3I stayed at Novotel Haikou West Coast for 6d5n. There are a few ways to travel from Haikou Meilan Airport to the hotel.
The most convenient option is definitely taking Didi. The ride usually takes around 40–50 minutes depending on traffic, and the total fare is approximately RMB 70+.
Another option is taking the railway. You would first need to buy a railway ticket to Haikou Railway Station, which costs around RMB 10 and wait for the departure time. After arriving at Haikou Railway Station, you will have to take Didi to the hotel for around RMB 15.
There are also buses available, although I did not personally try this option during my trip.
The hotel provides free laundry facilities including washing machines, dryers, detergent, and even disinfectant for laundry use. Everything worked properly and the dryer actually dried the clothes well, which was very convenient for travellers.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The pillow and bed were cozy, the air-conditioning worked very well, and the room felt warm and relaxing. Daily housekeeping replenished 2 bottles of mineral water and 3 complimentary beverages (sparkling water, Coke, and milk), which was a nice touch.
The staff were also accommodating. They allowed me to extend my checkout by 2 hours, which normal check out timing is at 12pm. (additional late checkout charges at rmb40/hr).
I am staying at level 4 (total there are 5 levels). I was lucky enough to get a room on the same floor as the gym and laundry area, which made everything very convenient.
In terms of location, I think it depends on the purpose of your stay. If your main plan is visiting attractions in the city area every day, this may not be the most convenient option as travelling usually takes around 30–40 minutes by car and each trip can cost around RMB 30+ – 40+ depending on traffic.
However, if you are looking for a relaxing hotel stay near the west coast area, this hotel is actually a very good choice.
One thing to note is that there are not many eateries nearby. The nearest convenient shopping mall area is called Yuanda (well known one), where you can find restaurants, supermarkets, and snacks. You can take didi there at Rmb 5 to 10 or you can walk there also, but I dont suggest.
The only downside for me was that I occasionally noticed cigarette smoke smell in some common areas, and there was a slight dried seafood/damp smell when I return to my room after a day, which may be related to the coastal location but there is a ventilation in the room .
Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel.
*Sorry for the photo quality. I only recorded videos of the room during my stay, so these are screenshots taken from the videos.

Guest UserThis is one of the most satisfying hotels I've stayed at so far 😊 The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, breakfast offers a rich variety, and the staff are attentive and thoughtful... The resort has a kids' pool, and there's a bubble party in the afternoon, which the little ones absolutely loved... Just across the road is the beach where you can collect seashells 🐚 and I even spotted some small crabs 🦀... Upon check-out, Miss Wang at the front desk even prepared a souvenir gift for us 🎁 All in all, it's a seaside hotel worth staying at 🌴

Facilities: The hotel is very new and has all the necessary amenities. There's a washing machine, gym, and restaurant. The environment is excellent, tastefully decorated in a vintage and Nanyang style. The bedding is very comfortable; the mattress is just right, not too soft or too hard. Each bed comes with two types of pillows, so guests who prefer either soft or firm pillows will find one that suits them – that's a huge plus! The 4th-floor restaurant also serves great food, making it possible to spend the entire day at the hotel without needing to go out.
Cleanliness: All tables in the room, including those in the bathroom, were very clean.
Service: The front desk staff wasn't overly enthusiastic, but they did handle everything I needed them to, so it was fine. The airport transfer driver was nice and quite chatty.
Airport pick-up/drop-off service: Having the airport transfer service was truly hassle-free, and the vehicles provided were new and comfortable.

The hotel's hygiene is excellent, and the facilities are well-maintained. From the front desk staff to the housekeeping, executive lounge, and breakfast restaurant attendants, as well as the doormen and porters, everyone's service was superb and very attentive. A special shout-out to Yu Yuhuan at the front desk for her warm and professional service; she even gave a welcome gift to my child! While the dinner selection at the executive lounge isn't extensive, every dish was delicious. Plus, the sunset view from the 20th-floor terrace is absolutely stunning. The breakfast restaurant is spacious and not crowded, offering a wide variety of tasty Chinese and Western options that surpass many other hotels of the same star rating. The hotel also has plenty of free parking. In the evening, you can enjoy a lively stroll near Century Bridge. I will definitely choose to stay at The Westin Haikou again.

arkenchanterWhen I came to Haikou, I booked The Langham so I could go for a run in the morning. My last stay at a Langham was in Shanghai, and just like there, the lobby had a lovely, welcoming scent. The hotel lobby is on the 40-something floor. The room decor is typical British style. The location is excellent; you step right out into Wanlv Park, perfect for a morning run in the 'oxygen bar.' You can even run all the way to the seaside near Yundong, which is very pleasant. It's not far from Free Bay, and there's also MixC nearby, so finding food isn't an issue. The only downsides are that the gym is a bit small and the equipment is quite old. Hotels seem to be cutting corners these days. All the toiletries are in large dispensers, and the water provided is just standard, but there's plenty of it. Regardless, the location is superb. There's construction happening next door by China Resources, so if your room isn't in a good spot, it might be noisy.

Our anniversary stay at the Ritz-Carlton Haikou was fantastic! Having our butler, Winni, made the experience even more comfortable. She was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout our entire stay. The room decorations were so meticulously done and exceeded my expectations; my girlfriend absolutely loved them! The complimentary small gifts and custom room key cards were also very exquisite. Breakfast was English style, and they helped us with drink arrangements. The drinks at the bar were just okay, but the 'all-you-can-eat' at Tin Lung Heen was absolutely delicious 😋. We'll definitely choose the Ritz again next time we're in Haikou.

Guest UserOur family stayed at the hotel, and our butler, Fiona, provided exceptionally attentive and thoughtful service. She proactively contacted us even before check-in to meticulously arrange everything, including helping us upgrade our room type and offering complimentary breakfast. During our stay, she continuously followed up, always checking on our comfort, and was very quick to respond to any requests. The hotel boasts an excellent sea view with a wide vista and outstanding scenery. The children's swimming pool has plenty of shade, so it's mostly protected from the sun during the day, which deserves high praise. The adult swimming pool is huge, the water is crystal clear, and it's not crowded, making for a fantastic swimming experience. The hotel also organized children's activities in both the morning and afternoon, which the kids absolutely loved. With the thoughtful butler service and beautiful sea views, we were very satisfied with our stay this trip.

Guest UserThis place offers incredible value for money, far surpassing most other accommodations in the area. The room was meticulously cleaned, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, so there was no dampness or strange odors. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. The host was incredibly thoughtful, providing essential items like umbrellas and chargers for emergencies. The location is super convenient, and taking a taxi to various attractions is very affordable. The service was attentive and thorough. I've already recommended it to my friends!

Guest UserI booked this room with my family, who said it was terrible. In terms of hygiene and basic facilities, it was even worse than the twin room we booked.
There are many small bugs on the wooden board, crawling to many places in the room
The cleaning is not in place. The previous tenant ate and there are still stains in the room.
The hair is visible on the ground
Even the door switch is not installed, it is not connected
Lack of hot water at night
This is probably the result of choosing cement flooring and opening the business as soon as possible. The stains cannot be cleaned, and the carpet in the room is also dirty. If you don't clean these things in the room, it is recommended to take them away, otherwise you can see at a glance that they are not cleaned 🫣
The B&B doesn't look like it was opened in 2024. The surrounding environment and room facilities are not well maintained.
It is recommended that B&B owners go for a minimalist style and remove unnecessary things to avoid creating sanitary blind spots.
Finally, it is okay to check in and play with sand and water, but the prerequisite is that you are not a person who pays attention to hygiene.
Although I didn’t take photos of the above questions, you can find out if I’m wrong by booking a room.
