Sheraton Haikou Hotel

I stayed for four nights, and apart from the slightly higher price during the October National Holiday, there were no other issues. The room seems to have been renovated recently; it's quite new and equipped with a dehumidifier. The soundproofing is excellent, and the balcony is also a plus. I was a bit worried after seeing some negative reviews before checking in, but I found it to be very good after staying. The butler service was also great; they promptly resolved any issues and even brought hot milk when the weather turned cold. In the evening, you can walk directly to the beach, and the pool facilities are good too; the kids had a blast.

The scenery at the Sheraton Haikou truly exceeded expectations! The hotel features a vast tropical coconut grove that leads straight through the gardens to a private beach. The guest room balcony offers a wide, open view—blue seas, clear skies, and swaying coconut palms by day, and breathtaking West Coast sunsets by evening. The seaside pool seamlessly blends with the gardens, and the gentle sea breeze is so therapeutic. It’s a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, with picturesque views at every turn. The resort vibe is totally on point—perfect for quietly taking in the ocean and unwinding.

Overall, a great experience. The room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable. The butler, Zirong, was proactive and thoughtful in sharing various hotel information, responded promptly to any questions, and provided meticulous service. The only minor drawback was that the room phone was occasionally unclear, which slightly hindered communication and is something I hope can be optimized. The hotel environment is pleasant, and I will definitely consider staying here again next time I visit Haikou.

The experience exceeded expectations 👍 The room was clean and spacious, fully equipped, and offered a very comfortable sleep. The buffet breakfast had a rich variety of options, including authentic Hainan flavors. The butler service was attentive, efficient, and extremely responsive. The seaside pool is stunning, and the natural hot springs are great to soak in. It gives off a strong vacation vibe, highly recommended!

Quite a nice place. The resort grounds are great in every way, the service is thoughtful, and the kids had a wonderful time. There is a wide variety of food, and the noodle soups are delicious, too. I first came here over a decade ago, and the food still tastes just as good.

During the National Day holiday, I took my two little ones and my spouse on a trip and chose the Sheraton Haikou Hotel. The hotel offers activities for children, and the staff are all very patient, so even if we didn't go out, the kids wouldn't get bored. And then there's the butler service! Butler CoCo's service was incredibly attentive. She proactively helped us with any issues we had during our stay, and even prepared gifts for both children at check-out, along with an emergency small gift bag. If we travel again, Sheraton will definitely be our top choice.

This family-friendly Sheraton only manages a passing grade. Aside from the pool, which looks stunning and makes for great photos, almost everything else is just barely average. The butler service lacked initiative—they responded when asked, so that’s a passing mark, but nothing more. The rooms are dated with poor soundproofing, definitely not ideal for light sleepers. Although it bills itself as a family resort, the activities are outsourced. Most of the free ones are generic, like pool foam parties, while the more unique experiences all come with an extra charge—like crab catching or coconut tree climbing. For two kids, one activity costs around 300 RMB, and two will run you 600 RMB, which really hurts the value for money. Other activities like car rentals and photo shoots are the same story. If you keep your expectations low, you might still have a decent time. Breakfast was very mediocre. There were only two coffee machines, and they could only brew Americanos, meaning you had to pour your own milk manually...

We had a wonderful stay and a truly relaxing and comfortable break at the hotel. Our butler, Zirong, thoughtfully introduced and shared the hotel's wide range of kids' activities with us. The little one had an absolute blast participating and was full of excitement throughout. The butler service was attentive and meticulous, and the overall setting is perfect for family getaways with kids. It was a fantastic experience all around.
