The hotel entrance is a bit hidden, but as soon as you approach, someone will open the door for you. Even at 3 PM, you might not get a clean room right away, which shows how popular it is. Aside from the pillows being just okay, everything else is quite comfortable.

I stayed for five nights, and on the first night, I woke up with back and neck pain. On the second day, I noticed red spots on my body. On the third day, I bought some insect bite relief. It might also have been because the weather cleared up and the room got some sun, but either way, the first two days were uncomfortable. Also, the tissues were often in short supply.
On the positive side, there were many good things. The hotel is right by the subway and bus stops, making it convenient to get to Sai Kung and Stanley. The Chinese restaurant had excellent quality food. The room was cleaned twice daily, and there was a water dispenser for drinking water. The slippers were also good quality and wearable.

I stayed at the Royal Plaza Hotel throughout my self-guided trip to Hong Kong, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I simply must write a detailed review.
The room was cleaned daily by dedicated staff, with impeccable hygiene control. The entire room was spotless, clean, and comfortable. The butler service was highly responsive and efficient; when I needed cutlery, it was delivered to the room instantly, which was very thoughtful. Every evening, I like to relax with a bath. The bathtub was clean and odorless. After a tiring day of travel, a hot bath washed away all the fatigue. Downstairs, there's direct access to Mui Wah Bing Tang, offering authentic Hong Kong-style food readily available and delicious, making dining out extremely convenient.
What surprised me most was the location: the hotel is seamlessly connected to Grand Century Place, and Mong Kok East Station is right outside. Taking the MTR to major popular spots like Ocean Park, Disneyland, Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Causeway Bay was a breeze, with no need to worry about transportation. In Hong Kong, where space is at a premium, the rooms are spacious and wide, providing maximum comfort, suitable for both family trips and solo travelers.
Two small, heartwarming suggestions for the hotel's improvement:
Currently, the cutlery and bowls provided are a bit small. It was slightly inconvenient when I occasionally cooked Samyang Buldak noodles at night. If larger instant noodle bowls could be added, it would better cater to the needs of young guests. Also, if a stainless steel caddy could be installed on the bathtub, allowing for a glass of wine, aromatherapy, or a book while bathing, the ambiance and experience would be even better.

I chose a newly renovated room.
The hotel service was very good, from the front desk handling check-in efficiently to the housekeeping staff being responsive and quick to resolve any issues. Check-out and room inspection were also handled promptly. For Hong Kong, where space is at a premium, getting a room like this is already quite good.
For a 6-night stay, there's a HKD 1000 deposit. I recommend paying with cash for convenience, as the refund is also in cash upon check-out. If you pay by card, there's a billing cycle at check-out, which could take several business days.
Toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, but a hairdryer, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are.
On the newly renovated floor, the renovation smell was quite noticeable just outside the elevator on the 17th floor. The housekeeping staff on the 17th floor were polite, courteous, and understanding, which was great! 👍

I specifically chose to stay at the Rosewood Hong Kong, a benchmark for luxury hotels in the city, and overall, it met my expectations, with only a minor disappointment regarding the bathrobe.
The room layout was spacious and bright, with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the complete Victoria Harbour skyline. The daytime scene of blue seas and boats, and the nighttime spectacle of countless city lights, each had their own unique charm. The entire room featured high-quality wood furnishings and plaid soft decor. The walk-in closet offered ample storage, and the dual showers and scenic bathtub were top-notch. Amenities like toiletries, TWG tea sets, and Nespresso coffee machines were thoughtfully provided. The turndown service each evening included an aromatherapy scent and a small snack, showing exceptional attentiveness.
Service was consistently excellent throughout my stay. The concierge and butler were friendly, professional, and promptly responded to any requests. Breakfast offered both buffet and à la carte options, with high-quality Hong Kong-style Nissin Demae Itcho, desserts, and fresh fruits. The high-altitude infinity pool directly overlooks the sea; it was quiet and uncrowded, making for a perfectly relaxing swim. Direct access to K11 Musea downstairs made shopping and getting around incredibly convenient.
The only minor flaw was the quality of the bathrobes in the room. The fabric felt rather thin, lacking the softness and plushness found in bathrobes at other luxury hotels in the same category. This was a stark contrast to the otherwise exquisite and luxurious amenities in the room. The experience would be even more perfect if the bathrobe material were upgraded.
Overall, the minor imperfection doesn't overshadow the many positives. It remains a must-stay hotel for sea views in Hong Kong, and I would definitely choose it again on my next visit.FromDKK 4,864

Upon our arrival at the Grand Club, Kylie welcomed us with a radiant smile and exceptional politeness. Her check-in process was flawless and professional - a 100/100 service! Knowing that we were celebrating a special occasion, Kylie thoughtfully upgraded our room and arranged a lovely mini cake and red wine. The room was bright and offered a gorgeous balance of half city view and half harbour view, making us feel utterly relaxed.
- Afternoon Tea & Evening Cocktail (High Praise for Joey’s Professionalism)
The Afternoon Tea served light bites including sandwiches, fruit, macarons, canelés, scones, and puffs etc. Although the selection was slightly more concise than expected, the quality and taste were delightful.
During the Evening Cocktail section at around 6:00 PM, the Grand Club was packed. While we were in line waiting, a guest became quite loud and unreasonable, complaining about not being registered or offered a drink. Joey handled the situation with unbelievable composure and grace. Despite the guest’s rudeness, Joey remained exceptionally polite and professional throughout. Immediately after resolving the issue, she walked over to arrange our welcome drinks and even took the time to introduce the name and origin of the white wine I wanted to try. Her attentiveness and crisis handling were deeply impressive!
- Gym Facilities & Grand Café Breakfast
We also visited the open-concept 24-hour gym in the evening, it was well-equipped with a great variety of machines.
Breakfast at the Grand Café offered a broad and fresh selection of food. If we had to share two tiny pieces of feedback: we were a bit sad to find no hash browns (a breakfast favorite!), and some of the pastries were quite large - making them a little smaller would allow guests to sample a wider variety.
Overall, this was a wonderful and memorable anniversary trip. Huge thanks to Kylie, Joey, and the Grand Club team for their heart-warming hospitality. We will definitely be back!FromDKK 2,084

I had a pleasant stay. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation—the MTR, ferry terminal, and bus stops are right downstairs, and the airport shuttle goes directly to the hotel. It's not as noisy as some of the more popular areas. The sea view room offered a wide-open view. North Point Pier is right downstairs, and there are plenty of dining options on the nearby streets. The hotel even thoughtfully provided vouchers for local snacks, which was a nice personal touch. The room's cleanliness was impeccable, and the bedding was comfortable. The only minor drawback was the slightly small room, but that's understandable given its prime location in Hong Kong. Overall, I was very satisfied and would choose to stay here again. I was originally supposed to transit in Hong Kong on July 14th, but due to a typhoon, I was worried about my connecting flight. So, on the evening of July 11th, I scrambled to book an earlier flight to Hong Kong. Because of the typhoon concerns, my family only hastily booked the hotel after I had boarded the plane.
I've been to Hong Kong too many times, and I usually avoid Tsim Sha Tsui because it's simply too crowded. Plus, this hotel is only four-star and in a busy area, so my preconceived notions led me to believe it wouldn't be great. Well, I was proven wrong; this place is fantastic! Super satisfied. It's better than many five-star hotels I've booked in Hong Kong.
Special thanks to Jacky Wu at the front desk for check-in. By the time I arrived at the hotel, it was nearly midnight. It seemed like there were two guests ahead of me encountering different issues, and he was handling them urgently. I was already very tired, and my two children were exhausted too. I wanted to check in quickly but had to wait. While waiting, I observed that he was very humble and polite to these guests, and I could tell he was genuinely anxious to help them resolve their problems, all while remaining calm and composed.
When it was my turn, he sincerely apologized for the long wait. I've stayed in many Hong Kong hotels, but I personally feel that many five-star hotels, due to the busy and high-pressure work environment, tend to be cold and mechanical in their communication. It's not discrimination, but I just don't really like it.
The reason I'm giving Jacky Wu a special mention is because I saw that even under high-pressure work, he was still able to solve many problems with warmth and care.
The room was incredibly spacious. The executive lounge was also good. I won't go into too much detail about these; you can see for yourself in the photos – what you see is what you get.
There was also a minor incident: when checking out, I left a bag in the hotel lobby. I only realized it when I got to the airport. I called the hotel, and they quickly confirmed they had found it. Luckily, I still had plenty of time before my flight, so I took the MTR back to pick it up, and the two-hour round trip was manageable.
During my stay, the cleaning staff for our room and the executive lounge attendants were all very enthusiastic and friendly.FromDKK 1,059

The room wasn't very big, and the facilities were a bit dated. Daily cleaning was done promptly as requested, but the overall hygiene was just okay. The main advantage is its excellent location for getting around, being close to the University of Hong Kong and my child's dorm. This is especially convenient for older guests, as both walking and taking public transport are easy. The surrounding small restaurants and coffee shops offer great food, and the hotel's daily breakfast was very light and tasty. Getting to and from the airport, or going shopping in Central to see the sea view, is super convenient by MTR or bus (the picture below shows the sea view near IFC in Central). The hotel's decor is a bit dated, but the cleanliness was quite good. They also offer a free shuttle bus service to Langham Place (Mong Kok area). My only complaint is that there was no hot water for showering – seriously, no hot water! The water pressure was very weak, and the temperature barely reached 40 degrees Celsius. It was only slightly warm if you stood right under the showerhead, but more than 5 centimeters away and it was cold. It's been rainy and chilly these past few days, so coming back from sightseeing to shower with such a weak stream of lukewarm water was unbearable. I reported it to the hotel, and they said it was due to many people using the water, causing the temperature to drop. However, I tried showering during off-peak hours, and it was still not hot enough. The hotel also doesn't provide toiletries or drinking water.FromDKK 462
