Taohuawu Lijiang Snow Mountain Secret Realm Luxury Resort Hotel

This is by far the best and most comfortable hotel we've stayed at in recent years! 👍 Firstly, the facilities are excellent. The rooms are highly automated, clean, and tidy, though many hotels and guesthouses offer similar standards. Secondly, the views are stunning. From the room, you can see the lake, the pastures, and even a glimpse of the snowy mountain peaks. If you venture to the cliffside cafe behind the pastures, you get a panoramic view of the mountains. However, many hotels also boast great views. Then, because it's in a scenic area and a bit off the beaten path, going out for meals isn't an option, so the food is crucial. The guesthouse's meals exceeded my expectations and could even be customized! We prefer light flavors and requested less oil, less salt, and no MSG. To our surprise, a simple tofu and fish soup was incredibly fresh and light – we didn't even feel thirsty afterward. It was the best meal we had during our entire stay in Lijiang! But the biggest highlight has to be the guesthouse staff. Whatever we posted in the group chat was met with an immediate response. @Taohuawu Daniel Wu drove us around to different spots: up the mountain for coffee, archery, horseback riding, and crafting. Every young man and woman we saw at the guesthouse was full of youthful energy and enthusiasm! Finally, a big thank you to Jinduo Le, Qianduo Duo, Kele, Dabai, Li Kui, and the four adorable newborn kittens for adding so much surprise and joy to our trip.

Right at the foot of Yulong Snow Mountain, it's perfect for sightseeing and photos. The room was huge with several air conditioners and underfloor heating, providing ample hot and cold air – so comfortable! I loved the floor-to-ceiling windows and the skylight; I lay in bed for ages just gazing at the snow-capped mountains and the starry sky. They also offer a rich breakfast and plenty of activities. I stayed here for two days and was never bored with horseback riding at the ranch, cliffside coffee, archery, and handicraft making. It's uncrowded, peaceful, and offers great privacy. I'll definitely be back!

This stunning ranch, nestled at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, is also the filming location for 'Fifty Miles of Peach Blossoms.' During this season of forest renewal, the layered vegetation, coupled with the majestic snow-capped peaks, creates an enchanting vista. The hotel offers a wealth of activities, including horseback riding, archery, boating, lakeside strolls, swinging, witnessing the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise,' cliffside snow mountain afternoon tea, pinecone DIY, and tie-dyeing, among others. Its prime location at the base of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain means breathtaking views are always at your fingertips. The rich ******* culture is also fully embraced, with offerings like ******* butter tea and bonfires, ensuring guests are never bored during their stay. The standalone stargazing cabins feature remote-controlled retractable roofs on both sides, allowing for comfortable stargazing without braving the cold. Each cabin comes standard with Marshall speakers and Parma bath amenities, and a butler-driven vehicle provides seamless transfers for arrivals and departures, guaranteeing comfort and convenience.

This is our fourth year traveling with Fufu, and I've finally found a hotel where both parents and kids can relax without conflict. For parents, 'relax' is such a luxury, as children are always full of curiosity and energy. The moment the hotel butler sent me the activity schedule, I knew I'd chosen the right place. There are so many activities for kids! Horse riding, boating, fruit picking, fabric printing, archery – Fufu had a blast and burned off all that energy. This allowed me to truly unwind and relax. And who would've thought a dog would steal the show at the evening bonfire? Away from the noisy attractions, we quietly enjoyed the unique beauty of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. I've been to Lijiang many times, but this is the first time I've truly felt the wild charm of living amidst nature. As far as the eye can see, there are snow-capped mountains, lakes, forests, and pastures. You can go boating, horse riding, archery, and do handicrafts. In the evening, under the starry sky, we learned to make butter tea by the fireplace... This is what a vacation should be. Taohuawu Ranch is far from the bustling tourist spots and still a bit of a mountain drive from the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain tourist center. We stayed in a lakeside stargazing cabin, where the first floor was even a stable! After dropping off our luggage, we eagerly went to watch the staff train horses. Riding freely across a ranch like this, even the wind feels liberating. The cliffside cafe is even more beautiful, offering panoramic views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. We came early in the morning to see the 'golden mountain' sunrise – and I was lucky enough to witness it (the butler provides weather updates in advance). I used to think 'chasing mountains and seas' was a distant concept. Now I realize that with the right place, mountains, seas, and even miracles can become an everyday sight outside your window. This unique morning ritual is the most luxurious gift this place can offer you. I really must say: all the staff provided excellent service, and the food in the restaurant was delicious too! 👍

If you're looking for a romantic getaway, this B&B will not disappoint. The room was decorated so warmly and romantically, and we even got to stargaze from our room at night – it's been ages since I've had such a romantic experience under the stars! Coming back here every evening was a pure delight. The hotel staff were incredibly attentive, even preparing a welcome afternoon tea for us. You absolutely must try their fish – it was incredibly delicious! They truly made us feel special. The location is also fantastic, with great 'feng shui,' and they offer a variety of activities like tie-dyeing, horseback riding, bonfire parties, and a detailed butter tea making experience. The staff, especially the young man working there, was so kind and provided excellent service! This was an unforgettable stay, and I would recommend it to everyone!!

During national holidays, secluded B&Bs/hotels are usually my top choice. Although getting there can be a bit tricky, they generally offer fewer crowds and beautiful scenery. This May Day, I chose Taohua Wu for a two-night stay, and it was truly excellent. For friends who love grand mountains and waters but aren't keen on climbing, I give this accommodation a five-star recommendation. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable, fully equipped with everything you need. Toiletries are Acqua di Parma, and bathroom fixtures are Kohler. There's a small detail I really want to commend: the room's projector comes with a pre-paid membership! It's the first time I've encountered such thoughtful service! The hotel's cafe allows you to sip coffee while overlooking Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from a cliff, enjoying the stunning views all to yourself, without the risk of altitude sickness from climbing the mountain. The hotel grounds are very spacious; you can ride horses in the pasture, go boating, and in the evenings, there's a bonfire and ******* tea experience, among other activities. Although there aren't many staff members, they represent various ethnic groups. I learned a lot about different ethnic customs and interesting anecdotes from them. Everyone was incredibly observant, and it's the first time I've encountered staff who felt as warm and friendly as family! Whatever you needed, they were already getting the car started without a second thought – so reliable! The complimentary travel photoshoot was also fantastic; the two photographers were very skilled and there was absolutely no forced upselling. Most importantly, the hotel has three incredibly well-behaved cats (Mocha, Black Eight, and Li Kui) and two free-roaming dogs (Duoduo and Duole). Spending two days with them was pure joy. This hotel was the absolute highlight of my May Day trip!

The best decision I made on this trip to Lijiang was to ditch the crowded guesthouses in the old town and stay at this hidden gem tucked away in the mountains. I was immediately blown away the moment I stepped into the room. The entire space featured a warm, natural wood design, was incredibly spacious, and the bedding was so comfortable I never wanted to get out of bed. Lying on the sofa at night, listening to the wind outside the window, I instantly felt completely relaxed. What surprised me most was the hotel's ******* experience! In the evening, we gathered around a warm ******* stove, watching the flames dance, and the owner even personally made us butter tea. It was rich and creamy, and warmed me right down to my toes. This immersive ******* atmosphere is something you simply can't experience in the old town. And I have to highlight the location! It's super close to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain; it's just a 10-minute drive to the hotel's cliffside cafe. We left around 6 AM and perfectly caught the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunrise' phenomenon – the golden sunlight spilling over the snow-capped peak was truly breathtaking, beyond words. The hotel service was also incredibly thoughtful; the staff were all very enthusiastic and always willing to help. In short, this is a hotel you won't want to leave. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Lijiang! I highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a slower pace of life.

Overall, a great experience. 1. The scenery is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and water, and it's very quiet with few people. Lying in bed at night and seeing the Big Dipper through the roof felt truly magical. 2. The service was attentive and warm; almost every request was met promptly. The various experiences offered by the hotel, such as the afternoon tea on the mountaintop and the butter tea in the evening, were all excellent. For the butter tea, we got to try grinding walnuts and churning butter ourselves. Everyone sat around the stove with a dog soundly sleeping nearby, and we learned a lot about local culture, which was fantastic! 👍 Plus, the complimentary breakfast was incredibly lavish; I regretted not having a bigger stomach. 😭 3. The cats and dogs at the hotel are adorable and very friendly, including a golden retriever, a poodle, and a tabby cat. They seem to be living very comfortably. 😂 Some other points: 1. The hotel is located deep in the mountains, so getting there isn't easy. 2. There are quite a few mosquitoes and insects in the fields, so it's good to be prepared.
